I have added Custom Framing to my Creative Memories business and I am truly excited. Their framing quality is second to none and so is their pricing. I have had 2 items framed by them and they came out fantastic. My kick off party went ok. I only had 3 people attend, but so far I am up to 7 orders. I decided to have a Disney limited edition picture framed as well. I should be able to make back the money I spent on the kit. That way, from here on out, everything is profit. So, if you have something you need framed...come on over or I can come to you (within reason of course). If you are too far away, you can mail me your item and we can work together remotely. I promise you, you won't be disappointed.

I have a lot of exciting news to share with you. First, I'm thrilled to let you know that I have added Custom Framing to my Creative Memories business. I will be having a kick off party toward the end of the month after I receive my kit and I am inviting everyone I know. So, pull out those photos that you have been meaning to get framed and get ready to cross something off your to-do list. I have had 2 items framed by CM and they both came out beautiful. I am so very excited to be offering this to my customers.
Next, you can now create and order Wall Prints from the CM Photocenter. They come in 2 sizes and a number of themes. Check out the website www.cmphotocenter.com to see how great these are. Don't forget to enter my CM ID# 61493832.
Third, I received the new products for May and I love everything in the box! There are some fantastic new Disney items - including a new true 12 x 12 cranberry album with an adorable Mickey Mouse sitting on the bottom of the album and a 12 x 12 Disney album kit with some really cool stickers and paper. There are also some beautiful power palette additions for the summer, birthdays and traveling. I will be taking photos of all the fantastic new items and posting them below.

I had posted about a give away and did not want to disappoint. CM has a new tool out - Tearing Tool - I will be getting mine at the end of the week. I am VERY excited to try it out. I have seen people use the tearing technique before but have been afraid to try it - worried that I would ruin the paper. Not everyone likes change, but I LOVE it. Creative Memories is making TONS of changes this year and I am very excited about them. If you are interested in knowing what it going on, here is the email I sent my customers this morning:

1. Biggest change: TRUE 12 x 12 albums, pages, page protectors and papers! Yup, that's right...starting this month the albums, pages, page protectors and papers will be a true 12 x 12 size. The company made this change to keep with industry standard and make it easier for the customer. However, keep in mind that the new pages with still fit in the old albums and vice versa. I've seen the new items and visually you can not 'see' the difference. CM is not discontinuing the sale of the old pages or page protectors for 18 months. So there is time.

2. New Album size! There will be no more 7 x 7, and 8 x 8 will take it's place.

3. New Album colors! Starting in March, new colors will be added to the Ruby, Cobalt, Chocolate and Ebony shades already available. They are: tan, lavender, pine and blue. These new colors coordinate with the new Power Palette Systems.

4. New Power Palette Systems! The Power Palette Systems will be available in 12 x 12, 8 x 8 and Digital. You will be able to purchase the 'foundational' palette and add on additions and kits. The 12 x 12 pieces can be purchased as a system or a la carte. The additions are for minor themes (seasons, sports, etc) and the kits are for major themes (wedding, travel, etc.). Available in March will be Earthy, Jewel, Primary and Pastel systems. The 12 x 12 each include: 16 tone on tone papers, 16 print papers, 96 photo mats, 3 sticker sheets, 4 title sticker sheets and an idea book for $40.50. The 8 x 8 include: 24 printed papers, 24 photo mats, 2 title sticker sheets, 3 sticker sheets and an idea book for $17.50. The additions for $9 each will be: Primary Spring, Pastel Spring, Pastel Her, Primary Easter, Spring Jewel, Spring Earthy and Easter Jewel. They each include: 4 papers, 8 photo mats, 1 title sticker sheet and 1 sticker sheet.
**The digital pricing is different.

5. Additional Picfolio Max Albums & Milestones Kits! Perfect for those without a lot of time, the new 12 x 12 and 8 x8 red or black albums will be available in March as well as the Milestones kits with the same themes as the Power Palettes.

6. Album Identification Charm! I LOVE these. They are available in gold or silver for $10 each. It is an adorable way to identify who/what an album is about. You can choose to put a picture in the frame or write something on a piece of paper and frame it.

7. New Page Prints! Now you can create a 12 x 12 or 8 x 8 page digitally. Print it through CM photo center and put it in an album or one of the new frames!

8. New 16 x 16 or 11 x 11 Page Frames! I am VERY excited about these. Now when you create a page print that you LOVE you can frame it! Choose a 16 x 16 frame with a 12 x 12 opening or 8 x 8 opening mat or an 11 x 11 frame with an 8 x 8 mat opening. You can choose a black, white or mahogany frame and a black, white, cream, olive or chocolate mat to go with it. The quality of the frame is the same high standard as the Framing pieces CM offers. Your frame also comes with a Story Card to keep on the back on the frame so you can journal about your page print. The cost is $89 for the 16 x 16 and $69 for the 11 x 11.

9. New Tearing Tool! This looks so cool and Melissa got to use it and loved it. This item is double sided to give you 2 tearing options. Perfect for those that want to give their pages a cool new effect. The cost is $10.

10. New Vellum Expressions! In time for Mother's and Father's Day, CM has Expressions of Him or Her. Each contain 30 quotes. They are $7 each.

11. New Paper Albums! Adding to the Mom and Dad's Day theme, there are 2 new paper album kits. Him or Her. Each are $15 and come with an envelope - perfect gift idea.

12. Customer Appreciation! CM has added some new items to the Memory Keepers Club and Hostess Reward Program. Contact me to see what you can earn for free today.

New Camera

I am a big fan of digital cameras - but not of the length of time you need to wait between taking pictures or the way light can ruin your shot. There have been many an opportunity past because my camera was not ready and the shot was missed - especially with small children. Many other photos have been deleted because they are so dark you have no idea what they are of - in the case of church weddings. Lately, I have been thinking and researching digital SLR cameras. I do know that they are pricey, but I also have seen many gorgeous photos taken with them. As far as I have read, they will take care of the 2 issues I listed above. Every digital camera I have purchased in the past has been a Sony, so I am leaning that way - but have seen some great deals on Nikon and Canon. If anyone has an opinion they would like to share with me, I'd LOVE to hear it.

Guilt and Clutter FREE

Yes that is right. I can help you in both areas. As I blog, my son is 4 years old and in pre-school 3 days a week. That equates to a ton of paper and projects being brought home. Each one is very unique and when this began last school year (2006/2007) I would not throw anything away. Well, by June I had accumulated SO much 'stuff'. I piled it on top of the TV stand in the basement. Then the guilt set in. I kept thinking I should display it, so I put some items in frames. Then I ran out of frames. I was about to cry, when I had an idea. I ran upstairs to get my camera. I took a picture of each and every paper/project. Uploaded the photos. Created a digital scrapbook. Threw out the actual paper/project.

Now everyone is Happy! No more clutter and no more guilt! In it's place is a beautiful scrapbook full of David's 3 year pre-school projects that he and I can enjoy for years to come. This June I will repeat these actions and we'll have a 4 year pre-school project scrapbook as well.

Want to do the same for your child? I'd be happy to point you in the right direction.
