What is dam hard to witness as a parent...in your child's life is the sickening disappointment of being letdown.again..especially hard >>when it is from the "disneyland-parent"...whom makes grandiose promises but rarely keeps them.. for one reason or another that is hard to watch and even harder to help a teenage daughter get through that type lie by a mother that just says something and never follows through at all .. I just hate to break my word .. and when one parent whom doesn't raise the child.. does that constantly .. it amazes me why.. the child actually still believes that this parent will follow up with thier promise!!!!!...

Attempting to explain that this just the way this parent is doens't really help much and it is more difficult to do when you are the Everyday-Parent.. this can end up with you...being the brunt of the let-down or Not be able to do nothing to appease the hurt kid....So the morale if you say it then do it .....when you are parent especially a disneyland type

Who first loves and nurtures us and takes care of every need,as she accepts into her life someone new to bathe and feed?
Who brags about accomplishments; first teeth...first sounds...first smileand makes every little thing that's done seem important and worthwhile?
Who�??s been known to, after dark enter a room and slowly creepto bend and kiss the forehead of a child fast asleep?
Who holds a hand while crossing as she thoughtfully conveysa reminder to her child that he should always "look both ways?"
Who wipes peanut butter off a cheek and crayon off the walland knots an untied shoelace to avoid a likely fall?
Who watches the swift passing of childhood years that she will mourn,and remembers every small detail about the day that child was born?
Who works the longest hours without a vacation...or a check,but accepts her payment in the form of a hug around her neck?
Who never stops believing even when others are in doubtand defends the fact her child was "safe" when the umpire calls him out!?
Who senses things just aren�??t right and with the palm of her hand decreesby placing it on her child�??s brow... the fever�??s 101 degrees?
Who shares life�??s disappointments and feels the pain of all the bruisesand delights in her child�??s winnings, but offers solace when he loses?
Who realizes as the years pass by... the further her child will roamand who stays up late with worry when that child isn�??t home?
Who tries to shield and protect by showing courage...staying strong;trying to set a good example while her heart is breaking all along?
Who acts as a private tutor as the years fall in successionby taking each opportunity to teach life�??s every lesson?
Who listens with her heart even when her child is grownand understands the feelings that she once herself, had known?
Who saved old cards and letters and kept pictures on the shelvesand offered unconditional love so we could learn to love, ourselves?
This poem describes one person; a woman unlike any other,for who could possess that level of love...Who Else, But A Mother?

10 steps daily to relax...

Try this and Free your Mind..

using the breathing technique to direct the relaxation

using the mirror to tell you when to do it right

repetition that you can do daily at home.

the advantage of you being in charge yourself.

10 Steps:

One. Breathe in 4. Concentrate on counting 4 on inhalation. This makes the breathing regular.

Two Breathe out 6. Make exhalation longer than inhalation. Use the act of relaxing the diaphragm as you exhale to signal other muscles to relax. As you exhale, you chest, shoulders, rib muscles relax.

Three Breathe in count of 4 and out count of 6, as you exhale let this be a signal to relax. The actual time is not important as long as exhalation is longer than inhalation and you relax as you exhale. Feel an energy enter your body as you inhale.. Feel the tinnitus and tension leave your body as you exhale.

Four: See the Face Relax. Look at your face in the mirror. Tighten your muscles. Now relax them. As you exhale let this be a signal to relax the facial muscles. After a while you won't need the mirror.

Five See the jaw relax in the mirror. Don't open the jaw. Let it fall open as you relax, like when your dad fell asleep on the couch. For TMJ problems, you draw a straight vertical line on the mirror and line up your face to the midline to make sure your jaw opens in the midline and not to the side. For TMJ patients, once the jaw opens midline, the muscles are then balanced to relieve the condition.

Six: See/feel the shoulders relax as you exhale. Think good energy, good air going into the chest and old used up air leaving the chest

Seven: Recall a place where you felt relaxed, the beach, at the club, etc. Picture a rose or look at a picture of an object to remind you of this place. Be as relaxed as you were at this beach. Still breathe in 4 and out 6.

Eight: Relax from toes on up. Toes, legs, tummy, chest, neck, eyes, forehead. Maintain the in 4 out 6 breathing count..

Nine: Raise a finger. Do 3 breaths. At the third breath, drop your raised finger and when it touches, let that be a signal to relax.You may repeat this for a minute.

