Anoka High School Senior Photographer {Bridgette – Class of 2013}

I feel like I have known Bridgette forever, even though it’s only been a few years. I met her back in 2011 when her cousin Alyssa was one of my FIRST senior spokesmodels. She got to tag along to her mini-shoot, so when it came to be her turn the next year as one of my spokesmodels she was an old pro! We did Bridgette’s first mini-shoot last spring, remember that last year when it was super warm, early? Well of course this year was a different story and because the weather didn’t cooperate with us we got to meet up a few different times this ‘spring’

I’m pretty sure there was still snow on the ground or if there wasn’t, it had JUST melted. But for our shoot last week it was a BEAUTIFUL day! Sunny, not real windy, and warm. And to top it off her mom (who is my awesome hair stylist, let me know if you need someone!) has a client who has this fabulous old car who was so nice to let us use it for our shoot. We were a little nervous to touch it…that’s how nice it is!

Overall it was a fantastic day and we had a blast…not to mention got some beautiful photos! Enjoy!

Sorry Bridgette! Your mom and I outnumbered you on this one I think this is stunning!

Jessica is another one of my class of 2013 seniors! And because of this crazy weather we’ve had this spring is another one who has been rescheduled a few times But it was worth the wait! The day we went out was just gorgeous, beautiful colors starting, warm (that’s always a plus!) and some great sunshine and sunset.

It’s been a busy few weeks with the weather finally getting nice out and I have another busy couple of weeks coming up as well with some current Class of 2013 Seniors.

Calvin and his parents came over tonight for his premier ordering session. Last week we had a chilly, but fun, session in the evening. Calvin (like most guys) aren’t really huge on getting their photos taken, but but I think I made it pretty fun…right? Take a peak at some of our favorite photos from his session.

I think we can safely say (and I say this with my fingers and my toes crossed!) that spring is finally upon us! Remember back to a few weeks ago when we had that one nice week (and then it snowed AGAIN!?!)? Well I took advantage of that weekend. Katie had a fun weekend of nice weather and well…fun! Friday night was Anoka’s Prom and some great weather for it and then Saturday she headed over to my place with her mom and friend Emily to get her hair and make-up done by my fabulous make-up artist Jamie! While there we chatted and went through all her outfit choices (which were all chosen at the last minute right girls? heehee). And then we headed out for the good stuff! We had just gorgeous weather that day, I couldn’t have asked for anything better. And apparently the nice weather brings out the snakes in downtown Anoka? LOL Yep that’s right we actually encountered a snake. No don’t worry it wasn’t slithering wildly around the alleyways, but there was someone walking through the alley with said snake around his shoulders. Definitely something you don’t see everyday! Overall I had a great time with them all.

SO MUCH FUN! Jessie and her mom came over a few days ago for their premier ordering session (I know I’m behind!) and we had so much fun. Almost as much fun as we had taking her photos! We headed downtown Anoka for Jessie’s photos and we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day, 70′s and not a cloud in the sky! She was stunning in all her photos! Good luck in fall Jessie!

You may have noticed a recent change to some session prices on my senior’s page, or maybe you didn’t. Either way, I wanted to share some things with you all. Now there is not just one session to choose from but THREE! Yep three sessions! In addition to the one you all know and love, I’ve added one called the Short and Sweet. This session is exactly how it sounds short and sweet! It’s for those people who maybe just need a few shots taken and don’t want to spend hours in front of the camera. It’s one outfit, one backdrop and up to 30 minutes of shooting. These are more headshot type photos but they get the job done!

