Hannah and Sam were married on a warm and windy April day in Littleton, Colorado.

The couple shared a first look out in the fields and then read private vows to each other before the ceremony.

Hannah shares, “Where to begin! Our day was everything we ever dreamed it would be. The Manor House was the perfect venue and we got so lucky with a beautiful spring day. It was amazing to be in the mountains to celebrate our love in the sunshine with all of our favorite people!

All of our vendors made the day seamless, so we were able to truly sit back and enjoy.

Our favorite part was probably our first look; we had wavered on doing one, but having that time together before the crazy began was so special and gave us a chance to read some private vows. The happy tears started then and didn’t seem to stop until dancing commenced! We truly had the best day of our lives and couldn’t be more grateful to everyone who made it possible – especially Jess!”

Hannah’s two uncles performed the ceremony. They did an amazing job making the ceremony unique and special for the couple.

We had some gorgeous golden hour light seeping into the valley.

Hannah and Sam’s dog, Palmer, couldn’t be there on the day, but he was certainly there in spirit. He got a very special place, on top of the cake!

Jennie works in music and they both love the outdoors. Red Rocks was the perfect location to celebrate Colorado and the place where they met. I’M SO HAPPY FOR YOU GUYS! 

Jennie shares the sweet proposal story, “In D.UM.B.O, Brooklyn, staring at the Brooklyn Bridge, the man of my dreams had pre-arranged for a street performer to be waiting there to play our song. As my jaw dropped, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Crying, I helped him up and said “YES!”

I knew from the moment I saw his angel face that all I wanted was him + a life together forever. I love him with all my heart! How did him and I get so lucky?! 

I am so thankful for CJ to invite me to join his family, letting me love his amazing kids and opening his beautiful heart to my family, as well. I cannot wait to continue our story of growth, love and adventures!”

Katie and Jim met in high school English class. Katie shares, “We didn’t start dating until our senior year, but my very first impression of Jim was that he was incredibly tall, he fished, and he had this long hair that made him look like shaggy from Scooby Doo, but that was sophomore year.”

Jim adds, “I remember the day she asked me to sit with her at her table and she commented on my terrible goatee (it was truly terrible). I went home and shaved that night because I really wanted her to like me. I remember how excited she was that I shaved it off and I sat with her the rest of the year.”

“Our first date was dinner and a movie,” Katie shares, “The Nun, if you can believe it, we both are horror movie lovers. After we ate, we went out to Jim’s convertible (a Z3 BMW, which he was very proud of). He went to put the top down, misjudged the clip, and accidentally smacked me right in the face. I was laughing so hard I had tears streaming down my cheeks. He thought he seriously injured me, but that only made me laugh harder.”

Jim continues, “I was so nervous! I never really watched any horror films, but I was just so excited to go to a movie with her I was willing to see one. Turns out it’s one of my favorite movie categories and we are still catching me up on the classics. Also, I completely thought that the first date was going to be the last date because I smacked her, but we went to the lake later that night and just sat by the stream and talked. It was then I knew I had someone very special.”

Katie shares, “I think I knew he was the one when we exchanged promise rings. He gave me mine at Garden of the Gods, which was such a beautiful place, and it felt like this huge, special moment just for us. I still think about that day all the time.”

Jim continues, “Honestly, I knew pretty early on. We were just driving one day, not really going anywhere, on a dirt road, I turned and looked at her and was like, she’s the one.”

Katie tells the story of the proposal, “Jim proposed! We were in Breckenridge for the day, grabbing drinks, just enjoying the town and later we decided to drive up Loveland Pass. Our friend Alara was with us, and our dog Zion too, which made it even more perfect. I truly had no idea it was coming. I thought he might wait until our Thanksgiving trip. So when he dropped to one knee, I was completely shocked in the best way.”

Jim shares, “I wanted a really pretty proposal, but I also wanted it to be a complete surprise. I also knew I couldn’t trust Alara to not say anything, so I told Alara only two hours before that I was going to propose. I had multiple backup plans for the day and actually had to drive by a spot because of a wedding going on. So technically it was spot number two but I think it could not have been more perfect.”

Katie shares, “We celebrated first in California with my family, and my aunt hosted the most amazing engagement party for us. We cooked together, enjoyed time with everyone, and even went to the San Diego Zoo, something I loved doing as a kid. It felt like such a full-circle moment.”

They chose Clear Creek in Golden for their engagement session because it is one of their favorite places to fish together. They love Golden’s stunning views and fall colors and have so many happy memories there.

