I've won lots of small payouts, which are always paid out to my PayPal account within a few days of the draw. I have to say, I'm genuinely impressed.

How it works

Once you join Search Lotto, you can either download a browser extension, change your search engine settings in your browser, or just remember to go to their website when searching the Internet.

When you've performed 25 searches, they give you a free entry into a lottery draw. You can choose in your settings whether this will be a UK National Lottery Lotto syndicate (shared between 20 people), or a EuroMillions entry (shared between 25 people).

Personally I choose the EuroMillions for all by tickets, but that is entirely up to you!

You can actually see the numbers on your ticket before the draw if you like (reassuring to show it's all above board).

If you've entered your bank or PayPal details into your account, they will pay directly into it shortly after they are paid. There are no charges, minimum payout or alike, so you can enjoy a small trickle of money for your search efforts, and know that you're in a lottery, so have the chance to win big (EuroMillions is regularly paying over £100M. Even shared between 25 people, that's a nice payout for something you do anyway!)

Sign up today at: https://www.searchlotto.co.uk/index.php?rid=39768

How I'm protecting my investments from a stock market crash

Whilst I don't believe market forecasters have a crystal ball, it's clear that over the last two years Coronavirus, radical political leaders, and now a potential energy crisis have unsettled businesses and market investors alike.

As markets dropped in the early part of the pandemic, I bought into some generalised funds, as the recovery seems relatively predictable. As we move back towards normality however, things are less predictable, and questions remain about the stability of markets, and whether stocks are now over-priced. So where do we go from here?

Remind yourself of your goals

Whilst "profit" is an obvious goal for investors, the timeline for this profit is more unique to the investor. Those getting close to retirement will likely have a different appetite for risk than those in their 20's.

It's important to work out your own appetite for risk. For me, my appetite for risk has grown has I've become more confident in my approach. My goal is however set on the long-term, and this is important as it means I'm not worried by short term negative impacts, as I saw the Covid pandemic to be.

Move investments to lower your portfolio risk

Once you've established your goals and your appetite for risk, it's time to re-evaluate your portfolio. High risk options can be sold and replaced with long-term reliable companies that deliver in a more stable manner. This reduces your potential for gains but also losses.

I lean towards organisations that are well established in their industry, and who provide services that people can't really live without, such as utility companies, household products and food/drink. You can probably think of plenty of other companies whose market is unlikely to suddenly stop buying.

Whilst there is no certainly of a profit, or lack of loss, in any investment, a reduction in your risk profile is something only you can decide on. For me, there is clearly a change coming, the question is how far away it is, and how much risk (in the hope of higher rewards) to run with in the meanwhile.

Fast paying faucets: Dogecoin, Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dash...

I'm getting back into faucets at the moment, so thought I'd list my favourite bunch that work as a group, and can payout every 5 minutes or so...

Many of these use CoinPot, which supports multiply cryptocurrency faucets, and offers payout to your wallet at low levels (e.g. 100 dogecoins at the time of writing).

I open all these faucets in separate tabs of one window, to monitor and claim through the day. Once claimed, the money appears in CoinPot where I choose to convert all my currencies toLitecoin and Dogecoin which have low thresholds for payouts. This means I claim every couple of weeks into my wallets.

Faucets:

Don't forget to bookmark this post, so you can quickly open all these faucets!

Every 15 minutes, to your CoinPot account:

Bonus Bitcoin - Pays out 5000 Bitcoin satoshi
Leave the page open, and it will make a bell sound every 15 minutes to remind you to claim.
I recommend changing your account setting to "average" payout

Ever increasing pot, claimable every 5 minutes maximum

These faucets show you a slowly increasing value on your screen that you can claim when you like. They pay to your CoinPot account. You can claim a maximum of every 5 minutes. The rate of increase slows with time, so claim every 5 minutes for maximum profit.

Moon Bitcoin - Pays out an every increasing amount of Bitcoin satoshi

Moon Cash - Pays out an every increasing amount of Bitcoin Cash

Moon Litecoin - Pays out an every increasing amount of Litecoin

Moon Dash - Pays out an every increasing amount of Dash

Moon Dogecoin - Pays out an every increasing amount of Dogecoin

I've previously highlighted that Cointiply is currently my favorite site for earning Bitcoins now.

Here's my tips for making the most of your time on Cointiply:

Use the faucet regularly... this basic feature is easily forgotten, but gives you a chance to earn some addition coins every hour in exchange for very little effort.

Run videos in the background. Yes some spot "inactive windows", but just open them in a new window and you can earn whilst surfing in other windows yourself. This is the best source of coins I find. I tend to double click on some text in the window occaionally to stop it thinking the window is inactive.

