So...Where Is My New Soul mate?

In Europe, having single status in later years is normal. Unfortunately, not in my home, Indonesia. Women who aren't married will be called 'Perawan tua' - means women in the later years.

So that what makes almost girlfriends of mine can't enjoy of being single. Like a 'tumor' that someday can kill them, the single status is a disease that must granulated from their life.

Remember the story on my previous posting? She is one of those victims of called 'perawan tua'. She told me she's running of time to be single...she needs a husband!

No matter I said to her to careful and not being rushed into a new relationship or marriage - she just can't listen - she is running of time as she's thinking she's getting old... 40 years old, actually.

My hubby advised me not to get involves in her finding the new soul mate -- according to him, that would be my friend's problem, but what kind of best friend am I if let her like that?

But yeah..he's right after all.

In fact, she's not the only people who can't enjoy with the single life. Another friend of mine who is in his trouble marriage admits that he needs a new woman...new wife, exactly.

To be honest, I have no idea how can they think of getting into new relationship so quickly after the hearth broken from the previous relationship???

I don't believe the culture makes them like that as I grew up in the same culture, but thank God, I can't think of getting a new soul mate while having trouble in my marriage...or can you?

Yey, I'm finally back again to blogging. Have been busy for a while with things in life, and one of those things are looking for a soul mate. Not soul mate for myself! its for my best friend. She's been in desperate situation since back from Indonesia... from her disorder marriage.

To relieve her stress, she finds another way to make herself better...is by finding a soul mate through dating website.

One day a guy, an American guy who fess as army and had two kids sent her a message. He had a good profile with some photos with army dress; he also described himself very well, and that caught my friend's attention to replied his message.

After few times sending message, they decided to continue in Yahoo messenger. His words was very affecting my friend's feeling -- she took it seriously.

Luckily, my friend who is in her 41 this year, did not trust him straight away. She asked him to show himself with webcam...which he never gave.

The dating online with the guy persist until one night I asked her to give me his email address to check who he really was.

I was actually suspicious with this guy, as he seems too sweet to be true. I didn't say that there is no sweet guy exist in this world -- my suspicion is based his avoidance of getting on cam and also his love making to my friend.

And finally, my suspicions have become real! The person has used that profile to scam people!

She contacted him as soon as I told her about who he really was. As you can guess, he didn't fess it.

Time went by.

However, my friend still try her luck looking for her soul mate through online dating website. And guess what? That profile army guy appears again - but this time he pretends that he is in different location!

And yet, he sent her message...

Indonesian Jokes Aren't Funny

Two days ago, a friend sent me a text, telling me that she met a woman who looks similar to me. She also added: "Maybe because I miss your jokes. The only different from you and the woman is just the nose"....and she ended the text with joke.com.

To be honest, I don't see the jokes in her text - instead, I was thinking: "What is she trying to joke about?"

Anyway, that's not the only experience I had with Indonesian jokes. Every so often I find their jokes are over-jokes.

So what happened next if the jokes out-fix? it could become offended, right?

The thing is many Indonesian people don't really know how to joke. Here is one of recent black humour from Indonesia.

I have no idea what inside the maker of this 'black-ads'. How can you make a joke from the very tragic accident which just happened not even 24 hours yet?!

People are indeed mentally ill when they think they can make a joke in the name of other people tragic life!

Online Best Friend? Why Not!

Before I met her, I didn't believe about true friendship from internet. I mean, if in real life true and good people are hardly to find, how can we trust somebody from internet?

Our acquaintanceship began from blogging, and then chatting through YM. After few times chatting - we feel we're blend for each other.

Finally, we decided to meet in person few years ago - since then we become good friends (aren't we, Tu?)

In real, I'm not really a friendly person. I'm fussy about many things, therefore I only have few friends. But most of these few friends know my characters very well so I feel comfortable to say anything and even act such a kid.

She got me to show the way I am. I like the way she 'threat' me.

Today, I realize how good she is to me. I hope she will be my best online buddy forever.

Mistakes I've Made

It seems that my blog rank diminish every day since I have mistakenly removed photos on my blog (and I think I have posted about this).

Since the removing photos can't be undo, I'm looking for the solution to get my blog rank back to normal. In fact, nothing I can really except keep up to dating my blog.

