Didn't find much but loved these neon bracelets. I remember seeing them in Paris last fall and was happy to find them here in NY.

The best thing at the Capsule show was all the fashionable Japanese girls. This cutie had a killer camouflage Birkin bag with splattered white paint all over it. She looked at my neon bag and said, "Kawaii" which means so cute in Japanese. I would have swapped in a hot second!

Here We Go Again

My husband always makes fun of me because I start making my piles for travel sometimes days and even weeks in advance. Well this week should be no different. I layed out my first piles last Sunday with my BFF Lisa (and the voice of the Seaton Blog) and have been side-stepping through my closet all week. I finally put together some outfits so I could share them with you all (and remember what to wear) before they get stuffed into my new, beautiful Lipault Luggage (courtesy of my yoga beauties Nina P. and Jules for my birthday.) Many of you know that I am a migraine sufferer and when an unexpected rain storm hits So Cal, I am a miserable little girl. My morning recipe is Relpax (by prescription), Cappuccino, EmergenC, Pressed Juicery Green Alkalizer, Apple with Almond Butter and Dark Ray Bans!

Arrived at my office by 1pm...moving very slowly...

I am wearing Current Elliot Stiletto Jeans, Old Ralph Lauren Boots, Isabel Marant Marled Sweater with Suede Trim, Yves Solomon Jacket with Fur Collar (On Sale at JR NOW!)

and of course dirty hair!

Felt much better once my formula kicked in!

FYI: Some other migraine triggers are Red Wine, Dark Chocolate, Soy Products, Anything Fermented, Cured Meats, Aged Cheese...I have 13 years of self-help remedies if anyone needs suggestions.

Yoga has been a life-saver for me.

Off to Maha Yoga tomorrow to ease my tight muscles post-headache!

I could have worn this but it was too hot. Gryphon peacoat, J. Brand leggings, Alexander Wang Sweater, GG Sneakers and Jerome Dreyfus bag.

I ended up in this: Golden Goose Hunter Green Blazer, James Perse Tee, Goldsign Ripped Up Jeans, Jerome Dreyfus Python Max Bag, GG Sneakers (I love them with everything these days ~ Did you know they have a little secret wedge inside so you don't feel so short?) Stopped at BH to check things out before I headed to my office to see some new jewelry for holiday time...

Soooooo pretty and really well priced for gifts or for yours to keep.

I love them all stacked up together! In-store next week. Note to self: Make appt with Christie Kidd (http://christiekidd.com/) to laser hands after Hawaii.

Every 6 months I travel to NY for post Fashion Week buying. Every 6 months I fret about what to wear while I pound the pavement between appointments. I scour all my favorite blogs to see what the cool fashion peeps are wearing while they pound the pavement between fashion shows. Here's a few inspirational photos!!! Buon Giorno Capri!

I've been dreaming of this little island my entire life and I finally convinced Freeman that we NEEDED to go this Summer. Needless to say, we had planned to stay 4 days and ended up there for an entire week. We could have stayed longer! The photo above is the first thing you see as you step off the funicular.

We loved it here so much we came 3 days in a row!!!

I took the plunge and loved it!

We drank pitchers of the famous White Sangria before lunch.

Freeman got really good at chillin Italian style.

So I decided to do a little shopping.

What's kind of crazy is that my Mom used to look like her when she was younger and when I look at this photo it totally reminds me of her!!!

Frenchy Summer

Bienvenue à la Cote D'Azur!

After several rainy days in Paris, I packed up my junk and headed down to the South of France to stay with my friend Nina P. (as she's known in my house.) I blogged about Nina a couple of year's ago as she is the ultimate Seaton girl and how we were destined to be friends. Nina is fortunate enough to rent a flat in Villefranche-Sur-Mer every Summer and truly emerged herself into the Cote D'Azur lifestyle. I was fortunate enough to be her guest and enjoy the beauty of Southern France with my sweet yogini friend!

Our first beach day - warm, sunny, quiet...PERFECT!

Taking a stroll into the charming little town of VSM.

We were going to dine outdoors at a place like this...

But we were so happy to stay in, enjoy the view, a bottle of Rosé and eat super healthy instead!

Next stop: Plage Mala.

But before we get there, Nina informed me that we have to stop and eat the best Croissant & Pain au Chocolat in all of France.

So I happily indulged and I must say it's a tie!

My other fave is the bakery just outside Christina Z's apartment on the Avenue Mozart in Paris!!!

