I am Thinking Outside (the card)!!!

Good morning. What a beautiful day to be outside! I know that I will be spending my entire day at the ball fields. It is a double header for my little Bean's Beavers Baseball team....GO BEAVERS.

I am really excited to show off this fun canvas I made while teaching my paper class on Wednesday. All my students did an amazing job on there 5X7 canvases.

I am using the Sunshine Emma Set from SP and Company Stamps. I just love her and all the fun sentiments and extras that come along in the set. She is definitely one of my favorite stamp sets from Samantha's SP and Company!

I used the cloud die tool from SP and Company that matches the Sunshine Emma set. I cut it and then used it as a stencil for my clouds.

Love Birds And A Couple Of Challenges!!!

Hi friends and followers. I cannot believe that my little Bean only has 5 more in school days left. I am so excited for him to be finished. This has been a tough year for him and I both. Having a teacher focus on discipline instead of teaching is just mind blowing to me. Especially since it has effected Bean in a negative way. Not that he is perfect (I think he is) but he is not the one that needed discipline It was her constant negative approach to the kids that affected Bean. Poor thing was always in fear of being her next target. SO, we WELCOME 1st grade with open arms!
This weeks challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon just screams summer! It is a Red, White and Blue challenge. I just LOVE this color combo for so many different reasons. Of course it reminds me of 4th of July. It reminds me of freedom and I just love any color combo that includes RED!
This card is also for the Stampotique Designers Challenge-Anything Goes Challenge hosted by my teamie Kim. It is to celebrate our 100th challenge at Stampotique!

I am just loving this assortment of 4th of July themed ribbons. They are all so festive!

I have used stamps from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. The set I used is called Mini Butterflies 2.

I had so much fun "ruffling" this pretty lace.

I don't know if you can tell by now, my card is a "Joy" fold card. So easy and fun. I literally haven't made one of these in over a year.

Good morning Jax Bean Stalks friends and followers. I am really thrilled to bring to you a lovely card for my first post over at Really Reasonable Ribbon. I am also excited to be able to use one of my most favorite companies stamps on this project. Is is Teddy Chasing a Butterfly from SP and Company Stamps!

The Really Reasonable Ribbon I used on this project is:

1/8" Diagonal Strip Ribbon-Orange.

I have colored this adorable stamp with my Copics (of course)!

I really love how this ribbon added such a fun POP of color to this card.

This is one of my favorite sentiments from SP and Company! It is included in the Sunshine Emma Set

My entire project was put together with Helmar Craft Glue and Zap Dots.

Good morning Jax Bean Stalks Friends and Followers!! Thank you all for joining me this morning. WOW, what a beautiful couple of days it has been. Loving the Colorado Spring Weather!

Today I am very excited to bring to you a tutorial. I found this fun frame cut out on Silhouette. Deloris did a fantastic job as usual working hard to cut it all out!!! I am featuring stamps and inks from SP and Company. Samantha has working so hard getting ready for her inks to be released in April. They are all fantastic. You can see all the colors HERE. They are Chalk Inks and Samantha has a lovely video tutorial (HERE) letting you know how they differences from regular die and pigment inks.

1. Cut out all frame parts using your Silhouette. My Silhouette's Name is Deloris!

2. Ink up your SP and Company Houndstooth Clear Stamp with "Sea Glass" Chalk Ink.

3. Stamp!

4. Stamp Stamp Stamp some more. Making sure to line up the stamp as you go.

5. TA-DA you have just completed the from portion of your frame.

6. Using SP and Companies "Ocean Waves" Chalk Ink, sponge the edges.

7. Pull out your HELMAR 450 Quick Dry Adhesive and glue down the sides to the front of your frame.

8. Do the same with the sides and the back of the frame Using HELMAR 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.

9. Pick your picture and cut it down to a 4x5.5. Glue it into the opening with HELMAR Professional Acid Free Glue.

10. Cover you Picture and spray the entire frame with Goosebumps!

11. Now you are finished with the frame. Decorate as you would a card!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUZANNE DEAN!!!

Today is Suzanne's birthday and her design team at Color Me Creative wanted to surprise her with a "Teal/Agua" themed birthday blog hop. For my card I have used a sentiment and image from SP and Company Stamps by Samatha Payton. This darling image is called Sunshine Emma. The sentiment comes in the same set. I thought it was a perfect image for this fun birthday hop. I have been taking Suzanne's All About Hair class and am trying to perfect coloring hair with copics. It is a fun class....all Copic coloring artists should try it out. Suzanne is a great teacher. Suzanne also has a new blog featuring lifestyle information and everyday chit chat! SP and Company is having a new "Trends Challenge". To use punches or dies. I have used a circle die on this fun card. The challenge runs through May 31st.

