Weird Rant:

I sometimes find myself feeling really sorry for people who claim to be heterosexual and are actually gay, and I mean openly admitting to being so. I feel like when you're younger it's much easier to wade in the water and dance around with all types of people. Getting older when I see relationships failing like that it's more confusing. My straight/gay phase consisted of me kind of liking guys and then really liking women to basically only being attracted to women and that occasional hollywood hot bod like Ryan Gosling or something. For other people.. it seems to rule their lives, as if they are constantly battling between the difference. I do sometimes wonder if I will miss that kind of relationship in the future but I quickly remember why I haven't. I like girls. That's it.
So if you're ever really struggling and you can't figure it out, I have no advice for you. I can however tell you, I prefer my lifestyle over the hetero lifestyle. They really are two completely different worlds and there are great people in both regardless of your choice. So if you're ever stuck in that weird spot, i'm sure it sucks.

I went camping with my best friends at a pretty secretive location and it was amazing. We ate and drank and spent quality time with each other because that's what the 5 of us really needed. It was worth every minute. I love my LesbiFamily so much (:

My little brother Kyle went and joined the Marines! This is our last night with him so we needed to do alot of picture taking! He signed an 8 year contract which is super scary but everyone is super proud of him for it. We all need the structure. We are def. going to miss his spirit around and his sense of humor but this is such an amazing step into adulthood and for a 20 year old, he made a pretty great decision for his future. So, I am definitely proud of him. Congrats Kyle, I can't wait until this family is full of Military kids. We gotta make em proud!

Drew's Hospital Stay

... anywho. We had been at the hospital for a week from 8am to 8pm somedays, just waiting for him to recover from surgery. He's finally home! But these are some photos of our stay in the hospital last week.

Also, this first picture is creepy because I captured it while Drew and Arianna (his gf) were passed out, I couldn't help it... look how freaking adorable they are :)

I've been wanting to move away from Washington since the time I realized where I was living. I have wanted to live in Southern California since I was young, not only because my OBSESSION with Disney but also because my parents have taken me all over, and I fell in love. I really find Portland to be beautiful and liberal and that's really what I am looking for. I almost moved to Arizona back in 2009 but thankfully I didn't. Although Phoenix and Scottsdale were absolutely beautiful, I am glad I chose to stay. To much heat, to many spiders and I can't walk my pup without her having to have little booties on! I've thought about the East Coast, but in dead honesty... the natural disasters that happen on that side of this country terrify me. I love New York, I hope to stay there sometime for a good part of the summer. I want to travel to North and South Carolina with my parents and my grandparents but I don't think i'd ever live there. I've heard the beaches in Michigan are beautiful and I've been to Savannah but couldn't stand the humidity. I've only ever been to Texas once, and I didn't see anything beautiful about it but i've heard stories. Colorado looks amazing and I think sometime in the Winter I would like to travel through there and go skiing. Also, hiking looks like it would be challenging in Montana, but i'd love to do it. I've also heard nothing but good things about Nebraska, yet it's just another place I would like to visit. Moving is permanent, it freaks me out but I want to move so badly. I have lived her for 21 years, that's practically a quarter of my life in the same place. I know Washington well, and i've seen everything i've wanted to see. The only times I think I want to stay is when I see visions like the one I saw last night.... the sunsets in the Pacific Northwest are breathtaking. Mountain views and pink skies... I couldn't imagine not living where I do. I am torn.

Never thought i'd feel this again.

Let me tell you about my girl Breezi West :

