Holy moley, the mailman just delivered some sweet goods… our 2012 Pick for The Knot Best of Weddings Award!

This is our third year in a row receiving this award and we couldn’t be more humbled. I’m not sure if we should call this a Trifecta, a Hat-trick, Turkey, Three-peat, or just an amazing blessing.

Regardless of the term John decides to dance around the studio with, words can’t express how thankful we are to ALL our couples that took the time to leave us reviews and share some of their experience working with us!

Marissa & John’s Wedding | A family affair

Not only are we friends with the bride and groom, but the beautiful bride Marissa, also used to watch my sweet little Ellie! So this wedding was extra dear to our hearts! We could hardly wait to document this remarkable milestone.

Marissa and John’s wedding was not only a celebration of their love and commitment to one another but also to their newborn Son, Logan (who by the way, looked so perfect in his tiny tux).

After over a year of planning, the wedding day was upon us. Everyone got ready at the Newcastle Golf Club and when it was time for pictures, we hopped in a golf cart and drove around the grounds for some historically breathtaking views and of course a few pictures.

Before long it was ceremony time. It was a beautiful ceremony as the sun started to set over the distant, Downtown Bellevue, when suddenly (almost as if on que) the bag piper started playing out on the green. I guess this happens at sunset each night, and if it had happened just a minute earlier or later, it would have been a disturbance to the ceremony, instead, it happened just as they began to light the unity candles.

I am so thrilled for Marissa & John-it was a perfect day! Congratulations to you both and thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your lives and for trusting us to capture such an important day. We love you guys!

Seth & Laurie | A Royal Wedding

Seth and Laurie were married on the Royal Argosy on a beautiful June day. The sun was out, the sky was blue and the view was impeccable! Their ceremony was held on deck of the Royal Argosy and performed by who other than the captain of the ship! Immediately following their short and sweet ceremony, we departed the docks to cruise around the sound, giving us a breath-taking and beautiful back drop of Seattle, Mt. Rainier and the Cascade Mountains. A beautiful wedding for a beautiful couple. Congratulations Seth & Laurie!

If I was only give a single word to describe the Clark family, without a doubt I would have to go with “fun”! I had so much fun photographing this family and even more fun hanging out with them!

Alisa has become a good friend and her talent (she is a fabulous hair and make up artist) has been a big part of my recent boudoir session success!

Marissa & John | Maternity session

A little behind but so worth the wait! Back in April I had the pleasure of photographing our good friend Marissa & John’s maternity session. Then just last month, they welcomed their beautiful baby boy Logan to the family! Or as my daughter likes to call him, Baby Lo Lo. We are so thrilled for John and Marissa on the arrival of their little bundle and just had to share some of our favorite images from their maternity session and of course of brand new baby Logan.

Collen and Aaron were our first wedding of a busy 2011 season… what an awesome start it was!

Saturday morning started with a trip to Gene Juarez in Seattle, then across the street to the Chanel makeup counter at Nordstrom.

The wedding ceremony was held at St. Anne’s in Seattle, such a beautiful church… we love it there! Then we headed to Shilshole Beach club, it has views of the lighthouse where they got engaged. Family & friends from near and far, had a great time, as did we! Congratulations Colleen & Aaron. We are so grateful to have been there to capture this amazing day!