The Top ten articles are the most sought after by my visitors - both articles and the photos. What I most sorry is about the image of Perception and Sensation - it has the highest rank for the most search illustration by visitors.

Now, I must work harder to get my blog value is back again!

Since the past five days the internet world has been appalled by a news from US about SOPA and PIPA. I myself have signed the petition in hope my voice can help other millions people who pro-internet.

I've read the effects for blogger if this legislation released. So therefore, I advice all bloggers, if you still enjoy blogging, to sign the petition.

Can You Discuss With Me?

Indonesian people don't know how to discuss. They really don't. From the top well educated people to the very poor educated people - most of them hardly to have a nice and calm discussion.

They can't understand their owns opinions let alone to others. Indeed, very stubborn people. They can't calmer when restating their opinions - would be mad if their opinion rejected.

And these types of people difficult to discuss can only be found in Indonesia!

Seriously, I don't know what else to say - too many times experienced like this. Either men or women, either young or old, too many of them are unyielding.

I can hear you, I can read, I understand totally your 'normal' language, but can't you talk calmer?

Social Network And Etiquette

Yesterday, a friend of mine felt annoyed from the profile picture of one of her friends on Facebook. I was actually surprised myself by the fact that she's friend with him on Facebook.

The thing is they both come from totally different world, and I know we don't chose friends on Facebook because of they have the same interest, likes, ethics or whatsoever, but...at least we chose friends because they are 'good' people.

Ok, here is the summary story. She wears hijab and the other is gay. I know him too but we're not friends on Facebook, and his gay is not the main reason I'm not friend with him. I have some gay friends, some of them are good friends, but I just can't see people with over narcissist. So instead of judging them I come with the idea not to be friends with these people.

What make me laugh is she fess that she never know what reasons make them friends on Facebook. I asked her what makes her annoying from him, and here is her reason:

Profile Picture

Apparently, its about profile picture. The guy puts his profile picture with a nude man with just a ball covers his 'tool' in an intimate gesture, and according to her he often posting 'weird' things.

My first profile picture on my Facebook was Indonesian flag. Then I changed it, showing my face. I didn't think putting your own face is necessary on a social network - for some reasons I have to change this thought in more positive idea of having your own face on your profile picture.

Your profile picture can actually bring some benefits, for example a writer. Many writers who have Facebook account will show their face on profile instead of their books. Your face have strong influence in something you are doing.

I can see the change of my blog readers when I show my face on my profile. Somehow, we feel closer and friendlier between the reader and the writer.

Unless you don't want to put your face on profile picture because you're a shy person, or you think it doesn't important... if that is the reason then its fine. But how about if the person like my friend told me?

Although its his right to put it on his profile, but Its indeed still annoying for us, especially if we don't like it.

Finally, our right sometimes isn't always about what right for us, but it obliquely involves other people'f life. Be respect to other people's comforts.

Fake, Expert

How many do you find people who claim themselves as expertise? I guess too many! This is not a new story anymore for us, beside corrupts problem, this is another unsolved phenomena in Indonesia

A couple of weeks ago I had a discussion in a mailing list regarding to counselling. The person who sent the email was claiming himself as a master on its field. Moreover, he was brave enough to invite people in counselling.

He gave his detail profile and particularly his master in which he got the master as counsellor in less than 7 months training in the subject area. Most ridiculously was the college/institute/ award him with a master counselor certificate .

He was very good at responding to the people’s problems, and I could see his ability through his writing. Somehow, I responded his posting, curious about his knowledge as perchance he was alluding my study areas i.e. Psychology and Psychoanalysis.

I know about his subject as I have studied it as well. His posting bothered me with a thought: "How could he help the patients?"

He has a very enthusiast and positive words: and this what he got from studying the subject. So he's kindly telling people a philosophy "We can do it!" for every type of problems.

Good attitude indeed. But, where is the qualification?

This is what still on going in Indonesia, and I deeply concern to what happens to grassroots in picking up an expert is totally wrong.

In other country such as Europe and America, they cannot give a counselling to people unless they are indispensible expert in its field. And to be expert they need to be in its field at least 10-15 years. Yet they need to be awarded by field its society. In other words being expert means full of knowledge in its field and able to prove that he/she legally as expert.

