Amel and Stef were very easy to please so therefore I always enjoyed hang out with them. Amel was always amazed by something she saw and she was always ready with her camera. Even something that looked ordinary she was still able to make it looks so special.

Stef was even more special to me. Although she had different belief to us, she was the easiest person I had ever met who can to get along with anyone. With these two girls beside me, hiking 22 km from my house to around the Howth Peninsula did not feel tired at all!

When we realised we were lost we were back up to the car park and then turned a left before the car park location. The road was down to somewhere, we still didn't see anything yet. After 5 minutes walking we found a view even more amazing than the ones we saw before.

The lands surrounded by so many beautiful flowers and front of us was clear sky with a blue sea landscape - I just wanted to stay there forever. We were in the middle of the yellow flowers with a lot of spines on its sprigs. Stef put on her jacket back to protect her white skin from the sting while I myself didn't feel the sting at all even though I didn't put on my jacket.

Amel was ready with her camera, I was busy admiring the views front of me and Stef kept walking not far from front of me.

We were walking about an half hour and then found rock hills front of us, we climbed all the way to the small path of the rock hills, slightly tiring but still fun doing it. We took a rest about 10 minutes, lying down on the grace .... it was just so peaceful and ... heavenly.

How Not To Lose Your Enthusiasm When Learning English

I've just visited Effortless English forum and intend to posting this article there but then I remember that I haven't posted anything related about learning English so I decide to share my ideas about how to keep your motivation while learning English.

I'm interested in sharing this due to some people in the forum sharing their failure feelings in learning English, that they have no progress yet with their English.

Effortless English is now bigger than four years ago, I see more new members now join the forum. They come from around the world with different levels of English and hoping only one thing from Effortless English: speak English fluently.

AJ Hoge, the founder of Effortless English, has a very promising method that can make people speak English effortlessly. The ads about it is also very eye caching and influence people want to buy the lessons, but then they feel that is not as good as its ads when they find their English has no improvement.

Be realistic!

First thing first, be realistic when learning English. You can't reach your goal if you don't do exactly as your teacher ask and you can't pass the exam without studying the subject first, so study is important. Manage your time is necessary so that you know how long you must finish one lesson. I know Effortless English is English Podcast course that can be learnt anywhere and anytime but if you want to be exactly what AJ's said (speak English fluently in 7 months) then my advise is you should specific too with your study time table.

Follow anything what AJ has instructed to you about learning English. Listen to the lesson as long as you like. Stop it if you feel bored with the lesson. Try to find different resources about learning English - makes yourself enjoy with it. Remember to repeat it as many as you like but don't force yourself!

Surround yourself with positive people

Easy come easy go. It what happens with our enthusiasm. The enthusiasm usually comes on the first week we join the forum, the feeling likes we could speak English effortlessly just in a week, but then after a while we feel the enthusiasm is getting less and lesser. Don't ask why, it just human natures - it happens to me as well sometimes.

The good thing for us is Effortless English forum is filled by enthusiast and positive people who want to learn English so fast and better yet many of them are already good at English, so takes this advantage by sharing your English writing with them. Even better if you join the VIP member as often AJ Hoge, the director of Effortless English, gives comment to member postings.

Don't stop practice!

Bored, lazy and frustration - I feel this way sometimes. And it's normal to feel this way. Keep away the English learning activity for few days, but comeback soon! What makes me keep going to practice my writing is I have English blog, so I can keep practising between the two places. But now, I'm back to write again in the forums and my blog!

Anything about English

Do you know the simple to learn English quickly? Life with English language. If you don't have the opportunity living in the English country then ensure you have everything related to English language. I love listen to English music and now I can understand completely any English programs or movies without the subtitles.

This way will teach you directly correct grammars, idioms, conversation and so on. Once you used to with English language you understand even difficult words - even you're not fluent yet you will find yourself more comfort using English than your own language.

Last but not least, you must love what you do - it's very important! The passion comes from because you love doing it and your positive surroundings too.

And don't forget to have fun with English!

