I haven't been on here FOR-EV-ER. Seriously.

My time is consumed with work, work, and more work. That is my time.

And if I'm not consumed with work, work and more work. I'm too tired to do anything. At all.

I'm currently tackling 3 projects at once.

A challenge layout with my cousin.

A mini album challenge with my cousin.

And finally, 2 sets of handmade Valentine gifts for my kids 4K class.

16 kids, a teacher, and the teacher aide. Times two. Except that, I'll be just making this for the teacher.. as a gift.. from both kids. And, a smaller version for the TA. Simple.

Speaking of that, I spend time on here when I'm at work not getting paid. :)

I'll post another post soon, with a very teeny tiny haul since I've been here in South Carolina, and the unexpected goodie package I received from my cousin.. she's so darn sneaky. haha. :)

I would post it now.

But, it's my birthday in 50 minutes, and I'm sick.

Yes, sick.

I have a headache. A stuffy nose on one side, a runny nose on the other. I'm constantly sneezing also.

Yay, me.

Has it really been 2 months since I've posted?! O_O

Wow. I've been busy with school these past 3 1/2 weeks.
I don't have time when I get home to craft - scrap or crochet.
Which makes me kinda sad, because I really do miss it!

Anyhoo, I've been working on a mini album for my cousin, Lindy.
She apparently had started one for me, and finished it already.
I have it, and still need to post up the pictures.
Or actually, takes pictures of it.
I'll probably do it tomorrow in class, lol.

Hopefully, if I can pull an hour a day, I'll be able to finish her mini album in about a week..?
But, anyhoo, I just wanted to do an update.

AND what is with all of these spam followers?! I was like whoa! 2 months of absence and I gain 20 followers?
Then I looked, and was sadden.. haha. Not really. But still.

So, when I'm not practicing nails - hint hint - hopefully I can pull out my craft and scrap.

Polka dots + Spring = <3

Do you like polka dots? I do.

Do you like Spring? I sure do.

So, I decided to put them together and create some Spring-themed cards.

Here's a sneak peek.

I'm even going to create a box to go with the cards.. well, maybe. :)

Crochet Beanie.

I was browsing around on Etsy, looking at beanie's with earflaps. I wanted to purchase one for Trinity, but after seeing some prices ranging between $15 - $40. I opted to make my own.

Without a pattern.

With just being a beginner.

The results?

I first had Trinity picked her colors. Pink, green, and purple. I whipped out my I/5.5mm hook and went to work. :)

After 5 hours, (3 hours last night, and 2 hours today) I finished.

It's not perfect. I didn't write down the pattern as I went along. Boo. But, it's somewhat decent enough for my first one. I did noticed that from round 4 to round 6 I went from 48 stitches to somehow 56? But it somehow worked. 48 stitches wouldn't have fit her. 56 stitches barely did. It's a bit snug.

I had trouble with the earflaps. I need to look into that.

I also had some trouble switching yarn. I switched from white to purple just fine. But switching from purple to pink was a disaster. Then it got better switching from pink to green, and was semi-okay from green to white.

I think I may have gotten the hang of it. But just to be safe, I'll have to look into that also.

Please, ignore the way she's "posing", she didn't care to leave her game and take a decent picture.

If you look real closely, you'll see that the earflap is barely hanging on at the ends. haha. Whoops, I didn't secure it on correctly.

To take the distraction away from that? I'll just crochet some flowers and butterfly, and stick it up above the earflaps, so no one will notice. :)

I haven't been into anything crafty the past few days. So, I don't have much to post.. hardly anything. But, I did make two cards yesterday... or it'd be considered "Thursday" technically.

These were taken with my iPhone, so sorry for the quality of the images. :)

My cousin, not Lindy, asked me to make her a Valentine's card for her boyfriend, who is overseas in Japan. The last one I made her, apparently was too "girly" for her boyfriend's taste, so she wanted a "masculine" one. The problem is.. I don't know how to do "manly" cards. So, it was a challenge.

This is the first one. See? Failed. lol. It's way too girly! But I love it, and am going to keep it for myself.. or to gift to the hubby. Shh...

Yeah, my Kraft cardstock isn't really that weird color. Bad lighting I tell ya! :)

So, I went through my paper stack, and picked out a few that I thought would work perfectly. I even pulled out the Cricut, but then couldn't decide what to cut.. This totally wasn't working. So, I put it aside, and then today (Friday) I finally just decided to give it a go.

This is the results:

Because of the lighting, you can't tell that the bottom of the red cardstock is another piece of Kraft cardstock with a border punch.

Isn't it lovely how both of the cards uses the same Kraft cardstock, but both picture differently? Sigh.. My camera died, and I was too lazy to charge it. Which btw, I'm selling in order to get me a new camera - Canon. :)

After, the card above was made. I went back to crocheting. I crochet my daughter a scarf, which btw, took 4 hours! I was too distracted with trying to catch up with The Secret Life of a American Teenager on Netflix. *Sigh. lol.

I then made my son a scarf too, with the brown yarn pictured below.

I'll post pictures later.

I'm thinking of making myself a scarf too. White, with pink, blue, green, and/or purple stripes. Maybe, I'll make my cousin a headband too.. if she tells me what color(s) she wants. ;)

Notice how the iPhone took this picture of the yarns nicely, but did a crappy job with my cards. :T And yay, for the green knitting needles that sits in there lonely, because I still can't figure out how to knit. lol.
