Apple has unveiled new iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle at Apple Music Event held at Sept, 1st. iPod Nano has been completely redesigned, new Nano comes in a much compact shape with many interesting features, while new iPod Shuffle is back with buttons and better battery life.

Steve Jobs called the new Nano a "super popular" device. New iPod Nano is now featuring multitouch functionality. The size has been reduced radically, it is 46% smaller and 42% lighter than its successor. With improved battery, it can play 24 hours of music on a single charge. New Nano will come in six colors and the price tag for the 8GB model is $149 and $179 for the 16GB model.

iPod shuffle has been resigned as well. The Ring buttons are back with VoiceOver technology which enables users to select the songs and playlists without even looking at iPod Shuffle. New Nano has improved battery life, it can play 15 hours of music on a single charge. The new Shuffle will come in five different colors with 2GB of storage and will cost only 45$.

The official Twitter app for iPad has been released by Twitter, Inc. and is available for download at App Store for free. The new Twitter app for iPad takes the full advantage of the large screen of iPad allowing you to view lots of information quickly and smoothly.

With new Panes, Media and Gestures feature, you can view almost any kind of information within your Twitter app including videos, photos, news stories and much more.

Panes: Tapping on a Tweet opens a pane to the right. Depending on the content in that Tweet, you’ll see a video or photo, or maybe a news story, or perhaps another Tweet.

Media: When you tap a video link or open a web page with an embedded video, you can play that video inline.

Gestures: You can pinch on a Tweet to quickly view details about the author and to take actions on a Tweet, such as reply or reTweet.

No need to login: You don’t even need to sign up to get started with Twitter for iPad.

The Gold Master (GM) seed for iOS 4.1 firmware (build 8B117) and iOS 4.1 SDK (build 10M2309) which was announced couple of hours ago at Apple's Media Event 2010 has been released and is now available for download. This GM seed of iOS 4.1 is available for developers and is available for iPhone 4, 3GS & 3G and iPod Touch 2G & 3G users.



For those who don't know, Apple announced iOS 4.1 couple of hours ago at Apple's Media Event 2010. iOS 4.1 features HDR photos, HD video uploads and Game Center for end users. Previously we shared a method which allowed you to downgrade your iPhone and iPod Touch firmware from iOS 4.0.2 to iOS 4.0.1, however the procedure for downgrading was valid only for those devices who have already saved the SHSH blobs of iOS 4.0.1. Folks at PwnMyI Forums have managed to downgrade iOS 4.0.2 to iOS 4.0.1 on iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS (New bootrom) even if you haven't saved the SHSH blobs of iOS 4.0.1.

Steps to Downgrade from iOS 4.0.2 to iOS 4.0.1 Without SHSH Blobs:

1. Download iOS 4.0.1 official IPSW file from here
2. Rename the iOS 4.0.1 file from .IPSW to .ZIP or .RAR and extract it on your desktop using WinZip or WinRAR.




3. Open buildmanifest.plist with Notepad on Windows (Use TextWrangler on Mac)
4. Do search and replace all for 8A306 with 8A400 and save the file.



5. Do the same with restore.plist



6. Download iOS 4.0.2 official IPSW from here and change its extension to .ZIP or .RAR. Once changed, open it with WinRAR or WinZip (DO NOT EXTRACT IT, JUST OPEN IT BY WinRAR)




7. Now drag all the files you extracted in step 2 to the iOS 4.0.2 archive you just opened in the previous step.



8. Now delete all the DMG files that have 002 at the end, leaving only the 001 files left and save the iOS 4.0.2 archive.



9. Chance its extension back from .ZIP or .RAR to .IPSW.



10. Add the 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com line to the host file.



11. Connect your iPhone in DFU mode. To do that just hold "Power" and the "Home" button for exactly 10 seconds and then release "Power" button but keep holding "Home" until iTunes detect your iPhone in Recovery Mode.
12. On the summary page, hold down the SHIFT key on keyboard and press Restore button. You will be asked to choose the firmware file you want to restore, choose the modified iOS 4.0.2 IPSW file. If you are a Mac OS X user, use the ALT+Restore combo to choose the firmware file.



13. Now you can jailbreak iOS 4.0.1 with JailbreakMe and unlock it with Ultrasn0w.

Apple has just confirmed that a Special Event will be held on September 1st 2010 at San Francisco (10AM PT / 1PM ET). Apple is expected to unveil Apple TV named as iTV, next generation iPod Touch 4 with front and back camera for FaceTime and iTunes streaming on this mega event.

After looking at Apple branded guitar image, we can anticipate some music production related announcements. It'd be quite interesting if it's a music related event all together!
