If Wikipedia were to make a new entry for "Shitshow", it could easily be summed up with three words - "The year 2016". Everyone would understand.

Between an election that was two steps lower than a dumpster fire behind an adult bookstore to all souls that left the mortal coil much too early, the year had way more downs than ups. It's safe to say there are fewer fond moments of 2016 than from the years prior. Luckily, it is a new year and it should be fertile soil for new ideas to sprout and take root in.

Going into 2017 I hope everyone has happier times and prosperous days ahead.

Here’s an opportunity for everyone (in the U.S., I suspect) to watch Amazon Prime’s The Man in the High Castle. Between now and New Years Eve the series and two others will be free to binge on. The cinematography and writing of TMIHC is unbelievably well excited and plot centering around an alternative ending to World War II is fascinating and scary at the same time.

I thought my TV was hijacked by The Onion tonight when a commercial for V.I. Poo interrupted my late night How I Met Your Mother session (don't judge). Curiosity got me, so I quizzed Google to discover that the spray was a real product from Air Wick and listed as a new arrival at Amazon.

Who knew the Hollywood types worried so much the trace evidence they left behind when taking the Browns to the Super Bowl?

As far as the Devil's Donuts reference 24 seconds into the commercial, I thought I had heard the name before. My memory wasn't wrong, those are the donuts of choice of Homer Simpson and Chief Wiggum.

In a presidential race that has had more sideshows than subsistence, it is easy to overlook the minor circus performers in the 2016 presidential three-ring circus. One such daredevil lost in the shadows of mainstream media's spotlight is Joe Exotic.

The Donald may talk about grabbing the *you know whats*, but Joe Exotic has grabbed them, tamed them, and built a habitat for them.

Hillary may have had issues with the Justice Department, Joe has too. After paying a fine he says his D.O.J. problem are behind him. And speaking of behind him, he legally married his life partner.

After dark this evening my wanted to play fetch under the stars. She opted to fetch a frog instead of the Frisbee. Lucky for Kermit, I was able to get it out of her mouth before any permanent damage happened.

This past Sunday Amazon's Jeff Bezos introduced the world to the Amazon Prime Air Drones.

Amazon wasn't going to rest on it's laurels, so now using what appears to be North Korean aerospace technology, the online mega retailers announces Amazon Rockets.

The Nikon Df Features Retro Looks and Controls Along with a Modern FX Sensor

My first real camera was a Nikon F2, that I used constantly in the late 70's and early 80's. The "Two" was taken off of active duty and replaced with an F3 and an FM2. I loved the way those camera handled, felt, and the images it captured. It seems Nikon does too, with their announcement Nikon Df.

One thing I miss is tactile response from changing shutter speeds with today DSLR's. This Video from Nikon hints the clicking will be returning, at for the photographers willing to spend around $2,749.95 for the FX body. OUCH!

I can't expand much more than what Nikon already has, but I plan to try the Df soon and share what I like and dislike about the retro styled DSLR in the near future.

What do you think about the Nikon Df? I'm really interested in hearing your opinion, regradless if you are a Nikon fans or another camera brand. Don't be shy, the comment box is waiting.

Google has added Galápagos Islands to Street View Treks on +Google Maps . Charles Darwin’s observations and collections of the Galápagos wildlife in 1835 contributed to his theory of evolution by natural selection.

Darwin choose the Galápagos because there wasn't a Walmart he could visit to reach the same conclusions about natural selection.