I've never used so much force or so much effort trying to get someone to notice me. I've never tried so hard to chase after someone for months who I thought wasn't interested in me or someone who lived hundreds of miles away. Until I met this one. After months of relentless chasing, I got my chance with one of the most amazing people I've ever known in my life. All the chasing, all the rough nights away and all the second guessing was beyond worth what I ended up with and who I now have had the pleasure to know. Learning new things about someone has never been so fascinating to me, I have never wanted to know so much about someone.
Every time I see her I get excited, it's been months that i've spent with her and yet I still can't wait to see her face when she's not around. Waking up in the morning knowing that she's in my life makes me feel great about it. I always know I will see her soon and it makes the time worth it. Have you ever trusted someone instantly? Because I haven't..... until her.
I don't know what it is with this girl but there is nothing wrong with her. Her flaws make her even more perfect to me. I want to make her happy all the time. Is that corny? This girl treats me like I just walked out of heaven. If I am hurting she finds a way to make me better, if I am sad... she knows exactly what to do to make me happy. Waking up in the morning to her makes me feel safer. With two completely different personalities colliding, there is never a full collision. We seem to be able to always find an agreement on anything and everything. I appreciate the friendship I have in her, and I like knowing that the person I care for so deeply, is caring for me back. It's good to feel loved, everyone needs to feel it in their life. It's also nice to feel that way so effortlessly, like there is no need to continuously remind each other yet we do anyway. I'm thankful to have someone so supportive of who I am, and so understanding of that as well. It's not easy to accept all of someone, especially with no one person thinking alike... but it's not like that with us. How do you know when you've found your "soul mate"? How do you really come to choose one perfect person out of so many imperfect people (someone perfect for yourself I mean.)
Breezi, I want you to know that no matter what things you go through over these next few months or what hardships you have to overcome with what's going on in your life... I am going to be standing by your side through it all. You're my comfort and I want to always be yours. We are the epitome of a mushy, corny couple. But that is what makes us, us. I thank you for making me such a happy girl, and for loving me for all the things that others haven't. Your love for people is what makes you, You. Your family and the people I've gotten to know in your life with the impact you've made on them, it makes me love you that much more. You are all genuine people, your love for your family and for God is so over powering and so over whelming to the heart. I appreciate you all, and I can't say it enough. I'd do anything for ya girl, and I want you to know it.

In October I met one of the best people I could have ever met, her name is Kelsy Balcom. I have had such funny times with her. In a few short months I was able to know and understand this girl inside quicker then anyone without really even getting to "know" her. She became my ride or die, bar loving, beer loving, good friend. The girl is a great writer, with an amazing spirit and sense of humor. Unfortunately she had to move to San Diego because of the military, on Wednesday we had our last outing with her! It was a great time and it was definitely emotional but worth it. I miss you so much Kels! The jokes you tell are unlike any other, the heart you put into everything is noticed and your strength is undeniable. I'm glad to have met such a self-sufficient, and confident young lady who could open my eyes differently. I wish you were still here, but i'll see you soon little solider.

Looking back on 2012
I accomplished so many things I thought I wouldn't in 2012, unexpected achievements:

Got a new job, a management position

Got my certification to start school

Moved out of my old house with my roommates and moved in to my own apartment instead

Celebrated my 21st birthday in Las Vegas

Made amends with all of pprevious enemies and ex lovers

Cut ties to a horrible relationship and faced the reality after two whole years!

Found new friends who mean the world to me

Found a friend who made me see them as more

Went to Hollywood, Disneyland, San Diego Zoo, Laguna Beach and San Clemente once again!
Got a brand new Canon T2i camera
Recieved a fabulous iphone5 and furniture as a gift... the most amazing grandparents!

contacted family I haven't spoken to in years
Got stuck at home for four days because of a freak snow storm!

Learned that I am a great Karaoke singer when it comes to Disney songs!
Found a bar that feels like home, they should play the cheers theme song every time we walk in!
Went to two awesome Seattle Seahawks games, and tried some awesome beers

Mended the relationship with my cousin and became best friends (: aw

Quit drinking coffee and eating red meat for a while

left my horrible job at Macy's :p

lost almost fifteen pounds in the summertime

Walked in Seattle pride, again!
Started climbing indoors for a while and didn't like it very much but it was a great challenge.
Went to a Seattle Mariners game
Tried to get the groove of snowboarding down but wasn't able, I'll forever be a skier.

Lately, over the last two months I have made amends with all of my enemies from the past. I have become friends with so many people, and I know a lot of my old friends find it odd that I spend so much time down at the bar but they don't realize how amazing the people I know actually are! I've met the greatest friends and I have had the best conversations. I have been spending time with the karaoke DJ's and the bartenders. It's nice to walk into the bar and have everyone know you by name, to not be carded and to have a nick name when you go up to sing karaoke. No one can turn down free drinks! But besides that, I really enjoy going to the bar... my life is like the show cheers! I wouldn't trade it for anything, look at all these great people...

