The Apostle Paul is so amazing when I read his epistles. This is so Simple yet so much the truth for a Believer. It is a simple verse in the NIV Translation and it is what i hold dear to my soul it is only 10 word but is as follows : and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God. 1 Corinthians 3 :23. Read those words and understand who you and i are. We are Gods People and he has no other desire then to be with his people. This goes back to Genesis 1: 26 - 27
26 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness. They will rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the livestock, all the earth, and the creatures that crawl on the earth." 27 So God created man in His own image;
He created him in the image of God; He created them male and female.

This to me is why it took God to come down to us in the Form of a Man Jesus Christ, his Son. He had to become man yet still fully divine and bring the new Covenant to us. The true and everlasting covenant so that we his people will be able to be with the Father through the Son in Eternity.

The Calling - Tug

I purposely left the end of this scripture where they all said they refuse to take the path..

Today I had a strong feeling in my inner soul for the lord. It is hard to explain in words. I honestly must say maybe I am in the crossroads that Jeremiah 6:16 was referring to. I started thinking back to where i was and where i am. Now i find myself pondering where am i Going. Am i dong enough as a man of Faith, husband and father. Today the pulling / tugging on my heart led me to think NO! I honestly feel I wrap myself up into myself so much that i am at a distance from my family and god. My mind is constantly thinking on overdrive . I know the path to take, just have to do it. I need to do more, be more. I need to live and love. There needs to be time spent guiding my kids in faith and life. It is passing by so fast. I don't want to miss these moments.

As i think back on all on all i have done with my new cleansed heart and mind I hae so much to mend and make up for. I have made huge steps in my personal healing but feel in my heart i have more to do. I must learn and become a voice for my faith also. I have a great testimony currently in the works, because i am no where near the man i was. God is slowly pealing away the layers of junk that has covered up the depth of my being for so long. The light is starting to shine into the core of my soul. Its warmth is spreading like a wild fire in a dry brush. Hopefully one day soon it will completely consume the dried up dead brush of my past and allow the newness of my life to take root and grow. The road I am on seems to be the right one. It is just making sure not getting off is the priority/ The path is leaning me to a awakening that is full of Grace. Just like the song says " Amazing Grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me!I once was lost but now am found, was blind but now i see"

It was hard to get where i am, but it seems that by the Grace awakening in me the future is going to be so much easier. I Must Do More!!! I Will Do More!!

BEHOLD The Lamb of God

The Word BEHOLD is not a word we here today in the times we live in. I honestly cant ever remember when i heard it said last except during the reading Scripture. John 1 : 29 The next day he saw Jesus coming to him & said "BEHOLD the Lamb of God who Takes away the sin of the World" Then again in John 1: 35-36 Again the next day John was standing with 2 of his disciples and he looked at Jesus as he walked and said " Behold the Lamb of God !"

The word BEHOLD has a simple meaning yet is very Profound. The webster dictionary defines it as : to have in sight ; to see clearly; to look at ; to regard with the eyes. What else i found in looking into the definition of behold is that the example the Webster dictionary gives of the word in a sentence is actually John 1:29 which is pretty cool if i do say so myself. After thing on it i now see the importance of a simple word we dont even use today. I can imagine in myself there on the bank of the Jordan River with John the Baptist speaking with such amazement saying " Behold ", look there he is , the man who is here to save us all, God in flesh, hear to cleanse us all of every wrong doing & sin. It is hard for me to understand why there wouldn't be thousands upon 100's of thousands of people following him. I mean there he was in flesh, face to face amongst his people. Yet many doubted him. Now here we are today and we still seem to be like many of the people who met him face to face. It seems like we can except god in our lives but when it comes to Jesus many stay a distance. It is a deep down guilt feeling of the truth of what Jesus Did for us that i feel people dont want to except so they would rather just stay clear of the fact. So we keep Jesus on the Shelf like the book that we keep but just never really open up to dive into, but we still have the book its just dusty and out of sight.

