Is FitTea a Scam?

2015-12-30T16:34:00.000-08:00

Here is a Random Heading Since I Don't Know What to Title this Section

You probably have heard of FitTea before- lots of popular accounts on Instagram end up promoting this product in one way or another, in the form of shoutouts.

Let's get one thing straight: their claim to detox is complete and utter bull, and has no scientific basis behind it. In fact, you don't even need to detox, as your body already has organs dedicated to detoxing your body (aka your kidneys). The best analogy I can think of is attempting to wash your car when it's already being washed 24/7.

According to WebMD, toxins don't buildup in your body. The only time you truly need to "detox" is when you have failing kidneys or something of that sort (and no, this will not be solved by tea!). The company's claims further falls apart when you try to further find out what chemicals does the product detoxes from your body. Nowhere on their website do they mention specifically what chemicals are removed when you drink their tea.

In short, don't buy their product only for the detox.

What about the other claims?

Detoxing is not the only claim they have on their website, FitTea.com.

They also claim to:

Promote fat burning!
Promote loss of weight! (Redundant?)
Boost Immune System!
Found to have antimicrobial properties!
Promote and soothes digestion!
GMO Free!
Gluten free!

Although (green) tea might help a little with weight loss, green tea is more known for being a healthier alternative to coffee and some studies have shown that they may help against cancer, heart disease, and even depression. If you are looking to lose weight, don't think that you simply have to drink FitTea and you'd magically lose a couple of pounds. The best way to lose weight and keep your weight lower is to form healthy eating habits and exercise (yes, effort is needed!).

Regarding being GMO free and gluten free, those are mostly just marketing tactics. Most of the population will live eating gluten, and science says GMOs are safe (see here and here).

Is FitTea still worth buying?

Great question! According to Amazon reviews, the tea tastes amazing. Don't expect it to have some added benefit over any other teas though.

If you do get FitTea with high expectations of the product, be aware of the placebo effect and what it is. Don't simply swear by the product just because you suddenly felt better and gained a thinner body*.

Why only listen to me though? Give their website a visit and decide for yourself if you want to try out FitTea or not. It's always better to start off your day with tea instead of coffee anyways!

Pretty sure this is Victoria Justice promoting FitTea. Right? Right?!

Wish to research FitTea yourself? Here is your best place to start.

*If you are drinking FitTea, eating right, and exercising, then expect to lose weight. Mostly because of the latter two.

Hi. If you are Jeff or any of the other bloggers that blog on this website, I have something to say.
I had never been on blogger because I had a blog that was a fail. I recently fixed it up, and thats why my username has changed to Legacy Simmer Forever. I didn't blog here because I was afraid I'd make it a fail. I now feel really bad now, especially because I've been missing out. All you fellow bloggers hold a dear place in my heart because when we were still on word press we went through many things together. I am a bad person for letting you down 1 or 2 YEARS ago, and this will be my first, last, and only post. You all hold a dear place in my heart, but please, if you haven't forgot about me yet, please forget about me now.

Most FileIce 'Downloaders' Are Scams

2013-05-18T14:25:00.002-07:00

Imagine: You are looking for a File Ice file downloader on YouTube for some reason; legal or not. You find one. But wait! You have to do a survey!

Why would you ever do a survey for a downloader that was meant to bypass a survey?

Every sort of hack I've seen on YouTube does not work(you have probably looked for one before if you play an MMORPG). None of them.

A working FileIce downloader will probably never exist.

Heed that into mind if you are spending hours trying to find a download.

You can also read this other article by me that explains one of the FileIce downloader scams.

~Jeff

EDIT: If you truly want to be able to download from FileIce for free without a survey, then you can earn money on other sites then use the money you earn for buying credits to download the file you want to download (or use it for buying whatever you want from any website). Below I've listed a couple of websites I personally use to earn money, along with a brief description. Don't expect to make hundreds of dollars quickly. These are not fake "get rich quick" schemes. You can Google the legitimacy of each of the services listed below.

