Today Keith, and I celebrate our tenth year wedding anniversary. Not sure where the years have gone…but here we are at number ten. Because my work week is not over yet, we celebrated with supper at MacLeod’s Restaurant tonight, and then back home to be lazy. Hoping the weather may cooperate for a daytrip together this weekend.

Keith bought me a Pandora bracelet with charms…and I love, love, LOVE it! Infact, my wish list is getting pretty long on the Pandora site, and I just may need a second bracelet [oh, maybe I shouldn't have said that outloud, I don't want to scare my darling husband].

Left to right: clip tendril pink, birthday bloom February, openworks heartfelt, birthday bloom January, everlasting love, birthday bloom August, and clip tendril champagne.

Fly free and happy beyond birthdays and across forever, and we’ll meet now and then when we wish, in the midst of the one celebration that never can end. -Richard Bach

22 years ago today I arrived at the hospital at 0700 to be induced, as my son was two weeks overdue. During labor Reggie was in distress, and we are very lucky to have him, and very lucky that there were no medical issues related to his distress. At 5:40pm he was placed in my arms and I recall my thoughts of how absolutely beautiful, and perfect he was. Twenty-two years later, I still think he is beautiful, and perfect, and regardless of his age, he will forever be my ‘baby’. I love you, Reggie…to eternity, and back…

You all know that I have been battling against time for sometime now, and unfortunately I’ve been loosing the battle. Amazing how truly quickly life passes us. Wish I could travel back in time, and hold this guy for just a few more minutes in my arms…

This’n That:

After battling with a toothache that began this weekend , this morning I visited the dentist, and pray that the filling holds, and I do not have to return for a root canal as he suspects could possibly happen. So frustrating. So discouraging.

Working on creating our menu for February, and have found a few new crock pot recipes to try; Chicken and Vegetables with Pineapple, Sloppy Joes, Turkey with Stuffing.

I finally printed out the forms necessary to request a passport, now to get this process completed. Walgreens tomorrow after work for a passport photo is the plan.

Other than the dentist, creating our menu for February and printing out the application for a passport, Oliver, and I took a two hour nap together today, which means, now I really need to put my nose in the books before it gets any later. Until next time, take care friends!

-Jenny

The Fort Jackson Museum is filled with military history, and displays. I have so many photos to share, but have decided to share via two separate entries.

Give thanks to those who defend democracy -for they bear the gift of liberty and pay for the price of freedom. -Unknown

We all had a wonderful visit with Reggie at Fort Jackson today, for family day. Unfortunately he was not permitted to leave the base today. So, Keith, Reggie, Reg, Tom, Mitchell, and myself walked about half a million miles around the base [I may be exaggerating a tad here].

Here’s a few photos from today–

Reggie, and I

Reggie, and his dad, Reg

Reggie, and Keith

Reggie, and his ‘uncle’ Tom, who came in from North Carolina

Reggie, and Mitchell

I have many, many more photos to share from today, but we have to be up early in the morning for Reggie’s graduation, and I am exhausted, so for here, I must run, and get ready for sleep. Until tomorrow…

Yesterday was a whirlwind. Worked. Haircut. Last minute errands. Home. Cleaned the entire house [first floor/second floor]…well, with the exception of the boys room, and the husbands art studio [somethings are just better left alone]. Dishes, laundry, sweep, murphy oil soap on all of the floors, put away the final Christmas decorations in the attic with the help of Matthew, and his friend, Justin. Scrubbed the entire bathroom…need I say more. Yeah, I was exhausted!

Up at 4am this morning, showered, and packed. Yeah, packing at 4am not the brightest thing to do. And off we headed to the airport…another whirlwind day…

First stop, Philadelphia International Airport. This photo is as we were descending to land.

Second stop, Columbia Airport [Columbia, South Carolina]. This photo is as we were descending to land.

