just a few days old. there is nothing like seeing a perfect, healthy baby come into a family that is so obviously in love.

Kenzie is going on a mission to the Philippines for our church in December. She is going to be an awesome missionary. She's such a beautiful person, inside and out.

i was lucky enough to be able to take pictures of this little button being born. here are a few pictures of her still in the hospital. it is such a special thing to photograph a sweet new baby, just arrived into a family, just beginning. there are so many wonderful things to look forward to in their lives together.

A few photos from the day miss magoo turned two. That was how she really felt about that cake. A little intimidated about being given full rights to her cake. She loved blowing those candles out though. The party wiped her out and she looked so perfect sleeping that day as always.

my sweet sister-in-law and my little brother just had a little girl. she looks just like my little brother as a baby. we are all head over heels in love with her. their hospital room had the littlest window possible but we still got a few good shots.

I am so excited to announce that I will be doing a family session GIVEAWAY this week. These photos are meant to help you see the beauty in your life and the love that saturates it. I want to capture the truth and goodness of your family. I want to take pictures that will help tell a story of how your life is and the feelings that surround it. So here goes.

this summer i can't get enough of being outdoors. we explore and pretend and play. there is fresh air to breath, pockets to be filled, sticks to be made into swords. i know it's true that before i turn around these children will be grown but not before i do my best at soaking up all that they are right now.

I am so in love with this child of mine. I love the fresh hole in his jeans, his messy hair, the scrapes he wears on each elbow. Signs of lots of playing. Signs of summer days put to good use.

summer is in full swing around here. my kids have been living in swimsuits, smelling of sunscreen and earth, sustained by sunshine and watermelon. such a good childhood in the making. i couldn't be happier about it.

My little kitchen helper. Sometimes when

I'm in the kitchen the best place for him to be is at my side. As cute as he is, I have to keep a close eye on him, little rascal. So naturally he ends up helping me cook often. Good thing he loves helping anyways. Especially when it's pancakes we are mixing up. He really does make life so much sweeter.