My New Template, Designed By Cebong Ipiet

After long journey looking for the suitable template I've finally got one! Last week, I decided to contact Cebong Ipiet , a blogger from Indonesia, asking her to design a template for my blog. She responded my email on the same day asking and the rest was very straight forward.

As I mentioned on my previous posting that I really like Ipiet's design (her design colours specially!), so when I told her about my favourite colours she instantly sent me the lay out samples.

And here it is ... my new lovely template :).

The order template took only few days (less than a week), I did the front payment through PayPal and the rest bill paid after my template finished.

I'm very happy now with my new look template. Thank you Mbak Piet - you rock!

Facebook, Parents And Kids Under 13 Years Old

Being young kids and no disciplines often find at aged between 0 - 12 years old but parents must not stop to remind their kids of what they should do and don't. It is a challenging job for most parents or teachers to remain calm when dealing with young kids as these young kids are little people who know only their own rules and not knowing clearly what is wrong and right.

Things become more challenging for parents when social media becomes trend today. Last year, my little handsome boy (he's 12 years old now) asked me to sign up a Facebook account for him. I was actually disagree to do it but he insisted with reasons most his friends have one.

I find many young kids today have a Facebook although Mark, the Facebook founder, regulates the account user with maximum age at least 13 years old. I gave a clear message to my boy that he's not supposed to have Facebook until at least his age is under age regulations - whether he understood or not, I stated some regulations he must obey while using Facebook.

Regulations between parents and the young kids

As we can't avoid the invasion of social media on the Internet so important to give a simple explanation of using Facebook to our little kids (specially about not using it for bullying friends). What first I told to my boy is that I have access to his account. Anything that has been set up on his account cannot be changed by himself unless if he asks for permission - ensure he doesn't break the rules!

Don't be too hard when giving regulations (as they won't understand it). After all, remain an image that Facebook for their ages is for fun i.e. playing games.

So far my little boy obey the rules BUT does not mean he's good all the time .. (he's a boy, you know!)

Keep checking their Facebook

When a clear message given (that we have access to their account), they know that their Facebook is being watched by their parents. Tell them also the reason we have access to their account because their ages are under parental guide.

My boy wasn't active on Facebook until recently I find he's been on Facebook almost everyday. I allow him to be on Facebook because of school holiday. So far is only playing games and messaging his school mates. As a growing boy he always has something to explore with ... like liking a girl, and I realise that I'm growing old...

Having A Talk

Ready with unexpected things on your kids Facebook. Take action immediately is a MUST when you see the kids do inappropriate things on Facebook. Remains calm but decisive and ask them to have a talk about something related to their Facebook.

Yesterday, I had a conversation with my boy about a thing he did on Facebook. I discouraged his way of calling his friend impolitely. His answer just like what I expected. "Because he says that to me and to others too" he depended himself (typical a boy's answer when their mom ask him for his wrong doing).

While they still explore with their new world then wiser for parents if we don't threaten them for their wrong doing - explained to them instead that there many good things we can do on Facebook, this way is more effective and positive to give them better understanding about Facebook.

Still About Online Dating,

You probably still remember about my friend who got scammed from online dating, she's till doing it and two days ago she has her membership upgraded. She has confessed to me that she is actually tired with dating online but her curiosity to find a good guy keeps her going.

To be able to get more features from the online dating site she takes further step by upgrading her membership. She's now able to get in touch with whoever contact her by message or a forum chat.

"You sure you wanna do this?" I questioned her in the few last minutes before she filled in the form online.

"Yes. This the only way I can get in touch with a guy I really want" She replied positively.

Dating online can be helpful if you know to keep away from frauds (remember the story of the army guy?). If you're smart and know how to protect yourself from scams you might get the guy you really want. I know some people who start their relationship from dating online and then get married - it's not just about lucky that they got the really good one but because their 'intellectuals thinking' to get the right person.

I see too often girls/boys lament to their unhappy relationship/single life and they don't change the way of (quality) thinking about the person they want to be with.

I and Other Women While Manicure Done ...

While my hubby is still hang over from drinking last night I spoiled myself in spa today. The appointment was made last week for the manicure - my last manicure was almost two months ago, so that quite along ago. I don't usually do manicure in spa, I do it myself at home or even sometimes I ask my hubby to help me when he relax :). However, women do sometimes need to be spoiled with their things, too.

