This is a great product. Within 3 days my dogs were completely trained. Neither of my 2 dogs hit the fence more than twice. It is a good idea if you buy this product to buy extra batteries because the batteries in one collar quit after 2 1/2 weeks. I really like that the range from the control box can be adjusted. I went camping and fixed the range to match the campsite and the system worked wonderfully.

Beware, the description of this product does not mention that it ONLY works with a RF-100 transmitter. Unfortunately this is only revealed after you almost cut your fingers by opening the horrible clam-shell packing and see it written on the reciever. When you have a RF-125 transmitter, like I have, this thing doesn't work. I will have to see if Amazon is willing to refund an opened package.

We have had this system for seven years and have had very little trouble with it. Unlike the wired inground systems, there are no wire breakage issues, and it will NOT shock your dog on the way back to your house if they managed to run through. The perimeter will always be a circle, so keep that in mind if you have a long, narrow lot. We have found the batteries much cheaper on amazon. The best price was $15 for a set of four, including shipping. Follow the video and set up the flags to train your dog. Do NOT just plug it in and let your dog find out for itself about the new perimeter. It will become neurotic and afraid of the yard.

We have three small dogs. We have pad trained them as well as taking them outside. We use a large pad holder by Iris with this pads. Many days they do not even use the pad, but it is always available. However if we need to go out for any length of time they make use of them. I have two chihuahuas and need a very absorbent pad. I used to order wonderful pads from another company but they substituted this thick, absorbent pad with a larger, but cheaper, less absorbent pad so I came to Amazon, read reviews for this pad and ordered a small pack of the extra-large (approximately 23 x 36). They are great! However, they are really too expensive to use all the time so I use one for overnight and one if we are going to be away for most of the day. I use regular pads bought from another source for the rest of the time. I wish these were more economical, we would like to use them all the time. I will continue to search for a more economical superabsorbent pad (if there is such a thing). I gave these pads 4 stars, but would have given them a 5 if not for the price.

I've tried a number of different brands, and I think these are by far the best pads. My puppy likes and uses them, they are very absorbent, the filling doesn't bunch up inside the pad, and if my puppy ever decides to rip up the pads, this doesn't result in white filling all over the house (these rip somewhat more neatly into strips). You could probably avoid the ripping issue altogether by getting the tray you can buy with these (though I haven't tried it).

We had regular wooden baby gates to keep our two small dogs from going upstairs and they worked well enough but then I became pregnant and decided I wanted a walk-through gate so I didn't have to step over or remove the gate entirely every time I wanted to go upstairs. We choose this gate because it's wide enough to fit in our stairwell opening and because of the wide walk-though area. I Love this gate. We just leave the handle pulled up so we don't have to push the button every time we want to walk through it but I like that it's available for when the wee one will be old enough to start tugging on it. We also rent so pressure-mounted was important and after properly installing it (which I admit was a bit tricky) it hasn't budged at all in the past 6 months. It's very study! I just bought another one because I like it so much.

This barrier worked really well for me. I have a Jeep Wrangler and it fit really well. However, I have only a 24# dog, so not sure about a bigger dog. Mine just gave up trying to get over, under and around the barrier. I think the only way a big dog could get through would be to go over, unless it chewed the cover. It works great for me.

The reservoir fits on and the fountain works great. The only problem is that my cat has decided that he likes to attack it. It is pretty easy for the bottle to be knocked off and spill everywhere. The top is also very hard to unscrew and therefore hard to refill. The bowl isn't really big enough for my dog (golden retriever) and cat to drink from it all day without being refilled (why I bought the reservoir).

Works great, but one thing to know if you find the reservoir continually overflowing the bowl: the o-ring lining the grove in the lid is essential! I learned this the hard way - my reservoir did not come with the o-ring, and for the life of me I could not figure out why it kept overflowing the bowl. Finally my scientist boyfriend figured out that without some sort of o-ring to seal it, little bits of air escape out the threads of the lid, causing the water to flow out without stopping. I then read the instructions, and sure enough, there is supposed to be an o-ring in the lid! We ended up finding something at Lowes that worked in a pinch - "TEF Valve Packing 5/32" x 18" rope" - but I'll probably end up calling the manufacturer and request the actual part be sent to me. Works like a dream now - but I rate it one star short of five because it was missing the essential piece!

I'd had the Drinkwell fountain for a couple weeks, as I wanted to test and see if I really needed this additional reservoir (I had a feeling I would, with 3 cats and a smallish dog). And, yeah, I do!