Don't forget to run multiple videos in-parallel. So long as they come from different providers, you should be able to run multiple videos in-parallel to maximise earnings.

Use your referral link. Whilst I continue to find referral links a weak method of earning... if you're talking or writing about Cointiply, why wouldn't you look to earn credit for that?

Avoid the Multiplier completely ... they've changed this game recently, and all experiments I've done (burning several thousand coins in the process) have proven that the game is more heavily rigged than the odds suggest.

Avoid Cointiply games completely, fun as they are, they're slow earners, so use your time more wisely.

Well I didn't think I'd be back here talking about faucets!

For those who don't know, a Bitcoin faucet is a site that gives away free Bitcoins (or fractions there of!). The catch is usually lots of adverts, and a time limit on how often you can "claim".

So why am I writing about faucets again?

Well I'm out of work at the moment, and have been clicking around, and rejecting a lot of naff sites... but then I came across Cointiply, and liked it.

What Cointiply offers

You need to register (I don't normally go in for that, but the reviews show a long paying out site)

It pays all games/features out as "Coins" in your site wallet. 1 coin is one USD cent such that the amount of Bitcoin (BTC) you'll get on payout will be based on the exchange rate at the time. This protects you from falls in the value of Bitcoin until you're ready to cashout.

Cashout is from $3.50. I've got to $1 within an afternoon of clicking in the background.

There's a few ways to "earn"

Simple faucet, time limited to every 60 minutes. Although it claims the "roll of a dice" can give higher, I've won $0.40 of "Coins" each time.

Videos to watch, worth 5 cents each generally it seems

Multiplier - basically a simply luck game to increase your funds. Now I never trust these, even when (like Cointiply) they provide the odds. I've been very successful on this up to 5000 coins in my account (winning more than half of games, which obviously is too good to be true!)... after this, I'm convinced the odds got worse. I'm continuing to experiment, to see if there is something other than luck going on here!

Website clicks to follow, or "autosurf". I've mainly used the autosurf, as it seemed the fastest way to earn as background activity

Scam or Legit site?

Reading on forums, it looks like people are getting active payouts. To be honest, I've not reached the minimum value for a payout yet. But given the reviews online, and the fact I'm a third of the way there in one afternoon... I felt I had to share.

Will try to remember to update this if I request a payout, to let others know.

For now, if you'd like a small bit of Bitcoin, I'd recommend signing up and having a play... no harm if you just play with the free money you earn.

My drive to leave the boring world of work, and earn a living online, hasn't changed. That said, I've got the bruises from the last 10+ years of trying different tactics, and have probably become a lot more boring, but successful as a result.

As I mentioned in my last post, the shutdown of Liberty Reserve was a turning point in my thinking. I'm now super suspicious of online currencies. eGold and Liberty Reserve shutdowns showed that the US government was either determined to kill off non-traditional payment systems, or that they were trying to steer people towards ones they had more visibility of.

Either way, the question remains around other online payment services, as to whether or not their days are numbered, and whether holders of legitimate funds in these services would lose access at any time. For the record, I've not been able to recover my eGold or Liberty Reserve funds, and not heard of others achieving this either.

So where does that leave me today? Well I earn well in a traditional (IT based) career, and live a very frugal life from it. I've spent 20 years saving heavily, and now invest my money in Stocks and Shares under a UK tax free wrapper (ISA). I imagine other countries have similar schemes, setup to encourage people to save money over the long term. Stocks and Shares aren't going to make me a mint overnight, but I research good funds, and seem to have done alright for myself with 7%+ growth annually to-date. It's nothing like my HYIP days, but I don't have to worry about losing all my money. I get my thrills from some higher risk investment areas, such as Japan and China. I use funds rather than stocks, to spread the risk of any one company going under, and I'm not expecting the government to ban shares overnight anytime soon, so should expect something to remain of these investments regardless!

Beyond this more traditional investment approach, I continue to play with small sources of income online:

ShopandScan - This is a market research scheme that gets people to scan what they buy. They pay in points that can be redeemed for vouchers. I choose mine as Amazon vouchers. Unfortunately this is an invite only programme.

Google Screenwise - Another market research schemes that looks at what we use the internet for, and what we watch on TV. I have an extra box in my lounge for this and get paid monthly for the access. Again this is an invite only programme unfortunately.

Search Lotto - As I've previously posted, Search Lotto pays you to use the Yahoo Search engine. It shares the advertising revenue basically. They pay in the form of Lottery tickets, either UK National Lottery or EuroMillions. I've still not won a lot yet, but I do win occasionally, and before I know it, I've been paid out directly to my bank account. This is a simple one to do that doesn't cost any extra time to take part in. Here's hoping for a big win one of these days!