The thing you usually do while in spa, especially when you do manicure is talking or gossiping. Whether you like or not, you would get interest to listen what they talk about. Like me, I like to be a listener instead of the talker, but I do talk as well to participate the conversation.

Manicure or pedicure can take one or two hours to get done - depend on what type of manicure/pedicure you take. This is long enough and usually I get sleepy very quickly by this. I think that's the reason why women like talking or gossiping - to pass the time quicker while waiting their manicure/pedicure done.

This morning, I had two women do their manicures, I was in the middle. The talking began when my therapist open the conversation: "Do you know what, my boyfriend leaves me. He's cheating with another girl. Bla, bla, bla..." A woman who sat left beside me reacting with her eyes opened: "Oh no". The other therapist who sat on the right beside her replied: "Are you okay?"

She looked excited telling how her boyfriend leave her for another girl. "Yes, I'm okay. I'm happy he leaves me". Her friend, with supporting voice responded her: "I'm glad you're happy".

Her story eventually inspired the other therapists to share their relationship story, on how her boyfriend cheated on her. The conversation began hot and hotter as we all know start to judging.

For me, I don't really like gossipping or sharing my story to strangers. I talk my personal life with friends who I know very well. For a while, while listening to their conversation, I was thinking: "What's in their minds - talking about their personal life with strangers?".

But something change my mind about sharing story in women, when I saw my therapist got support from the women surround her and she looked feel better about it, I told myself: "we should be glad to be among people who can understand and support us and not all about gossiping is bad".

After about one and a half hour, my manicure was finally done.

The Euro Lotto

The unlucky numbers we bought yesterday :(.

Euro lotto tomorrow will be estimated € 65. Today is our anniversary so I told my hubby to try our luck buying one line of a lotto ticket.

Like others lotto game, Euro millions has a very small as many people across Europe buy the ticket, but I want to take a part to win the prize!

On Monday, I did syndicate with my friend for Euro millions and we won € 8. We've planned to spend the money for buying the lotto again, we did it yesterday but no luck. We're gonna try again on the Irish lotto on next Saturday.

I actually promise my hubby not to buy lotto again (as he doesn't me become addicted!), but I break the rules :). It indeed can make you addicted if you can't control yourself. But I teach myself not to go crazy. If I win some numbers, I use the money to buy just one line.

One line ticket is € 2 for the Euro and Irish lotto and you can choose the numbers by quick pick (the machine chose the numbers for you) o using your own numbers. before, I always take the quick pick but now I chose my own numbers.

Hopefully my winning numbers will be drawn tomorrow. If they do, I will keep it in secret :).

Mr & Mrs De Fretes

It was a great news I got yesterday from Jakarta. Mrs De Fretes, a good friend of mine is going to have a baby! I got the news a bit late as her pregnancy is about 8 weeks already, but I'm still very happy for the news.

The very happy married couple :). I stole the photo from Mrs De Fretes's facebook, forgive me Ratu .
In the future, I will upload the baby's photo :).

They were actually married last year and I was invited to their wedding but unfortunately I couldn't make it. I promised to myself instead to see them again on my next visit to Indonesia.

You probably still remember the post about our first meeting in Jakarta. Since our first kopdar I always make effort to meet her (and the husband) again :) - that is because they are a lovely couple, funny, smart and generous!

The lucky couple are now expecting their first child which Insya Allah will due next year. And I can't wait to see Mr and Mrs De Fretes again - hopefully next month.

Need A Template For My Blog

Two Crimes On Sunday Evening

I and my friend went to town on Sunday for girls day out. We planned to go for window shopping and then lunch. We went around from one shopping centre to another, just wanted to have a look what we like but the only shop we ended up in cashier was only in a food shop, restaurant and cafe.

After half hour over we decided to go to food shop where near to the shopping centre area. Not far from the shop entrance, we saw a big fat woman coincidentally bumped a man who was apparently blind. As the blind man was trying to look for the stick, the woman didn't get any help and not even said sorry to him - instead, she was the one angry to him.

