[NEWS] 130508 TVXQ to celebrate 10 year anniversary this year, opened the doors for idols who followed

2013-05-08T12:39:00.003+07:00

TVXQ debuted in back 2003, and they’ve come an incredibly long way.

The legendary group will be meeting their 10th anniversary this year in December, and now the boys men are more than just singers. Korean media outlet Newsen recently wrote an article chronicling how much the group has achieved over the years.

Yunho and Changmin have been active in both dramas and variety shows, and they’ve spread out from just Korea and Japan to all over the world.

Yunho has been sometimes criticized for his acting, but he showed much improvement in the recent drama, ‘Queen of Ambition‘. In the past, Changmin was never active in variety shows, but that’s changed recently and he has been a permanent panel member of ‘Moonlight Prince‘ and ‘Our Neighborhood Arts and Physical Education‘.

They then went onto create a record for themselves with a 5-dome tour in Japan, attracting 850,000 fans. They’re also have the privilege of being the first foreign artist to perform at the 72,300 seat Nissan Stadium. Of course, after that they’ll be heading toward the rest of the globe with their world tour.

It can’t be said that their road had some bumps along the way. They experienced the biggest pain when they split into halves with JYJ and TVXQ. But still, all five (even those who aren’t active under the TVXQ name anymore) broke out the road of ‘idol-dom’ for countless hoobaes that would follow in their steps.

[NEWS] TVXQ will be the first Korean singers to perform at Nissan Stadium.

2013-05-08T09:31:00.000+07:00

On April 30, TVXQ’s agency, SM entertainment reported that the duo will hold a concert for two days (August 17 and 18) at Nissan Stadium in Yokohama, Japan. This concert will be the final performance of TVXQ’s Live Tour 2013 Time and the first concert at which foreign singers perform at the stadium.

Nissan Stadium is a very large stadium that can accommodate up to approximately 75,000 people, and about 150,000 people are expected to attend during the two days of the concert. Singers who have performed at the stadium include such legendary Japanese singers as X Japan, L’Arc-en-Ciel, SMAP, and EXILE. A stadium concert is regarded as a next step up from an arena (or “dome”) concert, and only singers who rise to the top can give a concert at stadiums in Japan. TVXQ’s final performance at the stadium proves popularity in Japan.

It is expected that TVXQ will draw a total of about 850,000 spectators durintg the big-five dome tour and the final stadium concert. If so, TVXQ will have the record for drawing the highest number of attendees. The Japanese press, including Sankei Sports, have given major coverage of the news in such words as “splendid achievement” and “skyrocketing popularity.”

The concert tour began on the 27th for three days at the Saitama Super Arena (in stadium mode) amid 100,000 fans’ tremendous enthusiasm, and the concert will be hold at the Sapporo Dome on May 5; at Nagoya Dome from May 10 to May 12; at Fukuoka Yahoo Japan Dome on May 25 and 26; at Osaka Kyocera Dome on June 5, 6, 8, and 9; at Tokyo Dome from June 15 to 17; and finally the last concerts on August 17 and 18 at Nissan Stadium.

Also, TVXQ are planning to release a new Japanese single, titled “Ocean,” on June 12.

[NEWS] 130303 Tohoshinki's debut on Japanese drama! Their presence as if they're main characters

2013-03-05T13:07:00.000+07:00

It was confirmed on March 3 that Korean popular duo, Tohoshinki will appear for the very first time on Japanese drama "Saki" on Fuji TV(on air Tuesdays 10:00 p.m.). When the duo visited a filming, they're offered their part in drama and immediately their appearance as extra became true. They acted as customers who were enjoying cake at a café, however their presence was strong as main characters. They even managed to ad-lib easily. They requested eagerly "Please use us again if all we have to do is eating! Next time we'd like Japanese cuisine(smile)".

It was at a stylish café in Ebisu, Tokyo. When Syohei Miura(24) and Hideo Ishiguro(24) acting as magazine editors were about to interview at a café, the filming site turned upside down with surprise guests. The site was filled with excitement as a live house.

Yunho(27) and Changmin(25) visited Japan for promoting their new album "TIME", which will be on sale on March 6. They scheduled their surprise visit to encourage cast and staff for "Saki", Tohoshinki sing the main OST of the drama "Catch Me- If you wanna". Although it was their first meeting, duo gave Miura and Ishiguro red wine which were bottled in the same as their birth year as a evil woman Saki, Yukie Nakama(33) plays the role, gave wine as a gift in drama. In return, the director offered them a part in the drama because Miura and Ishiguro were very excited with surprise gift and cheers they're given. Tohoshiki accepted offer happily "aren't we disturbing you? We'd be glad to!" and that's how their first appearance on Japanese drama was arranged.

