Jewellog's collection of eco-friendly wooden rings keeps growing. These unique and very affordable rings are hand made in Nicaragua, and are made from reclaimed wood that is left over from an FSC (Forest Stewardship Certified) furniture manufacturer. One of the best features of these wooden rings is that each has a slightly different shape and tone, a result of the natural variations of wood and the hand made aspect of their creation. It is this combination of factors that produces rings with a character that truly represents what they stand for: a respect for nature and its inherent one-of-a-kind quality.

Dolores Barrett is a San Mateo, California native who has had a long and outstanding career in fine arts. She started with a career in music, becoming a successful music teacher, pianist, and medieval music specialist. She discovered her talent for painting in 1999, leading her to become a prestigious fine porcelain artist. In 2002, Dolores came across dichroic glass while attending an art conference, and soon glass became her favorite material to work and experiment with. She now produces some of the most exquisite and unusual personal glass art wear the world has ever seen.

One of our favorite examples of our Fair Trade jewelry are the handmade rings produced by the gifted artisans from Newari, Shakya and Bajracharya clans in Nepal. The rings are made of certified .925 sterling silver, and their exclusive designs are only produced in this region. There are communities of talented artisans in certain parts of the world that traditionally produce jewelry of great quality and craftsmanship, but don't have access to markets that can get them out of extreme poverty.