YouTube - My main YouTube channel now has on 1.5 million views. Just like this blog, I talk to subjects I'm passionate about (my car, and nerdy computer tips mainly!). This earns me around £1000 a year currently, so some work to do to grow it!

Website Adverts - I still have a few blogs but have adverts running on them. I enjoy posting on them, and a payment of £50-60 from Google every now and then makes it an income stream.

Before I sign off, I want to share some advice with anyone desperately trying to earn money online... decide what you are passionate about, and what you stand for (your ethics). The easiest ways to reliably earn money online are based on advertising revenue. This leads many to make videos or posts in an attempt to "go viral". This has more recently led to the "Fake News" trend. People make a lot of money out of conning people, or spreading fake news/hate. Personally I accept a much lower visitor count in exchange for keeping to my ethics. I strongly advice that anyone looking for online revenue:
1. Accept it's a slow journey... work in-parallel until you reach your goals
2. Focus on being happy in life, not just having lots of money
3. Do something you're passionate about. Your audience will see through you if you try faking it

And on that note, I'll leave this post. I hope to post more regularly now, so in the meanwhile, be happy, and hopefully little lucky too!
Wow, it's been over 8 years since I setup this blog, and if I'm completely honest, I'd forgotten it existed!

Revisiting it, it looks like things have changed a lot since my last post, and hence the need to update things here.

The shutdown of Liberty Reserve meant that I lost a large proportion of the money I had earned through pay-to-click sites etc... This encouraged me to revisit my approach, and work out what to spend my time on, to ensure I was getting back to my principle of earning money with low risk, but additionally low effort.

I now keep it simple:

Search Lotto - This site basically pays you to use the Yahoo Search engine. It is branded under Search Lotto, but is Yahoo results, with the advertising revenue coming back to you. They pay in the form of Lottery tickets, either UK National Lottery or EuroMillions. I've not won a lot yet, but a few of my syndicates entries have won, and I've been paid out for these direct to my bank account. This is a simple one to do that doesn't cost any extra time to take part in.

YouTube - Over the last few years, I've created some YouTube videos on topics I'm passionate about (my car, and nerdy computer tips mainly!). This hasn't earned me a lot, but it all adds up!

Website Adverts - I maintain a few websites (ever less), that (like this one), have adverts running on them. Again, we're not talking large money, but a payment of £50-60 from Google every now and then is a nice thing!

Get paid to use Yahoo Search Engine!

Wow, well I knew one of these days that I'm come across a good money maker that I'd missed. Well this is that moment.

Rather tragically, I came across MySearchFunds.com some years back and ignored it (I forget why, but I wasn't on my quest for money making ideas back then).

Well MySearchFunds.com, which has now changed its name to Homepage Friends (a rather naff name change if you ask me), pays you to search the web. This used to be through Google, but they have recently switched over to Yahoo as their search provider. But nothing really changes.

You goto your search page (set as your homepage for ease) e.g. mine is:
http://www.myhpf.co.uk/mypage.asp?OrgID=87564
All the then have to do is use the search box to search with Yahoo. The results are no different to Yahoo's normal results, and you end up with about 2.4p (that's about $0.048) per search.

At the rate I'm going, I'll have about £250 ($500) this year from the site... that makes my quest for a few dollars here and there and lot easier!

One key point here... in my experience it seems you only get the credit for searching from your official page. So if you want to search again, go back to the homepage, don't use the box on the results page, as this doesn't appear to credit your account for the additional search!

UPDATE:
Since this post was written, this service has been replaced by Search Lotto. Search Lotto offers free UK National Lottery, or EuroMillions lottery tickets for searches that use the Yahoo engine. This means you have the chance of winning millions of pounds just by changing the default search engine you use.

It's been a long time, and as always the HYIP market has moved on substantially, players have come and gone at a faster pace than I'm sure they have in times past.

So where does this leave me?

Well actually in a good position, frankly the HYIPs themselves have been a bit of a disaster. I realised I was joining HYIPs too late in the day...when I thought they were safe, but in reality, I was joining them after the big rush, and therefore was there at the point their income levelled off, and therefore as they got bored.

My other site "investments" have been the real winner though....DonkeyMails and wjob particularly. wjob still takes forever to earn cash, but you do get there, and then there's $6 in the account to play with. DonkeyMails has been the real winner though. I took a look into my profile and realised I hadn't switched on all areas of interest, so I wasn't getting the full range of banners and links to click on. More links equals more cash ;) ... and DonkeyMails has a low payout threshold.

