UPDATES about Stampin' Up! and Retired List

I am going to keep this post at the top of my blog for at least a few days and will add to it with any updates on the retired lists...stamps sets, accessories, etc. or any other updates from Stampin' Up! Item 4. below has a link of the Retired Accessories that I will be updated on a daily basis. The items marked in RED with the "X" in the far right column are sold out and no longer available.

1. CORRECTIONS TO LIST

Craft Scissors ARE NOT RETIRING!
Paper Snips ARE NOT RETIRING!

2. STAMPIN' PADS

You may have noted that all of the Stampin' Pads are listed. There are two reasons why:

(a.) Crafts Stampin' Pads will only be available in black and white;

(b.) With the introduction of the new 2012-2013 Annual Catalog is the introduction of a new Firm Foam pad for the Classic Stampin' Pads. These will offer a better ink coverage for a better stamped image.

3. OTHER

Only select Stampin' Write Markers will be available individually (Stampin' Write Markers in color collections will continue to be offered)
12" x 12" Textured Card Stock will no longer be offered
12" x 12" Smooth Card Stock will only be available in select individual colors and color collections

4. ITEMS NO LONGER AVAILABLE - Checking back on a daily basis to see the updated list of accessories. Stampin' Up! updates from all the orders received from the prior day. For example, updated 4/26/12 means that it has been updated from all the orders placed on 4/25/12.

Today is the day! Stampin' Up! released the retiring list for both the Definitely Decorative and the Accessories that will be retired on May 31, 2012. Time to get out your wish list to see if any of your favorate accessories are retiring.

SPECIAL NOTE: I am sure this year will be the same as past years, in that the retiring accessories go quick. So if you want any of the accessories, shop now.

Too Many Stamp Sets Retiring? - New Catalog Information

Have you had a chance to look at the Retired Stamp Set list? If you have, you might be thinking that there are too many stamp sets on the list. What is going on at Stampin' Up!? The quick answer is that Stampin' Up! has made changes to the new annual catalog and the catalog program. Here is a little bit of information that I can share with you.

Most important, the new annual catalog will be released June 1, 2012, WHICH MEANS the current 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalogs are good only through May 31, 2012. Yes, this is a month earlier!
Stampin' Up! will no longer be producing a Summer Mini Catalog. OH NO! But wait...there will be two seasonal catalogs, the Holiday Catalog and the Spring Catalog, and these catalogs will be a little bigger and will be around a little longer too!

Stampin' Up! Retiring Stamp List...Coming Soon!

Wow, seems like April is going to be a busy Stampin' Up! month. I have a lot of information to share with you today, so I will just jump right in with the list of items for today.

1. It is getting near that time of year again, however Stampin' Up! is releasing the retiring stamp list early this year to accommodate some changes with the 2012-2013 Idea Book & Catalog. April 15th is the release date and I will post the list as soon as it is available.

2. Would you like to be one of several winners? I am having a retiring list contest which will end April 13th at midnight Eastern Standard Time. Happy Halloween

It is October 31st which means...Happy Halloween. If you would like to read more about the origin of Halloween check out History.com. I sent this Sock Monkey Happy Halloween card to our little Michigan girls earlier this week. Why I Love Working For My Boss!

Did you know today is National Bosses Day? Happy Bosses Day! Since it is Bosses Day, I thought I would share with you why I love working for my boss. I have the greatest boss in the whole wide world.

Fun to be around (most of the time).
There is much laughter at things that are said and done.
There is teasing without worry of feeling being hurt.
Total openness without worry of being fired.
A great teacher.
Freedom and empowerment to work on my own projects.
Allows me to set my own hours.
Always there to help me figure out problems.
Allows me to have control over my own future.
Allows me to se my own pay.

Now really, could you ask for a better boss? So Happy Bosses Day...to me!

Happy Columbus Day - Stampin' Up! Style

In honor of my Italian-American heritage, how could I not recognize Columbus Day. Some of you might think I am a little late in saying this because you may have had the holiday on Monday, but today is actually Columbus Day. It is celebrated on the second Monday in October, but it was October 12, 1492 when Christopher Columbus landed in the New World. The celebration of Columbus Day became an official federal holiday in 1937. So I say...Happy Columbus Day.

Here is my Happy Columbus Day Stampin' Up! Style. This is for my wonderful St. Angelo family. This is a very special picture that was taken last year at the debut of the movie about my family, "George, Gordon, and Doug St. Angelo: A Look Back" a Patrick Cone File. It had been many year (and a lot of added family members) since the entire family had been together. This family photo has everyone except my Aunt Beatty who passed away a few years ago. I love you St. Angelos!

I used the Italian flag for my color choice and layout inspiration. I am going to frame this and give it to my dad.
