Hey blog readers out there, I need your help. I don't know why but Jenn has gone crazy I think. She said She needs me to figure out who all can fit in her new bus (she bought a school bus last November) and who is going to be sold as a refugee in a child's home. I am just a one foot tall stuffed monkey (toy) how am I supposed to do all that!!! Please help....
Jenn said I have nothing to worry about I won't ever be sold, but I am offended by this notion of selling her stuffed animal collection (toys). Her creativity and imagination has given us voice, and now we're people too. It is a very prejudiced attitude towards some of the ones she's not very close with. All because she wants to downsize and move across the country exploring as she goes. The end goal is of course home to AK, after a year of exploring the continental US.
Anyway I need help to figure it out, there's no way even 1/4 of us can fit so there are going to be a lot of refugees in need of a good child to love them. I don't like the idea of money for this adoption; Jenn said it will help insure they're going to good homes. I guess if it works for kittens and puppies maybe it will work for my friends.

Updates on my life as a craftsperson and artist (Sher Con the Great Retires)

I am writing a fantasy novel. It has been going on for about a year now. I currently have 22600 words of a rough draft typed into a wattpad draft. (I'm only using it to keep track of the words - like a free version of google docs. idk. I want to illustrate it with drawings and paintings of my characters and the scenery, along with some floorplans (like for the inn and bar etc.) and maps. both city and countryside detailed and broad. I'm creating a whole world here where demons angels faith and mythological creatures are all real, and miracles happen all the time. people call it magic, it starts out sort of dystopian but I plan to weave a bit more fantasy in as I go along. I hope to make it so real that people who read can't be sure if it is real, or if it's Fantasy.

I wrote a song over the course of the 2020 -22 covid pandemic, and I only need a singer, or myself, with some background instruments to sing and record it. (I have not figured out the melody yet.) I have the lyrics published as Pandemic Faith in my book on wattpad called Random & Raw. I'm trying to update it regularly, but with all that's going on... - Personal stuff as well as writing my novel, and oh yeah trying to build out a School bus to RV conversion and film amap for youtube, and keep that going with uploads going public every week (sat @6pm) currently only has nature footage, no bus build series yet, not all filmed and just not ready to do that, I'm unorganized and can't get the hubby to commit seriously enough to have content from the build every week - Don't Fault Him He Has A Full Time JOB and the BUILD is enough PRESSURE. never mind being on camera, and explaining what he's doing.

So my Random & Raw may not get updated with new stuff (my story is priority here) but I will try to filter through all the stuff on all my blogs and include some of the best in Random & Raw which I aim to make a collection of poetry and short essays (written in different voices from this blog) and perhaps some from the painting blog. (I may revive that one too)

For now I am keeping this as my main blog, and the one I will update once a month (I hope) with new post creations. perhaps only pictures and short blurbs from my Stuffed Animal Collection characters. Sher Con the Great has become very lazy lately, and so I feel fairly safe attempting to revive this blog from under him. lol.

'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the jungle.... creatures were stirring.... and scurried about. They poked and prodded the hard frozen ground, pawed at roots, or pecked branches and trunk. All looked about for a morsel or two; 't would bring them all cheer.

'twas a cold winter night and not a cookie was left; Santa if he came would find not a snack, for in the wild jungle a lump of coal would be good for a fire and warmth. And perhaps a roast goose, or a duck would fill all the empty tummies, that otherwise starve.