It’s enormously mournful to see people throng to tell their problems and they don’t even know the background qualification of the person - they likely just want to be listened.

More pathetically sometimes they irresponsive about this; it seems to me expert according to them is someone that can persuade them.

Neither the counsellor nor the grassroots seems that both are pretending to be the expert and the other to be patient.

The Republic Of 'Ketoprak'

A story tint a republic every second. It's inspired me to write about it as I'm part of its citizen. Off course I'm (still) so proud to be part of it ; born with the genetic exotics Asian looks; easy to find all the healthiest food (the thing I love most) etc. I’m just so lucky.

However, these fortuitously can only be seen by out side people *expats, when they visit my lovely republic or those people in the world who like watching news.

Those who look at my exotic beauty would say: " Oh you're so beautiful, how lucky you are to be born there". We are indeed very lucky.

However, I have (always) something to discuss about: the beauty of its islands, the delicious of its foods and the unfinished story of its corrupts. My republic is unique.

Sometimes I have a light thought share with a bit heavy subject with Tukang becak or tukang sayur - don't think they don't have ability to think critically, their hard experience life led them to see things from deeper and wiser perspectives than us who are more educated and have better life.

And I’m the luckier citizen than those people want to think more critically than them (and if I could...do something about it).

Drama, Food, Republic and Ketoprak

I remember when I was a child my mom often brought me to a java show theater called 'ketoprak'.

What we loved from watching ketoprak was its quaintness, and all the actors and actress played so well on their roles.

We usually went together with the neighbors, and every each episode was always busy and crowded.

One thing I remember about ketoprak is they always represent the bad and the good people in each episode. I really miss watching ketoprak.

Somehow I think watching ketoprak is just as interesting as watching a story of my beloved republic. Sometimes it makes me laugh, cry, angry as hell.... and make me mad, too. The only different is the story in ketoprak Java isn't real, and my republic is real, but both give the same reactions to me.

Just exactly like when I eat my favorite food, ketoprak. I dislike eating garlic although I know garlic has very good benefits for my health, but I hate the smell. Ketoprak has a very strong garlic taste and smell, that whats somehow make the taste of ketoprak nice and very tempting, and I could eat two portions of ketoprak. Mad, eh?

Yeah, just like I'm mad with this republic.

We know that the biggest predicament is corruption. Fortunately people commence to be taught of what has been happening in Indonesia i.e. corrupt, bureaucracy, etc. It is indeed would be a hard work for everyone as the predicament long standing since some decades, and the problems may not be solved in just a short time working.

We assuredly appreciate for those who caring away a society to fight the corruption. Their activities certainly influence other civil to speak out and courageous to take an action against corruption in the republic .

If this society genuinely wishes for the changes of either in problem such as corruption or in changing law - however, I have such a thought that the main problem is not in the new law or new people in legislative, the problem is the people's attitude in the republic itself who mostly like to have a 'dirty negotiation' in which this habituation led them to corrupt.

Perhaps, rehab is not just made only for people who have problems in drugs but also they should make specific 'program' for those 'dirty negotiators', to train them become better people legislative and citizens.

This topic will never be ended, and even so we get tired sometimes to hear the same old story but yet we still interest to keep listen and curious to see what next... exactly the same feeling when I and my mom watched ketoprak: its too much but yet we want to know how the story ended even though we know it will never be ended...because new episode will come soon again.

We're often dreaming of this republic just like the neighbor: when is it going to happen?When I share my thoughts with my very wise expat friends, they simply comment: "Because too many people selfish".

Are we?

Lets learn to be more thoughtful and less selfish so. Start from now.

I received an email from a friend of mine about a week ago. The title of his email was easy to guess by me as he usually sends some emails in concern to Indonesia. This time he sent it in titled “Embarrassing”, and it’s obvious to guess, which means it something embarrasses in regard to Indonesia.

And I am telling you it is embarrassing article to read as he himself is not Indonesian, thus I felt embarrass to myself as an Indonesian citizen, particularly the marked it the email with title “Embarrassing”.

I understood of the title he gave means to be “how could this happen?” The email was taken from BBC that informing some of corrupts stories in Indonesia.

The first story informing a man who strived to get his driver licenses, however he found it that he would not get it unless he give money to the police. According to article, he nicely asked to the police to give him the test forms, then again none of those police give the test forms.

