Call it energy independence, resilience, security… anything but Net Zero and Climate Change

Climate is such a dirty word now, that even the Headquarters of Globalist lefty communication (The New York Times) is telling their team to abandon it.

The Untermenschen have figured out that the climate battle is a really just a class war and they are the victims. They’ve also realized renewables are not cheap and the oceans are not boiling.

Every time the politicians mention the C word, the crowd jeers.

So in true lying-style the people who’ve been working to save the planet will just drop the term they’ve spent 30 years eulogizing, in favour of some other amorphous phrase. Just call it “energy security” they say as if random power, backed by explody batteries, and armed with Chinese chips was ever secure.

It’s how they work. They never change the policy, they just change the language. And if they repeat “energy security” mindlessly enough times it makes it harder for those worried about actual energy security to have a meaningful conversation about it. Which is the point isn’t it?

They are vandalizing the English language to cover up their crimes.

It looks like climate activists accidentally made a $180 million dollar mass-market movie that only appeals to the doomster greenie fringe who hate old white men and Big Oil.

The only reviewers with anything good to say, are ‘surprise’ the ABC and the BBC. “Digger might just be the year’s best film — if you trust the process”, says the ABC cryptically. But over at lefty headquarters, the New York Times headlines it with “Even Tom Cruise can’t save this strained satire”. It’s that bad.

Tom Cruise plays an ugly old white oil tycoon who’s team cracks a glacier in half in Greenland. According to the BBC this is the moment “reality hits when an iceberg the size of a small country splits from the glacier and starts drifting towards northern Europe. In a matter of days, a tsunami will put several major cities under water.” Righto. So they spent $180 million, but didn’t waste a cent paying any scientists to help with the script? Floating ice doesn’t raise sea levels much when it melts.

The Renewables-Interconnector Bill has arrived

The sunny days of the clean green cheap energy transition are over. Australian’s electricity bills are up again and nobody believes they will come back down. Now the Green Team is fracturing over who gets stuck with which bit of the bill.

Australia’s largest electricity generator-and-retailer, AGL, wants the poles and wires companies to foot the bill when their big transmission lines turn out to be massively more expensive and not as useful as they forecast. AGL has to collect the money from customers to pay for the interconnector lines that some bureaucrat decided to build — and it’s not happy.

Consider, for example, the case of Humelink — where costs jumped by 276 percent in just five years to $4.9 billion dollars but the claims of investment benefits fell from $491 million to, by golly, just $39 million.

But AGL doesn’t just want the network companies to absorb more of the loss, it also wants the bureaucrats face some reviews (they approved all these expenses that the public have to pay for). This El Nino is absolutely definitely the worst – apart from all the other ones we don’t know about, which is most of them.

Satellites only started in 1979, and prehistoric records of atmospheric pressure are thin on the ground. For some reason Pacific Islanders weren’t paddling out in canoes recording the sea surface temperature every day, and they certainly weren’t doing it across 5,500 kilometers, which is the area we watch today.

Yet here we are, facing headlines for months about ‘the worst ever’ El Nino, which is going to kill 450,000 people, and it’s all our fault because one study of a bunch of corals at the Galapagos found an uptick in the last 40 years.

What we really need is to find all those satellite records from the Reformation…

The Cole et al study found the holy grail of climate grants — an El Nino signal that could be construed as ‘intensified’ in the last forty years, which means they can loosely associate it with man-made CO2 emissions.

Just like that — Trump undoes years of bureaucratic tape

Green groups have condemned it, so we know it must be good for Americans, families, businesses.

Donald Trump says he’s dropped the EV Mandate. The Guardian says there was no mandate, but that’s only because the mandate was hidden in a kind of monster red-tape Octopus. Manufacturers were forced to balance their whole fleet’s emissions each year. That meant if their customers didn’t want to buy enough low emission EV’s the manufacturer would have to discount the EV’s and charge artificially more for the cars everyone really wanted in order to create the Soviet-style sales goal.

This would mean that people buying a petrol or diesel car would be subsidizing a driver who bought an EV. Presumably the rich would get whatever car they wanted while the rural poor would have to pay more to get a long distance car. If a company sold too many high emission cars (because that’s what the customers wanted) it would have to buy credits on a trading market (which subsidizes the EVs).

Sob Sob. You awful sod. Because you drive a petrol car, somewhere there are children living off two minute noodles. If you only bought an EV, the kids might eat lettuce again.

At least that’s what you are supposed to think. The lines of evidence are so convoluted it took four experts to write this:

Wildfires, floods, and other extreme weather events are no longer the only ways in which climate change affects the lives of children around the world. Increasingly, its also impacting their diets. Droughts reduce agricultural production, floods cut off roads and disrupt supply chains, and rising prices limit families’ access to fruits, vegetables, and other fresh foods.

In this scenario, cheaper, longer-lasting products with low nutritional value are gaining ground, increasing the risk of two conditions that, at first glance, may seem contradictory: childhood obesity and malnutrition.

The truth is, Climate Change™ (the obsession) does cause childhood malnutrition. The countries which use less fossil fuels are generally the poorer ones, and poor people can’t afford to eat red sockeye salmon from Alaska.