OK, here's plage Mala!!! Run fast down that pathway and jump in that water!!! A fantastic little beach club filled with chic sunbathers from all over the world. A gem of a beach in a little hidden cove!

A little shopping at La Dame de la Cote to end our day. The best beach frocks around. You know they will show up in the next Seaton collection.

How cute is this little truck? We were so upset that she wasn't open but evidently she just rolls up the side and sells her chic wares right there at the harbor! That's what I call "Low Retail Overhead!"

My last morning, Nina and I walked around the Cape and ended up at a beautiful little pebbly cove for a quick swim before heading to the Nice airport. I had such an amazing time with her this Summer and we are already planning next year's retreat! Note to self: Need to stay longer!!!

What to do on a rainy Summer day in Paris?

Madame Grès at La Musée Bourdelle

La Musée Bourdelle was spectacular and

in my opinion a perfect setting for Madame Grès' designs.

Who was Madame Grès? She was born Germaine Émilie Krebs in 1903 and was first known as Alix Barton and later as "Madame Grès." She launched her design house under the name Grès in Paris in 1942. She was formally trained as a sculptress and produced haute couture designs for women such as the Dutchess of Windsor, Marlene Dietrich, Greta Garbo and Jacqueline Kennedy. She was revolutionary in the design world for her immaculate draping technique. She was also one of Azzedine Alaia's major influences and clearly you can see the similarities!!!

These early gowns were used for films under the name Alix.

This dress and the next one are wool jersey which she developed with the mill.

Miami to Paris

But I am always happy to see this...

Spent the entire day walking around my favorite city so I wouldn't fall asleep.

Stopped at Simraine in Saint Germain to get another tablecloth because you can never have to many of these gorgeous block printed Indian prints and colors.

Had to check out the new Hermès Store on the Left Bank. All I can say is WOW! It's the most beautiful store with the coolest wood sculptures and on top of it they have a florist, a café and a chic book store inside. The building housed the original pool for the Lutétia Hotel and then later was the offices of the clothing designer Dorotheée Bis. I remember going there in the 90's with Charles Gallay for a fashion show to work an appointment.

My last stop was Cinquième Set (means 5th Set) which is the BEST little tennis shop in Paris. They carry the European stock of Nike so I needed to get my boys some prezzies.

Last week I saw a fantastic movie called Beginners with Ewan McGregor, Christopher Plummer and an adorable French actress named Mélanie Laurent. You may remember her from Inglorious Bastards. Anyway, I became obsessed with her French girl messy hair look throughout the movie and am determined to get her look. Throughout the film, she wore a bun, a side braid, dark roots, you name it! Definitely need to skip a few shampoos to achieve!

Perfect for a quick errand run or a dinner date. I am absolutely in LURVE with these little clutches everyone is carrying. They are mostly from Céline (duh) and Commes des Garçons but I know a special place where you can find one at a STEAL compared to these.

For the last week I have been concocting layered outfits in my head for my trek through the freezng city. Well lo and behold the weather in New York has miraculously warmed up to the mid-high 50's. Hallelujah!!!

This So Cal girl is very happy because I don't do well

below 40 F!!! Here's some of what I'm packing as of this evening.

Jenni Kayne cropped cashmere cardigan, Pendelton for Opening Ceremony dress, Jenni Kayne wool and fur coat, Frye motorcycle boots

(with tights of course!)

Suede Vince leggings, Golden Goose boots, Kain cashmere sweater, Rag & Bone hat, Kors vest.

NEW Golden Goose Moto boots, Vince suede leggings, Jamison sweater, Michael Kors Mongolian Lamb vest, Kain tee.

Current Elliott leather leggings, Frye motorcycle boots, Kain cashmere tee shirt under the Autumn Cashmere hoody, Blue Area Beatles cashmere scarf. Sorry, really bad photo!

J. Brand waxed cotton jeans (bad pic but they are kind of shiny dirty brown), Zadig & Voltaire sweater with sequin sleeves, Golden Goose boots, Jenni Kayne coat.

Gryphon Leopard wool skirt, tights, Frye boots again, J. Crew denim shirt, Michael Kors Mongolian Lamb vest, Epice wool scarf.

Isabel Marant Sweater with suede trim, Current Elliott jeans, either the Anniel ballet flats or my North Face boots (depending on the weather) and my vintage Fur coat ($50 find!!! Spent more on the repairs than the coat!)