The duo challenged to be as customers at a café who were captured behind Miura and Ishiguro. Miura had to admit when he sat in his seat "This is obviously not the aura from extra" because of their strong presence. When the duo was asked to ad-lib, they ate each other's cake and ad-libbed "yummy~"(Changmin) and "good, good"(yunho) which was approved OK with one shooting.

The duo had second helpings of cake and made people laugh with their comment "I ate seriously". The very natural way of their acting captured people.

After about an hour of filming, Yunho told "I wasn't under pressure at all since it was the scene for me to just eat. Please invite us anytime if it's eating role! Why don't we try Japanese cuisine next time?" with smile. Changmin who enjoyed the experience of Japanese drama production mentioned "I envied of at-home atmosphere like a family."

Five-dorm tour with 700,000 fans will launch on April 27

Tohoshinki will start their first Five-dorm tour with their new record of 700,000 fans on April 27 at Saitama Super Arena(6 locations with 16 concerts). The duo invited Miura and Ishiguro "please come to see our tour" and they became friends while they enjoyed their "tall-guys talk" since they are all above 180cm tall.

When Yunho suggested "Why don't we try a story like four of us are buddies next time?", Ishiguro replied "Then the jacket of your next new single is going to be four of us." friendly. We may see "new Tohoshinki" established soon?!

[NEWS] 1330304 Key reveals TVXQ had to move around often

2013-03-05T12:54:00.001+07:00

SHINee‘s Key revealed why TVXQ had to move all the time when the members used to live together in the same apartment.

Key was a guest on the March 1st installment of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Full House‘. Since space is at a premium in Seoul, most of the housing available are apartments. Unfortunately, residents who live near popular idols suffer from a lot of noise caused by fans. Keeping this in mind, the MC asked Key, “SHINee is currently dorming together, correct? A lot of fans must come to see you. It might get noisy…”

Key answered, “We haven’t experienced a lot of that lately. But I heard that when TVXQ used to dorm together, so many fans came to visit them that they had to move around all the time. Since the members never knew when they’d have to move again, they didn’t even bother unpacking their belongings.“

Intro "Rooftop Prince" and I Miss You

-Skit: ‘Ma Lan Po’ Prince (Ma Lan Po/Ma Lan Shan is where the recording studio of Hunan TV is located at)-
Lee Gak: Don’t move. What is that in your hands?
Nana: These are the tickets to the Lantern Festival Special I got from the uncle of the neighbouring village by exchanging 4 shoe lifts which I stole from brother Jiong (name of another host of the Lantern Festival Special)
Lee Gak: What a loving pair of siblings
Nana: I have just one more ticket. Not for sale. Do you want to go together? What are you waiting for? Let’s go!
Caption: Portal to Ma Lan Shan
Caption: Ma Lan Shan, here we come
Nana: I only invited you, why did you bring so many people here? Pretending to be F4? Really, I only have one extra ticket. Your three brothers can watch the live broadcast at home. Really ‘mianhae’
Lee Gak: Where is this place?
Nana: You’re stating the obvious. If you want to watch the Lantern Festival Special, it’s a given that you need to come to Ma Lan Po simida (pun on ‘nida’ that tends to end Korean words)
Lee Gak: Looks like we are under a spell cast by this evil demon! This impudent demon! Undo this spell right now!
Nana: Oh no, the person is here but not his brain. It’s alright, I’ll have my way to make him remember.
Nana: Do you remember when you came here to play the seesaw with the family of five from Happy Camp? The five of us where at this end, Haitao was at the other end. When Haitao jumped and sent us up, we never came down since, you were even breathless.
Nana: Do you remember this swing? At that time, you were the one who bought it. When you were not around, I rent it out and lots of children came to play. I’ve earned a few hundreds
Jungwoo: No
Nana: What, you don’t remember? I’ve already collected the money, it’s all money from the children’s red packets. How happy, the children now don’t have their red packet money anymore. That’s not something you need to know
Jungwoo: Hug me

