Jersey Sushi - Closing!!

Dear Customers,

Regrettably I am informing you that Jersey Sushi is closing.

We will be open for business until Saturday 1st November 2008. Only one week left so get your orders in while you can!

Our private catering services including our sushi and canapes are still available but we are stopping our daily sushi service from Fort Regent.

Thank you for your valued custom over the last four years, Chris and I have loved serving you, it’s just not viable in its current format to continue.

We will miss tantalising your taste buds with our delicious sushi. We hope to again at some point in the future.

We understand sushi isn’t to everyone’s taste (unfortunately!) so we have started to provide some of our customers with a wider range of elegant & delicious canapés for their cocktail & drinks parties.

There will always be a selection of your guests who have more traditional tastes so we have started to cater for them too, give us a call to find out more about our New Canapés Menu for your next event or special occasions.

A reminder to all our customers that we use organic and locally grown & caught produce where available!

We only buy the very best fish available to us here at Jersey Sushi, from our line-caught Tuna to local Bass and mackerel, we import the finest ORGANIC Salmon from a great sustainable source in Scotland.

All the shellfish we use are caught in our locally, from the famous Crabs and Lobsters, hand-dived Jersey Scallop and the freshest ‘Royal Bay Oysters’.

We use locally grown seasonal fruit and vegetables when possible. All the eggs we use are from local free-range hens.

Choose from our wide selection of delicious Japanese produce on our menus. You’ll really taste the difference.

We make each customers order by hand to insure you receive only the best quality Sushi possible, then deliver it direct to your door.

Jersey Live 2006

Let me first start by thanking all of you who came to visit us at the Jersey Sushi stall at Jersey Live 2006. It was good to see you all there.

Saturday was a great day, even through the drizzle all day, we are looking forward to the next one in 2007.

We got a great reception at Jersey Live from all the people we spoke to, it was our first event like this so we were not sure what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised at the warm comments of the festival goers. Thank you again for making this event a success for us.

Help with ordering online

Follow our simple ‘STEP BY STEP’ guide to ordering online.

Step 1 > Register
Go to the order section, click on ‘REGISTER’ on the left hand side of the page to fill out our easy registration form. Click on ‘REGISTER’ to submit and activate your registration!

Step 2 > Add items to your lunchbox
Select dishes from our menu by clicking ‘ADD TO LUNCH BOX’, confirming quantity as go you along. You’ll notice the total of your order accumulate in your lunch box.

Step 3 > Confirm order
When you’re done ordering, press ‘CONFIRM ORDER’ in your lunch box. At this stage you’ll have a chance to remove any items you don’t want or change the quantity.

Step 4 > Place order
Hit ‘PLACE ORDER’ when you’re ready to submit. We’ll call you back within 10 minutes to take your payment details and schedule your delivery.

Customers who order from Jersey Sushi on a regular basis will benefit from ‘adding to your favourites’ and checking out your ‘order history’.

Famous chef tastes sushi

A selection of Jersey’s finest eateries competed against each other in the style of BBC cookery program ‘Ready Steady Cook’. The competition was hosted at the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust in Trinity, which was also broadcasted live on radio Channel 103fm. The chefs were only able to use ingredients grown from the Organic Farm, which produces all the food for the animals at the zoo. The competition was judged by Marco Pierre White, honorary director of the Durrell Conservation Trust Lee Durrell and Mick Balleine from the Durrell Wildlife Organic Farm.

Martyn and Chris represented the chefs from Jersey Sushi. Martyn commented, “It was fantastic to be selected for this competition as we’ve only been trading for such a short while. It was great to compete against The Atlantic Hotel, The Grand Hotel, Wayside Cafe, The Salty Dog, and Longueville Manor. Naturally I’m used to cooking under pressure, but not with a live audience and radio commentary around me! I hope that everybody who tasted my dish enjoyed it as much as I did cooking it.”
