Jack is our little fireball. He is ready first thing in the morning and still up for anything at the end of the night. He is fierce on his scooter, flying around the park! He loves a little girl in his preschool and talks about her constantly. He is shy and reserved around new people but coming out of his shell!

Joey is our boy of opposites. He can be quietly playing by himself or he can be dancing around acting like a crazy person getting laughs from his brothers. He takes a while to open up but once he does he can be a little angel.

Jacob is still the sweetest boy in town! He loves and takes care of his brothers even when they are less than nice. He loves school and his school friends!

Halloween 2015

We had Jack14 (Star Wars Lego Character, Yoda and a bat!

We had friends at our house for chili then headed out in the rain to Trick or Treat. Luckily minutes after walking out, the rain stopped and we had a great time. Jack LOVED trick or treating and even said, "Treat" every time someone opened the door.

Peter Pan at the Ballet

We took a trip down to TPAC for the ballet. I decided to give the boys a little culture and test it out with Peter Pan, a favorite story of Joey's. We got dressed up and headed downtown with our friends. It was a crap shoot whether they would sit and enjoy the ballet. Luckily, they loved every minute of the show. Joey literally sat on the edge of his seat asking questions and pointing out details the entire time. We had a little snack at intermission and were able to watch the entire show without incident. It was a very nice experience. What show is next?

First ER Trip

Well it happened... we knew it was bound to happen and we KNEW it would be baby #3 to do it! We hit the ER for a smashed finger. Jack was throwing a fit and would not get in the car to go to school. I had to pick his fighting body up to take to the car. I closed the door with my foot and he reached back to grab it but the force was too strong and he smashed his finger. It turned blue and swollen right away so I rushed him over. Of course Joey was with us and it was his birthday! Luckily, the finger was fine but we were not out of there in under 3 hours. Josh was able to meet us over there and take Joey to school so he could share his birthday treat with his friends. And we all lived to tell the tale!

Joey is four!

Jo-Jo is four years old! Hard to believe this little dude is a big 4 year old! He is a calm, quiet guy but when he is ready to be heard, you can hear him from miles away! He enjoys playing with his brothers but likes to play alone too. Joey likes small crowds and takes a few minutes to get warmed up but is super fun to play with once he gets started. He wants to be a police officer in Africa (not sure why). Joey LOVES sweets! The only way to get him to eat dinner is with the prospect of dessert. We played a game where the kids got to eat donuts hanging off of strings with their hands handcuffed behind their backs. He took this game VERY seriously! Not one crumb wasted. He brings lots of laughs to our family.

Labor Day at Mammoth Cave

Aunt Melissa and Uncle Steve had to cancel their trip to Charleston because of flooding so we decided to meet at Mammoth Cave. We had a nice visit and a fun time playing with cousins even if Isla was teething! We went to Kentucky Down Under, Dinosaur World, and a boat ride through a cave.

Jacob is SIX!

We can hardly believe our first little baby is already 6! He is a wonderful brother, son and kindergartener! We enjoyed a lego party with 20 of Jacob's closest friends! Yes, we limited to just his closest friends. He is fast friends with everyone he meets and loves to have a lot of people around. Legos are his favorite toy and spends hours building and playing. Right now he wants to be a zoologist. He loves researching and learning about animals. This is one special kid!

First Day of School 2015

Well, Jacob is a Kindergartener! It is hard to believe that this day has come, but it was inevitable. Jacob is ready, which makes it much easier. He get to walk to school, has lots of friends already and is very excited!

Joey and Jack started school too! This is Joey's third year and Jackie's first! They were very excited and I only got a few tears from Jack.

Twooooo! That is how Jack says it! Our baby is growing up so fast. He loves his brothers, so much so that we had to transfer him into a big boy bed in the same room as his brothers. He could not stand to sleep in his own room anymore. Jack is a good eater for the most part but oh so opinionated. Like any two year old he thinks this is his world and we are mere servants in his kingdom. The child has no fear and is tough as nails he will fall down and jump right back up!

Jack is like Jake and really enjoys dig, digs and tools so we had a construction party! Some sand, trucks, tools and cake! It was a great time. Check out the pictures.

Lego Camp!

Jacob spent the week in Lego Camp. He went from 9-12:30 everyday and just built Legos! Every little boy's dream! Here are some of his creations...

This green eating lego recycler took two days but it moves and "eats" Legos- so worth it!

