The short story falls within the “dark fiction” genre and is centered around a young woman in her mid-20s by the name of Emily. Her life is turned upside-down by an upsetting change in fortune, and with a broken dream in one hand and a knife in the other, she suffers a serious breakdown.

This is not a typical “Joe genre,” but nevertheless, the author wanted to branch out into a new style of writing as an experiment. With any luck, that experiment has paid off.

Because I’d like to share images and such with all of you, I figured that starting a Pinterest account would be the best option. I intended to distribute book flyers and publicize other images, such as funny images related to writing, but I figured that for every 500 flyers I made, 499 would probably end up in the trash. Putting it on Pinterest is cheaper and creates less waste.

Joe has begun work on his fifth short story, which is expected to be available for release in August. Its genre is unlike anything Joe has done before: dark fiction.