Zion is their wonderful little puppy. Katie shares, “She is a mini red healer. We brought her home last August and life has been a mix of chaos and joy ever since. She keeps us laughing every single day. She has endless energy when she wants to play, but she also loves to curl up and nap for hours. She is sweet and silly and spoiled in the best way (way too many photos of her) and she has already become such an important part of our little family. She also loves water. Whenever she hears a river she MUST get in the water.”

Katie shares, “My engagement ring feels incredibly personal to us. Jim helped create the design and my uncle, who owns a jewelry shop in California, is the one who made it which makes it even more special. The ring I have is perfect for me. It feels meaningful and timeless and every time I look at it, I think of how much love went into making it.”

Jim adds, “Her uncle did an absolutely amazing job! I knew what she wanted and told him and he nailed it on the first design. I also had it shipped discreetly but ended up fessing up that I had the ring in the house. I had to move it multiple times so she would never find it.”

The wedding plans are in the works. Katie shares, “We are thinking about a small elopement in the mountains surrounded by nature followed by a simple celebration in a spot we both love.”

I asked them, “What do you love most about each other?” Katie replied, “I love how kind and caring Jim is every single day. No matter how tough the day is he always shows up for me.” Jim replied, “I literally love everything about her. I love her smile, her laugh, and the way she can always cheer me up. I love how we can spend every moment with each other and never get bored. I feel like she is my other half in this world and more than I could have ever dreamt of. But if I had to choose one thing it’s how she can always make me smile.”

I asked the couple how they met. Karly shares, “On the Hinge App! We were both living in the Dallas, Texas, area and matched on Hinge and started talking, and the rest is history! We talked on the phone almost every night for the next few weeks and met for tacos as our first date. My first impression: “Ooh, he’s cute!” Jackson adds, “I thought she was very pretty!”

For their first date they went to Torchy’s Tacos. Karly adds, “I was nervous to meet him in person, but felt so comfortable when I saw him. I remember I had never been to Torchy’s before and I ordered three tacos and realized quickly that it was way too much food and very spicy! But Jackson had no judgment and offered to refill my drink when I told him it was too hot. We talked for hours after eating our meals and stayed pretty much until the restaurant closed.”

Karly shares when she knew Jackson was the one for her, “When he built my new bed frame from IKEA (he works there) about 3 weeks into our relationship! Also when he sent flowers to my house when I was sick. I still have one of the flowers from the arrangement he sent. It was the first time he sent me flowers.”
Jackson added, “When we went kayaking a couple weeks into our relationship and my kayak sank because it had a hole in it and I had to swim back to shore while she towed my kayak behind hers. After all that, she didn’t judge me and reassured me that I shouldn’t be embarrassed.”

Karly shares the proposal story, “Jackson proposed on the top of Lookout Mountain in Golden, Colorado. Our friends from Houston, Texas, were visiting and told me that they wanted to go take pictures in the mountains. I thought nothing of it. My friend Ashton asked what I was wearing and I said “I don’t know, a t-shirt and jeans?” I wasn’t planning on taking any cute pictures, just taking them to a good spot. To which she replied, “Oh, I really wanted you guys to be in them too!” So I put on a dress and braided my hair (still not realizing anything out of the ordinary) and we drove up to Lookout Mountain.

When we got there, we walked down to the lookout and our friends stayed up at the top of the lookout while Jackson and I stood at the bottom together. I started taking pictures of the beautiful view and he knelt down and asked me to marry him! Of course I said yes, I was so surprised and excited! After I said yes, I turned around and our parents were hiding in the bushes and had flown in from Texas and New Jersey to be there with us. I was so surprised and was crying happy tears the whole time. It truly was so unexpected and the very best surprise.

Jackson had asked one of his co-workers with a nice camera to come and capture the moment, and she got confused about where to go and wasn’t actually there to take pictures for the moment when we got engaged. BUT there was another photographer randomly at the lookout that took a video of the whole thing and took pictures too. He was not part of the plan, so that was really funny! He met us at a local Walgreens to give us the photos afterward!”

Jackson shares, “Colorado means a fresh start for us. Living in Colorado has always been a dream for me and being able to live that dream with my favorite person has been a dream come true. It gave us an opportunity to write our own story.” Karley continues, “It hasn’t been easy transitioning from out of state where none of my family or any of our friends are located, but Colorado has been so beautiful and I feel so lucky that we’ve had the chance to experience its beauty. Now we have a whole new reason to love this place! It’s where we started our next chapter and where we will get married!”