Oh Santa, for us in the jungle so wide, carve not a doll or a train, but a great roast beast and vegetables for a side. Make for us a Christmas feast, and not a single toy. For us a full tummy would bring greatest joy, and let this pass to all nations blinded by greed, Santa, tell them: there are many starving children to feed. Bring them God's love, and a message to their heart, like the Grinch so long ago, Help them see the meaning of "Christmas" from the dawn of creation, to the worlds twilight end is: "To give the anointed" - our savior and friend. He paid the price for our pride and small grinchy hearts, with him in heaven we can all have parts. Um hi, My name is chi chi. I'm here on behalf of the King, Sher Con the Great, to report on the service auction I went to.
There was a great turnout, and everyone seemed to be having fun. I couldn't tell for sure as someone forgot to inform me it was a ladies only event and I had to hide in Jenn's purse! --
You should have just told them you were there on My business; they would have let you in, and probably given you a grand seat too!
Well anyway I was not informed and I'm still new to the job of being your royal messenger, so I did not know all that. you should have told me what to do to get in.--
On to the report. I listened close and even took notes on what I heard. There were many great service crafts auctioned including four of the King's "blankets" courtesy of Jenn and Becky. In fact there were so many great crafts that Becky's handknit blankets had to be auctioned in pairs. They were calling them table savers, Becky and Jenn say they're dishcloths, and Sher Con said they are blankets. I am NOT going to argue with the king so I'm calling them blankets. One pair went for $140 service $ and the other for $180. There was banana bread that went for $300 - that was good! I got some when we got home 'cause Jenn and Becky won it. Joy Rolls went for $1100. I hear those are really awesome good. A pumpkin and flower wreath went for $700 and a baby blanket for $2000. A set of cloth pumpkins for $600 and a purple hat the auctioneer won for $500.
A character hat from madebyMariel.etsy.com went for another $500 service $ but the thing that got all the bids at the end, was a snowman. I poked my head out and snapped this picture of a great mom who won it for her little boy. It sold for a grand total of $6000 service $$! (of course all of mom's friends were helping her bid).
All in all it was a great time and that little boy was definitely happy to get the snowman. Hope you enjoyed my report, if you have any questions or comments leave them at the bottom and I will try to answer as best I can, or I'll refer them to Sher Con the Great.

Stuffed Animal Collectio: Becky's Been Busy!

Hi everyone! It's been a while, and I have been busy, busy, busy! This fall Jenn and I have been making hand knit dishcloths with special designs on them! Sher Con took the pumpkin one we made first, - He called it a blanket! - Jenn is still just a little upset about that, but honestly for us stuffed animals it's big enough to be a blanket to us. But we want you to know their purpose is washing dishes. - especially the holiday ones! - Right, especially the holiday dishes. It adds a festive mood to the less than desirable chore of clean up after all that feasting and holiday cooking, (or so I've been told).
Anyway, we've been busy knitting and documenting the designs so we can show everyone how to make them, they are just so fun! We've made four so far and will take them with us to the service auction. Later, Chi Chi will report how much they went for. It should be loads of fun! Last year we took 2. A pumpkin, and a Christmas tree and both went for around 100 service $. the pumpkin was Just under the Christmas tree a little over. It made us feel really good about how well liked they were, so this year as we work, we are writing what we do.
There's still lots of editing to do, but we have a healthy head start to next years project - Holiday Design Dishcloth patterns! I'm excited 'cause we can include all the holidays and even some flower ones for spring! I love flowers, they're so tasty! - for monkeys anyway - Humans don't have the stomach to digest them, Jenn says that's ok she just likes to smell and look at them. - And draw them of course!
Well, I'd better get back to work. we have a lot more flower postcards to make before the end of the year!

Dear Friends,
Although Sher Con has claimed the pumpkin dish cloth I have made as his blanket, and has indicated that more will be made for his "Throne room" guests, and distributed to the poor at the service auction, I would like you all to know I haven't forgotten you. I have been creating patterns and detailed instructions for these dish cloth "Blankets" so you can make some for yourselves and your friends and family. Also what does not make it to the auction, will be put on sale, regardless of if the king needs them for his "Throne room". they are my hand knit creations, and no cuddly kitty, King or otherwise is going to stop me from selling MY stuff.
as the patterns are created I will be preparing to list them for sale as digital files through my handmade art and craft shop on etsy.
If you have a particular Idea, and would like to know if I could make it into a pattern, or would just like me to make it, please send me a message on Facebook, or email me with the detailed request.