She rushed enter to the shop while we were just a few steps behind her. Less than 10 minutes, the security shop approached and warned the woman: "What do you have inside your jacket?". As she stand very close to us, we looked at her curiously, and apparently she stole something from the shop!

I was glad that the security caught her, at least that her reward for being so bad to the blind man.

We went out from the shop, still talking about what had happened earlier. We decided to have a lunch in Malaysian restaurant where just 10 minutes walking from Henry street. The delicious foods from the restaurant had removed the story about the woman. We were enjoying our lunch for about half hour.

After finishing the lunch we continued to Asian market where just 10 minutes from the restaurant. Again, almost nearly the entrance, two teenagers were running so fast through us, and we heard a girl shouting very loudly: "Stop him, stop him!". While we had no idea what had happened, two Asian men who were standing just front of the Asian market, with no fear, they grabbed one of the teenagers.

The girl approached them and asked the young kid: "Where is my iPhone?!". We could see the young kid 's face looks so afraid as the two Asian men were very angry with them. "This my own phone" he showed his phone to them. The girl asked where his friend was.

On that moment, we realised that the girl's iPhone had been stolen by the young kids while she was on the phone and walking in the public place!

"Does it all happen because of the crisis economic, so that makes people crisis moral as well?" we entered the shop, with still unbelievable feeling with what happened in one day.

What You Should Know Before Living Abroad

Our plans to move to Singapore will be released soon and this will be my first posting of the label Singapore on my blog. We'll be flying in the early June and lots of things need to be organised and done. Some works have done, like the renting house, we find a tenant for our house, at last. While the plans moving still in progress I have the idea to share my experience on my blog - how it feels to move far away from home (well, actually for my husband).

Nervous

Although we're used to living abroad since we were young but we still find it a bit nervous to live abroad. It is a big move for us and most everyone in Ireland who planning to live abroad. I can still remember how it felt like on my first experience with living abroad.

It is normal to be nervous bear in mind we will face a culture shock and everything different to our current life. Maybe it's a good thing to remove your nervous is by searching what to do in your new place later. Like mine, I'd like to continue my study in Singapore or doing a business, even teaching maybe.

Stress

Too much nervous can also bring stress to us. It happens to my husband for some nights he couldn't sleep at all because of thinking too much about the plans. Sometimes we can't avoid the negative thoughts about what happens next although we have done lots of research to predict it but things can even become even worst if we don't try to gain the positive thoughts.

It is very important to keep your thoughts positive as it will influence your attitude too about what you will see in your new place later. If you think your can do as your plan the nothing need to be worry about. Positively, things don't always go smoothly as plan but positive attitude keep us away from bad luck!

Discover Ireland: The Beauty Of Howth Peninsula (2)

There were quite many people when we entered the start point. I think most of them were tourists. For few minutes, we were taking photos at the start point (and still with the ice cream!). The weather was so lovely, a bit breezy but still warm.

First 10 minutes of walking was just empty land and we arrived at not the very top of hills but high enough (as I'm so scared of high!), near the top hills there were very nice sun flowers thrive, the rest was just spectaculer of the magnify landscape of Howth Peninsula, between hills and the sea. And its just the beginning of the easy level ....

Some young girls who were not far standing far from us busy taking photos, I guess they were Spanish. They asked Stef to take them picture of them. It was a magnificent landscape, everyone would love to perpetuate that place in a memory. We asked them the same after finished taking photos for them.

We continued walking up the hills, as I was afraid of high, Amel and Stef guard me by walking left beside me. After less than an hour (that inlcuded with taking pictures!) the road hills getting steeper and I was getting even more scared.

Although the road beside the sea seemed very high I still enjoyed the view, I even forgot that I was scared of high after an hour walking as the view was just magnificent! That was also because Stef and Amel were singing all the way up to the hills :D.

Oh, I forget to mention about camera. I forgot to bring my camera but luckily Amel did and Stef had her iPhone. Amel loved taking pictures, so every step on the Howth Peninsula could not be missed from Amel's camera. So we had to stop for taking picture everytime Amel saw interesting subject!