The couple plans to get married in Colorado most likely in the spring of 2027. They are hoping for a garden wedding with a rustic/modern twist with lots of fresh flowers and spring colors. When I asked Jackson about plans for the wedding he said, “Whatever she wants!”

The couple also shared what they love most about each other. Karly shares, “I love how genuine he is and how passionate he can be about the people and things that he loves. I also love how logical he can be in situations that seem impossible. He’s always there to help me find a solution or get through the tough times. There’s nothing more I could ask for in a husband! He’s also funny, so that’s a perk!

Jackson shares, “I love how supportive she is of me and our relationship. No matter what stage of life we are in, she always pushes me to be a better man, but also lets me know when it’s okay for me to stay right where I am.”

Jeana shares, “We have known each other since when we were little. He was the boy next door. It feels like I’ve known him forever so it’s all a blur from when we first met.

Sage and his brothers would come over to play and hang out up until we were about 9 or 10, but it wasn’t until a Mother’s Day in 2019 that we reconnected. My family went down the street to my grandma’s house for dinner. My two brothers and I were outside playing football with Sage’s two brothers and I said we should get Sage so the teams could be even. We were waiting and then I turned my head when I heard the door open and out came Sage. I felt my face heat up and my heart started to race. My grandma calls it a zing! I ZINGED!

Later that evening I got the nerve up to ask him for his Snapchat, and now the rest is history!”

Jeana continues, “I knew Sage was the one when he treated me differently than all the other boys I talked to. Even though I was 15 years old, I knew I loved him when he treated me with kindness and gave me security.”

Sage proposed during a trip to Pagosa Springs. Jeana shares, “We went to hike a waterfall named Treasure Falls, and he proposed in front of the waterfall.

We do not have a venue picked out just yet, but the big day is May 1, 2027. The vibe of the wedding is old money with a vintage twist. The attire will be black tie, and all the guests will be wearing black and the wedding party will be wearing gold and black.

There will be a front row seat for our childhood stuffed animals, that Sage and I have had since our childhood, since they have been there watching us grow. We will also have our two fur-babies included as our ring-bearers.

I am most excited for celebrating us, and becoming one as husband and wife.”

I asked them what they love most about each other. Sage shares, “I couldn’t possibly explain to you what there’s not to love about her. She’s the kindest, most generous, honest person I have ever met. She’s absolutely wonderful with kids. She’s basically a mom to her siblings, even me lol. I love that she’s always there for me. And it doesn’t matter who you are. She will always go out of her way to help you.”

Jeana responded with, “He has the kindest heart. He is always there when I need him, whether it’s from a friend or a partner point of view. I adore his personality, he makes me laugh even when I am down, and he knows how to protect me in situations that make me feel small. He supports my traits even when it’s different from others, he sees the beauty in me, which in turn makes me the luckiest girl.”

Congratulations to Jeana and Sage!

Kassandra shares, “Our first impression of each other happened at Cars & Coffee on Saturday May 1st, 2021. We started talking about cars and it was easy to tell that there was something special. My first impression of David was that I thought he was really cute and funny so I introduced myself and we walked over to the coffee tent. David was really impressed by my knowledge of cars!

Our first date was one Friday evening in the summer. David asked me to meet him for boba. We both drove our cars to a Pearl Street parking garage in Boulder where we watched the sun set over the Flatiron mountains. 

My dog, Finn, does not like men and when David first came over to my house Finn was instantly attached to David! I was surprised because Finn barks and lunges at men and this time Finn wanted to sit next to David all night.”

Kassandra shares, “David proposed at Loveland Lake Pass Trail. He had planned a beautiful picnic next to the lake with wildflowers and hummingbirds all around us. It was cloudy and raining as we walked around the lake. After David set up the picnic, he asked me to marry him and the clouds opened up to reveal the sun!

After the rain let up, it went perfectly to plan! We were surprised by all the hummingbirds at such a high elevation. 

We celebrated by drinking champagne, putting on our Lederhosen, and spending the weekend in Vail at Oktoberfest!

After our engagement photo session, we went to Clear Creek Cidery. One of our first weekend getaways was at Idaho Springs and we went on a date night there. It was special having the opportunity to go back after getting engaged!”

I asked Kassandra and David, when and where is the big day? And they replied, “We have no idea! But we know it will definitely be Summer 2027. We want an elegant mountain wedding in Estes Park with tons of flowers, greenery, and soft pink shades. David and I really love dinosaurs and are planning on adding little touches like dinosaur place card holders.”

