Miracle War Story - Zvika Greengold

With every war Israel fights, miraculous stories from the battlefield emerge. Even now, we are beginning to hear stories from soldiers who fought against Hamas in Gaza.

I have been in Jerusalem since December 31st attending a special course with the International School For Holocaust Studies at the Jerusalem Museum at Yad Vashem. While I was here, war broke out, and many I know were directly affected with relatives called into active duty. Last week, our class took a tour north and while we were on the Syrian border, our Professor, Ephraim Kaye informed us that while he was stationed on the Golan Heights during the Yom Kippur War (Six Day War), he came to know Zvika Greengold - the miraculous soldier who became known as the "Zvika Force." To my surprise, Zvika's story appeared today in the Jerusalem Post. As we stood on Mount Bental Wednesday, overlooking the Syrian border, Professor Kaye related his story to us.

Born on the Ghetto Fighters Kibbutz Lohamei Hagetatot to parents who survived the war in Europe, Greengold found himself on the front lines on the first night of the Yom Kippur War in 1973. Three surrounding nations attacked Israel on the most holy day of her yearly cycle. The surprise however backfired on the attackers. Israelis do not travel on Yom Kippur but stay home as it is a solemn event. Had the attack been on any other holiday, when Israelis travel out of the country, the outcome could have been disastrous.

FORCE ZVIKA
On that night, Greengold found himself on the front lines blocking a Syrian tank column in the Golan Heights – completely alone. The Syrians did not know that his tank was the only one blocking them. Over the radio waves he kept referring to himself as “Force Zvika.” The enemy mistakenly thought him to be a battalion.

Zvika, found that he was now standing between his people and annihilation, again. Fierce battles raged all night, Israeli reinforcements came but were all quickly taken out by the Syrians. Greengold was wounded but commandered a tank and hours later took out the last Syrian tank. He was awarded the country’s highest honor.

Zvika’s parents survived the Holocaust as Warsaw Ghetto Fighters. The kibbutz where Zvika was born was founded by Ghetto Fighters and is the site of one of Israel very first museums to Holocaust survivors. However, the museum focuses on those who resisted the destruction of the Jewish populations of Poland.

Today’s Jerusalem Post story is that Zvika has stepped into save Ofakim, a city terrorized by Gaza’s terrorist bombings. Not as a soldier this time, but as Ofakim’s mayor. With the command of a General, Greengold took charge and gave the small beleaguered city hope and direction. Solving the problem of a lack of bomb shelters, Greengold had huge concrete water pipes brought and painted with cheery children’s murals to serve as makeshift bomb shelters.

Greengold sees this Negev desert town as the future as Israel’s transnational highway is scheduled to connect the ‘outback’ with the rest of Israel. Ofakim will be on the map very soon and joining the rest of Israel as a major employment opportunity.

War with Hamas in Gaza

I am presently in Jerusalem for the month of January taking an educator's course at the International School For Holocaust Studies at the Jerusalem Holocaust Musuem Yad Vashem.

In preparation for this special course at Yad Vashem over the last few weeks, I have studied in depth the attitudes and philosophies that laid the groundwork in Germany and Europe for the Holocaust.

Generally, a sign of the gravity of the situation is when Christine Amanpour of CNN shows up at your airport. She did show up in Israel and later met with Tzipi Livni, the Israeli Foreign Minister, for a face-to-face interview.

Amanpour can be daunting and direct. She asked Livni, “When will Israel stop this attack?” Livni didn’t miss a beat, and with no beads of sweat announced matter-of-fact to Amanpour,

“This time, we will finish the job and there will be no more rockets from Gaza.”

In Amanpour’s questioning, I recognized the same conditioning stance as the German media machine under Goebbels. Nazi’s didn’t just rise up one day and slaughter all the Jews. Careful conditioning of the public to view the Jews as different, aggressive, agitators, and most of all dangerous to the peace of the Aryan people laid that foundation. By the time the meeting at Wansee took place to detail the Final Solution for the Jewish question, all the indoctrination had taken place and the German man on the street was ready to be rid of the problem makers. Germany’s dire economic situation at the dawn of the power grab by Hitler seems to have an echo in our own world economy right now. I hate to think that the time is ripe for the media to paint a horror picture of the Jewish people that will be accepted by the nations in which they reside. All the elements are there. The next weeks here in the Memorial to the six million Jews who died in the Holocaust, I plan to grasp a way to make this repeat of history clear to all who will listen.

One of the halls is a cone of photos and testimonial documents floating over a 30ft deep pit with a reflecting pool below. This halls is flanked by volume after volume of testimonies, more than two million to date.

At sunrise on New Year's Day, only hours after my arrival back in Israel, I made my way to the Western Wall as has been my custom for about 15 years. There I prayed and left behind names of family, friends, and soldier's now in Gaza which has become the frontlines defending the citizens of Israel from rocket attacks from Hamas terrorists.

I continue in my course day after day at Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum hearing Hebrew University professors teach us the lessons of the Holocaust, the dangers of anti-Semitism, and testimonies of Holocaust survivors, all the while the battle to defend the Jewish homeland from her enemies rages around me. Let us continue to pray that disaster will be averted for Israel.

UN "Condemns" Israel, Again

Once again, Israel has had to take measures to protect her citizens against the daily barrage of rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip into Israeli cities and towns. For years now, Israel has showed "restraint" with these attacks, imposed by the nations of the world. And, we heard little in the news of the statistics of the attacks by Hamas against Israel. After warning the Hamas leadership for weeks - even months - Israel finally took action this week, and is actively engaged with the intent of destroying the terrorist infrastructure of Hamas, who also hold the citizens of the Gaza Strip hostage under their harsh Islamic rule.

UN Reputation On The Line Again
In a middle-of-the-night meeting early Sunday morning, however, the United Nations Security Council met to express its "concern" over Israel’s violence in Gaza. United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon firmly reiterated “Israel’s obligation to uphold international humanitarian and human rights laws and condemns excessive use of force leading to the killing and injuring of civilians.”

“Condemns" is the operative word from Ban Ki-Moon.

This led me to an experiment. Searching the web under the heading, “UN condemns Hamas.” I found virtually nothing. Doing the same search under the heading, “UN condemns Israel,” I found long lists of UN condemnations of Israel stretching back decades and further.

The validity of the United Nations to speak in a fair and balanced manner has long been undermined by just this kind of prejudiced mode of operation. The middle-of-the-night meeting was called under pressure of several Arab nations led by Libya, the Arab representative of the Security Council. This is indeed embarrassingly telling!

Israeli Ambassador to the UN Prof. Gabriela Shalev (above) was, once again, forced to explain why Israel’s actions were fair and just. For some unexplainable reason this august world council cannot see Israel’s plight (and her necessary response to it) in the same light that they see Gaza’s human rights possibly being violated. Ban’s condemnation is a transparent double standard. The excessive force that might kill or injure civilians does not take into consideration that Hamas terrorist militias use civilian shields, civilian residences, and Islamic places of worship for the very purpose of drawing Israeli fire, reminiscent of Hizbollah tactics in Southern Lebanon in the war with Israel in 2006. There is no retaliatory strike that Israel could do that would not place civilians in danger because of Hamas militia’s operational standards. However, it is rarely mentioned that literally hundreds of rockets have been launched into Israel’s civilian towns since the Israeli disengagement from Gaza, giving the Palestinians the land in exchange for peace.

Never has one Hamas rocket found its way to an Israeli military target.

United Nations Security Council condemnations should be aimed at the following:

Iranian-backed and supplied rocket attacks on civilian targets inside Israel proper.

Summer camps in Gaza used as terror training camps for children.

Children’s TV shows that glamorize becoming a suicide bomber.

Plagiarizing Mickey Mouse as a Jihadi freedom fighter and Jew-hater.

Calling publicly for the destruction of another nation (Israel) in many venues.

Hamas’ National Charter that calls for the destruction of Israel.

These kind of sessions serve to delegitimize the United Nations as a valuable organization. How is it that such blatant arm-twisting can continue without the UN being held responsible by other nations?

The Arab bloc is a powerful force in the UN.

Its fingerprints can be found on each UN condemnation of Israel in the long list mentioned above. Is it possible that a leader could ever arise that would put a stop to Israel being made scapegoat in an international forum?

A House Divided?

EDITOR’S NOTE:
The focus of this update (or “publication”) will always be on Israel, directly or indirectly. Much of the time, Western politics has little to do with Israel, but when those political agendas have implications on the security of Israel as a nation, we will be reading between the lines and reporting important facts that may not be evident at first glance.