From the time I moved out of my parents house I lived with multiple roommates and my partner, it was amazing living with other people..... but i've never been as happy as I have been living on my own. I lived in the North end of Tacoma for the last two years and now I live downtown Tacoma. All though the area is iffy, it's so great being able to see the city lights at night and the water downtown. It's perfect being next door to the bar I go to because we just walk down and walk back.
Living a millisecond from stores and restaurants is extra convenient. Growing up in the small town of Gig Harbor, I was so used to living in the woods or in neighborhoods, with small town rural. All though Tacoma is a small city, city life and town life are not one in the same. In fact, they are much different and I still love them both but i'll never get sick of this! Hopefully one day in the next year I will be moving to Capitol hill or Queen Anne in Seattle for at least 6 months, now that will be some city life!

Seattle Seahawks Round II

I went to another Seahawks game, this time with my cousin! I woke up late and had to drive a friend back to Gig Harbor but we were still able to make it to the train and to the game early! Both of us didn't feel very good at first but we ended up eating and drinking and feeling great! It was freezing, raining and the game was literally insane! The score was 58-0... pretty embarrassing for the Cardinals but it made me appreciate the Seahawks, especially the kick ass Seagals and our awesome fans! GO SEATTLE!

I also really love PANORAMA on my iphone 5!

I went from having a crappy iphone 3GS which I was obsessed with when I bought it, to having a perfect little iphone5. I'm trying so hard not to ruin it or get it scratched up but I have terrible luck with keeping things in mint condition, it's a bummer. But the thing I love most about my new phone is the fact that everything is up to date and my picture quality is fabulous! I can't stop taking photos on my phone, which is probably why most of my blog posts are full of iphone photos... sorry folks :)

Tree Cutting

Every year we go to the same tree farm and cut our trees as a family, with the grandparents, the kids and the grand kids. It is a definite tradition, we have been doing it since a I was just a baby... and each year we eat chili and chowder and dine together as a giant family. (run on sentence, sorry!) This year cutting the Christmas tree was an adventure, Kim (my mother) got a little too excited, my cousin and I came really hungover due to previous festivities, but hey... it's all in the season right? Ever since moving to Tacoma my cousin and I have become much closer and have ended up spending a lot more time together so it was a lot more fun this year with the family being so peaceful and everyone getting along so well. I was feeling super artistic when we were cutting and it was cold and rainy so I just took the minimal amount of photos and tried capturing the rainfall. This is what I got.

Since I moved into my apartment and got it completely furnished, my mother and I decided to have a pre-thanksgiving dinner with all the fixins! My step dad and sister were in Arizona over the holiday so I wanted to spend time with my mom and cousin. My cousin lives in the same apartment as I do so he came over and ate with us and then we took my mom down to our favorite gay bar "the mix".. it is definitely my home bar so I was really excited to take my mom and introduce her to all the best people I know right now! She had a blast of course, and we got her a little buzzed which was a treat :) Sorry mom! Thanksgiving was spent at my aunts house as usual, and the food was amazing. It's always nice to spend time with the family and act like the typical eccentric family that we actually are!

My step dad and grandpa have had season tickets to the Seahawks for years and years, and every year I say I'm going to go but never do! This year, being 21 and being able to enjoy the games like a big girl... I said LET'S GO! I didn't know I could be so cold, so drunk and have so much fun at a football game! The Seahawks kicked the Jets butts and they certainly have the best fans! I'm not a football girl but I loved it! Especially going to get brews at 11am :D

I’ve been staying in the last few days and then going out at night… today I managed to stay 100% sober. Being alone and thinking about the same things multiple times with multiple scenarios really puts things into perspective. It’s made me realize how foolish I have been acting. How cruel and unfair I’ve been to people lately. I’ve been selfish and I kept saying I would be better every time I woke up to reality, but I keep recreating the same problems when I’ve been drinking or doing other things. I’m taking out repetitive anger on the same people constantly. My anger is all built up from one person and I shouldn’t be letting it constantly mess with my head. I have this idea that the people who say they care about me are plotting against me or trying to mess with me, and that’s clearly not how everyone is. It’s not anyone else’s fault, what happened to me in my relationship. Not everyone is the same. It’s really unusual for me to drink in the first place because I’m really good at having self control and I quit drinking for a couple years before I turned twenty one. Now that I can go out, I love it… it’s an outlet for me but it’s not a positive way to cope with frustration. Surrounding myself by people is only a distraction.

