Angry Birds Craze!

2011-04-07T19:52:00.000-07:00

Ok, I admit it, when my husband told me about this game called Angry Birds that his friend let him play on his phone, I thought, what the heck is that?! That doesn't sound fun!

At that time, my husband & I didn't have fancy phones that we could download these silly games on and he would bug me everyday about getting a smart phone just so he could play Angry Birds!

Needless to say, I got him a phone for his birthday (for a PENNY!)

and the first thing he did was download...yup, Angry Birds!

Eventually, I got hooked too and next thing you know Angry Birds was popping up everywhere! Even Conan O'brien played it! haha.

People kept telling us that we needed to do some Angry Bird cake pops and FINALLY I got an order for them!!!

I was pretty excited! They turned out better than I expected!

Hope you like them as much as I do!

those darn pigs!..

Yellow & Black Angry Birds...

Red Angry Birds...

(not my favorites cause they don't really do damage!)

Yellow Angry Birds...

maybe I'll try the other birds as well on the next order :)

Thanks for stopping by!

LAKER LOVE!

2011-04-07T19:35:00.000-07:00

This is probably our most favorite cake so far!

Almost all of our family members are all about the

LAKERS!!!

I was soo excited to get this order from a classmate. It was very sweet that a Laker cake was requested because the young lady who ordered it for her boyfriend is soo NOT a Lakers fan! That's love right there! lol.

This was my first order for a custom cake, so I called on my sis, Donna, who had way more custom cake orders under her belt than I did. This was by far the funnest cake to assemble! Everytime we'd put a piece on, we'd have a cheesy smile on our faces and would have to take a step back to admire how well it was coming along!

We had so much fun with this cake that we decided WHEN the Lakers win yet another championship this season, we're going to make a whole table of Laker goodies! :)

Anyway, enough talk, HERE is our favorite cake!

here's another angle...

and another...

just one more angle (i promise!)...

Hi All,

Well, we've all been busy filling orders and trying out new delicious recipes - thanks so much for supporting our business!

Updated brochure
We recently updated our brochure - check it out here or you can click the Brochure & Price List link above.

Featured Flavor
Also, we want to introduce a yummy new cake flavor which will be available from now until the end of November.

~Pumpkin Spice Cake~

We think this is the perfect flavor to help welcome the fall season, Halloween and the Thanksgiving holiday! The cake pop is made up of the delectable Pumpkin Spice cake, mixed with cream cheese frosting, and dipped in the chocolate of your choice. Or, if you prefer, imagine biting into a Pumpkin Spice cupcake topped with cream cheese frosting-it would go perfectly with a cup of hot cocoa or your favorite coffee.

Want to give it a try? You won't regret it. To place an order, simply email us at joannemichelletreats@gmail.com or by give us a call at one of the numbers listed in our brochure. We look forward to hearing from you.

cake pops

2010-09-05T15:07:00.000-07:00

I first saw cake pops by an awesome blogger bakerella. I thought these little things and the way she designed them were soooo cute. I decided to make some for my family and we had some extra's (I'm on a Medifast diet, otherwise I would eat them all myself!) so I had my husband take them to work. And so it started, his coworkers asked him if I could make some for them and that they would pay me...so I made some more, and, yup, they paid me!

My sister, Donna, and I had talked about opening up a business years ago, but we both said, "I would do it, but I don't know how to do the business part.. I just bake and make cards..." so our plans always went on the backburner.

I made a couple more arrangements and posted the pictures on my Facebook page. I got a lot of great encouraging comments telling me I should start a business, then one day my cousin, Christine, sends me a text that basically said, if we want to start something, she could take care of the business part of it! "Holy Moly!", I thought. I quickly told my sister, and things just started coming together from there. We all have a love for baking AND making homemade cards, so we decided to incorporate all of that into our business.

So, here we are, all baking, trying out new recipes, giving out samples and making greeting cards. We've already got a couple of orders lined up for the rest of the year and early next year. We are so excited to start this family buisness and are soooo greatful to all our family and friends who have already shown so much support. Who knows, maybe one day we'll have our own little bakery/store someday!!! We're keeping our fingers crossed! :D

Creating handmade cards and baking delicious treats for our loved ones has been something the three of us have enjoyed doing since we were young children. At gatherings after dinner, we would take over the kitchen and make wonderful and delicious cakes and cookies to share with our family. These traditions have continued over the years with our own families. And now, we are happy to be able to share these traditions with you.