A HOUSE DIVIDED?
There are already serious rifts between the upcoming administration of President-Elect Barack Hussein Obama and the leadership of the black constituency that one would think should be supportive.

Jesse Jackson’s alligator tears, caught on camera, at Obama’s acceptance speech may not have been joy at the historic moment. In light of Jackson's hair-raising comments, they may have been simply because he himself wasn’t the new President Elect. Jackson has been a man with an inordinate ambition for power for years.

Speaking at the First World Policy Forum in Evian, France, Jackson promised “fundamental changes” in U.S. foreign policy. In his normal, “rushing in where angels fear to tread” manner, Jackson said the most important change would occur in the Middle East, where “decades of putting Israel’s interests first” would end.

“As long as the Palestinians haven’t seen justice, the Middle East will remain a source of danger to us all.”

In July, speaking to a fellow interviewee without realizing his microphone was on, Jackson made remarks that cannot be printed here in a wholesome publication. Not only did he call Obama a "no good 'n'-word," but spiced it all up with four letter words, and a loose-lipped colloquialisms about castrating Obama.

A RAY OF HOPE?
In a surprising appointment that flies in the face of Jesse Jackson’s assessment about Israel and Zionists, President-Elect Barak Obama has installed Congressman Representative Rahm Israel Emanuel as White House Chief of Staff. Emanuel is not new to politics but has served in several past administrations and was aiming to be Speaker of the House.

“Rahm is really smart. He understands that if Obama goes too far to the left, it’s not going to be good for the Democrats.”

"Rahm is really smart," Republican strategist John Feehery said. “He understands that if Obama goes too far to the left, it’s not going to be good for the Democrats. I think he’s the kind of guy who can knock some heads together and help Obama guide the Congress toward the middle. I think that will be the goal. You will need a bad cop to Obama’s good cop, and Rahm will fill that role quite nicely.”

Emanuel’s policies, unlike his politics, have always been centrist. In addition, a different Emanuel has emerged in recent years, one who has forged friendships with Republicans and has shown an ability to work outside his own party.

The conservative right’s wary attitude about Obama was not about race. To have an Afro-American as President is indeed a historic event. However, other political undercurrents and associations were the fly in the ointment. Will those associations steal the glory of this Afro-American victory?

Let’s carefully watch Obama’s historic first hundred days in office. Will he disappoint Afro-America?

The Great Deception

THE GREAT DECEPTION
Islam is going to great lengths to make Westerners believe that Muslims and Christians have common spiritual heritage in Jesus. This pressure from Islam is forcing Christians to become acquainted with Islamic theology to defend their own faith. The danger is to take a Muslim at his word, when he states that he too, like you, believes in Jesus. An uneducated response to that is not going far enough to uncover the real spiritual fork in the road. That division is of such magnitude as to fall into the category of ‘damnable heresy.’ However, very few Christians can speak with knowledge on the subject. It is not because the information isn’t available. The web site below is one of the very best web sites I have come across, technically speaking. Its sole purpose is to make Islam palatable to the Western mind. The deception is easy to spot for one who knows the Bible, but what about marginal Christians? The danger is clear. The web site displays a tab called, “Jesus in Islam.” The following are excerpts from that subject tab show you what Muslims actually believe about Jesus.

“For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect -- if that were possible” (Matthew 24:24).

WAMY (Islamic Website): Jesus is simply a messenger of God
“The Qur’an speaks of ‘the Gospel’ (Injil) as a Scripture revealed to Jesus by God, from which he preached, like the Torah of Moses. “It is clear from early Christian history as well as modern Biblical studies that this original Scripture has been lost forever, and the fragments that remain in the form of various gospels have been so corrupted that they no longer inspire confidence. “The Qur’an, which was revealed partly in order to clarify points that had been misunderstood by previous religious groups, paints a brief but clear portrait of Jesus as Messenger of God. “Responding to the views of an early Christian sect known as ‘Adoptionists’, who believed that God had ‘adopted’ Jesus, the Qur’an says: ‘It does not befit (the majesty of) the Compassionate God that He should adopt a son. There is none in the heavens and the earth but shall come to the Compassionate One as a servant.’ (Q. 19:92-93) (The inference is that Jesus is no more than a servant of God.)”

“The Qur’an further cautions: ‘O People of the Scripture, (Jews and Christians) do not exaggerate or go to extremes in your religion, or say anything about God but the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, was no more than an (honored) Messenger of God, and His word that He imparted to Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in God and His Messengers and do not say, ‘Three (in One).’ Cease, for your own good! For your Lord is One God; Glory be to Him – (He is far) above having a son! All that is in the heavens and the earth belongs to Him. And God is Sufficient as Guardian (of the affairs of the universe). The Messiah would never scorn to be a servant of God, nor would the angels who are near (to Him).
. .'" (Q. 4; 171-2).

Islam’s Invitation
Not lunacy . . . It's Islamic Tradition
President Bush received a letter from 138 notable Islamic scholars inviting him to lead Americans in what adds up to conversion to Islam in that we would agree on what they call, “A Common Word” between us (http://www.acommonword.com/). It's a quote from the Qu’ran threatening Christians and Jews. Twenty-nine pages of text boils down to the same message: There is none beside Allah. We (Christians) are being invited to proclaim that along with them - a theological impossibility. Ahmadinejad himself sent President Bush a letter of the same nature two years before. Most Americans chalked this up to a mentally unstable Iranian leader, however, Muhammad himself began this tradition. Letters were sent to infidel villages to embrace Islam before they were destroyed should they choose not to submit to Allah. I don’t imagine us close to destruction, just close to confusion on the issues that separate Islam’s Messiah and Islam’s Jesus of Mecca from our Messiah, Jesus of Nazareth.

Matthew 24 : Jesus Reveals Himself
Islamic depictions of Jesus’ Second Coming bring Matthew 24 and the warning right up to our daily news. Islam teaches that the Mahdi will come out of hiding and that he and Jesus will come together. "Jesus will appear to a group that will be righteous at the time and comprising of 800 men and 400 women. The people will be preparing for war at the time against the anti-Christ (they call him al-Dajjal)." It will be time for Fajr prayers (the night prayer at 12:58), and Imam Mahdi (the Islamic Messiah) will be the Amir (leader). From the darkness of that dawn, a sound will suddenly be heard that “one who listens to your pleas has come” -- the righteous people will look everywhere and their eyes will fall on Jesus. “Jesus will appear near the Minaret in Damascus close to the Mahdi. At that time the Mahdi will lead the prayers. The Mahdi will call Jesus to lead the prayer, but he will instead tell Imam Mahdi to lead the prayer (Jesus is considered lower than Muhammad). Thus the Mahdi will lead the prayer, and Jesus will follow him. After the next round of prayers, Jesus will announce: 'Allah has killed Dajjal and the Muslims have risen.'"

The Holy Spirit : This Sin Will Not Be Forgiven Men
Islamic commentary on John 14 and 15 seems to me to be as close as one can get to blasphemy. However, I am not God and am not judging, but I am exposing the theology for followers of Jesus that they might be equipped in these latter days to “give an answer to every man” with an educated advantage.

Islam says: “Jesus himself told of the coming of the Prophet Muhammad. In the Bible, Jesus says, "If you love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray to the Father and He shall give you another Comforter that he may abide with you forever." (Bible, John 14-15/16) "But when the comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of Truth, which proceeds from the Father, he shall testify of me, and he also shall bear witness, because you have been with me from the beginning." (Bible, John 15-26/27) "I have yet many things to say unto you, but you cannot bear them now. How be it when he, the spirit of Truth will come, he will guide you into all truth, for he shall speak not of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that he shall speak, and he will show you things to come. He shall glorify me, for he shall receive of mine, and he shall show it unto you." (Bible, John 16-12/14)

“Scholars in Islam have said that the person who is described in the above verse does not comply with any other person but the Prophet Muhammad. The “person” whom Jesus prophesied would come after him, is called Pargaleeta [sic] in the Bible. This word was deleted by interpreters and translators and changed at times to “Spirit of Truth” and at other times, to “comforter” and sometimes “Holy Spirit.” The original Greek and its meaning is “one whom people praise exceedingly.” The sense of the word, then, is applicable to the word Muhammad in Arabic, since Muhammad means “the praised one.” The crucifixion of Jesus is denied as well as his sonship. The Qu’ran states: “They slew him not, nor did they crucify him but it was made dubious to them” (Surah Nisaa, Verse 157).