One thing while we're on the subject of DonkeyMails. They're an older player in the market, but they live on a stable piece of ground, you only get to earn if an advertiser has paid for you to click on links...so they're very unlikely to vanish...as a result, and they good reputation, they've got a huge member base, and this has slowed payouts down.

They still try to payout once a month, but it can slip a little...but hey, who cares? This is one of the most stable earners I've had...so I'm happy just to be getting paid!

So as for the future...I think I'm going to get a lot more involved in ptc (paid-to-click) sites. Similar sites to DonkeyMails...they're a loads of them out there....I joined YouRoMail for this...but it turns out that they have few paid links, so it's not one I'd recommend really. Actually, maybe I should start a list here of ones to join...I'll look into that!

Anyway, just go do some clicking... things are really looking up!

Update following CobexTrade

Well its not been the best start to the new year. My favourite e-Currency site, Liberty Reserve, seems to be coming under sustained DDOS attacks, making the site sometimes hard to access. But worse still, CobexTrade has gone.

CobexTrade is a reminder (not that I wanted one!) that HYIPs are not just High Yield, but also High Risk. These sites come and go, and even with a very high reputation, CobexTrade has died.

So what now? Well I still have some other funds, partly earned on the GoldAge forum, which I don't think I've mentioned here before. GoldAge is a forum dedicated to investors on HYIPs etc... and it actually pays its members for posting! Not a lot admittedly, but its nice to earn at the same time as get good advice from fellow HYIP investors.

Here's my current portfolio...small as it is again now:
BreInvest
Sochi-Invest.org
Golden Purse

CobexTrade has been an unpleasant reminder not to get too secure a feeling from HYIPs...I lost a lot of my egold there...but lessons will be learnt.

So now I'm planning to spread my money out...I'll invest (particularly in BreInest for a very short period) and then lift out half my funds into further sites, slowly spreading the risk, and my portfolio...hopefully this way we'll see some real increases in the funds.

I'm still using wjob and donkeymails to bring in fresh funds..so fingers crossed I'm still ontrack with my plan!

Up, Up and....

Well the money's in, and the balance is going up, currently at about 1.4% a day, which is great.

Although this is great, I'm bored already, as there's nothing more for me to do for now. So I'm continuing the wjob, and also taking on a new click site that has a quicker payout (eGoldClicks) to get some other bits up and running.

Currently, I'm planning on taking eGoldClicks to the $2 payout level and then investing it in Golden Purse, a programme that allows you to start from just $1. This will give me a contingency programme, and therefore allowing me to fully compound all interest from Cobex Trade.

Reading that back, it sounds a bit more complex than it is because of all the programmes, basically I'm using wjob to fund Cobex Trade, and eGoldClicks to fund Golden Purse.

Yet to reach the level on eGoldClicks as I literally signed up today, but earned $0.17 in the first day, at this rate I'll have my $2 quickly...yes that's a small amount, but once in a HYIP, it'll grow, so well worth the pain now, as its saving any risk on my wallet's part.

Invested!

ok, so I have a confession. I'm not as clever as I thought. I forgot about the e-gold fees, and hence i needed a bit more surfing. 2 days later, I have enough to cover the fee too...so I've done it...yes really.

Last night I got wjob to pay me my $10 (+a bit more) in e-gold...and it came through today to my e-gold account. I then went to CobexTrade and within 5 minutes of sending the gold, it was there in my new account!

So I'm setup there now. In theory I'm planning to leave all profits to compound for the full 180 days. This is more risky (and very unlike me!) but i have to get this gold growing....and with a safety net needed, I'm still surfing with wjob...you just never know!

Without compounding, I would have been looking at a growth to $30 by the end of the 180 days. But with the compounding I'm looking at a staggering $84-$120 in 180 days! That's enough to start spreading the risk with some other HYIPs! That would be a very very good start.

Will keep you all informed as always!

I did it...kind of!

So whatever became of me? Did it work? Well sort of...

It turns out that my memory isn't as good as I believed, I I'm just about to reach what I thought was my target....100000 credits on wjob. Yes, you heard me right 100000 credits...somewhere along the line I thought I needed 100000 credits.

So, yes, I made the target, just seems I'm heading for a new one! and it's taken quite a while, but in the next week, I should hit 100000, and then I'll cash in.

I now I had my sites set on that Geocities HYIP site, but it always seemed dodgy, and although its had a face-lift, the complete lack of an investment tracker is just concerning....and as its taken so long to get the egold, why would I want to put it somewhere quite that dodgy looking? (Although all these HYIPs are obviously risky...high yield, high risk)

So I've got a new target, 100000 credits (err, $10 to you and I) to spend here: http://cobextrade.com/index.php. It's on many HYIP sites tracked, and lots of positive forum comments, and I think has a better chance of therefore not just running off with my VERY well earned money now! So we maybe out of the Paid-to-Surf world soon, and onto the good ship HYIP...cobextrade, here I come!