While the fountain holds more water than my old Petmate fountain, having the ability to add this reservoir is one of the additional things that sold me on Drinkwell.

I generally don't fill mine up to the very top, as it simply "rests" on the back of the unit - it seems really secure, but with my rambunctious brood, I don't want to chance that they'll somehow knock over and I'll come home to all 50 ounces on my floor. Even so, only filling it up half way gets me three days of use before having to fill it again (I do have another water dish in another part of the house that sees quite a bit of use). Before I added the reservoir, I was adding water nearly every day.

Cleaning it is so easy, since it's plenty big enough for me to jam my hand and dishrag down in there.

I did have small troubles with getting the lid/seal to fit back on after it's first cleaning --- I was rushing, and just jammed it all together, and tossed it on the fountain.... came back 10 minutes later to discover that I hadn't gotten the seal properly in the lid before putting it together, and this caused it to leak continuously. Lake Westgate had formed. Oy. It was my malfunction, but it's something to be aware of - that little gasket ring must be properly in place, or you'll be sad. And likely have wet socks. And have little wet animal prints on darn near everything.

Still - it's a 5 star item... the pair of fountain and reservoir have made my critter watering tasks much more simple AND I know they are drinking the water they need (instead of licking the tub, for instance).

the fountain runs out of water everyday and creates a very loud, obnoxious noise. when i bought the reservoir it continually ran through the water so that it flooded the fountain and my floor. i called the manufacturer and they sent me a replacement lid, saying it sometimes floods if the lid is curved. the replacement they sent me looks just like the old one and i'm afraid to use it. waste of money!

I wish I'd found this indoor pet barrier years ago. No more telling the pooch "OUT" every several minutes. On Day 1, my assertive mini poodle quickly learned that going into the kitchen was off limits. He was startled the first time he went through the barrier. But quickly realized that the 3 warning beeps mean "move back quickly" to avoid a shock. He has tested the outer perimeters to see how far he can get before the beeps, but other than that, he's only gone into the kitchen twice (through the invisible barrier) and after getting a little shock, quickly got out. BUYER BEWARE: This system is not foolproof. We put a second unit at the base of the stairs. He has figured out that if he gets quick momentum then runs fast enough up the stairs, that the invisible barrier doesn't realize he even went through it. No beeps, no shock. SO, we think the only solution is to put a third unit at the top of the stairs, where he slows down and the system will detect and warn him. IN SUM: PetSafe Pawz Away indoor barrier is worth every penny. But if you are using this unit to keep your pooch from running out the front door, there's a risk he will just run past it and still get out. I suppose it depends on the temperment of your dog. Mine is daring and strong-willed.

My dog zombie is a 24.5 lb terrier mix who loves him some cat food. In fact, four cats worth of food. We have tried everything to keep him away. We scolded him, threatened with the slipper, moved the food to an area where he wasn't supposed to go, all to no avail. Then I got the petsafe pawz away barrier. Like another reader I tested it on myself first and in my honest opinion its mild, but enough to provide a shock. Like a bad static electricity shock from a door knob. It was easy to set up- the hardest part was opening the package itself. (I hate those sharp plastic boxes). Three zaps later, and I don't even need the collar anymore! Even if I throw a toy against the cat bowls, he wont go near em (not wearing the collar mind you). Very happy with this product- just wish it were a little less expensive since I really only used it for a day and a half.

My 70 lbs German Shepherd started limping recently. After playing outside for 30 to 60 minutes, he'd limp the rest of the day. We took him to the vet. They said he has elbow dysplasia in one elbow, but the other one is fine. He already has dysplastic hips, only one of which we were able to correct via TPO surgery a few years ago.

The vet recommended Dasuquin while discussing the diagnosis. I didn't expect much since we all know that medicine is a voodoo science. However, I have been extremely surprised at how well this stuff works, once we got into the routine of remembering to include it with his dinner. My dog doesn't limp anymore. Even after multiple hours of chasing things in the back yard he will be trotting fine. It's been about three months since we started Dasuquin.

Good stuff, definitely give it a try if you're on the fence. It really surprised me.

My 2.2 pound 11 week old puppy loves to play with/shred his pee pads. Ever since I've put the pads in the tray, he has not tried to play with them. I have the small and medium trays for different areas in the house. They also help to ensure that he pees/poops on the pad, not half on it or near it. There is a slight lip that he has to step up over. This is not to say he is accident free, but when he is on the pad, everything stays on/in. Great product.

