Jerome Blanes has agreed to be the co-writer for David Cheah's book about Muay Thai Kick Boxing. The book is expected to be published the 2nd half of 2012.

David Cheah is a talented trainer who conducts classes and private tution in Muay Thai and Kick Boxing in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. He also conducts worldwide seminars.

This book has been designed for self defence and offence. In most cases when people talk or teach self defence they really only mean defence: responding to an attack with defensive techniques. Offence is seen as morally wrong by these people and therefore not part of their approach. In our curriculum we see this as hypocritical and a very dumb and life threatening opinion. Only responding and not attacking and moralistic views during life threatening situations can get you killed. In order to survive you have to attack. What is the use of disarming an attacker from his knife if you don’t know how to use the knife yourself? If a fight is inevitable, what good is it to stand there waiting for him to initiate an attack so you can respond? You lessen your chances of survival by not taking control of the situation. In our curriculum we inflict instant pain and damage to the attacker and use his own weapon against him.