No Millennium : Jesus of Mecca’s Marriage, Death and Deputies
Islam ends Jesus’ life, not in a heavenly kingdom and a millennium of peace on earth, but in marriage and death. “After his appearance on earth, Jesus will marry. He will have children, and he will remain on earth 19 years after marriage. He will pass away and Muslims will perform his burial ceremony and bury him next to the tomb of Muhammad.”

So, our biblical Jesus has been hijacked, demoted, humanized and laid to rest beside the other dead prophet, Muhammad. It is time to educate ourselves on the looming darkness spreading itself over the earth. Many say it is too late for Europe and are warning us to wake up.

Most Christians I speak with on this subject are dismally uninformed. However, once informed, their outlook changes instantly. There is no other religion in the world declaring internationally that they will dominate the earth. There is no other religion in the world that has Scripture to back the murder of those who don’t agree with them. There is no other religion in the world that declare until moderate Islam stands up and declares that Islam must be reformed, those who know the tenet of the religion must declare that they will never submit to a “Common Word between us.”

The Arrival of Whose Messiah?
"The Capital of Islam in the West." That’s how Elijah Muhammad, leader of America’s Nation of Islam branded the city of Chicago before he died Feb. 26, 1975.

Louis Farrakhan, the present controversial leader of the black American movement known as the Nation of Islam, and successor of founder, Elijah Muhammad, just rededicated a Mosque on Chicago’s South Stony Island Avenue to Jesus’ mother Mary. The religiously muddled program tied the event to Yom Kippur of the Jewish Calendar, and sounded the traditional Jewish shofar as a call to prayer (done only at Rosh Hashana). The Ave Maria was sung and the Hallelujah Chorus was performed as a benediction.

Even if one overlooks the eclectic muddle, it all seems laughable in light of Elijah Muhammad’s comment on Christianity and Farrakhan’s comments on Judaism:

“Regardless as to how long and how hard you try to be a good Christian, you never have a sincere true love for your own black brother and sister as you should. Islam will give you true brothers and sisters the world over. This is what you need.”

In spite of Louis Farrakhan labeling Judaism as a “gutter-religion” he included a very famous section of Israel’s Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) in his program, the Kol Nidre ceremony. This haunting dirge was a Jewish heart-cry for God’s forgiveness when they were forced to convert in Spain’s Inquisition in the 1400s.

Elijah Muhammad’s political-theological view of America should be alarming to us. And, these ideas are still espoused by Louis Farrakhan today. Elijah said:

“God is drying America up by degrees. The time is at hand, and hell is kindling up. Islam is the right way.”

This strange theology has been growing since 1930 here in the USA. The group believes that “Allah (God) appeared in the Person of Master W. Fard Muhammad, July, 1930; the long-awaited “Messiah” of the Christians and the “Mahdi” of the Muslims.”

But, history of the N.O.I. aside, our current presidential race has brought much to light from the dark corners of the organization. Farrakhan gave a speech in which he hinted at the Messiah (Mahdi) calling forth the youth of the world to open their ears to his (their Messiah) message. This, by the way is an earmark of the coming of the Islamic messiah figure, the Mahdi.

“The Messiah is absolutely speaking!” Farrakhan declared. This statement came on the heels of noting that Obama had galvanized the black youth of America into a political entity who were not interested in politics beforehand.

Another euphemism for the Mahdi, Islam’s Messiah is the “Hope of the Entire World.” Farrakhan spoke of Obama in those glowing terms - a slippery title which serves as a code word for Muslims, but could be denied to be just a glowing assessment of one’s potential should a strong challenge arise.

In his first major public address at the dedication of the Mosque Maryam, Farrakhan said that Obama is the “hope of the entire world” and that the U.S. will change for the better. He added, “A black man with a white mother became a savior to us,” speaking of the Nation of Islam’s founder Fard Muhammad in 1930, “A black man with a white mother could turn out to be one who can lift America from her fall” he added, likening Obama to the N.O.I. founder.

Muslims believe in Jesus, but Which One?
Iran’s President Ahmadinejad, for the first time ever, told this years UN General Assembly that the Mahdi would soon come and that when he did, Jesus would come with him. Islam’s Jesus, is not Jesus of Nazareth, he is Jesus of Mary of Mecca. Let this page of Farrakhan’s program speak for itself.

“This mosque is named after Mary, the Mother of Jesus. She is given great distinction and honor in the Qur’an because she gives birth to the Messiah who carries the indwelling spirit of Allah, manifesting Allah’s presence, which allows Jesus, the Messiah to do that which no prophet or messenger did before him. He gives sight to the blind by Allah’s permission. He makes the deaf to hear by Allah’s permission. He gives life to the dead by Allah’s permission.

It is written in the Qur’an concerning Mary, that she was purified by Allah and chosen by Him above all the women of the world. She is more honored in the Qur’an than the mothers of Abraham, Moses, and Muhammad. None of these mothers of the prophets, no matter how great their sons were , was given the distinction of having a chapter in the Qur’an named after them. The honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan has named this Mosque after the Mother of Jesus to let this dominant Christian nation know and understand that every Muslim believes in Jesus."

When He Comes
Until October the 19th, I didn’t realize that the same plague that threatens the nation of Israel’s very existence was so close to home. Islamic sources say that when the Islamic Messiah (the Mahdi) comes out of hiding that Jesus will come too. Not out of clouds of glory as described in the New Testament, but out of the desert.

What should be “Breaking News” is barely being mentioned in the media.

Three Russian warships—including a nuclear-powered missile cruiser—docked in the Libyan port of Tripoli last Saturday.

They are in route to the coast of Venezuela where they will take part in joint naval exercise war games.

This constitutes the largest Russian naval maneuvers in the Caribbean since the Cuban Missile Crisis which took place in October of 1962.

It should seem noteworthy that the ETA of the warships is approximately US Election Day. The US economy and the presidential elections have captured everyone’s attention providing cover for the war games that Russia and Venezuela will conduct less than 1,000 miles from US territory.

The new friendship between President Hugo Chavez and Putin seems a bit uncanny since Venezuela is listed as a participating member state of the non-aligned nations. These 150 nations are not aligned with Russia or the United States and seek to make their own mark in world politics.

However, Russia is seeking to increase its presence in Latin America and Hugo Chavez seems to have thrown in the towel on being non-aligned to play ball with the big boys.

Another facet to this drama is Iran’s Ahmadenijad’s role. He has befriended both Chavez and Cuban President Fidel Castro.
What exactly does this spell for the US. Without doubt, it is a blatant ‘in-your-face’ for the United States.

The dangerous club of Putin, Chavez, Ahmadenijad and Castro look far too much like the famous “14 Days in October” all over again—the Cuban Missile Crisis that took America by storm.

While Ehud Olmert is being investigated by his own legal system, he presses ahead to strike a peace deal with Syria. Let’s consider all things in this endeavor and let the facts be the umpire. Should another costly package be delivered to one of Israel’s sworn enemies for the sake of peace?

Gaza was Israel’s huge step forward for "peace." Everyone knows thousands of rockets have rained down upon Israel without ceasing since that time (Photo below: city of Sderot). Is it because they have been imprisoned by Israel in a quasi-state that possesses no infrastructure enabling it to work? That, in fact, has been the cry of the Palestinians: "Give us a State! . . . You have imprisoned us!" Confusion reigns over the Palestinian State issue.

There has also been an international outcry and Palestinian complaints to what has been called "border closure," suggesting that Gaza residents are suffering because of Israel's need to secure her borders. The truth is not being told, however. Below is a daily listing of aid to Gaza from Israel. This is not to speak of electricity, water, and tax benefits that continue to be provided by their enemy "Israel." Reading this list, it is also hard to keep in mind that Israel has been under attack daily over the several years since the Gaza pullout.

It seems to me that the facts make the decision very clear:

Land give-away does not work.

In fact, it is tantamount to arming and equipping your enemy to attempt to annihilate you. Governmentally sanctioned suicide.