The floor protection tray is big enough and weighted enough and really would work if the pads for it were not made too small.

The pads need to be longer and the frame made with some type of catch so a puppy (or older) can't just pull the pad

out of the tray. Just a waste of money on the tray because the pads made for the product are too short and don't work any better

than the cheaper brands available everywhere without having to order online. Very disappointed.

The two strays I'm feeding outside sleep on the warmers and seem to be doing quite well this winter. I still

I have a Jack Russell Terrier who is 10 years old, 10 inches high, and 10 pounds, rather small for a JRT, but like all JRTs she has a big dog heart in a small dog body. I have been looking for a while for a good treat that would keep her busy for a while and the Flossies fit the bill. However the price kept me from treating her very often. (I have seen these for $4.09 a piece!) Then the vet told me her teeth needed cleaning (actually, they are not that bad at this point). So I gave the Flossies another look. At this price, a bit more than $2 a piece, I can afford to give her one every other day. A LOT cheaper than teeth cleaning AND I don't have to worry about her being anesthetized. (Of course, I am also using a couple of natural products to clean her teeth and keep them clean.) She really goes to town on the Flossies, scraping away on those back teeth, which is exactly what I like to see. One Flossie lasts about 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the size and shape of the particular Flossie. A few notes in response to other reviewers -

(1) Flossies are a natural product, thus the size and shape varies from one to the next. All in all, they are remarkably uniform, considering. So don't expect the perfection of extruded by-product or undigestable fiber.

(2) Flossies are a natural product, so they smell when combined with dog saliva. As long as you expect it, it isn't horrible. Again, I would rather have that smell than some artificial "spearmint" thing from a plastic toy.

(3) ANY TIME your dog is chewing on a Flossie or any other rawhide or fake rawhide toy/treat, YOU should be aware/watching. Any dog will, from time to time, get it in their head that they need to swallow what's left of their treat before they are really finished, usually to protect it from another pet or from you. Don't leave a dog unsupervised with any edible treat like this or you may end up fishing a curly piece of Flossie out of their throat, especially if you have a dog that tends to swallow things whole or inhale their food.

(4) This is the cheapest price I have found and I have looked EVERYWHERE. (And this is a lot cheaper than teeth cleaning!) If you find a better price for REAL Merrick Flossies, please tell us all!

The only way this would be better if it was available on Amazon Prime and I could guarantee I would get it in two days with free shipping.

Our 10 month old lab could not live without her daily flossie! If we say flossie she will run straight to the box from anywhere, including outside. She eats them pretty quickly, so sometimes I put it through an everlasting treat ball (a rubber ball, with slots on both sides that you are supposed to put their biscuits in, but our dog gets them out too fast and could choke on them). NOTE: Beware of the sizes. I thought I wanted Large, but once I actually researched the sizes, Large would have been entirely too big (almost as big as my dog and bigger than our own stockings!). I ended up getting the Small for my dog and the Mini (available elsewhere) for my cats.

Small - 7.5"W x 17"L

Large - 9"W x 18"L

This stocking is the perfect size as it actually is big enough to hold an AKC plush squirrel or mallard duck and several other dog treats. The fabric is soft, the stocking is a true cool red color, and the green paw print shapes are nicely statin stitched onto the red stocking. I was also plesantly surprised to find that it arrived wtih a complimentary gold glitter pen. The only reason I'm not giving it a full 5 stars is that the glitter doesn't adhere very well to the fabric used for the white part of the stocking; everytime the fur moves, the glitter breaks apart and since it is "fur" the name cannot be embroidered or stitched on. If you don't have little children this won't be a problem, but I have a 3 year old that keeps touching the stocking so the letters keep "falling off."

I picked this carrier as a comfortable alternative to the plastic carriers for my two guinea pigs. I needed something practical and comfortable when traveling (guinea pigs are prone to stress...the plastic ones aren't really soft enough so when they jump around they can hurt themseleves).

I'm giving this carrier 5 stars because it is perfect for me and my purpose, but I don't know that it would be perfect for anybody else using it for its intended animals (dogs and cat's not 2-pound guinea pigs). The large is a good size for my pigs, they have some space to waddle around and can both stretch out with room to spare. However, unless I was going on a very short trip (like to the vet) I wouldn't want to put my cat in there - she is an average sized cat, certainly not overweight or excesively large, and I really don't think she would have any space at all.