The next story that informed by BBC is familiar with the former story which it was about corrupt in government. If you are now living abroad and reading those embarrassing articles, what would you feel or think? You might be embarrass, argue it, or not care at all perhaps?

You probably smile at this article while you reading this as you may already know that it’s not a new story, right? Corrupt can occur in anywhere and with anybody, and it’s not just in Indonesia.

If you tell me this for argument, I will agree with you, but what bother me is Indonesia is already well-known as one of the largest corrupt in the world.

The story of the guy above and other stories that I cannot write down all of those stories on this blog, they all encourage me to write mine. Please be mind, all what I want from informing this is presently sharing to perhaps we all can learn from these embarrasses stories. We all in the same boat so-called Indonesia.

It was in 2007, I drove a friend of mine to Soekarno’s airport, which was originally from Australia. In the same day we went to Immigration Office in South Jakarta for her overstay visa. She paid for four days overstay which was actually she just had overstay only two days. Wondering she had to pay 4 days, she asked me curiously: “Why do I have to pay four days?”

I myself honestly had no clue why she had to pay four days in fine instead of two days. When I asked this to the immigration officers (I still remember their name), they said it just in case if she could not go on time.

They knew already that she would go on the same day as she showed off her ticket to them, however in uncomprehending in this matter she paid the four days fine in total 80 dollars.

After she paid 80 dollars she got a kind of letter in an envelope that informed her overstay payments. Soon after I drove her to airport and waited her until she was off.

Two days later she sent me email informing what had happened in the boarding pass. She said that she had been asked by an immigration officer in airport for some money in terms of her overstay. Although she had already showed prove of the visa payment, he stubbornly asked money.

As she didn’t want to miss the flight, undoubtedly she gave straight away her left rupiah from her wallet. As soon as I finished reading it I called the immigration office in regard to my friend incident. It was absolutely peeve me off, and certainly for her.

At the end of her email, she said jokingly in bahasa: “Indonesia suka korupsi, eh?”

I know, you know, we all know.

I Love iTunes!

My iPad ^_^

I really love iTunes. I think iTunes is the most favourite application software for iPad users. No wondering when I visit a forum discussion many of Apple users discussing this application.

I have mentioned on my previous posting about problems with iTunes. Just to remind us again, if you got a problem syncing iTunes from your iPad to computer: make sure you have installed iTunes on your computer - some people don't just realise this.

Covered with my favourite colour ^^

I chose interesting or most recommend apps from iPad. Till today I have more than 15 apps installed on my iPad.

One of the best apps Apple has offered to iPad users is iTunes 12 days. This apps gives good free apps from 26th December 2011-6th January 2012. Wow! I can't away from iPad to check the offers.

Here are some apps that are installed on my iPad and given for free from iTunes:

Cold Play (music video)
NFS Shift2 (game)
Lady Gaga (music video)

Another things what I love from iTunes is the iTunes U. iTunes U is a special application made to store your favourites subjects. You can even look for them on your favourite university - iTunes have many favourite universities around the world offer for those who enjoy studying!

Until today I have installed more than five books from different well-known universities in the world, and here the top five of my iTunes U book lists:

3 Common Technical Problems on iPad2

Phuiff, new device isn't always a good thing particularly when facing with technical problems. For the past of three weeks since I bought this device I got some problems already on my new iPad. Usually, this always happens to new user, even sometimes happens to old user as well.

Luckily, the iPad user guide is very handy to solve some technical problems, but... some people just don't like reading textbook *just like me - so sometimes its not really helping.

However, you might meet a disaster that can make your iPad problems worst if you take instructions from unknown sources. It happens to many iPad users and.... almost to me as well. So ensure (even you dislike to read textbook) to look at it only on Apple site.

My problems on iPad are very common problems that usually happens to many iPad users. Here are the three common technical problems on iPad (remember to read the iPad user guide to know whats wrong with your iPad):

Bluetooth

I've been trying to connect the Bluetooth from my iPad to my notebook for hour and hour, in aimed to transfer files, but it got me mad as I still didn't find the solution! I read the iPad user guide for a while but didn't really follow the instructions, until finally I failed looking information on another sources. I then, willy-nilly, forced myself to read the iPad user guide.

And its just simply... Bluetooth on iPad is not for transferring files!

