How cute is this family?  I actually met them at an Indian wedding in Chicago.  Drawn to their amazing good looks we discussed a family portrait session here in California as they live in San Diego.  I am currently trying to get the little boy signed for modeling or acting, I mean who could refuse such a face?

It’s Official!!  Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!  From the bottom of my heart Three Thank You’s for  winning both of these goodies three times now.  It feels nice to be appreciated!  I put my clients first, (even before sleep)  Here is my page on The Knot.  I feel like a kid today!

 Yay! Finally! Another perfect wedding and one of my favorites of the year!  So much to say!  I was thrilled when the lovely couple, Bryan and Cecilia made the decision to work with my studio.  Not only are they perfect and fun to work with…I love, love, love this venue.. Don’t you?  The Walt Disney Concert hall was also designed by my favorite architect, Frank Gehry.  From what I understand as far as private events go, space is limited at the venue.. So it was even more of an honor to have shot one of the few weddings there in 2011.

The ladies got ready at the fabulous new JW Marriott in downtown LA, while the boys got ready at home.  One of the things I enjoy most about editing a wedding is (as well as the bride) getting to see what the boys were up to beforehand.  This time around I am really jealous.

The bride’s dress, designer the classic Badgley Mischka aside from beautiful was truly unique..My team and I were also super impressed by the Groom’s awesome custom made suit.

OK, I’m definitely impressed!!!  It’s not everyday that you get to be someone’s muse right?

I’ve been dying to blog this!  There were so many beautiful images to choose from it took a while to narrow it down!  So, my apology for the blog overkill, but I think many of them were necessary to tell the entire 3 day story!

My awesome team and I flew out Honolulu for this one!  (Am I a rad boss or what?)  Once again there are no words  to describe how lucky I am to participate in such a beautiful and emotional event!

The Mehndi (Henna)  was held at the Bride’s house.  The Sangeet and Wedding at The Royal Hawaiian in Honolulu  The Ceremony was as gorgeous as ever and had all of my favorite traditional elements.  Perhaps the most artistic moment for my camera was capturing the “Agni” (the sacred fire in the middle) around which the bride and groom perform their Saptapadi or Seven Steps to unify the marriage, against the backdrop of a beautiful Hawaiian Rainbow.  Yes I know that’s a run-on sentence, my favorite.. But I need some time to get this wedding published!  Enjoy!

“Could it be?”  I thought for a second when I saw The Knot Magazine on the caller ID.  “Nawww” they probably want something from me (oops). I CANT REMEMBER THE LAST TIME I WAS SO HAPPY TO BE WRONG!  I felt for the executive on the phone because I was screaming and jumping up and down like I was on the Price is Right.  My neighbors even came over too see if I was OK.  It was pretty awesome because she said I was the best screamer she had had all day and her dog even starting howling in unison in the background, haha.

My Studio was elected as one out of about a dozen of The Knot’s Best of Wedding Photographers in Southern California.  The official mention will be out in February in the 2012 The Knot Southern California Weddings Magazine

 I really owe this prestigious award to all of my fabulous clients for making my career so awesome and for continuing to also write fabulous things about my studio online!!!  My Studio was also Chosen in 2008 and 2009, and I honestly never expected another win.  I am looking forward to another great season in 2012!! Thanks Again to All of My Lovely Past and Future Clients!!!

Lucky Me! Another successful wedding shot this summer for “Team Awesome!” I am completely in love with this venue, the Saddle Rock Ranch in Malibu, Californ- I- A!. From vineyards to mountains, with creeks and lagoons, intimacy and elegance, it is also surreptitiously funky complete with zebras and more. I absolutely loved the open air reception, with chandeliers and a modern loveseat for the lucky couple, all against the stunning natural backdrop. The bride and groom, both of Palestinian decent, have a very cute story as well. Their common beliefs and passionate political activism brought them together while Leena was Studying for her Master’s in Rome, Italy, and Mohannad working in Dubai. The couple had decided to do the actual marriage ceremony prior to this amongst close family and friends before this celebration day. However, there was still a marvelous grand entrance where the bride was lead in by a horse drawn carriage and the groom followed by an entourage of men, drumming, horn blowing and chanting. The release of the doves was an excellent touch and I have so many more great photos of that moment! White doves have been released at weddings for centuries. Since they pair up for life they represent faithfulness, commitment, and everlasting love. As Mohannad and Leena release this pair it symbolizes the beginning of their new life together! The groom’s mother also gave special hand painted plates as wedding favors. Consequently it was her and her twin sister’s birthday, so you see them at the end receiving cake on the dance floor. I had the pleasure of working very close together with their families who were so sweet, thoughtful and hospitable. The only thing that made it even more perfect was the fact that the couple is absolutely gorgeous. We are working very hard at the studio to get this published!