With that being said i am working everyday to take some time to look to Jesus More and MORE. Beholding his Glory and what he did for me all so many years ago. Making My ability to reach eternity in heaven even possible. I truly believe i should look to him even more and spend my time in pray with him every time i can.... Paraphrasing John the Baptist , Look there he is , here to save me, BEHOLD the SAVIOR!!!!! JESUS CHRIST

Struggles and Fear Psalm 23

Psalm 23: 1-6

1 THE LORD is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack.2 He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters. 3 He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him--not for my earning it, but] for His name’s sake.4 Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me.5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. I chose to grab the Amplified version of the great prayer because it gives a little more juice to one of my favorite Prayers. We often find ourselves in fear and struggle. Not knowing what where to go or what to do when a obstacle presents its self before us. I think of the Psalmist David who him self was a shepherd wrote this prayer and gave a great hands on account for how God watches over us like sheep. See sheep are in constant need of care and attention as are we. Sheep are pretty fragile and no so smart animals as are we in some aspects of our lives. So when we look at God as the Protector and Guider of his Flock (us) we know we have the most amazing Shepherd looking over us. No Matter what comes before us it is in him we turn to for protecting and guidance in all things.

Oh my friends how easy it is to get lost like the sheep. We have so many things working against us. From the evil one to material things, and sin, and even other people ,we have many things trying to lead us astray and away from him. I know it is a struggle. I struggle daily if not hourly. It is just understanding that even though this person or this thing has caused some reaction in my life momentarily, it can not be allowed to change my understanding of who loves and wants and protects me. The ideas that we can turn to him at any moment and know deep in our core that he is still there for us , is truly the best think i can imagine. Before i knew him(god) i was lost and now i am found like the sheep who went on his own adventure and now is back in the flock.

My GOD protects, My GOD loves, My GOD guides and as the song goes MY GOD is An AWESOME GOD.

These words are what define our lord and our life. God creates all and god can destroy all. We are made to love and praise the creator. He has built this all for us and loves us so much. We need to understand both his love and his power. After all he has made us all and watches over us until the day comes when he ask us to be by his side and he returns.

The Caterpillar & The Butterfly

What a amazing creature the Caterpillar is. A caterpillar is a creature that spends its life crawling around from place to place, living a rather dull and mundane life. It doesn't necessarily serve any major purpose but, there it is. Doing its quote un quote thing.
The Caterpillar is a rather simple looking insect, usually one color, slowly crawling around like a slinky with legs, Til one day; something inside it causes it to long for something different. The Caterpillar starts to feel a need to get to a place where it can feel safe and start its next journey in its life. So this little useless, boring caterpillar finds a place of comfort, usually in a tree or bush. It then starts to build a cocoon. Now in its cocoon it starts to change.
The change take time & doesn't happen over night. It is developing its self into something completely & utterly different.

Now the Time has come...........
One Day the cocoon opens up and low and behold, Something amazing happens. Something that doesn't even resemble the caterpillar breaks through the shell of the cocoon.

On this day a creature with endless possibilities is born. For this creature has wings and is no longer limits to the slow crawl on the ground. Gone is the boring rather dull look of its former self, now it is a sight to behold. It is full of amazing color and has grand wings to take it anywhere it wants to be. Case in point the now transformed butterfly is not even a fraction of its previous self.

The Human Connection to the Caterpillar and the Butterfly

When we look at ourselves we may find some similarities between the story of the butterfly. As humans we are often in the day to day life we live. Going from Point A to Point B, unfulfilled full of void and searching for our true calling in life.
One day we feel that pulling in our heart, that whisper in the back of our ear and we feel the urge to find out more about what these other people are finding in god. So we start to hear the word and feel the word. We wrap ourselves around it. Keeping it close to us. Cocooning ourselves in the word of god. While in this state we are being transformed . Not over night, but over time. We find our fleshly self and spiritual self being molded until that day comes and we.......Break form that cocoon and take our true form. Leaving our past self behind. Not resembling the Caterpillar of old. We are now full of spirit and life. We have our spiritually filled wings and we can accomplish great things.

I tell you if you have felt the pull in your heart to find out more about our lord, just take that step. That often uncomfortable and hard first step in molding your self. For god so Loves us more than we even know and he wants us in his life. Don't Spend your life stuck as a Caterpillar but become like the Butterfly , because eternity is waiting, so make that first step. God Bless.