Its built to connect your iPad with other devices i.e. keyboard, headphone. First problem is solved now.

Syncing iTunes with computer

Like the first problem, I had no idea what I must do to sync iTunes with my computer. Again, didn't read the iPad user guide carefully, so I surfed on another sources instead. Well, I went to forum discussion on Apple website, but too many people gave different ideas (so a bit dangerous if you follow one of the instructions as different problems would need different solving).

And if I'm not mistaken, I don't think on the iPad user guide tells you about installing the iTunes before syncing your computer to iPad. This is what some iPad users don't really know. When I read a discussion on the forum discussion on Apple website, some users who have problem with syncing don't know about the install.

She thought that she only need the iTunes installed on the system (on iPad).

So, if you have problem with syncing iPad to your computer, then you need remember: Have your iTunes installed on your computer?

Go to website apple, click iTunes and see the latest version. Follow the instructions - it might take a bit longer. Ensure both your devices are plugged.

Cannot connect to iTunes

This is the most common technical problem on iPad user. When I Google cannot connect to iTunes, dozens websites come out about the issue. I aground on a website where iPad users have the problem with caanot connect to iTunes, and again many of them give different answers.

That's not the worst thing yet. Some people who follow the answer have found their data iPad destroy from their iPad... and I was one of them.

Luckily, not all the data has been erased from my iPad - just one application. Lesson one: be very careful taking advice from strangers.

Here are the typical answers that most people give:

1. Go to Apps store, sign out and then sign in again: I did this but didn't work.
2. Resetting the network. Go to General, resetting, resetting network: Still didn't work.
3. Disabled restriction. General, disabled restriction, enter four passcode: I forgot the password, so I left it for moment. Ten times fail entering the password will erase all your data from iPad.
4. Restore. You need to connect to your computer to restore your iPad. Go to the iPad user guide for the detail how to do it. It will take approximately an hour to restore: it worked a while for me, but then the problem appears again.

Until last night, I was able to connect the iTunes again. Whether server iTunes busy or it just sometimes problem with the iTunes - however, the problem is solved now with unknown reason.

Getting To Know iPad2

This will be my new discussion that I'm gonna add on my label blog. As I'm a new user and sometimes having trouble when using this device - so this kinda give me idea to discuss on my blog.

If you're iPad user, you might not take my writing for your solution technical problems, go to legal website Apple instead. For more information about how to use iPad please go to iPad user guide.

Apple offers different GB capacity on the new iPad, and supported with or without 3G as well as Wi-Fi. I would prefer to take iPad that has 3G. Depending on what capacity you like to carry, the one with 3G in 16GB would cost €629 (Rp 7,5 millions), and without 3G €499 (Rp 6 millions).

Considering the price isn't really much different, iPad with 3G would probably better. Its also very handy with 3G as you don't need worry looking for Internet connection if you need direction from map application.

Alright, now I want to share how to setting up your new iPad - it just takes 15 minutes to set up and its very easy!

First thing first, always read any information about the product. Ensure you follow all the instructions before you turn on/use your iPad. Too early mistake can be fatal for your expensive device ^^. Before I take the device out of its box, I was first looking for catalogue about the product.

It doesn't require the device need to be charged first (usually some notebook, phone, laptop are required to be charged for at least four hours before using it). So I carefully took the device out of its box and turned on my new iPad ^^.

Slide (with different Languages)

The turn on button located in on top of the iPad. Press the turn on button for few second, and once you turn on the iPad it will appear an instruction Slide (I didn't realize that I had to slide it so I waited for an hour ^^).

The iPad support many languages so you can chose your native language to set up your iPad profile.

Network

You will be asked for network setting. Add your network and entered the password if it's required.

Choosing Application for storing/backup

I chose iCloud to back up and store my files and media. You can ignore this by choosing the existence backup or store, like iTunes for example (I can't really remember ^^).

Setting up Apple ID

All iPad users will be asked to have Apple ID. This is will be used if you want to download any applications from apps store or some purposes.

If your new iPad has completed set up then next step is just enjoying all features that Apple offers on your iPad ^^.

Standoff By Sandra Brown

This is the first book of Sandra Brown that I'm not really crazy to read it. It was nearly four months to finished this book. In case any Sandra Brown's big fans curious about what its story about - I will give a bit review about the story.

