Jefferson Terrace Salon & Spa invites you to an event to benefit The Agnes Shelter Home, which helps local women and children in need.  The event will be held:

Wednesday, March 23, 2011
4 pm – 7 pm
Jefferson Terrace Salon & Spa

Jamestown, NY 14701

$5 donation at the door includes soups & refreshments.  Enjoy the beautiful Sterling Silver Jewelry of Silpada Designs while sampling some delicious soups and refreshments.  All proceeds from jewelry purchases, raffles, auction, and soup will be given to The Agnes Shelter Home.

ALL WOMEN DESERVE TO SHINE!

While monetary donations are gladly accepted and appreciated, the Agnes Shelter is in need of many other items as well.  Part of Jefferson Terrace Salon's goal is also to fill our shampoo bowls with items such as:

  • Towels (bath & hand towels, kitchen towels and washcloths)
  • Potholders
  • Women and Children's underwear – all sizes
  • Women and Children's socks – all sizes
  • Pajamas – all sizes
  • Baby Wipes, ointment, etc.
  • Size 5 & 6 disposable diapers

To All at Jefferson Terrace Salon & Spa,

I just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful Silpada & Soup fundraiser event! I attended with a friend, and while I know a lot of her background, I didn't realize that she was an Agnes Home success story.

During the evening she had an opportunity to talk with the director of the Agnes Home, who renewed her invitation for my friend to volunteer for them. This week at our church we had a woman come in seeking help to escape abuse. My friend happened to be there and was able to listen to the woman's story and walk her through the initial steps of connecting with the Agnes Home.

I think your event helped re-raise an awareness in one woman, and I saw it play out in the life of another this week. Thanks for stepping up and making a difference!

Inspired by Godfrey’s donation, the staff of the Jefferson Terrace Salon & Spa donated their time and services Tuesday, with money raised throughout the evening going to Band of Parents – a non-profit organization comprised of the families of children with neuroblastoma. The group’s mission is to help find new ways of fighting childhood cancer by funding research.
