Politics pertains to the governance of a nation led mainly by the president and other political leaders such as senators and congressmen.Many educated people and even the ordinary ones are aspiring to have a position in the government. Here in the Philippines we have different types of politicians. They are what we called the "Political Dynasties, trapo and bimpo."

In the Philippine Politics, the political dynasty is vogue, there are sets of different families who are running in politics. The example of this political dynasties were the Aquino's and the Marcos'es. Until now their clans are strutting in the Philippine government.In fact, the current president of the Philippines is Benigno Aquino III who is the son of former Senator Benigno Aquino Jr. who happens to be the rival of the former President of the Philippines Ferdinand Marcos.

In relation with the political dynasties, we have another type of politicians which is known as "Bimpo." It's almost the same with political dynasties, the only difference is the father, mother or any elder member of the family who have a position in government encourages their son, daughter, niece and other member of the family to be the one who could replace them or to run as an another politician of the clan.

The last type are the "Traditional politician or simply Trapo" They are the typical type of politician who made an excessive and exaggerated action in order to promote their names. They used TV advertisement, calender with their pictures, huge tarpaulins and even their own money to buy the vote of the people.

If I will ask you, what kind of politician do you prefer? are you going to vote those who belong to political dynasties? or you're going with the trapo's and the bimpo's? for me, as long as the candidate is deserving to be in that specific positions, then I will go for them. Remember nobody is perfect, like us, most of them made mistakes. Just assess them base on their ability, capacity and dedication to serve the nation.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Social Media

Last March 4, 2013 the Colegio De Los Baños conducted a seminar entitled"Advantages and Disadvantages of Social media." The information below this paragraph are the content of the seminar.

What is Social Media?

The first thing that comes to our mind when we hear the word social media is internet (international networking). Social media is anything we can used in socialization, interaction or communication, education and even in business transaction by means of technology and mass media. The social media which is being used here in the Philippines are facebook, youtube, twitter, tumbler, linkedin, instgram, and flipboard.

Today almost all of us rely on the use of internet, people of all ages even young kids have an access in using internet services. Internet makes our lives easier and better.

The following are the purposes of social media:

Publishing
Recommending
Sharing
Collaborating

Advantage of Social Media

Social media has done a lot of changes on the lifestyle of mankind. It has different features which can provide benefits to us in order to live with convenience. According to the speaker the advantages of social media are:

Facilities open communication, leading to enhance information discovery and delivery
Improves business reputation
Expand market research/campaign

Disadvantages of Social Media

It is clear that social media bring up convenience in our daily lives. The task and other chores are accomplished easily,we can also find solution to our problem in just a short period of time. All we have to do is to click the mouse of our computer.But all of this had a drawback. According to the speaker the disadvantages of social media are:

Provide more distraction for the teachers and learners due to many different content of source
Opens up possibility for hackers to commit fraud and launch spam and virus attack
Increase the risk of people falling prey to online scam that seems genuine, resulting into data or identity theft

Social media has a huge contribution in our lives. Maybe most of us can't live without it because we consider it as part of our lives. But always remember, everything in this world has a limit, just know the limitations in using social media. Don't just look on the advantages and benefits that we can get on it, also look and consider the disadvantages in using social media so that we can prevent conflicts.

Graduation Song I Prefered

APRIL.. My most awaited moment. Why? because that month we will conduct our graduation day. Me and my fellow candidates for graduation are so excited and can't wait to see the result of our long lasting study years and hardships. I pick this song "This is the moment" because the message of this song fits for graduation day. It pertains to our most awaited moment, that moment is when the emcee calls our name and we go up on the center stage and the teachers and other staffs of the school extend their hands while saying "congratulations". THIS IS OUR MOMENT!! FOR IT'S OUR GRADUATION DAY!! this song indicates that this is our day and no one can stop us now. This is our chance to feel that we our shining like a star. All the effort we exerted, our perseverance to continue even the bad times resulted now into success.

This song is dedicated to someone I love "Lost in space" of Lighthouse Family. I love the message of this song and the melody as well. Every time I hear this song it makes me feel better.. its so relaxing and remove all my stress.

"You are the one thing that's keeps me smiling" I love this song Because every line of its lyrics fits with my feelings and personality.

The first time I heard this song.. I don't know its title. I really want to know the title of this song that's why I did everything just to find out its title. It took a long time before I found it, thanks to youtube. I just type the first line of the song and this site led me to its video and original title.

Love and Sex

Love is an intimate feeling. A deep emotion that you can give to someone who is very special for you. There are different ways on how we could express love. Some were saying that through an intercourse.

Sex is a kind of intercourse which involves two different people or set of individuals who execute the intimacy of their love through specific actions. It's the cravings of their flesh and they performed it to gratify their satisfaction.

Many people experienced sex. The question is, do we need sex just to show that we love somebody? For me sex is not the only way to express your love.

First, there our many ways on how we could show our love. We can make love letters, poems or anything we can use to express that we love somebody.

Second, your presence, attention, effort and respect are the important things and the one you love will appreciate it so much.

Last, sex is just a cravings of our flesh, it cant't symbolize love. Sometimes those guys who got already what they want left their partner on the air. I'm a catholic and I believe that I need to say the word "I do" before I show the intimacy of my love through an intercourse.

Love is an emotion.. Sex is a pleasure. That pleasure could be a love only if you execute it to the right person. " Husband and Wife".

My name is Jerome Carlo B. Cruz. I am 20 yrs. old. I live in 9565 Bangkal St. Batong Malake Los Baños Laguna. I am currently enrolled as an education student at Colegio De Los Baños. I chose teaching as my profession because I believe that education is the key for the success of an individual, a society which is populated by educated people are as shiny like a diamond. Through imparting knowledge and wisdom to others is a great pleasure for me.

My mother was already a widowed so she's the only one who takes care of me and my two older brother.. Yes! I'm the youngest child in our family. Music, arts and sports our my passion, maybe I can't live without them. My favorite Local band is Parokya ni Edgar, the messages of their songs really inspires me. Basketball.. sounds familiar huh? It is my favorite sport ever since, When I hear this word the first person who comes to my mind is MJ, not Michael Jackson, not Magic Johnson but no other than "Michael Jordan". The Legend and the greatest of all times. Obviously, he's my Idol when it comes in Basketball. I also love pets especially dogs. I have two dogs in our house. Chan-chan is the male one and tipsy is the opposite. They are both sweet, cute and cuddly. Even if somebody raise a big amount of money just to buy them, I will not sell them because I love them, they are part of my life and I consider them as a part of my family.

This year (2013) is the most complicated stage for me as a student because i'm on my way to my graduation day. You're right! This is my last year in CDLB, I have a lot of things to do and I need to give my best shot for the last time. I want to achieve my dream to become a teacher for the sake of my family and for my own future.

I guess I said it all. I'm just a simple person with a simple dream.. To live with a simple life with my love ones. TO THE GIRL I LOVE.. YES! YOU ARE INCLUDED. heheh :) Good luck to me for achieving my dream.