I would reccomend this carrier for a small dog or cat (toy chihauha, tea cup yorkie, kitten, munchkin cat, etc) but anything normal-cat-sized or larger is definitely going to need a bigger carrier.

My dog is a boston terrier chihuahua mix. I picked this carrier because of the price and size, as well as the visibility and seat belt options. Unfortunately though, I have barely used it. My dog doesn't like it much, as it is a bit cramped for her height. She is 14lbs and an inch or so too tall. more problematic is that it is too easy for her to get out. She climbs right out of the partial opening and there is nothing to attach a harness to so that she can't climb out. It works ok if I don't unzip the side, but I was looking for something that had this option so that she wasn't so confined. Also, it would be much better if there were a top entrance in addition to the side. Overall, the bag looked nice and was well constructed, but it just wasn't very practical.

My little chi loved these when she found out they squeek. She wasn't strong enough to squeek them herself but she loved it when I did it for her. My one complaint was, after a couple of months of use, one lost its ability to squeek and the other two developed holes along the white seam lines. I bought this bowl for my outdoor cat and placed it in the (mostly unheated) outdoor shed where her bed is, and so far have been very happy with its performance. It's winter in SW PA, so temperatures vary from below 20F to mid-40s. It's such a relief to know that she has water available to her 24/7 - before, I was having to change it out at least twice a day, and it was frozen solid every time. I chose this larger size to account for evaporation in case we have to leave for a few days. The cord cover is a very nice feature, and the cord is fairly long as well. I do have it on an extension cord (despite the directions) out of necessity as our shed is not wired, and have had no problems so far.

Wasn't sure how it would work on our 137 lb English Mastiff, but my fears were unjustified. Following the directions, we let her see it for a few days, listen for a few days, touch her with it for a few days prior to trimming her nails. It worked great. Her nails are extremely large and thick, and the grinder didn't slow down a bit. The Vet said they were as nice as she could have made them look. I had a retractable leash from PetSmart that lasted a a few years before the retractable portion started to falter, so based on reviews, I thought this would be the perfect replacement. It worked great for the a month, then yesterday, as I was turning a corner, the cord caught on a post. It momentarily stopped my dog until I could unhook the cord from the post. The cord was fine, no cuts or abrasions at all, but the sudden stop must have knocked the cord off whatever mechanism's inside. Now it's very slow to recoil or stops recoiling completely. I have a 22 pound Pug that is well within the listed 26-pound limit, and the sudden "stop" wasn't so hard that it should break anything.

So, I called Customer Service. The receptionist politely informed me that all leashes come with a one-year warranty and gave me the return address.

Overall, I'm pretty disappointed. I will have to buy another leash while waiting for my replacement. Once it comes in, I'll update this review.

I foster dogs of all sizes for a local shelter. My forever dog is an 80lb lab mix. For larger dogs like our lab, the large bags are a must. We use the regular for anything under about 50lbs, I would guess. For really big dogs, like a 100lb great pyranees we had recently, even the big bags don't cut it. If you have a bear or a St Bernard, you may find these bags too small.

These bags also compost as promised, even in my slow, unmanaged home yard composter (don't worry, it doesn't go on any food crops). The bags take about 6 months to a year to degrade completely under these conditions--I would say a few months slower than "regular" slow-composting items like corn cobs, for example. It helps if you don't tie the bag off completely, or rip it right before adding to the composter, so the poo microbes can get to work heating up the surrounding compost instead of dying in the plastic while they wait.

Bought these for my 16 pound Schnauzer and they are generally just the right size. On those longer walks/jogs when he's especially, shall we say, prolific, a second bag would be helpful. So far I've managed to make it work with just the one bag- but it can be tricky. I had been concerned on occasions when it was raining out that the bag would begin degrading before I got back to the house, but despite getting close to soaked, they've always held up well.

It feels great knowing that these are certified biodegradable and compostable. I hate the idea that plastic bags full of doggie dootie are filling up our landfills.

I have 3 70 pound retriever mixes and they always have to have something in their mouths. Unfortunately, it is usually one of their fellow pack-mates that they wind up chewing on and the 3 of them get to scrapping like a scrum in a rugby game. Not very restful.

However, with 3 of the large Everlasting Treat balls stuffed with these treats, I'm good for a couple of relatively peaceful evenings. Depending on the dog and the ball, the treats usually stay in there and will one two-pack will last a couple of nights. Occasionally, the treat will "pop out" of the ball and the lucky dog will be able to chew it up in about the same amount of time as a raw-hide chip.

