Best New Sitcom: Better Off Ted

ABC knocks it out of the park with the premiere of a hysterical new sitcom, Better Off Ted. After only two episodes, I am hooked, and finding Wednesday nights to be "appointment" television once again.

Not since NBC's Thursday nights which included Friends, Will and Grace & Seinfield, has such a brilliantly delightful new comedy arrived on the scene. If you missed the first two episodes, you can see them online at ABC.com , and catch Better Off Ted on Wednesdays, on ABC.

LOS ANGELES (AP) - David Letterman said he and longtime girlfriend Regina Lasko had a bumpy trip to matrimony last week.

During a taping Monday of CBS'"Late Show," Letterman said he and Lasko married March 19 at the Teton County Courthouse in Choteau, Mont., but only after their truck got stuck on a muddy road.

Letterman and Lasko, whose son, Harry, was born in November 2003, didn't take an immediate honeymoon. The late-night host was back at work in New York on Monday to deliver the news - and a few jokes about the marriage.

"Regina and I began dating in February of 1986, and I said, 'Well, things are going pretty good, let's just see what happens in about 10 years,'" Letterman, who turns 62 next month, said at the taping, according to a transcript.

After avoiding marriage for more than two decades, Letterman said, "I secretly felt that men who were married admired me ... like I was the last of the real gunslingers, you know what I'm saying?"

The road to the ceremony wasn't smooth, he told the audience. He, Lasko and their son were on their way to the courthouse Thursday when their pickup truck got stuck in the mud.

"So now we think, 'Well, somebody'll come.' No, nobody comes along. Nobody comes along - it's Thursday afternoon; who's coming along? Zorro? No, nobody. So I get out of the truck and I walk 2 miles back to the house into a 50-mile-an-hour wind," Letterman said.

"It's not Beverly Hills, it's Montana, for God's sakes. And the whole way, I'm thinking, 'See, smart ass, see, see, you try to get married, this is what happens,'" he said.

When he returned, Letterman said, Harry asked if they were still going to town and was assured they were.

"And he gets very upset because mom had told him if I wasn't back in an hour, the deal was off," Letterman said.

Where has the American Backbone gone?

While AIG continues what I beleive to be CRIMINAL behavior, tax-payers paying for wealthy executives bonuses, the American public continues to do nothing but idly stand by and allow this to continue. Remember the Boston Tea Party? When will Americans finally have enough of the pirating and looting of the tax-payers pockets while lining their own with Million dollar plus bonuses for a FAILED business. How ludicrious!

Didn't we use to Stone people for less criminal behavior? When will it end, when will the American people finally stand up and say ENOUGH?

If you're not furious, YOU'RE NOT PAYING ATTENTION!

From the AP Wire:

Connecticut's attorney general says documents turned over to his office by American International Group Inc. (AIG) shows the company paid out $218 million in bonuses, higher than the $165 million previously disclosed.

Attorney General Richard Blumenthal's office received the documents late Friday after issuing a subpoena.

Blumenthal says the documents show that 73 people received at least $1 million apiece, and five of those got bonuses of more than $4 million. The financially ailing insurance giant has been under fire for giving bonuses after receiving more than $182.5 billion in federal bailout money.

AIG spokesman Mark Herr declined to comment Saturday.

Blumenthal said the newly revealed number will "further fuel the justified anger and revulsion that people feel."

You may already know I spend my winters in Florida. Each of the past three years, I pack up my office, some personal items, and head south for the winter. This winter, I did something a little different. I purchased an Annual Pass to Walt Disney World and used it as my passport to recreation. Instead of watching Television in the evenings, I would visit the Disney parks.

It's true, Walt Disney World is the Happiest Place on Earth, and Dreams Come True each and every day. I have become so very enchanted with the property, the cast members, and the level of service provided each and every day. There is truly no place else like it on earth.

This year, I celebrated my 44th Birthday at Walt Disney World and I hope to celebrate every birthday after there as well. I had the most magical time.

A Most Magical Birthday at Walt Disney World

This year, I choose to spend my birthday at one of the most magical places on earth, Walt Disney World.

Our Hollywood Tower Hotel VIP Tour Guide, TJ, took us on an exclusive elevator ride for this great birthday photo.

I had so much fun today, it truly was magical, and I'm so very greatful for my friends, and all the fantastic cast members at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Government Should NOT Bail-Out GM

GM should petition the OIL companies, who are again posting RECORD BREAKING PROFITS!

Given the symbiotic relationship between the auto industry and the oil industry, WHY is the US Taxpayers responsible for an Industry which bet EVERYTHING on OIL!

It's ridiculous to ask the taxpayers for this support.

Corruption is essentially termed as an "impairment of integrity, virtue or moral principle; depravity, decay, and/or an inducement to wrong by improper or unlawful means, a departure from the original or from what is pure or correct, and/or an agency or influence that corrupts."

Corruption, when applied as a technical term, is a general concept describing any organized, interdependent system in which part of the system is either not performing duties it was originally intended to, or performing them in an improper way, to the detriment of the system's original purpose.

Its terminological usage possesses connotations of evil, malignance, sickness, and loss of innocence or purity.

Ethics and Corruption Mike W. Peng describes corruption as the abuse of public power for private benefits, usually in the form of bribery. Also, corruption distorts the basics of competitions by misallocating resources and slowing economic development. Furthermore, according to Transparency International, which is headquarted in Berlin, Germany, and is probably the most influential anticorruption nongovernment organization (NGO), there is a high correlation between corruption and low economic development.
