Stampin’ Up! Retirement List Cards

If you haven't checked out Stampin' Up!'s retirement list yet, just click on the image on my side bar to print it out. There are more stamps than usual retiring this year because of the change to the catalog schedule and size of all catalogs. So if you have a favorite that you have not ordered yet and it is on the retirement list, be sure to order it by May 31st! Also remember that Stampin' Up!'s 2012 Occasions Mini catalog expires on April 30th so please order any favorites that you want before that date.

Below are some cards I have done in my past classes, using stamps that will be leaving the current Stampin' Up! catalogs:

One of my all time favorite greeting stamps, Sincere Salutations. I purchased this stamp, the first year I became a demonstrator and it is still one of my go to stamps for classes. The greeetings are the same size, so customers can swap out the greeting on any card on which I use this stamp set.

Under The Stars, is my go to stamp for camping scrapbook pages and Bar-B-Q invitations. I love the mosquito from that set which I used on the frog card below:

In Color Mini Album for Mom

Now you get to see my last Creative Crew project, CCREW0412SF – Scrapbook Inspiration Focus. Make a mini scrapbook album using the 2010-2012 In Colors and pattern packs. What a nice way to say good-bye to these colors! I saw an album at a recent fundraiser that intrigued me. The album was different than any other I have seen. I decided to try making one for this challenge. The binding is called "stack the deck". Laura Dennison has a video on how the binding is made. I googled her name and "stack the deck binding" to find the directions.

Happy Father’s Day On The Green for CCREW0412HF

CCREW0412HF – Holiday Focus – remember Mom and Dad. We could make a card, a scrapbook page or decor item that honors Mom or Dad or both, continuing to use the 2010-2012 In Colors as our main colors. Since all my other Creative Crew projects this month have incorporated flowers, I decided to make this quick and easy Father's Day card.

Ink: Concord Crush stamp pad, Garden Green Stamp Pad, Peach Parfait Marker,

Accessories: Extra Large Oval Punch, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, sponges

CCREW0412CF – Catalog Focus – for April we were to use our Simply Scrapping kits or Quick Accent kits and at least 2 of the 2010-2012 In Colors on our project. I chose to make a stationery holder with matching cards and envelopes. This is a quick and easy challenge to do, so why don't you join the challlenge and upload your creation? We would love to see what you come up with using the Simply Scrappin' kits and/or Quick Accents kits.

DIRECTIONS: The folder is made from one sheet of card stock that is scored at 5 1/2" on the long side and at 2 1/2" on the short side. On the inside picture, you will see I cut a V on the 2 1/2" section so that the folder will not bind when closed. Punch holes with the Crop-a-dile and thread your ribbon through to tie it all together!

Button Buddies and Stampin’ Up!’s 2010-2012 In Colors

Well it is the beginning of another month of Creative Crew Challenges on Splitcoaststampers. Our first challenge -CCREW0412DF — Color Focus – was to create a card using a sketch and the 2010-2012 In Colors. In fact, all our challenges this month incorporated the 2010-2012 In Colors that will be leaving the Stampin' Up! family as of May 31st. Don't worry – be happy as Stampin' Up! will introducing 5 new 2012-2014 In Colors to take their place in their new catalog on June 1, 2012!! Be sure to check out all the projects created by the Creative Crew and be sure to leave a little love while you're there.

What Can You Do With Stampin’ Up!’s Label Collection?

Today's post showcases projects made at my pre-buy class this month with the Labels Collection framelits and Apothecary Art stamp set. The class was free when my customers signed up and paid for the pre buy incentive.

We started with a frame cut out and the stamped image on the inside of the card:

TIP: close the card and insert the stamped piece in the cut out space. Then open the card and press the image down to make sure it is adhered.

Second card and be used as a place card or gift card and can be made any size:

TIP: Place folded card stock on clear pad, place framelit a little above the fold so the card will be attached at the top. Also shave a little flat area on the bottom so the card will stand on its own.

Next project was a darling purse made with the largest framelit:

TIP: Cut your framelit first then emboss with your favorite Textured Impressions embossing folder.

Last was a half-cut Z card:

TIP: Place framelit centered on fold,turn handle slowly and run framelit half way through the Big Shot and then back it back out. If it is not to the half way mark repeat going a little further. If it is a little too much it will not matter as it will be covered by card stock.

Fundraiser Giveaways Using Stampin’ Up!’s Top Note Die

Cards for All Occasions from Stampin’ Up’s 2012 Occasions Mini

March is going by fast, I knew it would be a busy month and I am trying to play catch up with my blog posts. Below are some of the cards from this month's card buffet. All cards used stamp sets from Stampin' Up!'s 2012 Occasions Mini catalog. The first card uses Outlined Occasions from the Sale-a-bration catalog and Beautiful Wings embosslit from Stampin' Up!. I, also, used the embedded embossing technique.

Next is an Easter card I created with the Hostess set Up in the Air:

And I love the Bordering on Romance stamp set, as it is a great set all by itself, and because it coordinates with the Adorning Accents Edgelits and Adorning Accents Textured Embossing Folders as well. The watercolor marker technique was used to color this card.

Heaven Blessed by Stampin’ Up!

I just love Stampin' Up!'s Heaven Blessed stamp set from the 2012 Occasions Mini. You can do so much with this stamp set. On the card below I challenged myself to use ALL the stamps in this set on one card. I decided to use a fancy fold called a quarterfold for the card. It worked perfectly! I created this card for one of the projects for my stamp clubs last month. They love it. The front of the card looks liked a folded cardboard box top.

Loads of Love On Your Birthday!

This is a card I made for my grandson, Michael, for his birthday last month. I made it using his favorite color green and since he likes trucks, I used the Loads of Love stamp set. Because his birthday is in February, I loaded the truck with hearts!

The pull out tag was cut with Stampin' Up!'s Two Tag die and the Big Shot:

Below the inside of the tag which held his gift — what every teaenager wants — money!