As like in another Sandra Brown's books, she represented a female hero on Standoff story, a TV reporter who coincidentally trap on a taking of hostages in a shop while she's on the way for her holiday.

The scenery went more dramatic as it involved FBI, a daughter of a wealthy man in US and fugitives.

Even more dramatic when they found out that the daughter of the wealthy just in time to give birth - this the most dramatic scenery on the story of Standoff.

Although I'm not crazy about this book, I still enjoy reading the book.

New Year Resolution 2012

I don't actually make a plan to have new year resolution, but it come to my mind when I coincidentally put a status on Facebook, and buddy of mine alluded about new year resolution. As many people have one so it kinda influence me to make one too, so I then set it on my note iPad to have one.

I honestly don't do them all - well, I do the first do-resolution of list on the first, I think, two or three months, but then got bored very easily. I don't know how to keep going, or at least to keep it a bit longer - and I'm not sure if there people can do the new year resolution till the end.

However, I want to share ones of my new year resolution 2012 on my blog:

Slimmer and healthier

I feel like not exercising at all like two years ago, so I put go to gym often on first list of my new year resolution. Since I do diet my weight reduce 4 kg.

I'm happy enough but still not reaching to my goal. I try to do it slowly as I have been missing a healthy life for the two years.

When I talk about slimmer, I don't mean getting slimming in the cons way *taking short cut to get slimmer - so don't go crazy when you see a slimming woman on the ads: be realistic instead of taking risks.

I did that once before when my weight shockingly raised to 5 kg - the heaviest weight I ever have is 54 kg, but I felt the side effects straight after taking slimming pill, in fact that according to its script description the contains ingredient is made from herbal. Since then I try to be more careful about it. I avoid any slimming pills product!

Healthier Mind

What happens in Ireland today is very distressing life. News tells about the fall of government, and sounds hopeless.

I can say to have healthier mind in Ireland like right now is not easy thing to reach. But we like it or don't, we must face it. So I must consider my mental health into serious issue as otherwise my brain won't work in healthy way.

My first plan to have reach good and health mind is try to relax *I put too much pressure on myself sometimes about a thing - even just listen to a new, especially about bad news.

Secondly, I avoid negative people. But off course, I still be nice with them. Negative people have very strong influence even though they don't voluntarily spread their negativity, but even so just think of them make you crazy, so better no contact with them.

More active in Society

I don't like to excuse myself why I've been so passive in a community. I love being active, taking part in the community activity or organisation, but....

Here I am, in country with individual life style. Western country has different style, in everything, to...my home. I try... I always try, but somehow just a bit hard to keep positive.

Anyway, I won't surrender with the situation or dozens excuses - I must keep going.

Keep Blogging and Writing

Writing is a good way for me to express a thing, and I thing for many people too. I've been disabled comment on this blog due to some reasons, but this year, 2012, I will open it again.

I'm not such an expert in literature, but I enjoy writing very much. Not a crazy books reader, too - but enjoy reading books.

Someone said if you want to be good writer then try to be good reader.

I have more than three blogs, and I very rarely visit other people's blog. So this beginning of year I try to visit them so I can learn different styles of writings.

I hope I can do the four list of my new year resolution *and I'm not sure if I have more than that. For now, I think better if I just have little plan or few so I can see if I can do them all.

Massive Winter Sale 2011

Most everyone is excited when comes to winter sale season, particularly me ^^. Although I got an expensive one as Christmas gift from my hubby, I still can't miss this special rarely event *as it comes only twice a year!

I and my hubby has been going around two days in the town to look some stuffs. I have been reminded by him not to go crazy though ^^, and I must proudly announce it to you that I haven't bought anything for myself - I mean not yet ^^.

Apart of Stephen Green shopping centre, we have visited the main shopping centre in Henry street area. And here are our tracks for two days shopping ^^.

Arnotts

Our first plan was went to this shopping centre, Arnotts, one of the main shopping centre in Dublin. Many stuffs in Arnotts are quite cost, therefore sale season is the best choice for those who like good stuff with good price, just like me ^^.

My hubby went to look for his stuff I.e. shoes, suit, etc. I myself try to not to go crazy, so I tried to be good by company him.

