Random photos I took this summer around town.

The summer is flying by and I hope you are using your time wisely! Life has been awesome for BB and I. Really, what do we have to complain about? I’m tired of all the material things. It just leaves you to make comparisons (well i do anyway). I don’t know about you but there are so many things in this world that you’d think would make you happy. Well then what happens after you get it? It’s like a drug, only a momentary fix. In the end, you are still there. You, yourself and guess what? you’ll still have to deal with it.

So what have we been up to? We went camping upstate and flew down to Florida to hang out with my mom and dad. I’ve been drawing more. BB asked me why I don’t take pictures anymore … I really don’t know! Maybe I’ve been in a rut and I’ve needed to dig myself out because now I want to do things. I want to draw more. I want to see more clearly. I never want to stop learning! That’s one thing I know for sure!!

Here’s a quick little doodle I did by the pool side in Florida. We just got back by the way … I’ll put up some camping photos soon.

I’m always a little behind with movies but Julie & Julia finally arrived from Netflix. I watched it last night and loved it. It was very inspirational and I am sure that there are so many people out there that can relate. The ups and downs of life and trying to find the right path and having the dedication behind your dreams – it’s amazing to me every time I read, watch, or hear about success and then I’m motivated to get off my ass. Julia Child is wonderful and guess what she’s a Leo – it’s almost like I should have known!! Leo people are awesome!! BB, my best friend Despina, and my father are all Leos. Crazy! Anyways, watch the movie if you haven’t it’s fun!!

So back to my unusual Wednesday post … I am including a photographer (the first here) and her name is Amy Amanda Braughler. Definitely check out her work here. She’s been working on a 365 day project, taking a photo every single day – even when she isn’t in the mood … even when she doesn’t have time … she still makes it happen.

These are just two from an entire collection of wonderfully captured moments.

I did some screen printing and here are some shots from the session. I do everything in my little one bedroom apartment so my dark room for burning the screen had to be my bathroom. Ideas that I’ve had mentally stored and filed away are finally ready to be worked on. Here’s a little peek before introducing a new line of goods for the home. Here’s it is:

yay it’s friday!! i’m exhausted from the “job” and so happy the weekend is finally here. I plan on working on some screen printing. I will debut my new line of screened goods soon – just wait and see!! super fun :)

Some really cool vintage finds at DK General Store. Check out the selection over in their Etsy shop. Above are just only a few of my favorites, there are many more. I remember using those old fashioned skates as a kid – you know, the ones that just fit over your shoes. They were silly looking but super fun.