BoostInsider - This site allows you get paid for telling friends about services or apps. App download payouts can range from a couple of dollars to $5/download. If you happen to have lots of helpful friends or a very active follower presence on social media then this can actually earn you a lot of money in a short amount of time. Payout is only via Paypal as of this posting, and can take 7-10 business days. Sign up here: http://bst.is/eTy4W8
InstaGC - Watch videos, search the web, take surveys, and complete offers to earn points that you can redeem for a check, gift card, Paypal, or direct transfer into your bank account. Gift card and Paypal redemption are instant. Start off with 10 points. Sign up here: http://www.instagc.com/
FusionCash - Start off with $5 bonus. Basically the same as InstaGC, except there's no instant cash out, no direct transfer, and no check. Sign up here: http://fca.sh/1rfx8

I've..Made..My Decision..

2013-02-23T20:42:00.001-08:00

I've decided what blogging platform I will be using..

But first.. I would like to say that I will be continuing to post on this blog either forever or for a limited time..regardless of which decision I choose.

The contestants were Weebly, Wix, Blogger, and WordPress.

It was really a dead solid with Blogger and WordPress...Weebly isn't all that good, and although Wix allows one of the most customizable blog out there, it just isn't right for me.

Now the moment of truth...
Keep on going for my answer ! :D

I. Hate. You.

(Okay..maybe not 'hate'..just surprised)

I had these 2 videos on YouTube..one was of me cussing on Fantage and not getting banned, and the other was a tutorial on how to do that.

Both of those videos were reported by Fantage.com, Inc. for copyright infringement, and now both of those videos are taken down.

Just came from checking my email..
And "wow" to the load of drama that came pouring out like poisoned rainbow sprinkles.

If it was some random person that posted Pink's post about the cancer thing, I would assume it is fake and they are just making it up to get likes. And Mersay threw her blog into private mode because of a copier, and I'm too lazy right now to ask for access.

So..later on this blog..there, hopefully, would be some Girl Scout cookies drama.. Lol..You shall understand everything when I post about it.. ;)

But Imaanzg, slushi, and peace might be able to figure it out.. Hmm..maybe it was different people..I don't know anymore.. :\

McAfee Total Protection 2013 Review (Just the Main Stuff)

2013-02-16T15:07:00.001-08:00

McAfee Total Protection 2013 is an total protection (as the name implies) security suite. It includes abilities to mark devices connected to your home network as intruders, to cleaning your computer of junk files and malware.

McAfee has a 2-way firewall, much like Comodo's free firewall.

As with any other paid security suites, McAfee has Real Time Scanning. On my computers however, McAfee had some trouble starting the Real-Time Scanning, and the next time at boot, The RT Scanning actually worked.

I don't use the parental controls, nor the data backup and protection, so I can't judge on that.

The user interface is surely improved from the 2012 version, but this interface still lacks creativity.

I'm feeling lazy right now.. lol x) So this is where the incredibly short review ends..

PCWorld says that McAfee is an average security suite, and I have to agree. If you can't afford better security suites, such as Norton, I suggest this product. Rating this 4/5 stars.

Buy McAfee Total Protection 2013:

Norton 360 Premium 2013:

x) Another Hoax on Facebook

2013-02-16T13:14:00.003-08:00

So as you can read before in previous posts where I criticize how unreasonable some chain messages are, here is yet another one. I don't have much to say of this one though, but there is still something, nevertheless.

It reads:
-------------------------------------------------

R.I.P.- They hurt her.

After lunch, her teacher announced that the school was holding a fire drill. When the alarm sounded, Carmen and the other students filed out of the classroom and assembled in the yard outside. As the teachers read ou...t the roll call, the gang of five girls decided that this was a great opportunity to embarrass Carmen in front of the whole school during the fire drill. They . ..moved over to where Carmen was standing, near a sewer drain, and began crowding the poor girl, getting in her face and nudging her towards the open manhole.

They pushed her and she tripped over and fell head-first down the manhole. When they saw her falling, the girls started giggling and when Carmen’s name was called out, they shouted "She’s down in the sewer!"