Arnotts have winter sale offer starting from 20%-70% off. We didn't really went around - I went to look for parfume Dior but there was no sale for the parfume I wanted. They have sale for Dior parfume in a small package though.

The hand bags area offer good sale too, I visited the Guess, they have some bags with bargain price, but none I like, but I love the new arrivals, the cute pink color ^^ - unfortunately I can't have one :(.

Arnotts has three floors, but we just went around on the ground floor. My hubby got bored very quickly when shopping, and believe or not I do too sometimes.

As I didn't really find interesting ones so far and neither my hubby so we left Arnotts after less than an hour in the ground floor.

We decided to continue checking the following day - we off to Asian Market instead, bought my things ^^.

Film: It's A Wonderful Life (1947)

I have set my alarm on last night to watch my favorite Christmas movie, It's A Wonderful Life, on at 9.30 am which too early to watch a movie in here, specially in the Christmas day.

This movie is always played on Christmas, and as I don't have the DVD so I only have a change to watch this movie every once a year.

What a special from this movie?

Its a very special movie. If you haven't seen this movie, you can see the detail review in here.

I know this movie from my hubby when it was Christmas. He told me that I would like this movie. Perhaps he told me that as I am a sentimental sometimes when watching a drama movie.

The movie was set in 1947, old enough, but still good enough to watch, and played by an actor James Stewart.

This movie very special because its very inspiring me, especially the way I think about a life. Many of us often complain and regret what has passed or happened in our life, and we often forget to appreciate it even just a bit.

Just like when George brought by his guardian angel to a life where there was no one knew him, George realised how his life that he always regret was much better than the current life.

If you look for something good to watch this Christmas then I highly recommend to watch this movie.

Ransom

Definition ransom according to Oxford English Dictionary is sum of money demanded or paid of someone for the release who is held captive. If someone say: "you're holding me to ransom" it means you force him to do something, usually by threatening damaging action.

And its a new word to me that I got from my hubby text the other day.

Seeing its definition of ransom, it sounds a bit negative. However, ransom can become a way to get a good deal in a circumstances.... especially if you think you're always in the unprofitable party.

First thing if you want ransom someone you must first ensure you have something significant that the person has. When you really sure that the person would no way to go then the negotiation could happen as you wanted.

It's tricky, bold and a bit unkind. But believe it or not many people do it naturally.

Letter To Santa

Dear Santa,

This is my first letter to you after what all you give to me. Although Christmas is still three days to go but I got your present already and I want to apologise as I couldn't resist myself not to open it straight away *as always.

I know I often act like a child - just like yesterday when I received the present from the shop cashier, I couldn't stop smiling all the way home, I felt like winning a million lottery, and I'm sorry for not being more mature at my 35 - I just can't sometimes.

I know that you can't help yourself either not to give me a present *you said you wanted to think about it as its quite expensive but yet you still let me bought it.

I know you could stop it if you wanted to but I know you don't like to see me upset, and badly that I use it as advantage. But yet you call me I'm a very good girl.

Santa, your kindness is like a mother who loving her child.

Santa, I love you. I'm sorry for my childishness, I promise I'll try to be a good girl.

Because She Loves Me,

When I was teenager my mom used to make syukuran on my birthday, usually she made nasi kuning, the Indonesian food made from yellow rice and she decorated around its cone yellow rice beautifully. She was very active woman, a lovable woman, enjoy very much cooking and the thing I like most from her is she's very positive attitude to anyone.

As a single parent, she couldn't be dependent to anyone, she worked seven days and timelessly but I've never heard she complained of what she did. She was a very tough woman.

She taught me load of things, looking back through her past life experience, don't do that and don't this. I was bored sometimes and even didn't want to listen to her. Once we were apart I realise I must learn, learn to listen what she said.

She always told me since even I was kid, to wake up early as wake early in the morning and having exercise is good for our health. "Always tidy as a girl is also important" she said.

She wanted me to study hard so that I could have a good future. I remember when I tried to get try out, my mom warned if I couldn't get through the try out I would not be continuing study, she told me instead that she would buy a sewing for me and looking for a man to marry me.

She always had something to keeping me up so that I didn't give up very easily.

I'm yearning you - your cooking, your old advice, your nagging, your everything. I wish you were her, mom.