Ten: Imagine going to a healing place. An island or a place famous for healing. So many people you know have been healed here. Imagine the trip. Do you go by boat or plane? Or even by magic carpet ! The water, food, music, air, scents, flowers, all help heal you. Imagine a guide to take you around. Make an image in your mind that here the tinnitus is reduced. You can image a golden light healing you, or the special bubbling spring that you bathe in. Be sure to use all senses. Image the flowers surrounding a clear crystal stream of delicious mountain water that is famous for healing. Imagine the guide explaining that there is a special mixture of elements in the water that act as a vitamin, etc. Again use all 5 senses, taste, feeling, smell, sight, hearing. See the flowers, smell them, touch them, hear the breeze blowing on them - imagine a musical note, even try tasting them.

I am the Renaissance navigators who came in search of gold and empire, and who discovered a deeper, more difficult wealth. I am the priests and peasants uprooted from the old world and replanted in the new as a pledge and a hope.

I am the strip farmers, the trappers, the traders who pushed back the curtain on this green and untried continent. I am the men who roamed and mapped and settled, the men who left their sons to the future, and the men who left only their graves.

Health Canada has issued warnings

Health Canada has issued warnings about two separate products, saying they could be contaminated with E. coli and salmonella bacteria respectively.

LifeTime Complexed Potassium 99mg tablets may have been contaminated with salmonella bacteria based on a preliminary analysis conducted by an independent laboratory, the federal agency said, adding it's conducting further analysis to confirm the presence of salmonella.

Salmonella are bacteria that cause intestinal illness and pose serious health risks. Symptoms of salmonella infection include diarrhea, fever and abdominal cramps. The symptoms can appear 12 to 72 hours after exposure and the illness usually lasts four to seven days.

Health Canada is also warning consumers not to use the health product Miracle Bion as it could be contaminated with bacteria such as E. coli.

There are two varieties of Miracle Bion - Alpha and Omega. Neither are approved by Health Canada.

The Omega version can be used for intravenous use which could result in serious infection and is therefore a serious and potentially life-threatening health risk, Health Canada says. The Omega version is also advertised for external use on skin and for oral use in children. The Alpha version is manufactured as a black liquid and in capsule form and is for oral use only. Both versions present a health risk and should not be used, the federal agency said.

Common symptoms of E. coli include fever, vomiting and diarrhea. Consumers who may have used Miracle Bion and are concerned about their health should contact a health-care professional.

LifeTime Complexed Potassium 99mg tablets are imported by LifeTime Nutrition Canada.The company has stopped selling the tablets and has recalled them. Sales appear to have been centred in British Columbia, in Chase, near Kamloops, and in North Vancouver.

The lot number of the product that may be contaminated with salmonella is 0510078.

Consumers who have used LifeTime Complexed Potassium 99mg tablets, lot number 0510078, should discontinue use and contact their health-care practitioners if they have concerns about their health. Consumers who have purchased the product should contact the Health Products and Food Branch Inspectorate at 1-800-267-9675.

Miracle Bion, distributed in Canada by Clinique naturopathique de la Cite, contains humic and fulvic acids, which come from humus. Humus is made up of decomposed plant and animal residues, is found in soil, and could be contaminated with many types of bacteria such as E. coli.

Miracle Bion is promoted as an immune system booster and as a treatment for serious diseases, such as cancer, asthma, dementia, influenza, tuberculosis, epilepsy and arthritis.

Health Canada says the distributor of Miracle Bion has refused to comply with Health Canada requests to recall and stop selling the products.

The next Census of Canada will take place on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 ..On that day, more than 32.5 million people in Canada will "count themselves in" when they complete and return their 2006 Census questionnaire either online or by mail.

The delivery of census forms begins May 2. If you do not receive your form by May 16, call the Census Help Line at 1 877 594-2006.

An important change in 2006 is the opportunity to complete your census questionnaire online. Starting May 2, you can use this fast, easy and secure option by visiting www.census2006.ca. or click the title of this post..above^^^

Of course, you can always complete the paper questionnaire and return it by mail.But I think online sounds alot kooler and easier...But who I am to say filling out a form then putting it into the envelope then getting to the post office and mailing is not fun either >??!@!?

Podcasting gets its name from the iPod, a portable media player manufactured by Apple.
The word "podcast" is no longer specifically associated to the iPod users anymore Podcasts now refers to any combination of software and hardware that allows its users to download audio or listen online instantly and if they choose too.. store recorded digital audio files distributed through an RSS feed by downloading

The distint power associated to podcasting comes from the fact that the listener is in control ..of all audio broadcasts distributed in a podcast format,..because the podcasts are accessed when,where the user wants. This also transforms the broadcasting of public airwaves from one where content was pushed to you by radio and TV at specified times, to a world where you are the puller who can decide what to listen to whenever you choose.
That is Podcasting in a nutshell...and it is more likely to be listen to in a mobile or in home office environment etc.. jdsonic