Jordan shares, “We met on Hinge, and from the moment I saw Susan’s smile, I was hooked. We immediately hit it off over our playful debate about pineapple on pizza—she was all for it, and I’m still convinced it doesn’t belong, but it was one of those silly moments that set the tone for everything that followed. Our first date was at “Forget Me Not,” a cozy cocktail bar where we stayed until closing time, lost in conversation and laughter. Her sense of humor was contagious, and the way she could make even the simplest topics entertaining was an instant spark for me.

I knew Susan was the one during our first trip to Hawaii, when she was graduating with her doctorate. We spent time exploring and celebrating, but what stood out to me most was how much she cared for the people around her. Everywhere we went, I saw how she’d touched others’ lives, offering support, encouragement, and genuine kindness. It was in those moments, watching her interact with people who clearly admired and respected her, that I realized just how special she was. Her positivity, warmth, and ability to make the world a better place made me certain I wanted to spend my life with her.”

Susan continues, “Jordan and I met on Hinge. I like to poke fun at the fact that he moved very quickly to ask me on a date, but I knew that he was someone I wanted to get to know more when we spent six hours on our first date and closed down the bar. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed more! Jordan was incredibly easy to talk to and hilarious. We actually ended up seeing each other four more times over the week and went bowling and shared drinks and meals. I joke that my social battery was drained by the end of the week, but I think it says a lot that we saw each other as much as we did. I liked that Jordan was direct about making plans, and the literal definition of “if he wanted to, he would.”

I knew Jordan was the one when we moved in together about a year and a half into dating. I’ve lived alone for over half my life and am so particular about my space (Jordan will tell you my favorite store is The Container Store, if that’s any indication), but it was, and is, so fun. I love the ways that we’re in sync in the kitchen and pretend we’re on cooking shows (like shouting “Yes, Chef!”) while we make dinner together; how he always, but sometimes begrudgingly, makes coffee in the morning while I’m getting ready for work; and how he will always match the socks when doing laundry because it’s my least favorite chore. I honestly thought I’d get sick of living together two weeks in, but coming home to Jordan is the best part of my day. Now I can’t imagine a home without him in it.”

Jordan shares the story of the proposal, “I proposed to Susan during a trip to Japan, but getting the ring there proved to be a bit of a challenge! Susan is incredibly observant, and she’s always trying to be helpful, whether it was trying to charge my devices from my backpack where I was hiding the ring or asking why I got a couple extra questions when attempting to get the ring through customs, to which she noticed and immediately asked, “What did they ask you?” This forced me to quickly come up with a lie, telling her they’d just asked where I was flying from. I could tell she was suspicious, but I managed to keep the surprise intact!

The proposal itself came on a hike through the iconic Fushimi Inari Torii Gates. I knew it was the right moment, so I had to find a way to sneak the ring out without her noticing. I distracted her with a random pond, and while she was taking it in, I got down on one knee. When she turned back around and saw me, the look on her face was priceless! We celebrated in our own way, by climbing some seriously steep stairs involved in the hike and finishing the night with a nice omakase meal. It was a funny, adventurous, and unforgettable day. The views were breathtaking, and I’ll never forget the happiness I felt in that moment.”

Susan adds, “Jordan did a great job convincing me that the proposal wasn’t going to happen in Japan, and even convinced my best friend to text me about it the night before we left on our trip to throw me off from his plan! The big moment happened when we branched off the main path to the top of Mt. Inari, and were in a quiet sub-shrine. I was about to continue on our trail when he asked me to come back and take a picture of a pond that was peaceful, but a bit overgrown. Jordan doesn’t often ask for photos, so I couldn’t resist saying yes, both to taking the photo and to his proposal!

It was just the two of us, incredibly serene, and absolutely perfect. We stopped by Kodai-ji Temple later that day, which is a temple that is said to grant a happy married life, so it felt pretty serendipitous that the engagement happened that day. Jordan also complied with my engagement “requirement” of celebrating with omakase. We had dinner at Miki, which was a random hole-in-the-wall find in Kyoto! We loved it so much that we went back the next night.”

Planning the engagement session came naturally. Susan shares, “My vision was quintessential Colorado because it’ll always be home to us and where our story began, and what’s more quintessential than mountain views or Boulder? We’ve done some hikes in the Boulder area and often visit Pearl Street when we have guests in town. We usually stop by Gelato Boy because of our love of ice cream, and we love that we were able to incorporate that into our shoot. I also used to live in New York and just adore how the brick and storefronts give a very SoHo vibe. Jess suggested Lost Gulch for our mountain backdrop, and when we saw photos, we couldn’t say no to the breathtaking views! 

