It is a leading Trust for teaching, training and research, with close links to both Oxford and Oxford Brookes Universities.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Vaughan Thomas ward is based at the Warneford Hospital, Headington, Oxford and provides specialist inpatient acute mental health services to adults of working age from across Oxfordshire.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In the Adult Services Directorate we ensure that we constantly provide our users and carers with the most up to date service possible and therefore the successful individual will need to be committed to, and experienced in, the implementation of practice development and practice improvement projects and initiatives.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;To aid you in this you will be part of a Deputy Ward Manager Practice Development Group facilitated by a Clinical Nurse Specialist that seeks to promote Band 6 nurses as the Clinical Leads within their ward and equip them with the knowledge and skills to fulfil this role.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As a Deputy Ward Manager you will be a cornerstone in the management team of your ward and will work closely with the Ward Manager, another Band 6 Deputy Ward Manager and a Band 6 O.T. to collaboratively supervise, develop and mentor your nursing colleagues.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Within this framework you will in effect be required to be the first line manager for a team of band 5 and band 3 nurses whilst you work under the support and supervision of your Ward Manager. Training to enhance your knowledge and skills in this area can be provided. You will be a core member of the Ward Multi-Disciplinary Team and you will need to be robust and dynamic to meet the demands of your clinical / managerial roles and only the most motivated, enthusiastic and adaptable of candidates with an interest in clinical governance should apply.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We will only appoint those individuals who are able to demonstrate a commitment to providing high quality care to our acutely unwell patients and their carers and who possess the skills for strong direct leadership and role modelling of best practice to their colleagues.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;To be successful in the post applicants will possess excellent communication and motivational skills and the ability to prioritise and manage their own and others workloads. &lt;p&gt;A major transformation programme is underway, focussed on business change with IT as an enabler. This will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of some core activities in finance, HR and procurement, as well as supporting new ways of providing social care and improving our interaction with citizens. In parallel with this, new and improved public-facing services are being developed to meet specific service needs, often as part of a Central Government or other nationwide initiative.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;span class="caps"&gt;SAP&lt;/span&gt; is now our cornerstone technology that will enable the delivery of the Transformation Programme and all key IT functions will be provided through, or integrated with, &lt;span class="caps"&gt;SAP&lt;/span&gt; – often with the support of 3rd parties that are acknowledged leaders in their field.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;As a Project Manager in the County Council’s Information Management and Technology Service (IMT), you will be part of an established team with responsibility for the delivery of a range of projects. These will cover all aspects of the Council’s IT delivery, many related to &lt;span class="caps"&gt;SAP&lt;/span&gt;, and others supporting mobile working, web-enabled services, enterprise technologies and specialist service needs.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Our methodology is based upon &lt;span class="caps"&gt;PRINCE 2&lt;/span&gt; and incorporates regular formal reporting and management of risk and issue logs. &lt;span class="caps"&gt;IMT&lt;/span&gt; Project Managers lead teams, often virtual, of various sizes – sometimes Corporate-wide. Project Managers liaise directly with senior staff across the Authority and frequently with suppliers to manage complex projects through their life cycle. Performing project risk and issue management, you will plan, monitor and report on project costs, resources and schedules, maintaining full documentation throughout.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;You will currently be working in a project management role and have experience across a variety of projects, from technical infrastructure to business change.