15min Cut

-Talk-
Jiong: Let’s give a round of applause to welcome Park Yoochun!
Nana: Welcome!
Jiong: Happy new year. Firstly, let’s have Park Yoochun introduce himself
Yoochun: Hello everyone, I am Park Yoochun
Jiong: Firstly, Nana (host 2), talk about your feelings when you represented all his fans by bringing him on stage
Nana: Before coming out, I confirmed with him if it was okay to hold his hand and come out, would i get bashed. He said, it’s okay and consoled me
Jiong: Because Yoochun specially came over to the set and watched the time-slip skit prepared for him yesterday, what are your feelings after watching it?
Yoochun: The acting was better than I expected, if there’s a chance, it might be good if we worked together in a project in China.
Yoochun: Just then, I was watching the broadcast in the waiting room and felt that (Nana) was very pretty.
Yoochun: Piao-liang (pretty)
Nana: Kamsahamnida
Jiong: Actually, we know that he has a new name that is given by the China fans, do you know what that is? It’s a name of a dish. Called steamed fish
Jiong: Because the name of your character in Missing You translated in Chinese sounds like steamed fish
Yoochun: Then, do the fans in China get to see me whenever they have their meals?
Jiong: Especially in the New Year, because fish is a must in the New Year. Also, because he acted as the crown prince and Jungwoo, his name is very suitable for auspicious greetings (Crown prince in Chinese is Wang Shi Zi, Shi happens to also be ‘thing’). Let’s say it together. First ‘wang shi zi’, wish that everything will happen just as you wish (zhu da jia shi shi ru yi)
Jiong: His Chinese is great. Next, Jungwoo
Nana: Wish everyone to have surplus every year (zhu da jia nian nian you yu)
Yoochun: Zhu da jia nian nian you ‘yi’
Jiong: No no no, zhu da jia nian nian you yu (‘yu’ verses ‘yi’)
Nana: The mouth needs to go like this
Jiong: Great, really happy. Everyone is really welcoming of Park Yoochun here tonight at the Lantern Festival Special
Host 2: There’s one person in particular who’s feeling a little jealous inside
Jiong: He’s caused himself some problem
Nana: Caused a great problem
Jiong: He’s done lots of wrong towards Park Yoochun
Nana: Yesterday, we asked Park Yoochun if he saw a picture in Korea and he said yes
Jiong: Let’s bring this person on stage
Jiong: You’ve caused a great problem! How dare you wear this costume
Host 3 (Haitao): Oppa, I miss you very much!
Yoochun: I miss you too
Jiong: Haitao, just to remind you, in Korean, only the girls call the elder brother ‘oppa’, guys should use ‘hyung’
Jiong: There might be some audience who don’t get the story. There was someone who said Haitao resembled Park Yoochun online, and Park Yoochun’s fans couldn’t take it so Haitao did something grave and photoshopped a picture. Let’s see this picture. Which Yoochun also saw in Korea.
Jiong: Okay Yoochun, now that you’ve seen Haitao in real life, do you have anything to say to him? Do you think he looks like you?
Nana: No answer
Jiong: He’s turned silent
Yoochun: His lips are especially charming, more alike than what I had expected
Haitao: Same same
Nana: No same
Jiong: Haitao, we’ll gift you this phrase, “If you’ve slimmed down, then you’re Yoochun.”
Haitao: Oppa can’t gain weight
Jiong: Today, we’ll have Haitao oficially apologise to Yoochun. You’ve used Yoochun’s pictures to cheat and gain fans, and did many other things
Host 4: Also, did you photoshopped another picture today where you sat together in an aeroplane?
Host 3: Yes, we sat in a aeroplane, he sat there and I sat here.
Nana: That was photoshopped?
Host 5: Let me tell you, he has at least 10 more of those pictures in his phone that has yet to be uploaded
Haitao: Brother, I’m so sorry… But I love you very very much
Yoochun: My brother
Jiong: We have prepared a special award ‘Think too much’ for Haitao to be personally presented by Park Yoochun. The prize is really unique
Jiong: Cover it on for him
Nana: I feel like just covering him up
Jiong: Alright, it’s to reignite some memories of Rooftop Prince. Next, the present prepared by Park Yoochun will reignite the memories of Missing You.
Nana: Ah, this scarf. I’m watching (the drama) now
Jiong: This is something Park Yoochun specially brought from Korea. A scarf of the same style shown in Missing You.
Jiong: One scarf will be given to an audience present, another will be awarded to an audience in front of the tv through Hunan’s smartphone app Hula
Jiong: We all know that there are two distinct types of characters that Park Yoochun act in. First, an adorable type. Let’s have you select someone to put the scarf on in an adorable manner
Jiong: In an adorable way
Host 4: Everyone’s shouting their own name
Nana: Ottoke
Jiong: Thank you Yoochun. Return it, we’ll need this scarf again. We all know, there’s another type of image than Yoochun has, regardless in Rooftop Prince or Missing You, as a police, he is very macho and manly. Next, we’ll use this manner to put the scarf on another person. Macho. You can choose another person.
Nana: Strangle him with it once
Host 4: Apart from the scarf to be given away, there’s also Haitao’s odour on it
Jiong: Next, we’ll have Park Yoochun himself select the audience he wishes to give the scarf to. Park Yoochun will use this camera to film the person he wishes to give the scarf to.
-omitted
Jiong: The person in the middle of the image.
Yoochun: Yes, this person
-omitted
Jiong: It is regretful for those who didn’t get the scarf, however, it’s alright as Yoochun will sing us a theme song from Missing You tonight. This song is also the ringtone of Jungwoo and Sooyeon
Nana: Sooyeon ah
Jiong: A round of applause for Park Yoochun!