I like that these aren't raw-hide since raw-hide will sometimes cause digestive issues in my dogs (and there is nothing worse when 3 big dogs have digestive issues!).

I'm so glad to see Amazon sell these because my local Petsmart no longer carries them -- at least not in the size that I need. Plus, Amazon saves me a trip, shipping, and tax... happiness abounds for bi-peds and quadra-peds alike!

I've been using these for almost a month now and just ordered some more. I have two labs so I split one between the two of them every day. They LOVE them. Ok, they love any treat, but seem really excited by these. One lab already has good teeth, the other does not. Plaque covered the surface of all of her back teeth. While the plaque is not 100% gone, it is greatly improved, probably about 75% of it has been removed. I'm hopeful that with continued use, it will get even better. Also, this product does not give my dogs intestinal "issues" as other rawhide treats have done in the past. Only downside is that these chews are not consistently the same size or thickness. Great product, I am hopeful to spread out dental cleanings more as they are pricey and require the dog to be put under.

Gracie's teeth started to show a slight build up of tarter, bought these and most of the tarter is gone. Her teeth are pearly white and her breath is fresh. Saying she loves these chews is a grave understatement. A true golden (2yrs old), she is not picky and will eat most of what we give her, but with these, she will act foolish until she has one in her posession.

Choking on the chews:

Every time she chews one of these treats, she tries to swallow a large, unchewed portion of the rawhide strip that never fails to get lodged in the back of her throat. I keep thinking she'll learn to chew the entire treat, she is a smart dog in all other respects and only chokes on this particular treat. Yet with every one of these treats given to her, I have to reach in to her throat and pull out that lodged piece of rawhide. May try cutting them in half.

I am torn on these treats because they do such a great job on Gracie's teeth, she just loves them and they are affordable for daily use(unlike Greenies). Just wish they weren't rawhide.

I don't know what I would have done without Anti Icky Poo! With a name like that you know it has to be good and is it ever! We have 5 cats of which only one started out as indoor - ha ha! All rescues and/or abandoned and all neutured. HOWEVER, one is a male and if I hadn't participated in the neutering (when he was a kitten), I would swear something was left behind. He acts more like a tom and can be brutal on the girls. He is usually outdoors or in the barn at night (because of coyotes). But in the winter he hangs out inside and he & his mom (only one who can keep him in line except our border collie mix who is our enforcer!) have a downstairs room of "their own" so our nights are peaceful. In spite of his toughness with everyone else he is a real pussycat to me and I love him to pieces and it's a good thing. He'll go through spells (after being outside all day) and come in and piss on something. I don't mean marking - I mean emptying his copious bladder. I keep two litter boxes one upstairs and one down and am fanatic about cleaning them - so that is not the problem. In addition, he has been known to corner my sweet senior calico. No serious injuries - just scaring her into emptying her bladder - once on a shelf over a television resulting in it flowing into the tv and ruining it! Yes my husband is a SAINT (well, he did get that new tv out of it!) I won't bore you with all the behavior adjustment techniques (his & ours) we've gone through but he is getting better. Suffice to say during these trials and errors, Anti Icky Poo has been a life saver! I have taken completely saturated bedding outside, hosed it off, thrown in the wash with a cup of Anti Icky Poo, let soak for 24 hours and GOOD AS NEW. Works fabulous on hard surfaces and smells great at the same time. If you have similar problems, DO NOT HESITATE to try this! My dog had a pretty bad urine accident in my guest bedroom and we tried everything to get the smell out. Steam cleaning the carpet with pet-specific product only made it worse. Before I bought this product, I was convinced we were going to have to replace the carpet. We used the anti-icky poo cleaner in conjunction with the ph-balancer they sell. We also used the carpet injector, which was necessary for this job! Just follow the instructions and know that it will take at least two weeks for the smell to finally dissipate, but it definitely does! I purchased this toy for my 6 month old Alaskan Malamute. It was a great toy while it lasted. I found that she chews less of the baseboards and other things she shouldn't if I keep her occupied with these kinds of toys when I'm not home. However, with her being a big dog she was able to demolish this toy in no time. I fixed what I could and it lasted another week before she had it in quarter size pieces. I've since bought her toys similar to this that are hard rubber similar to Kong toys, but these are a little different. She has to work harder to get the kibble out. I would recommend this to anyone with a small to medium dog.
