But then everyone needs a couple belated Christmas presents, right? Things are busy around here in AZ. Writing, recording and all the holiday stuff is a lot to juggle. Posting in general has suffered. Sorry about that. The new year will bring a better-updated blog. There was a significant change in my listening habits this year. I bought more vinyl than I have since high school, when the 7" seemed to rule. The collector nerd in me is making resurgence. The one thing I wish more labels would do is to provide a lossles version when you buy an LP instead of just the mp3 files. I am sure higher sample/bit rate music is around the corner anyway. So, here are my favorite/most listened to albums for 2008.

frightened rabbit- The Midnight Organ Fight. This was my favorite album of the year. Such a great combination of writing and delivery. One of the best live acts I got to see this year as well. I am really excited to see what 2009 brings for these guys. It was too hard to decide a hierarchy for the others, so consider them all close 2nd.

It doesn't seem so long ago we driving around in the van, loading into the Fireside Bowl in Chicago or the Bottom Of The Hill in San Francisco, but I went digging and found proof! A stash of old photos from that time. I'll be posting some here and also on the Clarity website.

Yesterday we had a day off and today we rock. It's been a solid day. The venue, The Longhorn, is somewhat of a legendary place that's hosted almost notable alternative/punk/rock band in the past twenty years. We played here on the Futures tour and it's really nice to be back once again.

We found out that our upcoming show in L.A. sold out in a day. That's crazy. A big thank you to our L.A. fans for their support.