May 27, 2008: 62 trucks carrying 1,260 tons of wheat, 72 tons of barley and 900 tons of animal feed were transferred to the Gaza Strip via the Karni grain depot. 72 trucks with food, hygiene products, medicines and supplies for essential infrastructures were transferred to the Gaza Strip via Sufa crossing. Via the Nahal Oz fuel depot, 70,030 liters of petrol, 253 tons of gas, 155,000 liters of fuel for transportation and 736,200 liters of fuel for the power station were transferred. In addition, eight people crossed into Israel for medical treatment.
May 26, 2008: 66 trucks carrying baby food, agricultural produce and equipment, meat/chicken/fish, dairy products and other food, medicines, and supplies for essential infrastructures were transferred to the Gaza Strip via Sufa crossing. 170 tons of gas and 1.01 million liters of diesel fuel were transferred via Nahal Oz. In addition, 27 people (patients and their companions) crossed into Israel for medical treatment.
May 25, 2008: 75 truckloads (2690 tons) of wheat, barley, corn, soy, sesame seeds and animal feed were transferred from Israel to the Gaza Strip via the Karni grain depot. 66 truckloads of agriculture produce, meat/chicken/fish, dairy products, other food, supplies for essential infrastructures and medical equipment were transferred via Sufa crossing. 245 tons of gas, 270,420 liters of fuel for transportation and 619,200 liters of fuel for the power station were transferred via the Nahal Oz depot.
May 23, 2008: During the week 18-23 May, 300,000 liters of fuel were transferred via the Nahal Oz depot into the Gaza Strip for the use of UNWRA. 43,010 liters of gasoline and 159 tons of gas were transferred; 1,116,830 liters of fuel for transportation, more than the 800,000 liters allocated, and 2,177,200 liters of fuel out of the 2,200,000 liters allocated for the power station were transferred.

March 10, 2008: A total of 3,810 tons of humanitarian aid and fuel were transported. Sufa Crossing - 59 trucks were unloaded. Kerem Shalom Crossing - 5 trucks were unloaded. Karni Crossing conveyer - 81 trucks were unloaded (2,800 tons of wheat, legumes, sesame seeds, corn and animal feed) In addition, 695,000 liters (15 tankers) of fuel and 320 tons of heating gas (12 tankers) were transported through the Nahal Oz Crossing.
March 9, 2008: A total of 1,248 tons of humanitarian aid and fuel were transported. Sufa Crossing - 55 trucks were unloaded. Kerem Shalom Crossing - 23 trucks were unloaded. In addition, 681,000 liters (15 tankers) of fuel and 272 tons of heating gas (13 tankers) were transported through the Nahal Oz Crossing.
March 7, 2008: A total of 906 tons of humanitarian aid and fuel were transported. Sufa Crossing - 30 trucks were unloaded. Kerem Shalom Crossing - 8 trucks were unloaded. In addition, 225 tons of heating gas (10 tankers) were transported through the Nahal Oz Crossing.
March 6, 2008: About 160 trucks of humanitarian aid and supplies are being transferred into the Gaza Strip via the Kerem Shalom, Karni and Sufa Crossings. 63 trucks passed through Sufa Crossing containing: flour, fruit, sugar, cooking oil, frozen meat and fish. 19 trucks (donated by Egypt) passed through Kerem Shalom Crossing containing: rice, sugar, oil and dairy products. Approximately 80 trucks passed through the Karni Crossing containing grain.
March 5, 2008: About 70 trucks of humanitarian aid and supplies were transferred into the Gaza Strip via the Kerem Shalom and Sufa Crossings: 63 trucks passed through the Sufa Crossing containing: fruit, sugar, humus, flour, coffee, baby formula and oxygen masks. 6 trucks passed through the Kerem Shalom crossing containing: oil, flour, beans and tomato sauce. In addition, 25 Palestinians entered Israel for medical treatment in Israeli hospitals.
March 4, 2008: About 160 trucks of humanitarian aid and supplies were transferred into the Gaza Strip via the Karni and Sufa crossings, as well as the reopened Kerem Shalom crossing. The Rise of Al-Andalus

While Bush joined Israel's 60th celebration, undoubtedly, noble dreams of a Nobel achievement were in the back of his mind—the creation of a Palestinian State. However, his time has run out. In what may be considered a defeatist speech, or a set-up for the next administration, he predicted another 60 years of turmoil when he said:

"Israel will be celebrating its 120th anniversary as one of the world's greatest democracies. The Palestinian people will have a homeland, a democratic state that is governed by law, respects human rights and rejects terror. From Cairo to Riyadh to Baghdad and Beirut, people will live in free and independent societies."

The dream of a Palestinian State is an empty one. No one on earth will rise to this highly sought after political accomplishment. The doom of this goal has solid reasons. Palestine is a smoke screen for a much larger Islamist aspiration: the Greater Islamic umma, i.e., a resurrected Islamic worldwide empire. To Islamists, this goal is deemed holy unto Allah himself and all nationalism is secondary. Islamist claims are being widely ignored by the West in the politically-correct fever to mold Islam into a socially acceptable entity. While the West slumbers peacefully in its incorrect world view, Islamists work diligently on their agenda—legal Islam in Western nations. That does not mean tolerated Islam, that means Islam under Sharia Law in a host nation.

Palestinian History
Consider Palestine historically. The Arabs, living in the region the British named "Palestine," were in fact an amalgamation of Syrian, Egyptian, Saudi, and Iraqi Arabs. The term Palestine was abhorrent to them as the Zionists referred to the area as Palestine. "Philistia," was first officially used to describe all the Land of Israel after the third Jewish rebellion. The Bar Kokhba revolt had failed to win freedom from Roman domination of the Hebrew nation. The Romans named it Philistia in derision to historically disconnect the Jews from their homeland. The Jerusalem Post, Israel's prime English newspaper, was originally called The Palestine Post. Former Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir when asked about the Palestinians said, "Why, I'm a Palestinian, my passport says so."

In 1937, the Arab leader Auni Bey Abdul Hadi told the Peel Commission:

"There is no such country as Palestine. Palestine is a term the Zionists invented. Palestine is alien to us. Even your Bibles which call this land Palestine are in error."

In 1946, Princeton's Arab professor of Middle East history, Philip Hitti, told the Anglo-American Committee of Inquiry: "It's common knowledge, there is no such thing as Palestine in history." In March 1977, Zahir Muhsein, an executive member of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO), said in an interview to the Dutch newspaper Trouw:

"The 'Palestinian people' does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel."

Sheikh Professor Abdul Hadi Palazzi, Secretary General of the Italian Muslim Assembly said,

"There is no such thing as a Palestinian, there never was a Palestine, it is a Madison Avenue fantasy."

So then, what is Palestine all about? The League of Nations, formed in 1919 after WWI, drew regional lines called Mandates which were enforced by the armies of the great nations. Three classes of Mandates were:

A. Former Ottoman Empire areas, mainly Middle East,
B. Former German colonies, and
C. Small and backward territories unable to govern themselves.

These lines in the sand were disputed later, however, nations were born in councils of the League of Nations. Palestine was one of them, and the great nation handed the Mandate over Palestine was Britain.

A 500-year-old Grudge
The previously mentioned Islamist claims falling on deaf ears include al-Andalus. Al-Andalus is the name for Spain between 711 and 1492 which was under the rule of Islam almost entirely. The cute elementary school aids to remember dates has branded 1492 on our minds, but with only one facet—Columbus sailing the ocean blue. King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella were occupied with driving Muslims from Spain back to North Africa.

Lt. Col. Jonathan D. Halevi of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs warns us:

•Sheikh Safar al-Hawali, who was one of the most powerful Islamist preachers in Saudi Arabia, wrote a letter to President George W. Bush on October 15, 2001 - after the 9/11 attacks - in which he explained:

"Imagine Mr. President, we still weep over Andalusia and remember what Ferdinand and Isabella did there to our religion, culture and honor! We dream of regaining it."

• A children's magazine published by Hamas, the Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, called on Palestinian children to restore the city of Seville to Islamic rule as well as the rest of what was once Islamic Spain.

• Israel, therefore, is a small link in the greater confrontation between radical Islam and the West. Accepting the Arabs' terms for a Middle East settlement, or even going so far as "liberating" Palestine from Israeli rule, will not be the last stop in the radical Islamic journey being led by the Muslim Brotherhood and al-Qaeda, which share the vision of spreading Islam all over the world.

• Indeed, for the West, Israel constitutes a dike against the great wave of radical Islam. The very same principle invoked for waging war against Israel - recovery of what was once Islamic territory - is being applied to Spain, the Balkans, Southern Russia, and India. European pressure on Israel to make political concessions that endanger its security will only bring closer the next stage of Islam's offensive, this time aimed at the heart of Europe.

