Small Fry Soccer

Small Fry’s Soccer Registration is August 14th—September 5th.  Last year we had 120 plus, ages 4—9 years old and also the Angel League.  We are looking to expand 10—11 yr olds, if numbers are there!  WE ARE

Kick Boxing/Aerobics Class:

School is starting and we will start our class back on Tuesday September 2nd at 5:15 PM.  We will need 12 to make the class.

Ti-Kwon Do Class

K-12 all ages.  Tuesday night 6 PM—7:30 PM.  Our instructor is Martin Hesse, an 8th degree black belt.  He has been with us for the last 8 years.

New Class

We are starting a Twirling Class.  Our instructor is Erica Winkler.  For more info call the C.L.C. and ask for Jack.

Senior Adult Events

Aug 26th:  Our monthly luncheon will be

starting back at 11:30 am.  The meal will be provided free.  Jordan Home Healthcare will have the program.  You will need to call the church office and sign-up.

Sep 2nd: Senior Adult Committee meeting at 10 am in the Fellowship Hall.

Small Fry Soccer season is ahead of us.  Sign-up’s will be August 14th through September 5th.  Last year we had 120+, ages 4 to 9 and also the Angel League.  Due to overwhelming requests, we are looking to add a 10-11 year old league this year, if enough players sign-up EARLY!!!  We have a new court that has been buit for us and are the only indoor soccer facility in Central Texas where everyone plays the same!  This is a Christ centered league focussed on learning skills and glorifying God through sports.

The Fitness Room

We have two new pieces of equipment in the Fitness Room!  A Life 9500 treadmeill and a Life 9500 eliptical stepper.  Come in and ty them out!  Fitness Orientation is held every Monday at 5:30 pm or call Brother Jack (254-562-5576) to set-up an alternate time.  Let’s Just Do Something!

Senior Adult Events

Our Senior Adult Appreciation Day Luncheon on July 6th went great with over 100 in attendance!  Thank you Laura for the great meal!  Thanks also to the Youth department for serving and to Jodi Commander for the awesome entertainment!  We are looking forward to a very full fall schedule.

Breaking News

Let’s go to Forth Worth to see a play the Casa Manana Theater to see “Those D___ Yankees”, August 16th at 2 pm.  The show stars Richard Kind of stage, screen and TV fame.  Sign-up in the CLC at the front desk.  Cost is $39.00 per person (including the bus ride).  Deadline is 5 pm, August 6th…NO EXTENSIONS!