He has kindly agreed to deliver news of the kingdom, and address you when I can not, regarding any new regulations, or moral reminders on the finer details of Jungle Law.
It's starting to get colder, and winter is on it's way, so I am beginning to gather blankets to my throne room, such as this very festive if not quite long enough pumpkin design.
-It's not supposed to be your blanket- it's a DISH CLOTH! -
I won't hold that against you just make the next one bigger -But... - Now off, back to work. - Sigh, Oh well. -
I will need full cooperation to gather enough so all in this great kingdom can be warm while they await an audience with myself, or my chief commander, Chi Chi.
Also some are being gathered for the poor, and will be distributed at the upcoming service auction. Chi Chi will be there as my representative and will make full report on how many were served, and if there are any more needs to prepare the kingdom for winter.
I know many of you are busy gathering your harvests, and preparing your food storage, but I would like to ask you, if you like Becky and Jenn's Flower and Verse posts, to please comment and share them, as not everyone is awake at the same time. Hello again, it is I Einstein. I would like to tell you a little bit more about myself, and the dog sled team I am part of.
A dog team will usually consist of about 9 dogs; 2 wheel dogs who have great strength, 6 runners who have endurance, and one smart lead dog with keen senses and loyalty to both the pack and man-employer. our team is somewhat different in it's configuration, and extremely different in breeds. we lack the 9th lead dog, but because of our unique difference, we don't need a lead. A man-employer usually puts a single dog at the front, and that shows the rest of the dogs that he or she has been chosen as the smartest and best leader.
Our team has small and large dogs, so we've been put into teams. One Large, one small, side by side. This allows the small dogs on the team to look to my partner, puggles, to lead them, without being terrified. A leader should not invoke fear, but respect. Puggles is a stout, little pug with a keen sense of smell and a big heart. She loves to run and is quick, which is encouraging to the other small dogs on our team.
Aside from a great leader, or in our case two great leaders, the most important position is the wheel dogs. For that Job we have Gus, and Goliath. Don't let his size fool you, Goliath is every bit as big as his name.
Chance, Floppy, Scooby and Star are all in the middle. when the team first assembled Scooby was tested as co leader since he's really smart, but apparently he's to skittish to be in front.

Stuffed Animal Collection: Mavis and Bunny End of Summer Bash Drum Show

Um, hello, I'm Mavis Dracula from the movie "Hotel Transylvania" I came to this family in a pack with my movie, and when I got to my new home, I met a really awesome friend. Her name is Bunny. She and her human pal, Joe, are a good drum team, and can play some really fast paced metal/hard rock beats. I help when I can, but mostly I like to watch. Joe's been working on his double bass speed and stamina, he can go really fast for about two to three minutes at full speed, he says he wants to go at least five
soon we'll be having this end of summer bash drum show. Bunny is so looking forward to it, and so am I. well here's bunny to tell more on it.

Alright! Is everybody ready to rock? I sure am! I'm always ready, we're getting the preparations done for the end of summer rock Bash. I've been working hard on my drumming to put on this totally awesome show of mad skill and raw talent.
On a different matter, a lot of questions have been raised about my bunny ears, mostly " what's the deal with them?" well allow me to fill you in. A lot of metal artists, whether drummers, guitarists or etcetera, have really long and sometimes big hair they can thrash about. I don't. Now I could have got a wig, but I think that would look ridiculous on me, would fly off if I tried to thrash, and I wanted something different. Something Nobody has done before, so I got the bunny ears. They stay on my head really well and aren't nearly as hot as a wig would be. Even though we drummers sit in one place, doesn't mean we don't get hot and sweaty. There is a lot of movement within our confined space. That's the reason for the ears, hope that cleared that up. Hi everybody! Summers almost over! And guess what?! we did it, Jenn and I did it! between the two of us we managed to draw every single flower in the whole jungle! There were 100's! Jenn says there may be a few winter blooms but we don't need to worry so much about that 'cause very few flower types bloom in the colder winter months. Those we can take a leisurely pace with drawing.
I'm relieved 'cause running around the Jungle drawing every day has been exhausting! But now we have all the flowers drawn, and Jenn says soon we'll be able to share them all with everybody in an e-book
I've suggested in the meantime we could share with all of you one at a time - we still have to convert our drawings to computer files - And even got permission from the king to have biweekly "Flower and Verse" posts.
Sher Con Said his people could use a little hope and encouragement as we head into winter and colder months. Whatever that means! I'm happy to share my drawings if it brings some of you springtime cheer.

excited, Jenn has already converted some of our drawings and started a "Consider the lilies Scripture Art" postcard print series on Zazzle, and says once Joe and George get them all matted we can take pictures and list them for sale on etsy! It will be so fun to see them mailed off to our Friends!

