Our  Imitation Rhodium Chain #4: Round Bar Link Scalloped Chain is available once again.

If you recall, this is a brass chain with soldered oval jump rings between the 1×8 curved links. This chain is plated with an Imitation Rhodium finish, which is lighter than gunmetal or nickel, but darker than silver plate.

The oxidation on the chain is so pretty and this sterling silver chain really has a Sparkly and Shimmery look.

I' m hanging clusters of garnets to several of the links. Should look FAB!

Posting a new two strand necklace for the weekend. I used our small gunmetal cable chain mixed with our NEW Disco Chain in semi matte gold to bring a wee bit more attention to the Golden acorn bead cap with semi matte finish.

Czech bead size is 12 mm and is a dark capri blue!

This new finish in 24KT gold plate has a semi matte finish and looks fabulous giving you more acorn cap design possibilities. The 24 kt gold plate over brass gives you a premium product without a huge price tag. 

The dotted caps fit nicely with bicones and the airy open petal caps fit most 7mm-8mm round beads. Gold is big in high end jewelry and making a great come back in our beaded world.

Lariats are so stylish. Chain makes a great base for these necklaces providing strength and durability. I've made many lariats for keeps and give aways and to sell. I usually choose chains that have uniform link sizes large enough to wire wrap multiple beads and trinkets cause that's just the kind of girl I am. Nothing makes me happier than loading up the ends of the chains with many different colors, shapes and textures.

This picture shows off some left over AB2X crystals hanging from Antique copper chain with 4mm rounded beveled links. A great choice for lariats.

You can customize the length.. I usually use 32 inches to 42 inches of chain.. depending on how many times I want to wrap the neckline.

One of my favorite customers of all times *Meerah* designed this necklace and showed me her creation one day some time ago and it still rocks my world! I had a completely different plan when I sat down to make a bracelet over the weekend. My intentions were centered around a careful selection of favorite beads, buttons and small mementos to hang on some new vintage wash chain that just arrived. But as I arranged and rearranged I found myself less and less satisfied with the design.

On my very messy beading table were many rings and flat circular pieces – parts scattered about.  I started to add these to the bracelet and found myself enjoying the whimsical theme of this process more than the previous.

The links of this silver wash vintage chain open, which lends itself to even more possibilities. I used the open links as jumprings to add more length. Plus it added contrast to the circular theme. The chain is brass base, washed in a vintage silver plate. It holds a lot of weight so you can load up all your favorite beads and charms. Plus it has a great spiral texture that looks great antiqued!

Charming, easy to make, and doesn't take much in the way of ingredients to make these little capped trinkets. My guess is you probably have some large czech glass (12mm works great!) in a container waiting for such happiness.

This acorn brass plated cap has been beautifully plated with antique copper to show off the the lovely detailed pattern.

Earrings are great place to start but I also think these would look fab on chain for a necklace or chunky fall colored bracelet.

Met with the gals this past week for a night chock full of good eats, chatting and beading. We all kept busy stringing bracelets and necklaces, wrapping, pounding wire and designing. I was the least productive.. making only two pairs of earrings. Susan put her finishing touches on this necklace and I really liked it and was thrilled she let me show it off for this blog post.

The trio of beautiful stones are the centerpiece of this necklace. Organic, classic and modern all in one necklace. I love the use of two different styles of antique brass chain adding texture and asymmetry. Splendid!!

These earrings are must have additions to your accessories drawer. You start with fine Sterling Silver chain and end with a smooth teardrop sterling silver bead. The earrings are long and linear falling 3 inches in length but you could adjust this to your liking. Plus, they work up in less time to finish a load of laundry!! They are sleek, elegant and feminine all at the same time.

To make these you will need to know how to wire wrap a headpin and open and close a jumpring.

Really liked working with some new chain to make this funky bracelet. I loaded it with pressed glass and seed beads in bold bright colors that made a great contrast with black gunmetal chain #36.

Organic, bits of randomness and lots of rich color. It's been awhile since I focused on beading, arranging color and texture to my liking. I apprehended this new Lampwork pendant a few weeks back and needed to create something. Joining friends for bead night gave me the inspiration needed to create and finish (almost) this necklace.