Happy Birthday

He's been busy recently, I mean very very busy. Well, he's always busy anyway since the crisis economic hits Ireland - and to be honest I don't really like it when he's so busy.

The problem is on me and that because only the two of us at home so you can imagine how quite the house would be if only one person in the house - especially in the big house! Our house has three floors, three bed rooms, three bathrooms, a big kitchen, a dining room and a cold-lonely living room - so I feel like in the middle of a grave when he's not home.

Anyway, today is his birthday. As I wrote on my previous posting, I meant to look for a gift for his birthday but unfortunately I couldn't make it so I decided to make a very quick cake this evening.

I've been extremely tired myself from not being slept well last night, wake up at 4.27 am this morning and couldn't back to sleep since then. I decided not to go to the gym as I'd survive to prepare anything for his birthday.

As my energy down, I didn't prepare for the stuffs so I decided to make something easy and quick: Brownie cake and pasta lasagna for his dinner.

It took less than one and half hour until everything is ready. I even still have time to posting this while waiting him.

The dinner was finished so quickly (I guess he's starving), and the cake too. We're back to the living room, as usual watching TV, and I'm fixing the old laptop myself, beside him, I must see his jumping and shouting while watching his favourite team play.

The Christmas

25th December only four days left. And Its Christmas. Since I live in Ireland just realise what its Christmas about: for Kids it means the Gift Day, for women it means Shopping Day *its always about shopping for women, anyway!, for husband it maybe the Headache Day, and for me --- I'm not sure.

So its so a special day for everyone.

I don't celebrate Christmas for sure, but the atmosphere during Eve Christmas makes me feel like to celebrate it - most people in Ireland are very Christmas, they could decorate their home two months before the Christmas; many shopping centre display the Christmas sale or the Christmas decorations; and most the TV ads is about Christmas.

As I have nothing to do on Christmas so I went look what the shopping centre offer for me. I usually like when doing a window shopping, but today when I arrives in a shopping centre, something very unusual happens to me - the mall gives me a headache instead!

I meant to look for the present for my hubby's birthday, which is today. I haven't got anything for him *he has always warned not to buy anything for him but I insist to buy something for his birthday - that due to I was a bit reluctant to go for shopping in the other day as I know all the shopping centre are very busy during the Christmas Eve and until the Winter Sale.

I hate being in the middle of crowded so there is absolutely no way to go shopping - even though on Winter Sale: how can you enjoy the shopping in the crowded?

I've decided to have something else for his gift birthday anyway.

My hubby himself hasn't done any Christmas-shopping yet. He has three nieces who are waiting for a present so willy-nilly he must buy something for them. I've reminded him yesterday to look for something for the Christmas, and he said he would do it on Tuesday *which I'm expecting something too from his shopping :).

Women In Psychosis (3): Provoke

We know most women are insane, and sadly, no scientists can know why. Here is another case of women who are inspired to write it on my Blog. I try not to judge these women, even though it's too difficult to just observing without unconsciously interfering a judgement: Don't you think all human beings like that? - like to judge other?

Anne Case

Anne was a woman in her middle age. I've known this woman since the past of four years. She likes make everything so complicated - enjoying so much talking about other people business, especially if she dislike them, she can be a very bad judge.

She dislike if her opinion is unsupported by people around her - she can stand stubbornly on her own opinion. I want to be a good friend her (trust me, I try) so I try to fix her, but unfortunately she has very strong negative attitudes that unable me to stay longer beside her.

I shouldn't be so bother about her attitude, but the other thing she has provoke attitude that could influence people. She can make up a story about people who she dislike very much - like aggravate the personal existence of other people.

She can change her attitude from like to dislike with someone and the opposite depending what she up to with the person. For example, she praised a woman who was once very close to her, one day they break up their friendship (with no reason), she suddenly change her attitude one hundreds degree toward this woman. When I ask what's wrong with her, she replied that she's not capable for being her friends.

And she starts to provoke other people by saying bad things about this woman. Even worst, she would dislike anyone who close with her!

After studying her behaviour and attitude I realise that she has a personality problem.

I haven't contacted her for ages - well, I actually avoid her as it won't be good for me. I know I study Psychology and it should be a good case for me to study her; however, that might not be a good idea and unfair to her if I do that as I really want to be a good friend.

Till I write this, her behaviour and attitude still unchanged.