The good thing is she's a good photographer :). And oh yeah, I forget one more thing, all photos were taken by Amel (sorry Amel I didn't ask you for permission - just can't wait to post our trip!).

So peaceful

In the middle of the top hill we took a rest for just few minutes (and off course taking pictures again!) and then we continued the walk. Still half to go to the easy level, Stef and Amel continued singing the song that I've never heard before in my life.

We joked all the time all the way to the hill, what I liked most from these two girls were they were fun and easy going no matter what the situation was. Stef was the girl I like to bugging most, and yet she was still smiling and showing her cheeky face - and we loved her!

Without checking how long we had been walking, we arrived at junction between the easy level and the harder one. We discussed for a while, Amel asked for the harder one, which is symbolised by red colour. We agreed. We walked up to the road and saw a car park. We decided to take a rest for few minutes on car park and the continued to see around the car park which was just located beside the sea.

Amel took advantage this rare view by taking some photos while Stef was trying to take photo of me who was standing beside an odd building. We continued walking down the road until we saw a junction we realised that we were lost ...

Discover Ireland:The Beauty Of Howth Peninsula

Howth is 6 km far from where I live by walking and just 5 minutes by train from the local station. Howth is also well-know with its Peninsula and hiking activity. I have actually been Howth for several times during weekend and when the weather is nice, but never done the hiking in Ireland before - not until my friends came up with this idea for my 'farewell party'.

On May 5th 2012, I, Amel and Steff decided to have a big walk. We planned to walk from my house to Howth and then hiking. Around 11 am we started the walk. Although it was a bit breezy but the sun was still very bright, which was just perfect for us!

Walking in Ireland is such a nice thing to do, especially when weather is nice. We didn't even realise walking for around 6 km, we arrived in Howth village about 12 noon. As soon as we arrived we got lunch at Beshoff. Beshoff is famous with its fish and chips and I think it's not just me who love this mouth-watering foods but most everyone do.

Howth has also restaurant where just located beside the sea. On weekend, I and my hubby sometimes like to have lunch there. Aside from the food price is reasonable for tourist and local, the sea view is just great place for the weekend off.

There is also some fish and seafood shops around the Howth, which is another thing I love from Howth and makes me always doing my routine before leaving Howth - buying fish and seafood.

Although it was a bit breezy but the sun was still very bright, which was just perfect for us!

The three of us had fish and chips and fried prawns for lunch from Beshoff. We had the lunch just on the small garden near Beshoff. The lunch finished less than half hour and we continued to walk up to the hiking area. As we didn't know at all about hiking in Howth we decided to follow some people who were walking not far from front of us.

Along the way to start point was just absolutely so beautiful views and it took about 15 minutes from the Howth village to the start point. We took time to buy three ice cream for each of us before taking the big walk to the hills: two magnums for them and pink ice cream for me!

With still eating ice cream we read the maps for the hiking area. The map shows four lines with different colours and each colour tells different level of hiking. Green and blue colours were for the easy levels which took about 6-7 km of hiking. The red one was a bit harder, took about 8 km. And las one, which was the purple colour was the hardest one, it took 10 km of hiking!

And we were ready to hike....

The Spirit Is Back!

And yeah ... yeay! Back blogging with a high spirit. Finally. The new look of my blog gives me 'new life' to write again and yeah it works just like that!

Had been working hard to find new template for my blog yesterday but none was a cup of my tea. This template was, I think, the best for my blog. None of the premium template interest me so I decided to take this template. I found some templates were good but for some reasons they were enabled to upload on my blog.

The template's name is NotePad. I found it on Free Blogger Template website. I'd love to add the link of the designer for my respect to their creation but couldn't find their link. If you know the creator of this template please let me know.

New Template For JengSri's Blog - Yey!

Yey! After almost two hours looking a template I've finally found it! No details for designer but it's made by Bie. Thank you Bie!

The main reason why I change my template is because I see a blogger's template has the same template and name as mine - hopefully this is just a coincident!

So if you see this template has the same as your then it's definitely just coincident :).

