New York : 'Anchorman 2' is All Set to Keep New York Classy

Just last week the cast and crew of Anchorman 2 turned downtown Atlanta in NYC, circa 1977, but this weekend they'll be taking over the real thing.
Anchorman: The Legend Continues will help New York City stay classy tomorrow, Saturday, May 17, as they film scenes throughout Manhattan. Anchorman 2, or Teaching Manheim (the movie's code name) is scheduled to bring a little bit of 70s style to the area around the Flatiron Building and Madison Square Park, before shooting scenes at Rockefeller Center.

Seoul: Foreign Grocery Friday: The Foot-Long Ice Cream Cones of Seoul, South Korea

When we travel, one of our favorite things to do is to pop into a local grocery store and check out the food products and candies we'd never find anywhere else. So we're trying out this new feature, Foreign Grocery Friday, where each week we'll feature some of our (and your) favorite overseas treats. Got a recommendation? Let us know!
Walk through the super popular shopping district of Myeungdong in Seoul, South Korea and you're bound to see them. Strolling young couples take a moment to put away their smartphones and focus on the most impressive street food south of the Cheonggyecheon: the 32cm ice cream cone.
Okay so it's not technically a grocery, but you wouldn't want to buy this at a supermarket anyway. Available in several basic flavors as well as a mix, the ice cream is served up by a few skilled workers who pull the soft serve from sun down until past midnight, depending on the strength of the crowds. The allure of the foot-high cone is simple: it's cheap, it's quick, it's cooling after a warm early summer day, it's a treat, and it's an ideal subject for photos posted to social media.

Rome: WHOA. Alitalia's Flagship Lounge Now Includes a Flight Simulator

Just when you thought ever-bankrupt Italian airline Alitalia was a last-choice option for crossing the Atlantic, they go and do something cool like debut a renovated lounge with all new bells and whistles.
The "Dolce Vita" lounge, located within Terminal 1 at Rome's Fiumicino Airport welcomes those flying Alitalia in Magnifica class, Business, Ottima or Comfort, plus those holding elite SkyTeam status. Alitalia has a total of 15 lounges, but this is the largest and thus, the flagship. Believe it or not, it only took them two months to complete the renovation, to reopen in early March.
So, let's get down to the good stuff! The Dolce Vita lounge now boasts a bunch of "Made in Italy" features, like furniture from B&B Italia, coffee by Illy, catering by Eataly, a wall mosaic by Bisazza, and Prandina lighting. "The Pilot Bar" serves up the aforementioned Illy and Eataly yummies, and the areas for work and relaxation will delight those with eyes for design. Still, we can't help but be most psyched for a massive new toy installed in the lounge: a Boeing 737 flight simulator!

French Maid or Flight Attendant? One Airline is Considering Crew Costumes

If you're planning to fly on China's cheapy carrier, Spring Airlines, the person welcoming you at the aircraft door could be a maid or butler. No, the low-cost carrier isn't upping their game with white glove service in the skies, but they are having a little fun.
Spring called upon their fans via their Facebook page to suggest themes for flight attendant costumes, the post was accompanied by a young lady attired like a french maid. Some people took it seriously, offering up themes like traditional Chinese Opera, schoolgirl outfits and Star Wars as themes, others found it pretty offensive.

When Bomb-Sniffing Dogs Bite Back

The airport's bomb-sniffing dog apparently decided that the woman needed to be bitten, so it bit her.
How hard the dog actually bit her has been a subject of open debate. EMS personnel on the scene said it "looked like a scratch." She says that there was bleeding and the bruise afterward was the size of her hand. You can judge for yourself who's telling the truth by looking at the picture here. Try not to be eating food when you look at it though, because it's actually kind of horrific.

What Everyone's Buying in Singapore: the Sarong Kebaya

Welcome to "What Everyone's Buying," a new series on souvenirs, wherein we investigate what tourist trinkets are the hottest selling in hotspots around the world.
Fun fact: the iconic "Singapore Girl" of Singapore Airlines is so iconic that, in 1994, she became the first commercial, non-celeb figure to enter Madame Tussaud's wax museum in London.
The clothing itself is simple—a traditional tailored kebaya top with sarong skirt. It's also quite timeless; this has been the uniform of Singapore Airlines' female flight attendants since 1972 and part of what makes the look of the Singapore Girl such a long-lasting favorite is the lovely batik print.
No matter what airline you're flying to Singapore, at some point you'll be faced with the culture of Singapore Airlines and this florals-on-a-field-of-blue design. From billboards to glossy magazine ads, to the Girls themselves walking through Changi Airport, the SIA sarong kebaya appears over and over and eventually you may find yourself wanting a piece of the action.

In-Flight WiFi Will Be Just One More Fee on Ryanair

One of the world’s best airlines (when comes to ancillary revenue) is getting ready to add another option for you to tack onto your flight total. Fair warning that this is still very much speculation, but Ryanair just might be flipping the switch on in-flight WiFi sooner rather than later.
There’s no decision yet, and they’re still working behind the scenes to determine what company would even provide the in-flight magic. It does sound like LiveTV is just one of the groups in the running for the contract. Apparently, Ryanair isn't exactly sold on the idea as they don’t know if the installation costs will be totally worth it in the long run.