• Ayman al-Zawahiri, deputy of Osama bin Laden in the al-Qaeda leadership, in a new tape publicized on 20 September 2007, referred to the global aspirations of the Islamic Revolution: "O, our Muslim nation in the Maghreb [North Africa], zone of deployment for battle and jihad! The return of Andalus [today's Spain] to Muslim hands is a duty for the [Islamic] nation in general and for you in particular. You will not be able to achieve this except by purifying the Islamic Maghreb of the French and the Spanish who have once again returned, after your fathers and grandfathers had expelled them unsparingly in the way of Allah. "

The Bigger Picture
There is much more to the bigger picture. The loss of al-Andalus was a thorn in the side of Islam in North Africa. Revenge was played out in savage raids upon south European Mediterranean villages, slaughtering all men and taking women and children hostage as slaves. The Barbary Pirates were not romantic characters from children's storybooks. They were savage thieves and slavers who sold slaves to all paying customers. Thomas Jefferson's Koran, used by Keith Ellison, America's first Muslim elected to Congress, as he was sworn into the U.S. Congress was purchased to aid America in understanding their enemy. Jefferson's copy is an English translation by George Sale published in the 1750s; it survived the 1851 fire that destroyed most of Jefferson's collection and has his customary initialing on the pages. Dr. Fishbein, Ph.D, a graduate from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at The Johns Hopkins University, writes his thoughts on this subject. Here are some excerpts from Dr. Fishbein's article, titled "Echoes from the Barbary Coast":

"Launched in 1797, the USS Constitution, "Old Ironsides," and her sister ship, the USS Constellation, were built to wage war on the Muslim pirates operating along North Africa's Barbary coast. It was a wild, untamed region of petty states and warlords whose reach extended deep into the Mediterranean Sea, from Gibraltar to the borders of Egypt. Each owed his allegiance to the Ottoman Sultan, who demanded that payment of an annual tribute be made to his treasury in ex-change for the protection afforded by his Army. It was a tidy arrangement, one that worked well for the Sultan and those who knew their place in the social order."

That the local rulers were obliged to share a portion of their meager income with Constantinople meant that new, more assured opportunities for profit would have to be found. The solution was piracy. A bribe of $60,000 U.S. dollars was paid to keep the pirates from attacking American ships delivering goods to Britain. What would that amount to at today's dollar rate to assuage pirates?

Therefore, looking with clear-mindedness at the situation, one must draw very different conclusions than are presently being drawn. The Israeli Palestinian conflict is merely a tool of Islamofascism. Israel has served militant Islam as a training ground for tactics now being spread over the world. We must take into consideration Islam's tendency to capriciously decree land grabs as Allah's will. Kuwait was seen as Greater Iraq by Saddam Hussein, Lebanon has been decreed Greater Syria by both Hafez al-Assad and his son Bashar, Iran has declared Bahrain to be Iranian territory and warned the Bahraini's to turn it back over to its mother, Jordan was viewed as Winston Churchill's creation by surrounding Arab nations, and those claiming to be Palestinian see Jordan as Greater Palestine. Conversely, Jordan's official policy was that all land west of the Jordan River was the Hashimite Kingdom of Jordan. Just Google "Jordanian stamps" to see the 1924 issue showing Jordan's map with no sign of an entity called Palestine.

The lessons are clear. The Islamist sees all lands once under the umbrella of Allah as "occupied territory." All those lands must be reclaimed. Iran's Ayatollah Khomeini launched the Islamic Revolution in 1979 to take Islam to the far corners of the world. Islamic Iranian students flooded into America's universities. We now live in the midst of one of the most successful religo-political moves in history.

Holocaust Deniers

Palestinian media recently claimed the “Jews planned the Holocaust themselves to eliminate the handicapped and disabled among them and not have to care for them.” And, they released this breaking story on Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day. The breaking news released by the Palestinians also referred to the “satanic Jews” having planned the Holocaust in order to make themselves appear persecuted so they could benefit from international sympathy.

This should outrage the rationale world. I was stunned to see a Facebook group dedicated to debunking those who promote Holocaust denial, not because their cause isn’t worthy, but because there is even a need. Holocaust denial up until recent time appeared an extreme fringe view, certainly not shared by most anyone in America, the West, and other parts of the world—albeit Muslim countries.

And now, Hamas yet again put this type of extreme, hateful propaganda forward, not incongruent with their airing of the Mickey Mouse look-alike named Farfur who was teaching Palestinian children to hate Jews on their official television station, Al-Aqsa TV.

The thought that they could even put forth such an idea that Jews perpetuated the Holocaust is beyond perpostorous. Not that the Holocaust needs defending, but who would claim it was planned by Jews in viewing the tens of thousands archival photos, many taken and meticulously documented by the Nazi regime?

One only has to visit the exhibit of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum or Yad Vashem in Jerusalem to begin to understand the scope of the clear intentions of Hitler towards the vast Jewish population in Europe.

Survivors from the Holocaust still living tell their own stories with irrefutable facts.

Holocaust survivor of Auschwitz death camp, Eva Bluestein now lives in California and shared her story of survival today at University of Berkley.

My question is how does a story of this kind get published and not blasted by every other world news media as not just preposterous, but criminal in memory of those that suffered beyond human imagination? And, as former U.S. President Jimmy Carter places a wreath at the tomb of Yasser Arafat equating Israel with Apartheid, the goal of Hamas remains the same as stated in their

charter :

"Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it.
“There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors."

What is the explanation for this propaganda?

Brigitte Gabriel answers this question in her book Because They Hate:

"They hate our life. They hate our freedom. They hate our
democracy. They hate the practice of every religion but their own. They don’t just disagree. They hate.”

Israel continues to suffer from “hate” groups bent on her destruction, and continually must take measures to secure her citizens from daily threats.

Last week, the State of Israel commemorated “Holocaust Memorial Day,” twenty-four hours dedicated to remembering the six-million who died. On the evening of May 7th, Israel will remember those who have died in its defense on Yom HaZikaron (Memorial Day), including the victims of Islamic terror. Immediately following on May 8th, Israel will celebrate her 60th birthday on Yom Ha'Atzmaut, a declaration to the enemies of the Jews "Am Yisrael Chai!" the people of Israel live. The children of Holocaust survivors are proof of God's victory, and Hitler's failure.

It is incumbent upon us in this generation to continue to enforce the resolve of the nations at the end of World War II when Europe was released from the death grip of Hitler, and to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Jewish people and the State of Israel with the mandate “Never again!” And yet, we see the same anti-Semitic rhetoric towards the Jewish people arising once again, and their threats should be taken seriously in a united effort of aligned nations.

For us to settle into a state of apathy or passivity towards a nation, leader, or religion that seeks world dominance, or endorses the genocide of a people, is unthinkable.

Yom HaShoah - Holocaust Memorial Day 2008

We remember the Holocaust for many reasons, two are foremost today. Number one is to create a platform upon which to provide dignity for those who lost their lives in such indignity. Number two and the most important is to make sure it never happens again. Those were much less important words before Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, President of Iran. His ranting over the last three years is proof positive that a generation that forgets is at the mercy of the dark forces that seek to blot out the Jewish people. History does repeat itself.

Holocaust Memorial Day is a solemn occasion observed annually in Israel and around the world, remembering the millions of people who were put to death in Nazi concentration camps during World War II. It is marked on the 27th day in the month of Nisan - one week after the seventh day of Passover. Those who fought in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising of April 1943 are also remembered on this day. (Read more about Yom HaShoah - "Remembrance Day for the Holocaust and Heroism.") This day always begins the night before in an solemn opening ceremony at Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Memorial in Jerusalem. During the 24 hours, Israeli TV stations read the names of those who perished and show films of the Holocaust, replacing most of the normal programing. At the same time, tens of thousands of Jewish young people from Israel and around the world gather in Auschwitz in an annual even called "March of the Living."

This year, Jewish students on American University campuses nationwide staged a walk of remembrance. Alpha Epsilon Pi, the Jewish fraternity since 1913, along with Hillel House sponsored the event that took place at UC Davis in northern California. Below is the video I made of this event. To this day, Holocaust survivors (view their website to read their living testimonies) continue to tell their stories in varied venues in order to leave their experiences for history. All too soon, those survivors will be gone. Only what we have worked to record for posterity will be left to the generations to come. We resolve to join with them in their mandate "לעולם לא שוב, L'olam lo suv," "Never Again!"

Israel Warns Iran

ISRAEL WEAK AND COLLAPSING
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on April 10 that the State of Israel is weak and collapsing, Iranian news agency IRNA reported. "The time has come to see the weakness and collapse of the Zionist regime and its supporters," Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying. "They are doing everything in order to save it, but they will not succeed."

The Iranian president has made his views on the Palestinian issue known numerous times in the past and expressed his support for the armed struggle waged by Palestinian terror groups.

"The only solution to the Palestinian question is in turning to the voices of the Palestinian people," Ahmadinejad said. Other Arab supporters reportedly agreed with the remarks and emphasized the need for a united Muslim front in backing the Palestinians."

Earlier, the Iranian President slammed Western powers and said that the "corrupt global leadership" must be wiped out.