Under-construction

I will leave the new template with a bit fixation - in case I change my mind :). Some of those lay outs need to be changed are link tool bars part and the box ads. Will need time to work on it.

Sorry for not up dating this blog nearly one month! Our time for leaving Ireland getting closer and closer. I'm physically not too busy but my mind is full with loads of schedules. Also, I'm a bit not in the mood to up date my blogs :(.

Need a new template for JengSri's Blog

To keep up my spirit from blogging, I want to change my blog template and have been looking for the newest template design. Just before I post this, I've been looking for some templates and my first research was my favourite Indonesian designer template, Cebong Ipiet. She seems does not have newest ones (I like the early Cebong's design 'Paper Girl' though), but the Paper Girl seems like everyone has it already.

If any of you have the good ones to share with me please, please, feel free to drop the links with your comment - I desperate looking for the good one :(.

My favourite template design

It should be elegant with nature color - kind of Cebong Ipiet's template design. I'm just so into her! Pink colour with elegant design would be my favourite one.

I just have a look Dani's design - its very good but the price is too high :(.

Free template or buying?

I prefer free (off course!) but I don't mind to buy as long as the price is reasonable. Below $30 approximately. I see some designer template put their price too high with template design below average. Sometimes I see the free template even better that those buy template.

Cannot Connect To iTunes (2)

This is just a quick post about my problem iPad (again!) - cannot connect to iTunes, to be exactly. Its just two weeks ago I got a problem of connecting iTunes.

Came up with a usual message cannot connect to iTunes when I tried to update the applicant, trying to the previous method but still didn't work.

This time I try the new method, is by going to to mail and contact and go to the id account and sign it out (leave sign out). Back to Apps or any application you wish to download and then sign in through there. It works for me :)!.

What Type Of Defense Person Are You?

Defensive is attitude that usually given by someone to cope him/herself for at least their security. The attitude has been studied in psychoanalysis for many decades, or well-know in terms Psychoanalysis as defence-mechanism. It was first coinned by Frued and then developed by his daughter, Anna, that defence appears to cope anxious that caused by the ego.

Psychoanalysis itself defines defence mechanism is a phenomenon activity which often occurs without consciousness. In some circumtances, being defensive is sometimes hard to avoid, but it’s normal. However, although it’s believed to be normal, excessive defensive can lead to such as ‘abnormal’ attitude.

The terms of defence mechanisms in which cited by Freud and Anna is constitue one of the most fascinating distributions in the psychoanalysist field. There are more than ten types of defence mechanisms from theirs terms, but below are the most well-known types of defense people:

1. Intellectual People

Nowdays intellectualization is no longer only about those who posses IQ above avarage, higher education, or posses qualification in one or more fields, nor those who can argue so smartly or confidently. In fact, it’s simpler than that: a positive self response in a situation is more important than those mention above.

For example, a person who has been diagnosed with an illness and he/she responses its diagnosis by learning about its illness, trying to survive by living healthier, and instead of surrendering or hopeless, this attitude responses now known as type of intellectualization defence mechanism. It sounds similiar with emotional intelligence: its how we asses our emotion in a situation.

2. Denial

Denial is when people who have consistent problem but denying their actual condition, such as drinking or drug problems. It’s totally different from somebody who likes to get attention by foul him/herself act in a ‘drama’.

3. Displacement

This type defence mechanisms is every so often occurs in everyday of life. When we face a bad situation, like angry with our boss or with our partner, we unconsiously/consciously to give free reign to somebody’s else — this is called a type displacement of defence mechanisms.

When the last time did you wreak your angry to somebody’s else? Just remember, that you’re just about to displace your anger.

4. Avoidance

Avoidance attitude appears when we dislike with something, and then we try to avoid anything that related with its object. For example, when we dislike with a social life style, we avoid not to join any community society, visiting family, gathering with friends, etc.

5. Sublimation

This type is believed by Freud as a sign of maturity. It’s just the opposite of displacement types, able to assess our emotion by distibute it to something more useful, like going to exercise.

6. Reality anxiety

Presumably, you’re afraid of snake. You go walk on the beach and see a sea snake near you, and you run away from it as fast as possible. This defence mechanism type is cited by Freud as reality anxiety.

