With all of the wedding photos I’ve been posting you’d think I’ve given up family photography. Actually, I am just way behind on blogging my family photography. As I am editing I came across Zoe’s 6 month old photography session and I had to get these images on the blog.

Denver Wedding

Part 2 of Adeel and Tania’s Denver wedding. My favorite photos are here and the slideshow with both the mehndi party and wedding celebration is at the end. There was a little snow but that didn’t spoil the day. The ceremony was held at Our Lady of Loretto Chapel, a charming historic church.

Tania was a beautiful bride.

The fabric that they hung from the ceiling at the reception was fabulous.

Tania changed into another dress for the reception.

Mehndi Party – Denver Wedding

I’ve been looking forward to sharing Adeel and Tania’s spectacular Pakistani wedding celebration with you. Since this was a multi day event and I want to show you everything I will have to split this into multiple posts. Today, the Mehndi party. This event took place the night before the wedding. It was an explosion of color, joy and happiness. The mehndi party consists of blessings, henna application, dancing and dinner and both the bride and groom attend.

Before the party began, I got a couple photos as Tania got ready.

The stage is ready for the couple to arrive.

First, the groom arrives surrounded by his family and friends carrying a colorful scarf over his head.

After the groom’s ceremonies are complete the bride arrives surrounded by an even larger reception.

The guests approach the couple and offer blessings.

The henna is placed on a leaf and then applied to the hands later.

After the ceremony the dancing began…

It didn’t take long for Tania to join the dancing.

All I can say is wow! I loved photographing Tania and Adeel’s wedding. Watch the blog for the ceremony photos next week and a slideshow with even more of their wedding story.

Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch Wedding

A beautiful Fall day and a fun couple made our last wedding a success. Jamie and Mark’s wedding was at Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch in Loveland. You’ll see from the photos what a wonderful place Sylvan Dale is for a wedding. Jamie chose a Fall theme for the flowers and I must say it was lovely. My favorite photos are here and the slideshow is at the bottom.

The wedding ceremony was held in front of the heart shaped pond at Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch.

I loved the lanterns and the beautiful orange and reds on the wedding arch. Brigitte at Floral Design of Europe did a great job.

Red Rocks Wedding: Oxford Hotel Reception

When Eric and Erin emailed to inquiry about their wedding I was in California photographing a beautiful vineyard wedding but I knew I wanted to be a part of their day. The wedding was being held at The Chapel at Red Rocks and the reception was going to be at The Oxford Hotel in Denver – 2 of my favorite places in Denver so I knew it was going to be a beautiful day. When I finally met Eric and Erin I knew we didn’t just book a new client, we just met new friends.

I LOVE lace dresses – I cannot tell you how excited I was to see Erin’s beautiful lace wedding gown and when she pulled out the lace bolero (which if you look closely you can see it in this photo) I knew she was going to be a beautiful bride.

Confirmation of my suspicions – Erin was breathtaking.

We did a few portraits at Red Rocks before the ceremony.

Eric and Erin were so much fun.

Instead of bridesmaids, Erin had 4 flower girls. I loved this photo of their matching shoes while they sat during the ceremony.

I sheepishly admit one of my goals is to make my brides and moms cry when they view the images from their wedding or family portraits. I consider it the highest praise I can get. The images touched them so much they cried tears of joy. Well a card arrived today and one of my brides just made me cry. Dave and Suzanne’s heartfelt thank you touched me and now I guess I have a new goal.

Della Terra Wedding Photos

I am so excited to finally post the gorgeous photos from Shurie and Tony’s elegant Della Terra wedding in Estes Park. We got so many fun images from their wedding it was impossible to narrow down to just a few. A couple favorites are here. The slideshow at the end will tell you more of their story.

I thought this image of Shurie’s mom helping her get ready was just beautiful.

And the helping hand balancing Shurie as she put her shoes on.

We got a bunch of tender moments between Shurie and several guests but this one with mom was the sweetest.

Pink Champagne! – it’s my favorite too…

I loved dad’s first look at his little girl.

I always try to follow my couple as they exit the ceremony. I get the most romantic photos this way. This is Tony and Shurie immediately after the ceremony.

Tony and Shurie had a horse and carriage take them away from the ceremony. The guests tossed Fall leaves as they passed.

I loved Shuries’ wedding cake from Colorado Rose Cakes. Shurie decided to display the cake up on Della Terra’s balcony.