"The Iranian people will not surrender until the corrupt global leadership is extinct," he said. "United Nations Security Council decisions are no more than pieces of paper."

HAMAS TO KILL GILAD SHALIT
IDF soldier, Gilad Shalit was kidnapped in 2006 by Hamas when his tank patrol was ambushed near the Gaza border. Moussa Abu Marzouk, deputy of Hamas politburo said the Islamist group would not release kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Shalit unless Israel releases 350 Palestinian prisoners. In a newspaper interview published April 6, Abu Marzouk said if Israel does not comply with Hamas' demands, "We will hold on to Shalit and we will negotiate the return of his bones."

IRAN'S NUCLEAR THREAT
Iran announced that they have started to install some 6,000 new centrifuges at their nuclear facility in Natanz, twice the number of centrifuges in 2007. Iranian President Ahmadinejad made the declaration on April 8, Iran's National Day of Nuclear Technology. Meanwhile, in a separate IRNA report, Iran Defense Minister, Mostafa Najar said their missile capability, a concern to Israel, is entirely defensive in nature.

IF IRAN STRIKES
National Infrastruture Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer said on April 7, that "an Iranian strike on Israel will lead to an Israeli response that will devastate the Iranian nation." The national emergency drill held in Israel this week, he added, "does not simulate a fictitious situation. I think the future will be much harder than the reality we are familiar with." Iran's leader, Ahmadinejad, responded to Eliezer's warning with a counter warning calling Israel a terrorist state for such statements.

JUST SAY "NO!"
The U.S. State Department said yesterday it had advised former president Jimmy Carter against meeting Hamas leader Khaled Meshal in Syria next week, saying the idea goes against the U.S. policy of isolating the militant terrorist group. "We counciled against it," said department spokesman Sean McCormak. Carter planned to go with a group of elder statesmen, including former U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan and former South African president Nelson Mandela, both well-known for their continuing anti-Israel stance both in the United Nations, and political venues.

"FURTHER PRESSURE ON IRAN . . . . . . unlikely."
Is how U.S. Secretary of State Condolezza Rice put it. "We will always continue to refresh our efforts, but this is not the time." Presidential elections may dictate policy now.

Israel on Alert

WOMEN IN GREEN AND JOHN McCAIN
Nadia Matar, leader of Israel's Women in Green has written a letter of endorsement for U.S. Presidential candidate, John McCain after meeting with him to hear his views on Israel. McCain came out strong on behalf of the long-standing relationship between the two countries.

"Someone is going to have to answer me the question of how you are going to negotiate with an organization that is dedicated to your extinction," McCain said. Matar, has been Israel's right wing proponent for years founding such programs as "Machsom Watch" where observers with cameras go to the Palestinian check points and video tape the Palestinian harassment of Israeli soldiers in order to help soldiers with lawsuits against incitement to violence.

"If Hamas and Hizbullah succeeds here, they are going to succeed everywhere, not only in the Middle East, but everywhere," McCain added. "They are dedicated to the extinction of everything that the US, Israel and the West believe in and stand for."

Nadia's mother, Ruth, a Holocaust survivor and also a Woman in Green said when she heard McCain's statements that she became an admirer of his. McCain brought the relationship's strength info focus when he said, "I really think that we should understand that the US and Israel are partners. Israel is not a client of the United States," he said. "If you are partners, then you don't dictate what you think the terms of the survival of a nation should be."

DURBAN II
UN preparations for the Durban II World Conference Against Racism (WCAR), scheduled for early 2009 in South Africa are taking a surreal turn causing Israel to boycott the event. Durban II's Planning Committee chairperson will be Libya's Qaddafi and Vice-chairperson Iranian President Ahmadinejad. That's right, the Conference Against Racism is being planned by a genocidal Muslim supremacist who called for the Jewish State to be "wiped off the map."

The first Durban Conference in 2001 was a hate-fest against Israel, and Durban II's stated goal is to "further the Durban I Declaration," which essentially charged only Israel with racism.

AL-QAIDA THREATENS
Osama bin-Laden's right hand, Ayman al-Zawahiri, in a 90-minute diatribe has called for attacks on Jews in Israel and all over the world. A U.S. withdrawal from Iraq would allow Jihadists to strengthen themselves for an attack against Israel the black turbaned leader said. He also predicted the fall of the Saudi Empire for compromising with the Pope.

ISRAEL ON ALERT
"Hizbullah is lurking on the other side of the border, and continues to plot various schemes throughout the entire northern front," said Barak. "Hizbullah is getting stronger, but so is Israel, which is the strongest nation in the region. I would suggest that no one of the other side of the border mess with Israel, for their own good."

As for heightened tensions on the northern front in wake of the assassination of Hizbullah commander Imad Mugniyah, Barak stated that "the IDF is ready, willing and able to deal with all possible contingencies. Israel sees right through this blissful quiet and is well aware that a storm is brewing underneath the surface."

Rice Returns

RICE IS BOILING AGAIN . . . AND AFTER ONLY THREE WEEKS
Condoleezza Rice is returning to Jerusalem again Sunday after only three weeks. The U.S. State Department is under the impression that the Annapolis accords have stalled. Rice will try to kick-start the process and get it back on track. A three-way meeting will take place between Israeli Foreign Affairs Minister Tzipi Livni, Defence Minister, Ehud Barak, and P.A. Prime Minister Salam Fayyah. Israel fully expects to be rebuked for not living up to their commitments. They plan to inform Rice that they have indeed met their demands but the continued rocket attacks from Gaza keep them on the defensive. As usual the only rebuke for the Palestinians will be their inability to control terrorism.

ARAB DISUNITY?
Arab kings and presidents on Friday joined the list of leaders staying away from the Damascus Summit due to begin Saturday. The boycott is a campaign to punish the Syrian hosts for interfering in Lebanon.

Low level representatives from Yemen and Jordan will represent their countries at the Arab League in the annual two-day meeting opening on Saturday - more snubs to an event Syria had hoped would dispel the impression that it is isolated in the region. The Lebanese government is boycotting the event, and its closest allies - Saudi Arabia and Egypt - announced earlier this week that they would send low-level delegations. Bahrain, which is close to the Saudis, sent only a Deputy Prime Minister.

PRESSING DAMASCUS
Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh hopes to put pressure on Egypt through the Damascus Conference to reopen the Gaza Egypt border. It is probably the most important weapons smuggling route through which Iran is arming Hamas.

SAUDI INTERFAITH
Saudi Arabia, the nation with the worst human rights reputation in the world has decided to host an interfaith meeting with Jewish, Christian, and Muslim delegates.

The king announced that his goal in generating this interfaith dialogue is to attempt to prevent the rapid decline in morals and traditional family values rampant in society, and to restore loyalty and caring as guiding principles in our world.

The king said, "With Allah's aid, we will meet our brethren of the Torah and the New Testament. Together we will prevent the decay of morality and family values in our society, and replace the contempt and hurtfulness omnipresent in our world with genuine human fealty."

FITNA, AND MEIN KAMPF
Perhaps the most controversial movie of the decade debuted yesterday and already death threats have caused LiveLeak (the internet film channel usually bold enough to air anything), to pull it off their site (with an apology), after almost three million views in under 24 hours. Dutch Parliamentarian, Geert Wilders produced the movie to press the Dutch government to outlaw the Koran, which he believes to be a book that incites Muslims to terrorism against non-believers. His treatment of the material is more than compelling and believable. Geert explains that fitna means "strife" in Arabic as did Hitler's Mein Kampf. Hitler's book has been banned all over Europe. Wilder's contention is that the Koran is filled with directives to kill those who don't believe in Allah. Therefore, the Koran should be banned as well.

It seems that once again Islam is attempting to hold the world hostage by threatening violence to those who express condemnation to the violent tenents in the Koran.

BROTHER AGAINST BROTHER? EGYPT TORTURES PALESTINIANS
A Hamas official said 39 militants are currently being held in Egypt, while 90 others have been released in recent weeks. "The Hamas prisoners suffered all sorts of torture. Those who have been freed have given accounts of being tortured and of interrogations, which have nothing to do with the security of Egypt," said an official, on condition of anonymity.

One of the Islamic movement's leaders in Gaza, Said Siam, said in an interview on a website sympathetic to the movement that he "deeply regrets that dozens of Palestinians are still being held in Egyptian prisons." He said he had "reliable information" that among those being held were "certain heads of the Ezzedine Al-Qassam Brigades (the armed branch of Hamas) who have been subjected to the most extreme torture."