School Performance- Spring 2015

Jacob and Joey did their annual spring performance. Joey's class sang some songs they had been practicing in the classroom and Jacob's class sang songs about the beach and put on a little play as they sang. Jacob wants to be an actor so he took his role very seriously. The boys do not tell me a lot about what they do at school so it was very fun to see a little of what they are doing in the classroom. The school set up an art gallery in the courtyard and had some snacks as well.

Fire Station 2015

Went to our annual fire station trip. Jack was very excited although you could not tell. He was very somber looking but really he was just soaking it all in!

Sledding 2015

Oh boy, winter 2015 has not been kind to us. We had our first snowfall in January. We went out early for some sledding and by noon it was 50 degrees and melted! PERFECTION! But alas, February did not go so well. It has been cold and we had an ice storm. The ice storm did provide some slick slopes and a fun ride but it was really too cold to enjoy for long. We did not leave the house for 5 days, by choice because it was cold and dangerous out. It did provide some pretty pictures.

Jacob has really grown this year. No one can believe how tall he is or believe he has lost two teeth! He has started reading and is working hard on it! He loves pre-K and is adored by his teachers. He talks about Star Wars non-stop and plays legos all day! He is the best big brother in the world! He has been going to swim lessons, which are tough, but he thinks he will be ready to swim by the summer!

Joey is our introvert. It takes him a little while to come out of his shell but once he does he can be a wild and crazy guy! He is very sweet and caring. Joey's teachers tell us he is a good listener and always doing what he is asked. Joey can be a grouchy guy so sometimes we have to give him alone. He loves his brothers and his friends at school. And he is going potty like a big boy now!

Christmas 2014

December has been a busy month from The Polar Express Train Ride to see Santa, to Marvel Super Hero Show, to making cookies, school parties, and finally Christmas! What a way to spend the last month of the year! Our boys are getting so big but sweet as ever. We had a beautiful time playing with cousins and spending time with the family!

Atlanta Trip 2014

We decided to take a little family trip to Atlanta to go to Lego Land and the Aquarium. We drove down Friday after Thanksgiving and went to Legoland and Taco Mac for dinner. We spent the night and went to the Aquarium the next day. We had a great time! (Not a lot of sleep in the hotel room but still a fun time!)

Fall Festivities and Halloween

We love this time of year. The weather is beautiful especially coming off a hot end of summer. We hit a couple farms and had a lot of fun with friends. We picked some pumpkins and played with the animals. Halloween cooled way down and we froze while trick or treating but we were with good friends so it did't bother us. We had a fun filled October! Apple Picking- 2014

We went apple picking for a little fall fun. It has finally cooled down so we wanted to squeeze in apple picking before it was too late. The apples are ripe starting in August but it is just too hot so we made it out on the last day of picking. It was perfect out sunny and cool(er). It was a great day; Joey and Jack picked one apple each- sat down and ate them. Jake did all the work! He picked and picked and even climbed trees to get the good apples! We picked two bags of apples. It was a great time. After picking we sat down for a picnic lunch. As we were cleaning up to leave Joey decided to climb on one of the metal wagons' handles, next thing we knew Joey was screaming and blood was everywhere. We had to rush to the dentist because Joey knocked his two front teeth back into his mouth. He bit through his bottom lip as well and the tears would not stop. I rushed the entire hour drive to the dentist while Joey screamed the entire way. He was brave once we were there and the bleeding stopped. We have since found out that the two front teeth are "dead" and will have to be pulled. The fun day ended on a sour note but 3 boys and the oldest being 5- not too bad for our first "emergency!"

Joey's 3rd Birthday

Joey is 3! We cannot believe this little guy is 3 already, and either can he. He reminds us daily that he is still a baby and that he will not go potty! But that is ok, he has always been on his own schedule and we are just stand-byers in his world. Our little Joey is definitely an introvert and a big party is not his cup of tea. He did want to have a party but we kept it small. The morning of the party he told me he did not want any friends at his party but I had to tell him they were already invited and we would have to try to have fun with them. He did have fun and no fights, he just played alone. The only time we was not too happy was when we sang Happy Birthday to him. He had a very grouchy face and when I asked why he said, "I don't want no one to sing to me!" in his best southern accent!

Jacob's 5th Birthday

STAR WARS

Jacob has found Star Wars this year and he is absolutely obsessed. Of course, he wanted a Star Wars birthday party! His idea was Jedi Training. He developed an obstacle course for the party guests. The young Jedi had to go through Hot Lava, Lightsaber practice, cross the jungle and keep a balloon in the air with their lightsaber, then Destroy the Death Star! Jacob was very involved in the planning right down to what we should eat; sandwiches, tomatoes and homemade cake. We had a great time even with an unexpected guest.... Darth Vador!