It does mean waving goodbye to the cash for 6 months of course, but I think that's worth it. I believe this is a slower, more reliable payer than others...we will but see. That is, assuming my memory holds up!

So the plan now will be to put the $10 that I'll have as egold soon, into a starter package from cobextrade HYIP. After 180 days that'll be looking more like $90, or so I'm told by a compound calculator here: http://www.hyip.com/hyip/financial/1095/Cobex+Trade

Not sure what I'll do then, but logically I'll remove my investment (that huge $10!) plus a load more (say $30 more), I'll then revest the rest to start turning it into money of a more normal level! The bits I've taken out can go into other funds to spread the risk, and $20 can go in my egold account for security, the original $10, and a spare $10 in-case I lose the rest...I am the low low risk taker...remember?! ;)

Another Month

For those of you interested....I'm upto 27000 (well, just over) now....it's been a good month as I'd expected:

1 May - 12000
1 Jun - 24000
1 Jul - 36000
1 Aug - 48000
1 Sep - 60000
1 Oct - 72000 - and a happy cashout!

The extra 3000 over last months target is excellent news...and if it continues, I maybe able to cashout a month early in the end....we'll see! ;)

and on, and on

ok, I confess, this is more difficult than I thought!

What with my spending the day at work, there is very little time for me to clock up the auto-surf other than the weekends.

I've reached a staggering 12000 credits with wjob now, that's a whole $1.20! Will keep you informed!

Investing nothing to get something

If its ok with you, I might just share a new challenge I'm putting on myself.

I've got a small amount invested at http://passiveprofits.net/. Darwin, the Admin at Passive Profits, is a really decent chap, very honest and hard working. This said, the HYIP market that he uses to make his community money, is all over the place at the moment, so my $55 isn't growing much! But that's no problem, this is "fun money", I'm investing for enjoyment here, not need.

So the latest challenge....as the title may suggest, I'm going to make something (equal to my input into Passive Profits...so $55) out of nothing...zip....zero...$0.

Well, it's all for fun, so I'm once again going to be putting my money into the HYIP world...and frankly may well never see it again...but hey! This is for fun!

Oh, that little bit about starting with zero....that's right....I'm going to make my money from these silly sites that give you free money for surveys, registrations etc... We're talking pennies (or cents to those of you in the US!) for lots of clicking....I certainly wouldn't try to make a living off this, but it suites the challenge well!

So, the targets? OK, I've found a simple HYIP that takes a minimum of $5...essentially £2.50....nice and cheap! and for those of you not convinced HYIPs are risky...this ones on a Geocities site!

End investment target: http://www.geocities.com/egoldpro/index.htm

The free money....well as the above wants e-gold, as frankly do most HYIPs...I've chosen a site that will payout $1 or more to e-gold accounts!

The free money target: http://uniqwork.com

So what do you think? I'm probably mad, as I don't believe its possible myself really....but uniqwork should work (pardon the pun!). It's a question as to whether the Geocities HYIP will work. Well, it's free money, so I'm not worrying...it's all for fun.

I'll keep you updated...I'm going to log onto Uniqwork now and get clicking etc.. to earn my $5!!

jb

My first blog!

Wow, here it is...my first blog. Yes, I know everyone seems to have one these days, but for a techie, I'm quite a way behind on this one.

I've kept a e-diary for a couple of years now, and the more tangible diary in years gone by, but I've never shared, but finally I've realised it's about time to share with the world the inner workings of my mind...we will see!

So, a bit about me! I'm a male in my mid-20's. I was born in the UK and have spent almost every moment of my life in this country (I've never been one for holidaying!). I work for a large corporate, though I don't feel like too small a part of the place.

My passions would have to be Music, IT & Cycling. I don't consider myself to be an exciting person, and by this description of me, you probably think the same!

Things you'll probably hear quite a bit about in this blog are:

My money saving techniques...no, I don't re-use teabags, or anything that extreme, but I invest money wisely, and I'll probably share a few opportunities with you for those low-risk 'investors' like myself.

My "love-life". I've found myself attracted to a few number of people in my lifetime, and yet, those I connect with, I make a huge and instant connection with...I'm always interested in learning more about why I'm so fussy and yet so quick to identify those I will develop feelings for.

I'll leave it at that for now. Hopefully this will provide a bit of background info for those reading later posts of mine.

and so the blog begins....