Stuffed Animal Collection: George collects Flowers

Hello, George again. It has been a while. Some of you have problably seen me gathering flowers. And no, I’m not Gay! My wife loves them, and you know I really love my wife. She has some exotic tastes, and get’s board with the local flowers all the time, so yeah, as a special treet, and a way of showing her my undying affection, I will travel long distances to collect a bundle of exotic flowers for her supper. It always makes her so happy. I love to see her happy.

There I go talking about my beautiful wife again. Um so anyway, my interests, that’s what you wanted to know about right? Ok, well, I do enjoy exploring caves, weird for a gorilla, but some of the caves I’ve been in were hard to get to, and it required great strength. Once I scaled a cliff to get to a cave that was hundreds of feet up! There was a ledge, and a rock blocking it, well a bolder really, but I could see there was a cave, so to satisfy curiosity, and give me a challenge of strength, I climbed up, with no real Idea how heavy the bolder would be. It was bigger than I was, but I moved it. And I found some flowers I’d never seen before in that cave. Do not ask me how they were growing in there, because I’m no scientist so I do not have a clue. I brought some back to Becky, and she said that it was the best tasting meal she’d had in a very long time. Very intriguing taste, and rare delightful smell.

She asked me where I got them, and when I told her, she looked at me with such awe and admiration of my strength and tenacity at climbing all that way, and then moving a huge rock, … she said she loved me. That is all the encouragement I need. For our anniversary, I plan to take her up there to show her the cave. Maybe then, she can tell you how the flowers and other plants are growing up there.

Stuffed Animal Collection: E=mc2? - Einstein

e=mc^2 Do you know who said that? It was Einstein, the Genius I am named for. I’m smart, but not quite that smart. I love to learn new things, and enjoy visiting art and history museums.

My favorite time of year is February - March, and let me tell you why. In Alaska there is a special race every year to commemorate the heroics of my ancestors. In that time, the most reliable form of transportation (in Alaska) was dog sled. It kept us employed at least! It was hard work, and the dogs on a team didn’t always get along perfectly, but they were mostly treated fair: A place to sleep, good food, and if the Man-employer had a family plenty of love from his older children.

One year in the dead of winter there was an outbreak of Diphtheria in Nome Alaska. It was January 22, 1925, when a doctor by the name of Welch sent two radio telegrams, one to alert all major towns in Alaska of the outbreak, and one to the us public health service in Washington, D.C. telling of his urgent need for antitoxin. When a dog relay was suggested, my ancestors’ man-employer, Leonhard Seppala was chosen for a 630 mile round trip run from Nome to Nulato and back.

Because of 20yr record lows across the Alaskan interior, Edward Wetzler called for all of the best Man-employer sled teams to join the relay, and travel day and night so they could quickly get the medicine to Leonhard’s team at Nulato. Because of this, many dogs of my breed have heroic ancestors who were part of the relay to save Nome. – like me many still have cousins, and siblings, or they themselves still participate in the Iditarod race in memory of all those heroic huskies.

And that is why I love this very cold time of year: Because of all the celebration of heroic deeds of Man, and his best friend – Dog.

Stuffed Animal Collection: Vinny (a mouse)

Help! Somebody! Anybody! Help! Help! My name is Vinny, and I’m trapped in a house with 3 cats trying to eat me! What’s worse, the people laugh! They’re encouraging the cats!

One time I was minding my own business, hiding under the dresser, and I see this huge hand coming at me, it was too fast for me to get away. I closed my eyes with fright! After she took me by my tail and started dangling me, I opened my eyes and found myself hanging right in front of Magick – the all black female cat. Jenn was trying to feed me to her!

At other times either Magick or her sister Spike will find me in a corner of the living room, and carry me – in their mouths – all the way through the house to the dining room. They say food belongs in this room and not the other.

That’s all I am to these cats! Food! I wouldn’t have survived this long if it were not for cats always playing with their food. They play and I escape. But I can’t seem to get out of the house, and someone always finds me again!

I wish I could go back to pet smart, where I have friends. Occasionally a cat would come by, but most of the time my friends and I were safe, and comfortable in our little “Cat Toy” bin.