7. Compensation

Do you know anyone who do their job to realise their aspiration comes true? For example, someone who can’t make his/her dream come true to be a famous singer might going to be a lecture at singing class — this is a type of compensation defence mechanism.

Those types of defence mechanisms if it’s used accordingly its measure, then nothing need to be worried about. As we often heard people say: “Nobody is perfect” — we sometimes unable to against the human natures, unlike computer or software where we can analyse exactly according to its formula.

How Do You Perceive Your World?

What do you think about the illustration above? I’m sure you will think that the illustration is a man with saxophone.

However, do you realize there is also another image beside it? The illustration is actually represent two images - and I will leave this to you .. to guess the other one.

We called the image is object. When we see an object it will stimulate our perception. It’s what psychology coins ‘Perception’.

How can we not able to realise both images at the same time? Or there maybe some people find it easy to recognize them? Yeah, probably. Some people with good ability seeing details object will be easy to answer the both images at the same time.

But most people can only guess one image of the illustration above, this is because we can only think the most familiar object. In this case a man with the saxophone is more familiar than the other one.

Assumption and previous knowledge are also involved in the outcome of perception, which is they can lead us to false conclusion: think how often do you describe new people you just met and at the end you find it false?

So how can be our perception false then?

When we see the world, the visual of our image to the object will involve such as depth, colour, size shape, and object recognition - these all based on our experience and knowledge/experience. All objects we see can manipulate our perception, therefore the outcome might be false since we see the object based only on experience and knowledge/assumption, not the actual object.

A very simple example about perception is the phenomenons in social networks. Today, internet is no longer used just for office stuff. The advance of technology today led people to ‘enforce’ us to be ‘pro-active’ to use the very advice devices as there just so many very tempting applications to use - they’re completely buried human’s life!

Blogging, Facebook, Tweet … you name it. They give great advantages and disadvantages. I myself have most all social network accounts. I very often got the friend add from strangers on my facebook or tweet, and yet they send me a message like this: “Hi Sri, I want to be your friend. I read your blog and I like your writings. You seem a very nice woman”.

Well to be honest, I’m always nice to people on the internet but rarely nice in my real life (my friends, and my hubby call me ‘jutek’ woman). I don’t really like having conversation with new people, I’m a bit unfriendly and quite woman. See, you won’t know about how not nice I am until I tell this. My smile picture and my nice words seem like representing my real characters to them.

Activity on social network can sometimes go further, like by giving personal details. Usually come from first impression to the person we know from internet.

Ana (30) met a guy from blogging. They chat everyday, sharing about their life story. Ana thought he was the man that she had been wanted. Ana thought they were in love. Until one day, they decided to meet up in where the guy lived.

Unfortunately, the guy wasn’t happy. Perhaps, Ana was not a woman he was expecting. The perception was failed. The guy didn’t want to contact her again. Ana was heart broken. She was disappointed. She tried everything to make him like her again. But still, the guy didn’t want to see her again.

When I asked him why he changed his mind about Ana, he answered: “She is just a friend to me”.

It always happens like that. In social networks or real life.

Our perception is never 100 % accurate. Your perception tells you what you see and think but does not tell you the actual object.

Why Is Respect So Hard To Give?

From century to century we've been taught by our ancestor to have respect of others. Whether its their lives, their opinions, their backgrounds, etc, respect is very crucial for the harmony while living in differences. Can you imagine life without respect?

Respect. It's really a simple thought but so many people find struggling to do it, particularly when it comes to accept other people's opinion - it seems that there is no way to put the respect in the context.

Why is respect so hard to give?

Culture background, education, gen, neurons psychological, and the condition mental health of the person - I believe those are count to be the main reasons why we like judging other people, making black and white with the out groups, suspicious, and nothing good about the outsiders but bad.

I remember a comedy film that I watched just two days ago, and its inspired me to put here, that there are two types of people in this world, the bad and the good people.

In psychology, the bad or the good people mean the out group and the in group - depends on where and who you stand with; we often see other people as outsiders when they are not the same as us.

