Exquisite Mexican Jewellery

Many of the finest jewellery pieces in our range of jewellery come from designers in Mexico. Why? Because the quality of the jewellery is second to none and the designs are original and distinctive. This silver collier is a good example.

We discovered two jewellery designers while holidaying in San Miguel de Allende, a small colonial town in central Mexico north of Mexico City, and immediately took a bag of their designs to Australia. That was nearly 10 years ago and today their work is exclusive to Jive in Australia.

This "pescado" necklace features a solid sterling pendant with a brilliant crystal gemstone hanging from a leather choker. It is a stunning design and wonderfully made by artisans in the designer's family jewellery factory near San Miguel.

Another favourite of our customers is this outrageously stunning sterling silver ring featuring a huge quartz gemstone created by another designer in San Miguel. This is not a ring to wear if you dislike attention but for those of you who want to look like a film star it is one to buy.

Unique and Distinctive Bracelets

We found these lovely bracelets while on vacation in Tanzania and immediately ordered them for Jive. They feature 50 metres of beautiful silk chord meticulously woven with .925 sterling silver beads and Tanzanite (a blue gemstone found only in Tanzania). All stones are ethically sourced and 100% conflict free.

An Elegant Lady

A very elegant lady came into the gallery this week and purchased this lovely matte silver and pearl pendant made by Bastian in Germany. It is a contemporary design, very chic and very feminine and our lovely customer was at least 80 years old.

It just goes to show that Jive has something for everyone!

An Old Romantic

Sometimes you are witness to something so special that even taking a picture feels intrusive…

A beautiful couple popped in to the gallery a few days ago for a little special something to celebrate their 55 years of marriage.

After finding the perfect silver necklace, I was just about to ask them if I could take their picture when he swept her into his arms, presented her with her necklace and gave her a big kiss! She blushed and called him 'an old romantic' and I faltered.

It felt much too rude to intrude on such a wonderful, spontaneous moment.

So instead to happy husbands and wives everywhere – congratulations -- we silently salute you!