All of the other students began laughing. But when the teachers looked down the manhole and saw Carmen’s body lying at the bottom in the muck and the poop, the laughter abruptly stopped. Her head was twisted around at an odd angle and her face was covered in blood. Worse still, she wasn’t moving. There was nothing any of the teachers could do for her. Carmen was dead. When the police arrived and went down into the sewer, they determined that she had broken her neck. Her face had been torn off when she hit the ladder on the way down and her neck snapped when she landed on her head on the concrete at the bottom.

The police hauled Carmen’s body out of the sewer and sent her to the mortuary. Everyone had to stay behind after school while the police questioned all of Carmen’s classmates. The five girls lied to the police, saying they had witnessed Carmen falling down the sewer. The police believed the girls and Carmen Winstead’s death was ruled an accident and the case was closed. Everyone thought that was the last they would hear of Carmen Winstead, but they were wrong.

Months later,Carmen’s classmates began receiving strange e-mails on their MySpaces. The e-mails were titled "They Pushed Her" and claimed that Carmen hadn’t really fallen down the sewer, she had been pushed. The e-mails also warned that the guilty people should own up and take responsibility for their crime. If they didn’t there would be horrible consequences. Most people dismissed the e-mails as a hoax, but others were not so sure.

A few days later, one of the girls who pushed Carmen down the sewer was at home taking a shower, when she heard a strange cackling laugh. It seemed to be coming from the drain. The girl started to freak out and ran out of the bathroom. That night, the girl said goodnight to her mom and went to sleep. Five hours later, her mom was awoken in the middle of the night, by a loud noise that resounded throughout the house. She ran into her daughter’s room, only to find it empty. There was no trace of the girl. The worried mother called the police and when they arrived, they conducted a search of the area. Eventually, they discovered the girl’s grisly remains. Her corpse was lying in the sewer, covered in muck and poop. Her neck was broken and her face missing. It had been completely torn off. One by one, all of the girls who pushed Carmen that day were found dead. They had all been killed in exactly the same way and were all found at exactly the same spot. In the sewer at the bottom of the same uncovered manhole where Carmen had met her doom. But the killing didn’t stop there. More and more of Carmen’s former classmates were found dead. It seemed that anyone who didn’t believe that Carmen had been pushed, was eventually found down in the sewer with their necks broken and their faces torn off. They say that Carmen’s ghost is still on the rampage, hunting down anyone who doesn’t believe her story. According to the legend, Carmen will get you, whetherit’s from a toilet, a shower, a sink or a drain. When you go to sleep, you’ll wake up in the sewer, in complete darkness, paralyzed, unable to move, hearing cackling laughter all around you. Then, as you scream in horror, Carmen will come and tear your face off.

So be careful who you bully, because you just might find yourself on the receiving end of the curse of Carmen Winstead.

FACT: About two months later,16-year-old David Gregory read this post and didn't repost it. When he went to take a shower, he heard laughter, started freaking out, and ran to his computer to repost it. He said goodnight to his mom and went to sleep, but five hours later, his mom woke up in the middle of the night from a loud noise and David was gone. A few hours later, the police found him in the sewer, with a broken neck and the skin on his face peeled off.

Even Google her name - you'll find this to be true.

If you don't repost this saying "They hurt her," then Carmen will get you, either from a Carmen Winstead it's actually true

Shit Scared . Dont ignore :O
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Before you go screaming in terror and getting ready to repost the above, finish reading this post.
Thank you. c:

This one was shared by Britney (Owner of My Random Guide) via Facebook. I am not criticizing her(mainly cause she is a friend), but just what the post says.

Let's go paragraph by paragraph..

R.I.P.- They hurt her.

I really have nothing to say here..

HOW DOES GETTING INTO SOMEONE'S FACE AND NUDGING THEM TOWARD SOME HOLE HELPS EMBARRASS SOMEONE? AND WHAT SCHOOL IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD LEAVE KIDS NEAR AN OPEN MANHOLE..