For our outfits, we went with a casual look and a formal look. In our casual outfits, we wanted a playful reference back to our engagement by incorporating customized sneakers that we got in Japan from Onizuka Tiger. When we were shopping for our sneakers, it took quite some time, from waiting in long lines to finding matching pairs that had both of our sizes, but we loved that we were able to add a touch of embroidery to them to truly make them special. After many, many Amazon packages and returns to Whole Foods to find the right thing to wear, we were able to pull everything together for our outfits. I will note a hint of envy here for Jordan popping into a store and finding three shirts that fit him handsomely.

We’re so fortunate that the weather held up. I feel like I could probably be a meteorologist now with the number of weather apps I was using to track the impending rain, but we ended up (luckily) having a rain-free day with a pretty incredible sky! We really appreciated Jess’s guidance and direction throughout the day to help us feel comfortable, camera-ready, and confident! 

Sushi is my go-to meal (which Jordan lovingly tolerates), and it was pretty perfect that a Japanese revolving sushi chain, Kura, just opened a Boulder location. It was a great callback to our Japan trip and engagement!”

After our city photos we took a drive up Flagstaff Mountain to continue the engagement photography with a stunning mountain view. Lost Gulch Outlook provides sweeping views of the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.

Susan shares, “Our big day will be September 5, 2026! We’ll be getting married at Brittany Hill by Wedgewood Weddings right outside of Denver, and we absolutely love the indoor-outdoor spaces and the beautiful backdrop of both the Flatirons and the Denver skyline! 

We’re planning for a romantic, soft vibe with purples and neutrals. It’ll be a “destination wedding” for most of our guests because we’re both from out of state. It’s rare to have our whole community in one place, so we’re excited to celebrate our love with our loved ones! 

We’ll also be incorporating a Chinese tea ceremony into the wedding day. It’s a way to honor the elders in our families by serving them tea, but I just love the deeply personal moment with each of the elders (parents, aunts, uncles). I’ve been envisioning my own tea ceremony for most of my life, and got to help with my sister’s when she got married last year. She’s letting me borrow some of the pieces from her tea ceremony, which includes a double-happiness (囍) sign that my dad made for her. It feels nice to be able to incorporate aspects of family into an event that is a part of my heritage and culture.”

Their love for each other is so easy to see. Susan adds, “Jordan is an introvert, but I don’t think he realizes how much he lights up a room. He has an incredibly infectious laugh and warm smile that are magnetic and remind you to be present with your joy. I love that we can navigate serious spaces together and be super silly and engage our inner child.”

Jordan continues, “Susan is the kindest soul you’ve ever met. She’s always willing to go the extra mile (or ten) to make sure everyone feels special. She makes me feel like the most important person in the room every day of my life.”

Something interesting about the two of them is that they have been doing Wordle almost every day since the beginning of their relationship, which is at least 1,460 Wordles in the last four years! 

Congratulations on your engagement, Susan and Jordan!

Callista shares, “We met during the summer of 2019 working together as lifeguards. We instantly hit it off and spent the whole summer together. I first noticed Hunter’s appearance and how handsome he was. I fell in love with his sense of humor as soon as we spoke.”

Hunter continues, “About 5 months after the summer we met had ended and I was in college we started talking again. Callista asked to come see me while I was studying for my degree. The night she arrived we talked for a long time and I realized I had found a woman who pushed me to be a better version of myself. That night I knew I could see myself with her and told her I loved her. 6 years later here we are getting married and settling down!”

Callista shares the proposal story, “I planned a little “glamping” getaway weekend in Monument. We spent the weekend relaxing together and enjoying nature. On Saturday we planned to go hiking at Garden of the Gods, where he led me down a path to a lookout spot and proposed! It was a complete surprise, but it was perfect and intimate. He had his aunt hide in the nearby bushes and capture the moment!
The weather forecast showed rain, which would’ve been fine, but he was freaking out on the way there and wouldn’t tell me why! I didn’t figure it out until afterwards. Luckily the day was beautiful and sunny!

Hunter continues, “After going through major life changes, multiple moves, animals and family tragedies, I realized that there was no one else by my side getting through it and truly understanding our path.

I struggled for a while trying to find a perfect spot and to get all of the details together.

I walked Callista up a path at Garden of the Gods to a place beyond the walking paths and fence where the mountains where in the background. I caught her completely off guard doing so and it took a second to get my words out, but we stood talking for a little and coming to a realization of our future together.”

Katie and Peter were so full of joy and love it and we had so much fun during their shoot.

The couple will be getting married in Glenwood Springs, Colorado in August 2026. Congratulations Katie and Peter!

