I am also working on updating this blog and creating a better navigation menu, but that requires more time than I have at the moment and a bit of CSS knowledge... which I am slowly learning!

I am continuing to work on photo sessions of family and children and of course weddings! Please contact me if you have a few dates in mind as I am only accepting a limited number of weddings this summer. You must reserve your date with the retainer fee payment, otherwise I can not hold your date.

Getting some wall art!

I am finally ready to invest in some gallery-wrap canvas art and some large prints of my own! Here is a photo I prepared for a larger print. I learned a new way to process my photos today from a new photographer friend I met up with today. {Thanks SO much Sandy!}. Every time I see a really great photo of these two beauties my heart skips a beat! They both take my breath away!

No sessions to post yet, I need to get back to the batch processing and process the weddings I've helped shoot in the last several months. I will need them for my new blog/website portfolio. :-)

For the past two days I have been up in the wee morning hours and have experimented with the morning light. For those of you who know me, know I am so not a morning person. But idealistically I want to be, I need to be. I want to be so that I can have some peaceful time in the morning, I want to be a morning person so that I can experience the light that shines through my windows in captures like this:

Today was my daughter's 9th Birthday and these were the flowers I got for her. Love you sweetheart!

In their eyes

I see the whole world, the future and their joy. Sometimes the simplest things make you {me} happy. These two kiddos {mine} were heading out to door to see a friend in a local production of Willy Wonka. The flower in her hair is an early birthday gift {Tuesday}. The boy usually doesn't pose, he usually gives me his hand to photograph, but he was dressed up, and excited and I am really quite pleased with what I captured here.

Sneak peak for Liz and Brian! Thank you so much for letting me into your beautiful home and grounds to photograph you and your sweet babies. I had so much fun! There was so much joy and happiness it was contagious. I came home floating on cloud nine! Here is a sneak peek from this afternoon's shoot. Secret Obsession

I need to admit something here, publicly, to all of my photog clients and adoring fans. . . I have an obsession.

A dog obsession. But not just any dog. I have an obsession with teeny, tiny miniature dogs. . . specifically the mini chihuahua. Many people who know me, know that I am so not a dog person. I've never really been a fan of dogs before. I mean they are very nice and I never want to see harm to them at all but I never wanted one. Ever. But that was before I saw how cute and shy these little mini dogs were. I mean they are sweet (and smelly), friendly (sniff-your-privates) and soft and furry (shed badly). What's not to love?

However, lately whenever I see a teeny tiny dog I get all goo-goo gaa-gaa over it, like I do with human babies. So when I saw this cute little thing at my son's tennis lesson the other day, I squealed with delight and jumped up and had to take some pictures. She was SO sweet and diminutive and was so happy to see her owner after this strange lady with a big black box in front of her face {me} came near her. She didn't let me take very many but I quickly snapped away and this one was my fav. Meet Heidi!

The Shoes, part 1

My friend and fellow photog Keith thinks I am weird, and crazy for taking pictures of the brides shoes at the weddings I shoot with him. He said to me at the last wedding, "What is with you and the shoes?!!" I laughed and gave him a look like ha! of course a man would wonder why. I said, "the shoes are just as important as the dress Keith, geez, don't you know anything about weddings?" Or something like that. Despite Keith's nearly 10 year run as a wedding photog, he is still a man and I would guess, even in the next 10 years won't "get" why a bride would want a picture of her shoes all shiny and pretty. The best part about events such as a wedding are the little details. And in my not so humble opinion, shoes, are the details. Without further adieu, I give you The Shoes:

Sweet Baby Boy

My friend dropped by for a visit and I took my camera, this sweet little bundle of contentment and went outside in the 95˚ weather. It was perfect, he loved being nekked and didn't cry once! Enjoy the pictures A and H!
