Apple to Apples is a favorite of ours. We play alot of party games and usually get asked by friends and co-workers which ones we like the most. d games and haven’t yet tried Apples to Apples I’ve found http://www.playyourredcard.com a good place to feel it out before comiting to a purchase.

I’ve been curious about this game for a while. The geek rates it quite well, but sales wise, it’s not been very good at all. So I’ve been hesitant of picking it up myself. Thanks for the review, I’ll definitely have to take a closer look.

The lack of mention of Settlers is mostly because I don’t enjoy the game personally. I think it’s a good game, I just have a dislike for games that involve trading. So chalk that one up to personal bias.

Shadows over Camelot is a game that I have heard many great things about, but I have never played it myself, so I don’t feel comfortable recommending it. If I get a chance to play it, that might change.

Wow. That’s a great post, with a ton of good information. I’m shocked though that you never once mentioned Settlers of Catan as a game to either add on after Carcassonne or just as a starting game.

Also, another great co-operative game that wasn’t mentioned is Shadows over Camelot.

Whew… You’ve done a lot of your own homework here. Good job bud. Not sure if I’m up the challenge of it, as my book will be much longer in the end. But doing it in segments might make the job a little easier. I love the fact that you can add in your feelings when reading your own work… having someone else read it can take away from that.

I’m not sure whether any of my ancestors was on the Titanic, but it’s entirely possible. I’m related to most of the Wittevrongels in Canada, if that helps.

I am Ingrid Wittevrongel from Belgium. My grandfather was a cousin of Camiel Wittevrongel, who died on the Titanic. My grandfather was born in 1913 and was named after his uncle Camiel, who died on the Titanic in 1912. Maybe we are family??
Did any of your ancestors die on the Titanic?