Here is my card featuring Saturated Canary's - Ellie's Birthday

I had lots of fun making this card. It was easy with this adorable image. I made several layers with EP papers and SU cardstock. I love the way the bow turned out. It is double looped! The Stampotique banner image just tied in the birthday theme really well. I used Ranger's Glossy Accents for Ellie's balloons. Also used the Ranger Distressed Stickles in Brushed Pewter. This was the 1st time I have tried the Distressed Stickles. It really made the ground look gravely!! LOVE it!

I have to wish a CONGRATULATIONS to the Beaver's!!! Bean's baseball team won their game last night against the Rams. Bean made 4 hits and 2 runs! He even slid into home plate! YEAH BEAN!
Well another one of Bean's loves is his dog. Buck is still a puppy...going on 2 years old! He is a 75LB black lab! He follows Bean everywhere! They are Furever Friends!
Speaking of FUREVER Friends... Samantha Payton of SP and Company Stamps has named one of her most recent released stamps just that! I just fell in love with this adorable image. I hope you like it too!

I have inked around the edges of my papers using on of the NEW In Color ink pads: Sandcastle. The ink was so smooth and covered perfectly. I am totally loving all the colors. You will have to come back and check out more in my upcoming posts! All the In Color collections can be found HERE.

I had to give you a closeup of this adorable image. The details are just so perfect for this stamp.

So today I have a special card that my best friend's husband ordered for her. It is their Anniversary this weekend. HOPEFULLY she doesn't read my blog on her way to Vegas.

Happy Saturday! Today is my little Bean's 2nd baseball game. They won last night 11 to 7! Yeah go Beavers!! I am just thankful the weather is good...just a little windy and dusty.

I am so excited to be taking over The Scrapmaster's blog by Samantha's today!

I have a simple and fun tag/gift. I have used and old coaster and altered it. The Chevron ribbon and the pink button can both be found at http://www.spandcompany.com.

Here is a close up so you can see the fun button. That pink beauty is a new release for April. It's color is: "Flamingo Pink".

I just LOVE the "Happy Everything" sentiment. The font is perfect. It is one of three stamps in the "Even Bolder Sentiments: Happy mini stamp set".

Happy Saturday. Today we are off to Bean's second baseball game. I love watching him play. It is a "new" experience for him because I have always had him in karate. Such a fun game at this age!

Today I have a Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps card. I have used the bee and the sentiment from the "Spring Poinsettia clear set". I made a background with the bee stamp and then added some washi to make it "Trendy". The Black Pearls are from Miriam's Crafting Supplies.

Not only do we have an brand new Design Team sharing creations, we have a fabulous Guest Designer, Leah L'Orange, showcasing her creations using SP and Company product all month long. Today we are showing off our brand new releases. We've got so many great, new supplies to add to your crafty fun.

Last month we introduced our new Die Tools, and we have even more Die Tools coming out this month! And don't forget about the new SP Storage Binder System to help with organization of dies and stamps. This month, we also have amazing new artist, joining the SP family - Gill Roberts! We will be releasing lots of new Gill Roberts Collection stamp sets today, along with a few coordinating dies.

Scrapmaster's Paradise is now IN COLOR with the release of six new SP exclusive colors. Our exclusive color line now includes button mixtures and coordinating premium chalk ink pads. The ink pads will begin shipping mid-month, but the buttons are available starting right now in the SP and Company Store. What's great about our new button mixtures is they come in adorable metal tins for easy storage and organization!

I stepped out of my comfort zone with this card. I used my watercolor pencils to color in "Teddy Chasing Butterfly". I like it BUT I have to say I still LOVE my Copics. Nice thing about coloring with the watercolors is that all of you who do not own Copics still have the options without spending a fortune (like me) on expensive mediums to create.

Prickley Pear Inspiration

Happy Saturday! I am so excited for my little Bean. He earned his yellow belt in Kick Boxing. He has worked so hard since October. It is a HUGE accomplishment for such a young kid.... Most kids his age take years till they can earn above a white belt. It takes a LOT of self discipline and the ability to concentrate and pay attention. So very proud of my little guy!!!

Well we are back into our 1st full week of school since we were on spring break. So hard to get back in the swing of things. You would think with a whole week off I would have had oodles of time to make pretty projects. NO way man. I lived in the car the entire time. From the movies to the hot springs! FUN FUN FUN. I didn't want it to end.
Do you think sunscreen goes bad even if it has not yet expired. I sprayed myself several times when we went to the hot springs and it was as if I put cooking oil on my skin! Holy Moly did I FRY! My sunscreen expiration date is in 2014. Any thoughts? It was an off and on cloudy day here in Colorado. So I new I better lather on the protection or else. But sadly I looked like a cooked lobster when I got out of that warm water. Better now... I am not at all a fan of burning, but at least my skin turns brown and I have a nice tan line to start out spring.
What all did you do for the break?
Today I have an adorable little boy who has a "Furever Friend". This is my sneak peek/challenge project for SP and Company Stamps. We are so excited to have a new artist in house Gillian Roberts.