Calista shares, “We chose lookout mountain because it’s one of Jonathan’s favorite spots for the views of the front range. We’ve also taken most guests that have visited to Lookout so when telling people where we got our photos taken guests they will recognize this beautiful location. 

Colorado is a special place. I have some family here and Jonathan has some family friends here that he’s known his entire life. Also, he loves to ski! After a couple years together, I was able to make it down the blues (intermediate-level slopes) with him too. It’s where our relationship changed from “long-distance, let’s just see where this takes us” to a more serious relationship!” 

Calista shares, “Jonathan and I met in 2020 through a mutual friend group. Many hangouts that summer spent playing disc golf together, followed by sonic after, resulted in an easy friendship with no expectations or goals of pursuing a relationship. 

We connected over our open minds, endless conversations, and how effortlessly we could joke and laugh about everything. Being around each other felt natural, like we could truly be ourselves without ever feeling judged.

After that summer, life took us on our own separate journeys. Jonathan moved to Madison, Wisconsin to start his career, while I stayed in Houston to finish school to become a teacher. In the summer of 2021, we met up as friends at Summerfest music festival in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and then visited Madison again later that year. It was during that visit in November 2021 that we started dating.

I moved to Denver in January of 2022 and we dated long distance for 8 months before Jonathan moved to Denver. Long distance gave us more time to explore our relationship with less pressure, while also looking forward to FaceTime calls and visiting when we could. In June of 2023 we got a place together and we’ve been living life together since! “

Calista and Jonathan’s proposal happened during a spa day in Downtown Denver celebrating the end of the school year and start of summer. Calista continues, “What was going to be just a time to relax together ended in an engagement! It was something we had talked about for a few months and turned into more of a “let’s do the damn thing” versus a more traditional formal proposal. Having lived together for nearly two years and having talked about it already, nothing felt too different other than the excitement of planning a wedding and sharing with family.”
 

Jonathan loves Calista’s caring heart and Calista loves Jonathan’s open mind and listening ear. They are both plant lovers and have many plants. Calista shares, “We have plants that we share and plants of our own that we’ve had before living together. Our plants have names and we enjoy joking about them together and whose plants are doing better ha!”

Calista shares, “The big day is September 6, 2026. We are going for a modern and rustic look in the outdoors with wood tables, lavender, green, white and a touch of peach for the flowers. I have loved purple my entire life. Jonathan loves the outdoors, the venue captures the outdoors with the outdoor venue surrounded by trees creating an intimate setting for the ceremony

We are most excited to see all of our family come together and have a big celebration with all of our people!  I will also have some touches to honor my dad who is heaven.”

Anni shares, “Danny and I actually met on Hinge! I had moved to Denver for a travel nurse contract, and one of my girlfriends out here convinced me to try the app so I could get out and meet people and do the Denver activities. Danny had also downloaded Hinge for the first time which still blows my mind but, yep, it all started with Hinge and going to my first ever hockey game (Avs won the Stanley Cup that year, just saying). The app truly was meant to be deleted for us lol so thank you, Hinge!

Danny has a really pretty backyard which over time became kind of our spot. We’ve had so many big conversations back there from “I like you, please stay in Denver” to “Danny, I am staying in Denver for us” to “I love you.” So it was super fitting that he proposed to me there. It was just us, I was in pajamas with my Starbucks in hand, and he totally surprised me. It was super sweet, low-key and honestly just so us.

Our wedding was EEEK the best day ever! I know people say stuff always goes wrong at weddings, but somehow everything just worked. The whole day felt full of love, you could really feel it in the air. My bridesmaids looked stunning, Danny looked so handsome (so did the groomsmen), the speeches made us cry-laugh and the dance floor was wild in the best way. Danny always said it would be the one night where all the people we loved would be with us in one place and I think we both truly felt that love and support from our friends and family!”

The couple got married earlier this year. I asked Anni about the best thing about being married. She shares, “Honestly, it is just so fun! I married my best friend, so being married kind of feels like one long hangout session with your favorite person. I know people like to call this happy time the “honeymoon phase” but we’ve moved past that and now it’s just cozy and happy vibes all around!”

For my wedding photography collections I have started offering an “adventure session.” Everything is customizable and it is not for everyone, but it is perfect for the couple who wants to go to a special location for photos, but can’t quite fit it into their wedding day timeline. For example, if you get married in the mountains and there is an incredible waterfall about 45 minutes from your venue. It might be too hard to plan the travel into your day, but it would be really fun to go for a day-after-the-wedding shoot! I’m there! It could also be used for the day after a city wedding when you want some mountain view photos to include in your gallery.