I didn’t know then the meaning of the label on the bin. If I had, I would have run, and hid under a shelf somewhere, or maybe found my way to the garbage. At least then I wouldn’t end up EATEN!

Stuffed Animal Collection: Sher Con The Great!

Greetings from the king! Sher Con the great! –Applause--

I have been quite busy lately, but I have finally found some time to write to you, my loyal subjects. – a lot has happened in this great kingdom, Becky and Jenn have been driving everyone crazy – almost as crazy as they are – with their flower mania! The whole jungle is in bloom, and they’ve gotten it in their heads to draw every flower! Ahh!!! It’s madness! I’ve been running around behind them trying to convince everyone they mean no harm and that if they’ll just bear with it for a little while, the peace and tranquility will return.

On top of that entire ruckus, Chi Chi, a leopard cub, is in need of some mentoring for kingship. It is a sacred trust all felines have to be a good and wise king in our jungles, and as Chi Chi was lost, and wandered into my Jungle, I must be a good example, and teach him kingly ways. –

What else? Oh yeah, spring as most of you know is a time when all the animals sing their songs of love. – So George has been showing Becky love by bringing her flowers. – And it hasn’t been going over too well with everyone. Thankfully he has kingly qualities too, so no one is upset with him. – they’re just more frustrated with Becky – they think she’s being spoiled – I mean she goes traipsing the whole jungle with Jenn drawing every flower they see, and when she gets home every night he’s there with another flower for her to eat?! Come on!

Every so often Bunny, Joe, and Mavis plan a rock party, and that cools everybody off. If It were not for those awesome parties I never would have gotten away to write! If you haven’t been I recommend you check it out!

Stuffed Animal Collection: A letter to the King

Dear Sher Con,

You have thought me crazy because I view you as a cuddly kitty. You want me to see you as Ferocious. I am sorry, but I don’t. You are honorable, strong, courageous, kingly, and able to deal out just punishments to those who break Jungle law.

All these are good things, but they do not make me afraid of you. I respect you for them but I don’t have a reason to fear you. I know you’d not harm any who’ve not broken jungle law. I have always respected and honored the law of the Jungle.

I once watched a movie, called The Ghosts in the darkness. It was based in Africa – away from the Jungles on the plains. Two lions broke Jungle law. They hunted for sport, and as a pair. They were … possessed. There was no king to put them in their place. – Devils they were called by my kind. – Finally there was one of my kind called to aid in killing these brothers, these feline Devils. They were the definition of ferocious, and not in a good way. After witnessing the slaughter of so many of my kind, I cannot look at ferociousness in a good way. Besides – I think you possess every quality – except maybe fear – that the heroes of my kind who dealt justice in the end possess.

I have a heart full of compassion, so could never look at an honorable king like you with anything but love. And I know you love your people so I am not afraid.

Stuffed Animal Collection: Bunny and Mavis, Bestest Friends

Hi! I’m Bunny, and I get to tell you about myself. First of all, on what my mom said, I love playing the Drums. What she didn’t say is that I’m a metal head, I love heavy metal. Of course I have to get help from Joe to play with the Double bass as I’m rockin’ the snare and cymbals. When everyone found out about my musical preference, the look on their faces was priceless, I mean just the shock and awe all around puts a smile on my face. The energy and stamina of youth plays a minor part in my ability to beat the heads….. Drum heads of course, heh heh… but what really is needed is the want, the passion, the fire. The absolute desire to play. If your flame is little more than a lit match, then it’s like “eh…” but if you’ve got a bonfire that could scorch the devil himself, stamina comes in truck loads.

I think that’s enough about my drumming, now about me. I was named Bunny for a couple reasons, one is I was born near Easter, not to mention the Bunny ears on my head…. Ha ha… My mom, Becky, loves me and cares for me, and so does my dad, George.

What about your awesome bestest friend? You know, me?

I wasn't forgetting you. That was Mavis from the movie “Hotel Transylvania” I mean how cool is it to have a movie star for a best friend? Joe got the movie for Jenn and Mavis came with it. We all watched the movie together and absolutely loved it. She enjoys watching me play the drums and listening to pretty much the same kind of music as me. She also likes Gothic Rock. Of course, right? She is the daughter of Dracula. If you haven’t seen the movie, we highly recommend it. It’s a good family flick