I know in my heart that I am loved. Give me 9 months ago and I would say you are crazy. It comes at a point where your life and soul take a turn towards the true calling. For me it was a panic phone call from my wife begging me to go see the priest at my local parish. At the moment I was filling myself full of me. I was planning a day of drinking and living the life I was. When my wife called at 10am saying the deacon wanted to meet with me, I became pissed. I blamed her for putting this new burden on me. I was happy in my life of self destruction. I had my day planned and she was interfering...Little did i know it was the greatest interference in my life I ever had.

Here is a great idea! Have a family and love them with all your heart. This is my little mini me or i call him Hurricane Noah. He is a trip. Drives my crazy and makes me smile all the time. It is so funny how one little person can bring out every sense of emotion a person can. One minute i am hugging and kissing him and the next i am being the force full stearn parent repremanding him for throwing water on floor or swinging the cat by the tail. It is so funny how it works with kids. I love mine with all my heart and sometimes find myself missing them more and more everyday from the hours and demands that my work and life in general causes. This little guy here is quiet the handful. In the dictonary under the work Tazmanian Devil it is his picture.

So here it is people. I finally went to see Iron Man and all i can say is Wow!This is what the summer movie season is all about. It has action,drama and yes comedy. It really does hit every point and is paced very perfectly. All in al a great flick and by the way I was right on my Box Office prediction , I thought it would do better than $85 mil!Ok to the story we go first of all the movie uses a great jump cute to get the story flowing right from the beginning. The Opening scene is sums up the way the movie flows from begining to end. You have some pretty funny lines and then some action and then some drama. Then the jump cut back to 36 hours ealrier. The movie then flows pretty much from there with no more jumping back and forth. As for the plot it is pretty simple but in a movie like this simple is good. Our Anti Hero has a vision and changes for the better to right his wrongs. Simple Right! Well in a nut shell that is it. What I love is the fact that Tony's character changes but still keeps all the charm and charisma it had before his crazy ass turn of events. ( If what happened to him happened to me, I would change TOO!) It ends up as a typical struggle of good vs Evil!Now for the Acting. Well in most action summer flicks we get the typical so so acting and it is all about the action and f/x right. Well i must say that this is not Oscar winning stuff but not your typical knucklehead off the wall acting either. Downey Jr does a great job as Tony aka Iron Man. He comes off very funny and reminded me of his day on Ally Mcbeal, yes i said Ally Mcbeal. My ex made me watch it. Let me tell you something Jeff Bridges who plays Odabiah Stone. I wont ruin it for those of you who have not scene it yet but he did great. Nice Bald head tooAll the rest of the characters all came across very cool and were cast perfectly as well. Jon Favreau and his team did a all in all great job casting this flick.Now for the Action and what i like to say the nutz and bolts of every true summer action flick. Well Iron Man doesn't disappoint here at all. I still think the suit is amazing even today just thinking about how cool it is. When Robert Downey Tells his Computer to put some Hot Rod Red on it i thought "hell yea that is cool as hell" I wasn't the only one too. When you see him take of and fly around you completely forget you are watching a CGI clip the Fx was done so well. Now i I have heard some complaints from some people that they thought there wasn't enough action in the movie. I will tell you that the 4 scenes are plenty. The pace is so fast and the movie keep cruising along you wont relize this at all. The end battle is awesome and it will get you pumping your fist. I found my self plenty of time just shaking my head in amazment. I must say that if this is a sign of things to come this season we are in for a true treat at the Box Office this summer. I for one cant wait. Indy 4 and Chronicle of Narnia are next for me. I am so pumped. Thank God

Iron Man starts today!

Well today is the day for the wide release of one of my most anticipated movies of the summer. Opening on a huge 4000 plus screens it is sure to have a huge opening. I am guessing somewhere around the $85 to 95 million range. Now if you factor in the great reviews coming in I am betting we got another movie that will trend like last years Transformers and have great legs! We will have to see. My review will be coming very soon. Well friends have fun at the movies.

Time to get the ideas flowing!
