That Basket with Pockets...And the Link to Find the Pattern

I have been getting a lot of inquiries lately about this basket and how to find the tutorial.

Since I originally put this on Pinterest, it's been pinned and re-pinned, so I can't go back and add the correct link to all of the pictures. (I've since learned how to put the link to the actual post with my pictures...) My apologies to all of you who have been coming to my blog to find the information. I haven't been able to figure out what to search for to find it either!

Washi Tape Cards

Are you a washi tape hoarder? I have to admit that I have been in the past... and maybe I still am just a little bit.

So to break my hoarding cycle, I decided to hold a Washi Tape Cards Class. Everyone who came received a package of the Playful Palette Designer Washi Tape to use on their cards. Here are the cards that they made:

Aren't they fun? I love the colors and the look of the washi tape. I may just start using it more! And as a bonus project, everyone was able to make one of these washi tape holders:

The idea for these boxes came from "Pootles Papercraft". She has a video on how to make them on YouTube.

The holders are actually pretty easy to make. If you make one, post a picture so I can see your creation!

It's the New Stampin' Up! Year!!

Hurray! Hurray! The new Stampin' Up! catalog year has begun! Do you have your copy of the new catalog yet? I think it's the best one ever (and I don't say that lightly!).

One of the new stamp sets this year has proven to be very popular and very versatile. It's called Swirly Bird and has a set of coordinating dies called the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits. You've got to love a stamp set where you can make a sailboat, flowers, kites, and much more! Check out just a few cards here for inspiration:

Ahoy, maties!

I love the colors of these flowers - Peekaboo Peach (one of the new In Colors) and Tangerine Tango.

This was one of the make-n-take projects at my New Catalog Open House last week. It features another one of the new In Colors - Flirty Flamingo. And isn't the bird just adorable?

Judi Cayton made this card for a recent swap. She used the new In Color Sweet Sugarplum along with the coordinating new 3/8" Ruched Ribbon.

Birthday Blooms Card Class

This is a week I face with mixed emotions. There are a lot of my favorite stamps and accessories that are retiring, but the new Stampin' Up! catalog will be available to order from on Wednesday, June 1. So I guess that makes up for the retiring items, right?

One thing I'm really sad to see go is the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Catalog. This paper is gorgeous! We used it in a class I held recently and the attendees all agreed that they loved this paper too!

Retiring 2014-2016 In-Colors

Just a head's up for those of you in love with the soon to be retiring In-Colors. The retiring list for all items in the 2015-2016 Stampin' Up! annual catalog will be coming out on Monday, April 18. In the past, the retiring In-Colors have sold out quickly. So I would highly suggest if you want any more cardstock, ink refills, ribbon, etc. that you order them NOW. Don't miss out!

Bunny in a Basket Card

I'm still here, even though I haven't been posting on my blog much lately. I do try to post daily on my Facebook page, so if you're looking for new projects and ideas, you can always go check it out HERE (or the link is at the bottom of each post).

Today I have a sweet bunny card to share - perfect for tucking in an Easter basket! We made this card at the March Chocoholic Chicks meeting. It's not hard, but it does use a variety of supplies.

I saw this adorable card on Wendy Cranford's blog. She even has a video tutorial on her post at http://www.luvinstampin.com/2016/02/youre-eggstraordinary-bunny-basket-easter-card.html. She also has a list of all of the supplies used to make this card. I will tell you that the stamp sets used are from the 2016 Occasions Catalog - Friends & Flowers (for the bunny) and Greatest Greetings for the words.

Picture Perfect

Today's card is one I made for the February Upscale Swap Group. The picture doesn't show the Clear Wink of Stella on the flowers. The center flower has it all over, and the two outside flowers have it on the darker spots (the Rose Red). I'll have to work on capturing that with my camera.

Valentine's Sampler

I'm kind of addicted to making frame "samplers" with stamps and card stock. I recently saw a beautiful Valentine's one, so I decided that I needed to make a new one. After all, my other one is at least four years old. Plus this new one is 12x12" and my "old" one is 8x8". These are all significant differences, wouldn't you agree?

This first picture was taken without a flash, so the colors look a bit washed out.

The second picture is with a flash, but it's so difficult to get a decent picture of something behind glass. Any tips?

I would try to list all the items that I used on the frame, but there are too many to mention. I've tried to list the main ones below.

Birthday Card

We celebrated my daughter's birthday on Monday with dinner out and then her favorite dessert. Not cake this year, but Oreo Ice Cream Dessert. Made by her mom, of course!

Here's the card that I made for her. I absolutely love the Number of Years stamp set and coordinating Large Numbers Framelits Dies!

She wasn't too thrilled at turning 27 this year, but I think she did like her card.