However, if we meet with the type stubborn person with their opinion, like to make personal judgment, and can't speak nicely, so the only good thing we can do is not to judge them back. Try to make the conversation is calm as cucumber.

It's not easy not to against their opinion, but fighting them will not going to anywhere and won't be ended nicely. Judger hate if their opinions rejected and like to be followed by others. They won't stop until they win, or at least embarrassing you in public.

This is why war happens - it's the outcome of losing respect to others.

We're all different

We know this. The thing is we don't really know how to accept it. When somebody came up with a different thought from us, automatically our self-defense will guards our opinion to safe from those 'betrayers'. Even sometimes we find ourselves foolhardy by attacking their personal life and judging them - which makes the discussion out of the box.

Respecting other people's opinion doesn't mean we can't discuss - we can still argue about other people's opinion, but in healthy way. And this can be done only by accepting theirs. Accepting doesn't mean abandoned yours, we can still value theirs and ours, and composite them.

Don't forget also about our self-image as this is one of the outcomes why we can't respect to other people's opinion. Once the self-image patterns in our head then it led to the negative images about others.

Self- images comes in nature, if we can't control them then we never win anything. The key is subjugate yourself.

Cannot Connect To iTunes Store

It hasn't been six months since I bought the iPad, but I already got this problem twice, a message Cannot Connect To iTunes Store appears again since three days ago when I try to up date the application of BookStore .

I've forgotten how to solve this problem as the previous problem happened about three months ago so must look for the solution again through the Apple website.

Many Apple users give different solutions, and I must be careful not to try them all.

One of users suggest that the server is over uploaded, which I don't really understand. I finally remember when one of the users come up with a suggestion to reboot the iPad by pressing the Home Button and the Sleep Key together, but unfortunately....it didn't work.

I kept trying to up date by signing the password, finally it came up a message about new terms and conditions on iTunes. I clicked the agreement license and then automatically the BookStore application is updated - the problem ss solved now.

I suppose no one knows exactly what cause the Apple users cannot connect to iTunes store - I've been solved this problem with different solutions.

Hope this can help other Apple users with the Cannot Connect To iTunes Store problem, but remember this idea might not suit your problem at all so be very careful!

The Raid - The Best Indonesian Action Movie Ever

Knowing The Raid from a friend of mine who recommend me to watch this movie. Screened at Jameson Dublin International Film Festival on 18th February 2012, Saturday morning at 11 a.m. Based on some experiences of watching Indonesia movies, I wasn't really enthusiast to go. But my hubby still encouraged me to go as according to his friend, The Raid has good reviews.

Three reasons that encouraged me to go, its because Indonesian movie and I'm Indonesian, and because the good recommendation, and last was, Iko Ruwais, the main actor, and the director were presented after the movie.

We arrived about 20 minutes before the movie started. Surprised by the fact that Garret Evans, the director and Iko Ruwais were there, standing not far from the locket ticket. They were surrounded by some fans, mainly Indonesian fans. My hubby and I didn't want to miss the chance to take photograph with the main actor, Iko.

Again, we were surprised that the seats were full. Iko, himself and with the crew were sitting at the front. Myself and other Indonesians were sitting close to each others at the back seat.

The Raid movie recites about team SWAT trap in a building where own by the big mafia. During 100 minutes of the movie, most of the time people were clapping and barrack. Some of 'Maluku' accent was the one thing that most foreign didn't understand why other people (Indonesians) laughed.

A very tense action movie I have ever seen - but yet, I couldn't resist to keep my eyes open (my hubby surprised by the fact that I wasn't chill out during the movie).

There was a question and answer session after the movie, according the interview with Garret Evans, the director, The Raid will be remade in Hollywood version (which most of people aren't happy to hear this) - and I believe the Hollywood version will not be good as the original one!

There is also a rumor that Iko will be chosen as the main actor for the movie Mortal Combat which release in 2013.

The great news for Indonesian people is, that The Raid won award as the best movie at the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival event! Two awards for the Raid in one go - well done!

Starting in 2011, I decided to take a web design course. The course was taken just after I finished my European Computer Driving License course. It was a fun and enjoyable course.