On Wednesday, Osama bin Laden accused Pope Benedict XVI of helping in a "new Crusade" against Islam and warned of a "severe" reaction to European republishing of cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad that insulted many Muslims. Bin Laden's audiotape, posted Wednesday, said the cartoons "came in the framework of a new Crusade in which the pope of the Vatican has played a large, lengthy role." The Vatican spokesman, Rev. Federico Lombardi, said Bin Laden's accusation was "baseless."

Palestinian children in Gaza were gathered for an exhibition that depicts Israel burning children in a crematorium. Young children are seen standing beside dolls being placed into a model of a cremation oven. TEMPLE COIN FOUND
Archaeologists in Jerusalem say they've found an ancient coin that played a role in Jewish ritual at the biblical Second Temple. The silver coin is a shekel denomination. In the Bible, Jews are commanded to contribute half a shekel each for maintaining the Temple in Jerusalem.

The archaeologists say the coin they found near the Old City of Jerusalem is the type the ancient Jews used to pay the Temple tax. The Second Temple was built in the sixth century BC and was standing in the time of Jesus. The coin was found in a 2,000-year-old drainage ditch. The archaeologists say the coin must have been dropped there by accident - just as sometimes a coin drops out of someone's pocket today.

David Ortiz works mainly with Palestinians in the West Bank, encouraging them to convert to Christianity. This week a gift package delivered to his home exploded in the face of his 16-year old son. The youth was alone at the time and suffered shrapnel injures and burns to his neck and chest. Ortiz, had received death threats from Muslims angered by His missionary efforts among Muslims. A number of David's ex-Muslim converts have been beaten up and jailed by Palestinian Authority officials. Ortiz has a close relationship with Ariel Mayor Ron Nachman who has actively pursued strengthening the town's connections with overseas Christian groups.

ISLAMIC THEOLOGY OUT OF THE BAG

Osama spells it out clearly. The new audio tape by Osama bin Laden slammed Palestinian negotiations with Israel and urged holy war for the liberation of Palestine. In the audio excerpts bin Laden said that "Palestine cannot be retaken by negotiations and dialogue,but with fire and iron." Bin Laden called on Palestinians unable to fight in Jerusalem to join the al-Qaida fight and the holy war, in Iraq. "The nearest field of jihad today to support our people in Palestine is the Iraqi field," bin Laden said. "We tell our brothers in Palestine who could not join the jihad in the land of Al-Quds (Arabic for Jerusalem), to get rid of illusions of political parties and groups which are mired in trickery of the blasphemous democracy and to take their positions among the ranks of the mujahideen in Iraq."

Such a Palestinian fight in Iraq should be "concentrated on and supported by all Muslims, specially from neighboring countries," bin Laden added and also called on the people of Syria, Lebanon Jordan and Saudi Arabia to "help in support of their mujahedeen brothers in Iraq, which is the greatest opportunity and the biggest task."

In the tape broadcast on Al-Jazeera, bin Laden said the sufferings of the Palestinians in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip began when treacherous Arab leaders began supporting the US-hosted Mideast peace conference in Annapolis and the "Zionist entity."

"Palestine will not return to us with negotiations by submissive rulers, their conferences nor by demonstrations and elections," he said. "Palestine will come back to us if we awaken from our ignorance and adhere to our religion and sacrifice our lives and means to it."

A mourning tent for the terrorist who killed eight innocent seminary students in Jerusalem was decorated with flags of Hezbollah (yellow), Hamas (Green), and Palestine (red, black, green and white). In a move intended to say, "Enough is enough," orthodox Jewish students marched to Jebel Mukaber (south Jerusalem neighborhood) to tear down the illegal structure but were met by police who arrested them. The Harav Yeshiva students have spent a seven-day mourning period, known in Jewish tradition as "sitting shiva" after which they determined to dismantle the Muslim structure in which celebrations of the terrorist victory over the Jews were being marked.

CONFERENCE CONDEMNS ISRAEL - Organization of the Islamic Conference (O.C.I.)
The world's largest Muslim body, a 57 nation membership organization, has just convened in Senegal to accuse Israel of "War Crimes." Of course, there was no mention of 6,000 Kassam rockets from Gaza since the Israeli pullout. Nor of Hezbollah's unprovoked attack in 2006, nor of their 30,000 new rockets. The conference went further to warn the West of the threat that Islamophobia poses to Muslims worldwide. Their meeting sought to defuse a potential "clash of civilizations" they claim is stoked by Western fears of Islamic terrorism.

This body is the largest inter-government body after the United Nations.

BETHLEHEM IN A RAGE
Muhammad Shahade - Hezbollah's Mastermind of the Yeshiva shooting - is killed. The real target of last week's Yeshiva shooting was the Senior Rabbi. When Alaa Abu Dheim, who was recruited by Shahade, could not locate the rabbi, he opened fire on the students. Israel located the operative who was responsible for the attack, Muhammad Shahade of Bethlehem. Hezbollah leader, Hassan Nasrallah, phoned the family with condolences and to inform them that Shahade is considered a martyr which affords the family financial support from the Iranian-backed terrorist organization.

FIRST TEMPLE ITEMS UNEARTHED
Israel's Department of Antiquities has discovered First Temple items near the Western Wall. A Ring seal with the name Netanyahu ben Yaush, and pottery handles with "To the King of Hebron" were unearthed.

TERROR STRIKES JERUSALEM AFTER A YEAR OF QUIET
Alaa Abu Dheim, the terrorist, was not from Gaza but from a south Jerusalem suburb called Jebel Muqaber very near the central United Nations Middle East Headquarters. Though Muslim, his residence makes him an Israeli citizen with proper paper work that allowed him unquestioned movement anywhere in the nation. Initially Hamas took responsibility for the attack that took the lives of 8 seminary students.

The attack is unprecedented in that the Jewish seminary where Abu Dheim opened fire was an institution of unarmed students. Traditionally Orthodox students have beenthe most sympathetic to the cause of the Arabs and at times have championed the idea that both peoples can live together in peace and harmony.

The act underscores the voice of the other side that has cried out over the years that there is no moderate voice within the Palestinian entity, but rather that their intentions are to take all of the land of Israel as their own.

The celebrations in Gaza as well as the Hamas flags raised over Abu Dheim's home are sparking strong government reactions. Israeli police are raising the alert level expecting more attacks to come.

MISGUIDED FOCUS
The United Nations Human Rights Council held a minute of silence for martyrs in Gaza this week. The Iranian Foreign Minister Mottaki called for the gesture with no mention of the continued onslaught against Israeli civilians who live in terror of kassam missiles. When questioned,the U.S. mission in Geneva said it had no comment on what happened.

This particular council is dominated by a bloc of African and Islamic countries, as are many other U.N. councils.

WAR PLANES OVER BEIRUT
Two Israeli war planes overflew Beirut on Thursday after the attack that took the lives of eight Jewish seminary students. Responsibility for the attacks was taken by the Martyrs of Mughniyeh the assassinated terrorist king pin. This puts suspicion on Hezbollah.

IRAN REARMS HEZBOLLAH
Israel informed the European Union that Iran has been rearming Hezbollah via Turkey. Hezbollah has boldly warned all parties, including the U.S. that they are ready for even an international war, but won't initiate it.

Will we see another Israeli War in 2008? Gaza's rocket barrage is being taken advantage of by Hezbollah who are amassing thousands of troops on Israel's north border. The unprovoked Summer War of 2006 was declared an Israeli loss by Israel's government. This was Hassan Nasrallah's cue to prepare for another onslaught against Israel. The perfect "reason" for Nasrallah to go ahead was the assassination of Imad Mugniyah, a terrorist king-pin supported by Iran, Syria and Hezbollah. We must support Israel by doing what we can to influence our government's support.

ABBAS LABELS CONFLICT, "ISRAEL AGGRESSION."
"It is in the interest of the Palestinian people not to give Israel any pretext to continue its aggressions," said a statement from the office of Mahmoud Abbas.

The barely veiled accusation was couched in a warning to Hamas to stop firing rockets into Israel. The warning was ignored and again today 15 rockets came from Gaza to add to yesterday's 80.

Longer range rockets with explosive warheads made in Iran have taken lives now in Israel and the government's response is quick and harsh.

The Bush administration warned Israel of the consequences of itsactions, however, it seems the warning should be to Hamas leader, Haniyeh as he seems only to egg his forces on to greater strikes against Israel's civilian population centers. The cowardly terror attacks are against every convention of war-time activities, yet, the blame is continually shifted to Israel.

Egyptian intelligence chief Suleiman cancelled his planned visit to meet with Olmert due to the escalation in the south.

