2011-05-08T14:51:00.005-04:00

Welcome to my little corner of the Retro Vintage Blog Train. Due to the real life roller coaster the train list will be posted slightly different this time. You can find the list of links below. Thanks to RD for asking me to be part of this unique blog train!!

Today I have for you 20 Retro Vintage Patterns created by me using the Create A Pattern Tool.

More Blog Train Links: LemonJellySimDesigns,RepulsivelyDesirousCreations,Fashionista125,Erica-Sims3Properties,AlexPilgrim,S3&Me,DebMac @ BPS,Camille,Whimsimsical,
TheTangledWebby I will add more links as they are updated.

Please note that these are created with the Create A Pattern Tool by EA and should NOT be converted into package format or they will crash your game! These are fully castable, one background and three shapes/designs. I included photos of each pattern numbered according to the file name in the rar so you can choose which ones you would like to use. Screen shots below show how these patterns look in-game.

Enjoy!

Wishing you and your family a Happy and safe Easter!! Enjoy your day with your loved ones!!

Patterns, coming very soon!!

2011-03-28T10:56:00.001-04:00

I have been working hard to figure out which way is best for me to create patterns to share! I have been working with both Create A Pattern and Photoshop and TSRW. So far I have been able to create patterns using both methods. I have run into a slight problem with TSRW and PS (getting the alpha recolor to show up in the game) but once I figure that out.....I will be creating lots of patterns, using both methods. I want to make as many cast-able patterns as I can, I like variety in my game.....but there may also be some that I can't cast, but still want to use in the game. :) Check back soon! If things go as planned, I will have a few up before the end of the week!!

I have recently made a tutorial on how to create cast-able patterns in Create a Pattern. If interested, you can find it at Living Sims Forum, where I spend most of my free time ;) Link Below.

Another Living Sims Open Challenge (picture spam)

2011-03-07T10:40:00.003-05:00

I had lots of fun with this one as well.....

Challenge was to take an original maxis house, redecorate using existing furniture but changing the styles, and adding more decor. I did the main room excluding bedrooms and baths.

First Sims 3 Pattern!!

2011-02-28T21:45:00.005-05:00

Just made my first Sims 3 Pattern!!!! I still have lots to learn, but it's fun!! Here's a peek, tried it on several things to see how it would look......found the texture in my old myspace background website folder hidden on my desktop. Not bad for less than 5 minutes worth of creating in photoshop and CAP!

Texture Site........Sims 3 Patterns

2011-02-28T09:49:00.007-05:00

I am getting the photoshop bug back!! I am thinking about taking some of my old textures and making patterns for Sims 3. Would there be any interest? Or should I just start new and fresh? I would be willing to take requests, leave me a note here and I will see what I can do!!

Click on the link below to go to my texture site......don't mind the fact that I haven't updated in a while....I plan to reconstruct the site over the next month or so and hopefully, if all goes as planned, I will be adding lots of new textures!!

I had a lot of fun doing this challenge! I chose this theme to match the paintings I used throughout the house.

Tried building my real life home in Sims 3

2011-02-20T15:38:00.001-05:00

Sims 3 build of my real life home.....this is the Master Bedroom.

.......and the Master Bathroom.

Unfortunately I lost the furnished house when I reinstalled to add the ExPacks so I don't know when I will finish the rest :(

Created a Blog Today

2011-02-20T15:18:00.000-05:00

Yeah, um, so I decided to create a blog today to post my Sims stuff on. I am so ready for spring, tired of winter so I chose to use something colorful and springy for a background. I think it's very cute! You can find some great templates from the link up there!

I've thought about setting one of these up for a while now and just decided to do it!

So.....why a blog.....well I plan to share house/challenge screen shots, maybe some Sims stories and possibly some CC for Sims 3. I have tons of textures on my website and I am considering turning some of my favorites into patterns for Sims 3. Maybe if they turn out, I can share them!?