Audrey shares, “We loosely knew of each other through mutual friends. I was an intern in my senior year of college, Paul was working at Weidner Field, the soccer stadium, in Colorado Springs. Since he is two years older than me, he had already graduated from college. The company I was interning at was holding an event at Weidner Field. While setting up for the event, we had a classic me-exiting-the-elevator, Paul-entering-the-elevator moment, and we physically ran into each other. We both were like, “hey? I sorta know you!” He asked for my number and I gave it to him. Given I was in my last year of college, living up my final moments with my girlfriends, I didn’t exactly make getting that initial date easy haha. He would text and ask and, while I was interested, I was busy with my friends and also playing college lacrosse…but finally I said yes! 

Our first date was at Viewhouse in Colorado Springs. There was certainly an initial spark! Something funny about the date is that I showed up without my wallet…no ID or form of payment on me, completely not on purpose! I realized on the way there and just thought, well, we’ll see how this goes-ha! I told him once we sat down thinking, oh my gosh, this guy is going to think I’m a total mess and he just laughed and said, “I’ve been asking you out for so long there was no way I was going to make you pay for this date,” totally melted me away! We had SO much in common, instant spark. I thought to myself, I wish I didn’t push this date off as far as I did!” 

This might be the coolest dog I’ve ever met. Audrey shares, “Goose is a long-haired Dalmatian. We got him from a breeder in Kansas on July 2nd 2023. We originally discovered the breed via the internet and knew that would be such a cool and beautiful dog. Getting Goose was our first road trip together, just us two, and we were so excited. It was a great adventure. He is now 2 years old and we love him SO much. He is sweet, calm, shy, and sassy! He makes groaning and sighing noises when he doesn’t get what he wants, it’s pretty funny, he has a big personality.” 

Audrey knew Paul was the one pretty early on. She shares, “We were 1 month into dating and we were at Monarch Casino in Blackhawk, just us two. I had told some friends beforehand that I kept almost slipping up saying “I Love You” when he hadn’t said it yet. I didn’t want to be first haha, but I loved him. I remember thinking I love this guy so much and it had only been 1 month since we started dating. What is happening?! I knew I’d marry him.”

Paul knew it was meant to be on Valentine’s Day. He shares, “It was February 14, 2022. It was our first Valentine’s Day together. Everything came so easy, we just went to the mountains and I taught her how to snowboard. She made me do some TikToks, which were definitely out of my comfort zone, and I just thought how she so easily pushed me to better myself and try new things. I wanted that forever.”  

Paul proposed a few days before their 3-year anniversary. Audrey continues, “I was certainly surprised. I thought it was going to happen on our anniversary and him doing it before definitely caught me off guard. Our anniversary is January 21st (it was a Tuesday). We already had plans to go to Estes Park from the 20th to the 22nd.

The weekend before my friend, Lauren, was in town staying with us. It was Friday, January 17th. She suggested we go to a “pop-up bar” at the Daniels & Fisher Clock Tower on 16th Street. She suggested we’d be taking cute pictures so to do my hair and dress up a bit. We got to the clock tower and a lady was waiting at the bottom and asked, “Are you ladies here for the pop-up bar?” and she took us up.

We get to the top and Paul is there with music playing, red rose petals on the ground, candles lit, champagne, “marry me” light up letters…it was everything I had dreamed of! I definitely cried!

His friend flew into town to take pictures and my sister was hidden with extra clothes, makeup, and other essentials. After taking a bunch of pictures and enjoying the moment, Paul told me we were headed to a nice dinner. We pulled into BurnDown and admittedly I was a bit surprised–like ha? BurnDown? Well, it all made sense when we get to the second floor and all of our friends and family were there waiting. I started crying immediately (again). So many people flew into town to celebrate and it really meant the world to us. We celebrated all weekend long with friends and family and then got to enjoy our little getaway at Estes Park! We stayed at the Stanley Hotel. 

A funny moment from the day was that I thought I was going to a pop-up bar. After the proposal I asked Paul, “so is there really no pop-up bar?” hahaha!”

We finished up our two-hour session at the rooftop of a nearby parking garage. We had views of the Denver skyline all around us and it was time to pop some champagne! We tried a few trendy flash photos with a hint of nostalgia.

Capturing them laughing together and looking into each other’s eyes, their love for each other was so obvious. Paul shares what he loves most about Audrey, “How she always pushes me to do and be better. She is motivating yet serious, fun, and silly. She always knows when I’m in my head and she snaps me right out of it. She knows me better than I know myself.”