I feel so awful knowing there are a few people who were trying to be there for me, and couldn’t have been any more sincere and I continuously lashed out at them when I was intoxicated. So many people whom I owe apologies to, but how do you continuously apologize to someone when they’ve heard it before from you, over and over, again and again? They will never forgive me again; I have used up my chances. If ever I feel guilty or bad about something I tend to push people away so that they feel confused. I recently found out that I was messed with in my last relationship, I found out things that I didn’t want to know or hear, and even though I’m not in “love” anymore, I still can’t cope with the fact that the people you think you know so well, can lie to you the ways that they do. I’ve only “hooked up” with four women in my entire life, three of which I were dating… so the fact that someone I was with for over two years could hook up with people like it’s just a thing to do, really baffles my mind. It takes so much courage for me to work up to even kiss someone, but to sleep with someone and tell someone you love them, too… that’s completely out of pocket for whom I thought she was.

I feel scarred from a relationship, and I feel ridiculous for letting myself feel that way. I need to figure out so many things, and I feel like I don’t want to be with anyone for such a long time, because I don’t know who will actually be worth it and who won’t. But I do know that I really need to wait, and wait a while. Like I said in my last post, I’m not going to continue to work for something that won’t work for me. I want someone confident enough to know that they are the right match for me, that WE are a right fit for each other. I don’t want to continue trying to make things work, because I don’t think you should have to chase anyone, the right people will always come to you. But beyond that, I don’t think I should be feeling like I need anyone, which is why I have to wait. My time will come.... right?..

Being single feels so surreal to me because I haven't been in so long. I'm lucky that it happened right around the time that I turned 21, otherwise I would have gone crazy. I can't remember what it feels like to not go to the bar, or to not be 21 and I have only been for 3 weeks. Times flying by and I am loving this social bar hopping life. You meet the greatest people, I love it so much.

Another thing i've been obsessing over is right and wrong. As in... who is right for me and who is wrong for me.... Or if it even matters? Obviously it's not like I need to be with anyone, I just got out of a long, complicated relationship. I just feel as if I'm scared to be alone now. So I'm not going to risk it this time. Before I do anything, I am going to ask questions, i'm going to play the "hard to get" role as long as I can, I am not going to give in to temptation. I am staying away from dates and romance. I am doing weird things like asking people what their ambitions are or what their zodiac signs are, anything that makes us okay together will be what I look for in the next person I dedicate my time and my life to. I am not going to jump into anything because I can, I am going to go into something that I want to be in.

I am going to find someone who wants to be the best person they can be, not just for me, but for themselves. That's what I need, that's what I want. I'm not saying cockiness, I'm saying confidence that they know they are an amazing person, and that I will work my hardest to be that same type of person for them.

Exhaustion

Goodness gracious, could I be anymore tired right now? First of all, I had a break up.. where I had to move all of my stuff out of our house and move it into storage, and move into my parents. Then I had to work the next day, and had a bacholorette party that night. Had to get up the next day and finish moving then worked for two days straight, then I had to go shopping for my mom's birthday. Worked again, then had my birthday dinner that night. The following day I had to go to the DOL for two hours to get my ID, the mall to get my wedding shoes and then had to go to dinner with my mom for our birthday, and directly after that went out for my birthday with my friends. Got home at 2am and then stayed in bed with a tummy ache for that entire day, but had to be in Bonney lake by 6pm that night to go to my brothers rehearsal dinner and stayed out late with the bride to find last minute wedding things. Woke up the next morning and had to rush to get my make up and hair done... then speed back to Bonney lake (which is like 45 minutes from my house) to head up to North bend (another hour away) for the wedding... stayed out until 2am because I had to be a designated driver for another part of the bridal party. The next day which was a Sunday, I had to go and sign the lease to my new apartment and work. Then for three days I was working and moving and PACKING because I had to go to Vegas that Thursday with my friend. We needed to shop the day before and I wasn't unpacked at my apartment yet, so it was a mess. Vegas was so relaxing, finally... but then I got home and immediately had to be back at work and get everything else moved into the apartment! I'm still not unpacked and I still have so much to do, I haven't even gone grocery shopping. AHHHHH! So much, so little time. Just thought I would rant and share. Thanks guys :)