KING ABDULLAH II CALLS FOR HELP
Jordan's King Abdullah II warned Friday that unless a comprehensive peace agreement is reached during the Bush administration's final months, peace could be set back for decades. It will be two or three years before a new president would be willing to look at the MIddle East.

THREE U.S. WARSHIPS ON THE MOVE
With tensions mounting the U.S. military has given the "go-ahead" to three naval warships including one amphibious assault ship to the eastern Mediterranean in a show of strength as Syria and Hezbollah make threats toward Israel. The U.S.S. Cole is a guided missile destroyer with anti-aircraft and land attack capabilities. This is all part of the U.S. Sixth Fleet based at Naples, Italy.

A TERRORIST KINGPIN IS DEAD AND FEW MOURN
Imad Mughniyeh, kingpin of international terror was eliminated by unknown sources on Tuesday in Damascus. Both Iran and Syria are claiming an Israeli American plot.

Plastic surgery didn't help Imad Mughniyeh. Hiding from 42 nations who have warrants out for your arrest is hard work. Some say Mugnhniyeh underwent repeated plastic surgery to hide his identity, however, it didn't work.

Imad Mughniyeh was born in Lebanon in 1962. He was indictedfor the 1985 hijacking of a TWA airliner, involved in the 1990s bombings in Buenos Aries, responsible for the 250 murdered Marines in Southern Lebanon in 1982, and on the FBI Most Wanted list at $25,000,000 reward since 2001. Damascus and Iran are accusing Israel and the United States of a concerted effort to kill Imad, and today Syria made the announcment that they will soon reveal irrefutable evidence pointing to the guilty party. Israeli government warnings have been issued to Jewish people worldwide as Syria and Iran have promised reprisals for the killing. Syria has declared all peace efforts with Israel "dead." Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah, Hizbollah leader, declared open war on Israel for the assassination.

FROM DAN TO BEER SHEVA
A 5.3 earthquake just rocked the Middle East. Israel felt the quake from the far north to the south of the country. The epicenter was in Lebanon near the coastal town of Tyre. Israeli citizens reported rocking and rolling movements in their homes in the north. Reports of the quake came in as far as from Beirut and Damascus. The Jordan Valley, with runs the length of the nation of Israel from the Red Sea at Eilat to the Sea of Galilee and further north is, in fact, the northern-most arm of the African rift fault line.

The history of the Middle East if rife with very destructive earthquakes which have leveled towns like Beit Shean in Roman times. Much of the destruction of that cosmopolitan Roman city was due to a massive earthquake. Other important archaeological sites also provide evidence of seismic activity in the past. Most cities in the area are poorly prepared for a large earthquake.

HAMAS CRISIS SPREADS 12-DAY BREACH = NEW WEAPONS

Egyptian riot troops have dug their heels in after a 12-day breach of the Gaza/Egypt border. Stern warnings have been issued from high-level Egyptian officials this week.

Israeli security officials say that Hamas continues to boost its military strength and group members are constantly working to prepare themselves for a possible large-scale IDF ground operation. Israel believes that the 12 days have been used by Hamas to smuggle more sophisticated weaponry into the Gaza Strip. Fears of high-level Iranian operatives and weapons have been voiced by Israeli defense personnel.

"We can see Hamas' progress every time they come into contact with IDF soldiers in the Strip," a defense official said. "We can see that they are more highly skilled people who are better equipped than before and they operate like an army. Therefore, our attitude to Hamas' potential is serious," the source added.

HAMAS THREATENS FROM IRAN
Hamas has been pitching threats in every direction this week. Egypt boosted troop security along the border with Gaza on Friday, a security official said, following an alleged threat by Hamas that the group would stage kidnappings of Egyptian troops if its militants arrested in the Sinai were not released. The remarks came amid stepped-up rhetoric by Egypt against Gaza's Hamas rulers, reflecting Cairo's growing frustration in the wake of the 12-day breach of its frontier with Gaza and the ensuing border chaos.

"Israel too can expect a wave of suicide bombings inside its 1967 borders," Hamas' representative in Iran said yesterday. The announcement came as Palestinian militants from the Gaza Strip launched at least 10 Kassam rockets into Israel, wounding two children.

In a statement on Hamas' Internet site signed by the organization's delegate to Iran, Dr. Abu-Osama Abed Al-Ma'ati, the suicide attack earlier this week in Dimona was described as the beginning of a new wave of attacks.

"We ceased to carry out these attacks for a year, but the enemy persisted with its aggression and the violations to the cease-fire. The Dimona attack is a message. That message is that Iz al-Din al-Qassam has renewed the suicide attacks," (the Islamist organization's military wing).

Senior Hamas officials have said that the organization uses such online announcements to declare a change in tactics. Showing consistency with their line from Iran, Hamas' spokesmen in Gaza said the group will continue to mount "resistance" and carry out suicide attacks.

INTERNATIONAL CENTER FOR GLOBAL TERRORISM
Thousands of Arab men have flocked into Gaza Strip from Egypt in the past two weeks, offering to join in the fight against Israel. The men, who came from Egypt and other Arab countries, Including Iran, entered the Gaza Strip during the breach. Egyptian sources said the men had toured a number of training bases and security installations belonging to Hamas and other groups and expressed their desire to aid in the Gaza Strip and launch attacks against Israel.

Some of the men had recently fled from Iraq, where they had been carrying out attacks against US troops. The number of Arab men who entered the Gaza Strip is estimated at over 2,000.

Palestinian Authority security officials told The Jerusalem Post that many of the men were Muslim fundamentalists who were eager to launch terror attacks against Israel.

"Hamas has turned the Gaza Strip into an international center for global jihad," said one official. "Most of the men who entered the Gaza Strip through the breached border are now being trained in Hamas's camps and schools."

HAMAS HIJACKING!
At least 10 trucks with humanitarian aid sent to the Gaza Strip by the Jordanian Red Crescent Society were confiscated by Hamas police shortly after the trucks entered the territory on Thursday evening, according to aid officials in Jerusalem. Eight trucks had food products and another two had medicines. They were reportedly taken to Hamas-run ministries.

Initial reports said the intended target of the aid was the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in Gaza. Hamas and the PRCS had a run-in in the past, when the Islamic group diverted another aid convoy.

A spokesman for the Hamas police in Gaza said that the number of trucks was in fact 14 and they would be "delivered to Palestinians in need in the Gaza Strip." Such activities by official government sanctioned police should stand as the earmark of a rogue state andnever be accorded statehood.

SAUDI MORALITY POLICE ARREST AMERICAN BUSINESS WOMAN
A 37-year-old American businesswoman and married mother of three is seeking justice after she was thrown in jail by Saudi Arabia's religious police for sitting with a male colleague at a Starbucks coffee shop.

Yara, who does not want her last name published for fear of retribution, was strip-searched, threatened, and forced to sign false confessions before she was freed from a day in prison.

In a speech Thursday night, the Archbishop of Canterbury angered many in Britain, suggesting adopting Sharia Law. In a previous magazine interview, Rowan Williams, Archbishop of Canterbury compared Britain's Muslims to the biblical Good Samaritans, and praised the ritual of praying five times daily, but he attacked "Christian Zionists" and claimed the U.S. wields its power in a worse way than Imperial Colonial Britain.

The Archbishop claimed that the 9/11 Al Qaeda terrorists "can have serious moral goals" and saying that they should not be labeled evil. Now, over his Thursday night address on the U.K. adapting Islamic Sharia Law for its Islamic residents, a senior Church of England clergyman has called for the resignation of Dr. Rowan Williams. The clergyman was quoted as saying, "I am shocked that a man of his intelligence could be so gullible. I can only assume that all the Muslims he meets are senior leaders of the community who tell him what a wonderful book the Koran is."

Senior government figures also spoke out against the Archbishop, as the row escalated and threatened to undermine his authority in the public arena as well as within his own Church. David Blunkett, the former Home Secretary, said that formalizing Sharia in the UK would be "catastrophic" for social cohesion. Britain's Ramadan Foundation praised Williams calling it, "a testament to his attempts to understand Islam and promote tolerance between our great faiths." The Archbishop's words may be well-meaning, however, when push comes to shove, what do offices of justicedo with the many unseemly aspects of Sharia Law. Islamic law dictates all aspects of life including: diet, headcoverings, vocal divorce in which a man merely announces to his wife that she is no longer his wife, polygamy, honor killings of young girls that 'shame' their families, female genital mutilation, second class citizenship for women wherein their testimony in any court of law counts only for half that of a man. Sharia Law is totally incompatible with democratic systems of justice. The archaic undercurrents of their religious justice system have never been brought into the modern world. No reform is allowed by those who hold the reigns of formal Islamic law.