They pushed her and she tripped over and fell head-first down the manhole. When they saw her falling, the girls started giggling and when Carmen’s name was called out, they shouted "She’s down in the sewer!"

What kind of person would start giggling when someone falls head first down a manhole? Unless Carmen injected laughing gas at the girls right before she fell down the sewers, these people are TOO heartless.. And I'm pretty sure there would be someone seeing all of this..and probably stepping in to help.

I don't get how nobody saw all this happen. Its like they are at a school for the blind.. And the teacher seems pretty brainless too.. I'm pretty sure if anyone that was in a sewer covered in muck, pushed down, had a twisted neck, and face cover in blood would not be moving. Its pretty much expected. BUT WAIT... Her body was lying at the bottom in the muck and poop. MEANING, it was not possible for her neck to snap from landing on the concrete, because it never was on the concrete in the first place. And the teacher saw her head, which takes away the possibility that head went through the muck and hit the concrete.

So..the police believed the words from girls at a school. (._.) One of the stupidest thing I've ever heard..
They might as well be trusting some random guy off the street who looks like and smell like an innocent homeless man that recently robbed a bank but claims to not robbing a bank, even though everyone was there to see it.

I can't believe there were no witnesses. SERIOUSLY PEOPLE. I'M SURE THIS ISN'T A SCHOOL FOR THE BLIND..

Depending on the state, there would already be horrible consequences if you did manage to push somebody down the sewer, and killing them. I really got nothing to say to this one. Wouldn't these emails get into the spam folder? I've broken the next paragraph into smaller sections.

Why is it only the mom. Always just the mom. Never a dad. Seriously.

One by one, all of the girls who pushed Carmen that day were found dead. They had all been killed in exactly the same way and were all found at exactly the same spot. In the sewer at the bottom of the same uncovered manhole where Carmen had met her doom. But the killing didn’t stop there.

Carmen doesn't seem exactly as the nice type either. I think she deserved to fall down that hole. I mean, "But the killing didn't stop there"... Have she heard of karma?

Carmen is sure the revengeful type, huh? Carmen might as well kill everyone then, because nobody believe her story. Also by doing this, Carmen might as well be killing everyone anyways, because who knows if one of these "people" would grow to find the cure for cancer..then it will be ALL Carmen's fault for ruining it. She's a selfish person. No doubt about it. And "According to legend". Which means that the story IS fake, or highly exaggerated. This paragraph is kind of repetitive, because when you are paralyzed, you can't move. ._. And also because of the sink, drain thing. And what if I DON'T EVER go to sleep? How is she gonna get me then? Huh? HUH? "Then, as you scream in horror, Carmen will come and tear your face off." Seems like a harsh punishment for not believing someone. WHAT IF I DON'T SCREAM IN HORROR? WHAT THEN, BITCH*.

So be careful who you bully, because you just might find yourself on the receiving end of the curse of Carmen Winstead.
This part is just random. It never mentioned bullying someone will lead to Carmen being obsessed about your skin. She has major problems.

AGAIN..WHAT IS UP WITH THIS ONLY HAVING MOMS. I'm surprised the police hadn't seen a pattern yet. People who only have moms that die in a sewer after loud noises and found without a face because of a psycho face-addicted ghost.

Even Google her name - you'll find this to be true.

True? ITS A FREAKING URBAN LEGEND. NOT REAL. ONLY DUMBASSES FALL FOR THIS (No offense to you who fell for this). Its not even said by trusted news sources. Only from jerks who claim that this is real just to see your reaction.

If you don't repost this saying "They hurt her," then Carmen will get you, either from a Carmen Winstead it's actually true

Shit Scared . Dont ignore :O

Its not true. The end.

Here's two websites I found on the subject:

This one is especially nice, because it uses the same propaganda (but they probably didn't mean it; it was probably there just to make a point) used in all regular chain letters: http://urbanlegends.about.com/od/ghoststories/a/carmen_winstead.htm

And here is the other one. This one is also good, because it points out how this chain letter brings fear. : http://philsadvice.com/carmen-winstea
