Decompile FXP to PRG foxpro26 for DOS(and Windows) fxp2prg

What is it? A windows program that will decompile files with .fxp extension usually used by FoxPro that are encrypted and compiled .PRG files. It will generate the .PRG file from a .FXP file

And for those whose antivirus detect refox.exe as a virus/backdoor, take a look at this:

Well, since I wasn't using an antivirus... I can now tell you the following:

AVG and NOD32 seem to trigger some protection mechanism inside refox.exe (but this is just a guess) because even though the latter(NOD32) is not detecting any virus in refox.exe it does change its contents(on scanning it) thus in effect it won't run ie. Program Violation. So either temporarily disable the antivirus until u're finished running refox or see refox being unable to run

Anyway here's the md5sum of the working refox.exe
bae60e4e7fb1f1fcab8ab8c35fd96019 *Refox.exe

You can check it with total commander by creating a file with .md5 extension in the same folder as refox.exe and putting the above line in it then hit enter on this md5 file.
The NOD32 modified refox.exe file, just by scanning it, so here's it's md5 (again this is the BAD refox.exe):
74c911b4aa94175ed64722b0be0b3e0c *ReFox.exe

So as you can see, you can easily deduce if your refox.exe was corrupted by checking the md5.

Seems that with NOD32, if disabled while installing refox and then after install it's enabled then the refox.exe file remains as it should be and the program works. Maybe this works with other antiviruses that you have and break refox.exe and display Program Violation

Ok so things may not seem as they appear, not exactly at least. The MD5sum of the refox.exe file seems to be changing considering the code within it that does change the files where it resides. So Anyway, the above solution with NOD32 still does work! What and why it happens is less important and I now choose not to pursue the problem further...

This free PDF converter tool will let you create PDFs from any program that has a Print option. The process is simple, but can be a little confusing to anyone who has never used a PDF converter. Start by installing CutePDF - you may need to restart your computer.

Step-by-step: creating PDFs
In this example, we'll assume that you are performing one of the most common requests - how to convert a Microsoft Word file to a PDF without having to pay for PDF programs like Acrobat. Open the file you wish to convert. Remember any file type that you can open in Word can also be converted to a PDF - it could be in HTML, RTF or any other supported format. From the menu, click File-Print. Depending on your version of Windows, this next step may be slightly different (these instructions are for XP). Go to the Printer 'Name' menu and choose CutePDF as the printer. Click the Properties button to make adjustments to the type of PDF you want to create. From the Print window, click the OK button. A new window will appear and here you can specify the filename and location of your PDF document. Click OK and you are done - all you need to do is check your PDF in Adobe's free Acrobat viewer.

The best thing about this system is that other applications such as Excel, Internet Explorer or any software with a Print command can all now create a PDF by this same method. Not bad for a free program.

Here's a final tip - you don’t even need to buy Word to create PDFs from DOC files. If you download Microsoft's free Word viewer, you can convert Word documents to PDFs by using the same print instructions shown above (of course you can't edit the original Word document in the viewer). You can also convert Excel and Powerpoint files to PDFs for free.

As your CD and DVD collection grows, there are two important problems you face - do your CDs and DVDs still work? What can you do when a CD or DVD starts to have problems? These are crucial questions since the discs are used to store valuable files like email, home movies, photographs, business/tax records and music. The solution is to use a free program like CDCheck. It can scan most CDs in a few minutes to tell you if the data is OK - this way, you don't have to find out the hard way that there is a problem. Plus you can use the time it takes for a scan to complete as indicator of the CD or DVDs overall health - even though files may not be recorded as damaged, slower results normally indicate a CD that is on the way out (expect longer times if there are more files on the CD).

If a CD or DVD is showing files with damage or you can no longer read a file in a drive, CDCheck can be switched to recovery mode and make a full sweep of the CD or DVD, recovering lost files along the way. When parts of a file can't be fully recovered, the program will still recover any salvageable fragments. Many file formats such as Zip, TIFF and JPEG can still be used if incomplete (success of this technique varies, depending on the damage). Most zip tools have a 'repair archive' function, and a standard graphics editor can help repair damage to photographs caused by missing fragments.

Since CDCheck is freeware (free for personal use) and a small download, it is worth getting a copy and occasionally using it on your CD or DVD collection.
