There are a variety of interesting and challenging civilian career positions with opportunities of working in collaboration with police officers for a safer community.&lt;br /&gt;

Policing is working with people to ensure public safety through crime prevention and law enforcement. Policing builds relationships in the community and makes a difference in the lives of people.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Special Constables are civilian members who play an important role within various sections of the Ottawa Police Service. Their special Peace Officers designation is issued by the province of Ontario, providing the civilian members with a limited Law Enforcement role in the City of Ottawa.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The Ottawa Police Service believes in Community Policing - solving community problems with the assistance of members of the community. You can help, get involved!&lt;br /&gt;