Keith, and I walked around exploring for a good portion of the afternoon, visiting some great stores, and taste testing some great foods! Thankfully tomorrow my exhusband will be here to be our chapperone.

I prefer Comfort Inn [the heavenly bed is to die for, in my opinion]. But Best Western is beautiful, and clean. No complaints.

This man…not sure where to begin. Simply stated, I am head over heels in love with him…even when he has to make funny faces/and has a habit of sticking his tongue out when I take his picture.

Interested in a couple of prices?

8pm, and the temperature is dropping. It is now, 64 degrees. I could get very used to this! Unlike the zero degree temperature at home yesterday morning. Tomorrow is family day at Fort Jackson, so we have a full day ahead of us, and I have a few things to get accomplished before I call it a night. Until tomorrow, stay warm friends!

-Jenny

Time. I am in a constant fight with time. While at work I am constantly trying to juggle 101 responsibilities, and requests while remaining time orientated. When I am home I am trying to fight the clock to get responsibilities of life/school work accomplished before its time for bed [I do not fair well here due to unplanned naps after work as of lately, and the never ending procrastination on homework responsibilities].

I have officially completed Week 2 of Policy and Politics in Nursing and Healthcare. Six more weeks to go. Surprisingly I am really enjoying this class and am beginning to understand the tangled web of healthcare much better. One of our major discussions last week was: is health care a right, or a privilege. What should be a basic right, unfortunately is not, and as much as I believe that health care should be a right for all Americans, due to capitalism, I am doubtful that Americans will ever see health care as a right, and it will continue to be a privilege.

Have I mentioned how excited I am?! We are counting the days down to our flight down to South Carolina for our boys graduation from basic training [US Army]. Be forewarned that there will be many, many, many photos shared of PVT Bamford.

This morning I was able to attend Catholic services. Wow. As a few of you know, I was raised Catholic. Attended parochial school…ahhh, you get it. Due to my personal choices I walked away, and for years I have been searching for a church that was right for me. A year or so ago I began feeling like my religion was calling me, and that I had finally admitted to myself that I am Catholic and that I needed to embrace my religion. Well, this morning was just added proof that I need to get my butt in gear, and begin embracing!

Sadly, time is moving much too quickly, and I have a number of things that I have to attempt to get accomplished before I head to bed. One more day of work, and 6 days off…Until later…

Here is a peek into my world this week:

Of course, we all know that chocolate makes everything better. I have been absolutely miserable, and beginning to doubt that I will ever feel better.

Last night my daughter and I had to meet at the ER Vet to have Reggies cat, Seymour, put to sleep….always a difficult decision…

My new Day Minder for the year arrived yesterday [I had it on my list to order one prior to the New Year...[unfortunately I lost my list, and forgot]. I decided to go with a weekly calendar this year. Small enough to fit in my work bag/purse, and enough room to write in. Now to keep up with it on a daily basis.

Have I mentioned that I am pretty much addicted to Amazon? Toni mentioned she was in the mood to watch The Brave Little Toaster [at one point in my life, I swear I knew the wording by heart for this movie], I went over to Amazon, and was able to find it easily, brand new, for super cheap. Looking forward to movie night with my girlie.

The snow is falling as forecasted, and the clock is ticking by too fast. Until next time be well friends.

-Jenny

Everyone’s a star and deserves the right to twinkle. -Marilyn Monroe

Last night, my daughter, Toni, and I went to the Alamo to see My Week With Marilyn. I am not a fan of the actress, Michelle Williams but believe she did a very good job playing Marilyn Monroe. It was a great movie.

Looking across the river this afternoon. I am having so much fun playing with my new lens.

Today has been a lazy day. Other than doing a small amount of homework, and going for a walk down to the waterfront, I’ve been napping, and watching movies. Was hoping to have the Christmas decorations down and packed up today, so guess we’ll aim to complete this project tomorrow.

Hope you’ve had a great Saturday. Until next time…

-Jenny