Audrey adds what she loves most about Paul, “Paul is so easy, fun, and silly. He goes with the flow and I love his easy-going energy. He is always down for an adventure, idea, or “vision.” He makes life so fun.”

Playing games and going for walks keeps their relationship strong. Audrey shares, “We randomly play “Ninja” with each other throughout the house. When one of us makes the motion to play, we have to stop what we’re doing and play it. It’s nice to break tension, re-ground, and get back to being silly! 

Everyday after work we leave our phones at home and take Goose for a walk. Sometimes it’s long, sometimes it’s short, but it’s time every day to talk, listen, and enjoy each others company.”

The couple is getting married on August 15, 2026 at the Wellshire Event Center. They are going for a formal, timeless, elegant vibe. They are most excited about marrying each other in front of all of their friends and family. And Audrey adds, “…also the dress reveal!”

The star of the show was definitely their dog, Spencer. I mean, just look at the face! And that bow tie.

This shot was pure luck. There are tons of chipmunks at Sapphire Point and this little guy came right up to say hello at the perfect moment!

Talia shares, “We met on Hinge. I thought he was very cute. He asked me about my favorite Harry Potter book (it’s Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban) and from there we just connected on a bunch of other things we had in common.” Kyle continues, “My first impression was ‘Wow.’ I immediately noticed how beautiful she is and how she carried herself. She was confident in who she was and she knew what she wanted.”

Talia continues, “Our first date was at Westminster Brewing Co. It was super fun and a great first date because we just got to talk, the weather was really nice and social distancing was still a thing so there weren’t a bunch of other people around us. I was also relieved that he was who he said he was and that I didn’t need my friends to create a fake emergency to get out of the date.” Kyle adds, “I remember on the second date I wanted to hold her hand so badly, but I was so scared. I didn’t end up doing it until the date was over lol.”

For Talia and Kyle, there were steps along the way that made them realize they were meant for each other. Kyle shares, “I don’t know if there was just one moment. I think it happened in a series of little moments – getting to know Talia’s deeper thoughts about life and her dreams on our second date. Talking to her for months and never being bored with the conversation. Meeting her parents for the first time. I just always felt so in tune with her and comfortable with who she is. I fell in love with every aspect of her.”

Talia adds, “I think for me it was a couple different times that really solidified he was the one. The first was when we got our dog, Spencer. Kyle wanted to wait a little longer to get a dog, but I had convinced him to check out an adoption event and when we met Spencer, we both knew we were coming home with a dog. The second was when he organized a trip to Cincinnati for my birthday so I could see Fiona the hippo.”

Kyle proposed at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo on October 26th, 2024, in front of the hippo habitat.

Kyle shares, “I love her for a thousand reasons but the biggest is that she makes me feel at home. It’s cliche but home is where the heart is and she’s my home. I feel safe, warm, and loved whenever I’m with her, no matter what’s going on or where we actually are.”

Talia continues, “I love how supportive he is. He has been my #1 cheerleader while I was getting my Masters and even now as I am embarking on taking the CPA (Certified Public Accountant) tests. He is so encouraging and always believes in me, even when I don’t believe in myself. I also love his sense of adventure. We have seen and done some great things so far and I can’t wait for more!”

Kyle shares, “We’ve played Catan against each other at least a dozen times and I’ve never won. In fact, I’m not sure I’ve ever won a board game against her.”

I asked if they had any advice or thoughts they’d share with other couples. They shared, “Marry your best friend. It is so so important to be friends before anything else.”

Choosing a location for their engagement photos was important. Talia shares, “We are both Colorado natives and it is something unique and something we’re proud of. We wanted to make sure to go somewhere quintessential Colorado. The top of the Continental Divide with snow-capped peaks could not have been a more perfect place.”

The alpenglow was in full effect creating the most beautiful warm light on the mountains.

The couple is getting married June 13, 2026 at the Della Terra Mountain Chateau in Estes Park.

Talias shares, “Our number one guiding factor is that we want our wedding to be a celebration. We recognize that this is a celebration about us, but it’s also a chance for us to celebrate the people who raised us, guided us, and loved us (and maybe a few who got us in trouble from time to time). So we want to express our gratitude to them and then have an amazing party to create new memories with them.”

One of the things Talia is most excited for on the wedding day is her father’s speech. She shares, “It is 100% going to be super embarrassing but also hilarious at the same time. Actually, we may have to give him a time limit and start playing the music they play at the awards shows if he goes over.”
