I visited 2 great coffee shops in Boone, NC today. Espresso News roasts their own coffee and I was able to buy some green coffee beans there, Bali Blue Krishna. I roasted some when I got home and it smelled just like blueberries. I haven’t been able to drink it yet because it is resting now. The other shop was Alchemy Coffee, it was in a really cool bead shop. It was fun friendly shop with wifi and sitting areas for conversation.

This weekend I roasted a sample of what they are calling Blue Mt. I also got coffee from the cupping that was from Costa Rica that was roasted by Counter Culture Coffee in Charlotte and sold in Whole Foods. It was very good coffee and I was really enjoying it. This morning on my way to work I drank the Blue Mt., It is wonderfull so smooth and a pleasant aftertaste. Also this morning I had the Costa Rica in my thermos that I had been enjoying earlier this week. After drinking the Blue Mt. and then the Costa Rica, it didn’t taste as good any more. I guess I am getting spoiled.