The next session I’ve added (and really this is the one this post is all about!) is the session called the EXPERIENCE. And that is what it is! This session not only includes an extra hour with me, unlimited outfits and locations, along with a special gift from me worth $50 but it also includes professional HAIR AND MAKEUP! Why do I need or want hair and makeup you ask? Well I will tell you First like the session says, this is an experience. These are your senior photos and you will only take them one time and why not have the experience of a lifetime. You may think, “well you know what, I really do a good job doing my own hair and makeup” or “I have a friend who does an excellent job and she’s going to do it for me”. While this may be true, my makeup artists are professionals, they do this for a living, they’ve gone to school for it and they know how to make you look your best on camera as well as give you different types of looks. Sometimes you may think you put on ‘enough’ makeup but when you get in front of the camera and/or lights, it can make you look washed out or even like you aren’t wearing any makeup at all. Here are a couple of examples of before/after photos. The first photo is no makeup, the second is their own makeup applied at home and the third is hair and makeup by my professionals. And these are two different looks you could potentially use depending on what you are looking for.

How GORGEOUS are they?!? And they still look like themselves! Here’s a few more photos of them getting ready and the fun we had! And of course after an afternoon of getting all prettied up I had to take my models out and get a few shots outdoors…unfortunately it was FREEZING (really is this winter/spring ever going to end?) so we only got to go out for a little while. Thanks girls so much for all your help!

I’m slacking! I meant to do this the other day and I forgot…I’m going to blame it on the snow! It’s distracting, annoying and feels like it’s never going away!

On to a brighter and much more beautiful subject, McKenzie! McKenzie and her mom were on the ball booked her session well in advance and then the weather happened. We went out and grabbed a few gorgeous photos last weekend on a chilly day so that she could get some invites in the mail for her Graduation Party. While the weather may not have cooperated with us and it was chilly McKenzie was definitely a trooper and we got some GREAT shots! I look forward (and you should too!) to her next shoot, one with hopefully a little more sun and warmth!

Andover Senior Photography {Print Products}

I thought it would be a great idea this year to take some photos of some of the products in my print packages. This way people can ‘see’ what they might want/need while they are booking their session. I also have all of these on display in the ‘studio’ as well so anytime you want to stop in a see/touch/feel them just call me up because of course the photos don’t do them justice.

This first one is one of my favorite new items. It’s a Bamboo Mounted Print. There’s many different ways to put the photos on here, but as you can see in the bottom photo it’s a great thing to have at your grad party for all your friends and family to sign.

This second item is another new product. It’s called the Lira Frame. It’s a collage frame that comes with 4-4×6′s.

Here’s a sample of what a 20×24 collage could look like. This one is on a Gallery Wrapped Canvas. See the backs of these canvases…phenomenal! Love the little doohickey’s on the bottom to protect your wall!

All prints larger than an 8×10 get mounted. Keeps them looking their best and protects them as well. Don’t worry though they can still be framed if you would like. Also pictured here is the accordion mini-album. These are great gifts to carry around in your purse or give to grandma and grandpa!

Pictured here is one of the lay flat books you can purchase. It’s a great way to have all your photos in one place.

Last but not least, if you decide you want to add some digital options to your package you can receive them on either a flash drive or a disc, custom to your session!

Wow! Today was gorgeous outside right? A few more days like this (well ok it could have been a little warmer and less windy, but really I’m not complaining!) and the snow will be GONE for good, right?

Well as gorgeous as it was outside today it doesn’t even come close to this gorgeousness! Brittany is another one of my Class of 2014 Senior Spokesmodels. I love this family, we have so much fun! You may remember her sister from last fall who is equally as beautiful!

It was a little chilly last week when we did her session, but seriously, the sun, the snow, THAT RED COAT!?! OMG LOVE!

It is Technically Spring….Right?

Well since the calendar says that it’s spring I think it’s time for our Spring Mini-Sessions!

Just like always, there are limited slots available and times are on a first come first serve basis. To sign up for a time please leave a comment below and I will keep the blog updated with available times. If you h ave any questions please feel free to contact me at info@jessicapearsonphotography.com (or click the contact link above).

Sessions are for up to 6 people and will last approximately 25 minutes. Payment is due upon booking, so once you sign up for a day/time, I will be contacting you about how you would like to pay and to give you more information about the location. If there is bad weather, I will be in touch with you about rescheduling.

Please feel free to share this with family and friends. If times fill up and people are still interested I may open up another day or more time options. Times have been chosen based on optimal lighting.
