Last night I took Koehn to the Circus and it was awesome.  Seriously awesome.  We saw clowns, high flyers on the trapeze and even a woman that changed her clothes 15 times in less than a few minutes.  If you were there, you know what I am talking about!

I kept thinking what it be like when we reach so many people with the message of Jesus that we have to meet at an arena to get everyone together.

We set a goal to have 1000 people in attendance each week at one of our three Aviator Church locations.  Within a 5 mile radius of all three locations, we have over 100,000 people.  We want to reach the 1st 1 percent of that 100,000 and keep going until everyone knows about Jesus and follows Him.

We are 90% there and I need your help to reach that last 10%.  This is about our families and our friends that need to know Jesus.  Will you join me in inviting our friends and getting everyone on the same page with Jesus!  Together can see this become a reality!

This is Super Bowl Sunday.  I love Super Bowl Sunday!  We get to go to church in the morning and watch the best of the best teams play on Sunday night.  People get amped about the Super Bowl and make plans to have friends and family come to their house and experience amazing hospitality, great conversation, and hopefully victory for their team.

We get to do that every week at church.  The only difference is, we already know our team wins, we get to talk about the most important leader in the world, and we should have a packed house every Sunday.  Every Sunday at Aviator Church is the Super Bowl for us!

We have greeters at the front doors expecting guests every week.  Since we started, there has not been one Sunday that we have not had multiple guests at each of our three locations.  Every week we have groups that meet to huddle and help people experience life in a whole new way – Together.

This week, we have three reasons you don’t want to miss church:

1. We are opening the message with a special video that is a worldwide phenomena.

2. We will see marriages restored this weekend.

3. Jesus.

We have a goal of reaching over 1000 people in weekly experiences starting this weekend.  we are just a few more invitations away from reaching the goal.  Maybe your team didn’t make it to the Super Bowl this year, but you and your friends can make it to church this weekend!

Today was a great day at Aviator Church.  We are 85% to reaching our goal of 1000 people.  Keep it up and personally invite people because this series called Man vs. Wife offers three main benefits to improving marriages.

1. Studies show that couples who attend church together, pray together, and read the Bible daily have a 1 in 16,000 divorce rate.  Wow.  Going to church and seeking God significantly beats the 50% divorce rate in America today.

2. You can gain valuable insight into the minds and hearts of the opposite sex.  Seriously, this is extremely important and we are offering a great way to learn without direct confrontation inside your relationship.

3. We are offering a great marriage enrichment experience called TheMarriageAdvance.  Why retreat when you can gain new ground.  This will be held at the Wichita East LaQuinta and is worth the investment.  Past participants said this took their relationship to a new level and they would recommend it to their friends.  You guys must be because it is filling up.  Space is limited and the deadline for sign up is February 5th.  Sign up HERE.

Bonus news:

Aviator Church Wellington was awarded a community service award by the Wellington Chamber of Commerce.

Koehn, our son, came through his hip surgery like a champ and we are praying for a speedy recovery.

Aviator Church Derby celebrated 4 more baptisms today!  That never gets old!

Aviator Church North Wichita over 50 people at their midweek prayer service this week.

God is doing great things through great people.

Today was a great start to our Man Vs. Wife Series.  We had a record non Easter attendance in Derby and waiting to see the reports from all of our other locations.

Here are some of the comments we heard today:

“I actually liked church.  Didn’t expect that.”  ~ Guy that hadn’t been to church in 20 years.

“I learned so much about our marriage today.  Can’t wait to learn what men think next week!” ~ Wife of 6 years.

“Bro, I never laughed so hard in church in my life!” ~ Husband married 11 years.

“My mom and Dad came to church today.  They really need this.  We all do.” ~ Daughter who has been inviting her family for months.

Today we kicked off the series “Church in the Wild” at Aviator Church.  If you missed it, you should get to church next week because the train is rolling but you can still jump on because January 8th is going to be incredible.

Today we saw people break down and leave the masks behind.  We even interrupted the 9:30 worship experience and laid hands and prayed for people.  One of the best moments in our church history.

Thursday and Friday I spoke at the InDepth Youth Conference in Topeka, KS and rented a car for the trip.  While we were driving back home, my iPhone slid off the dash and fell under the passenger seat of the car.  When i got home, I forgot to look under the seat and returned the car to the renter.  Ouch.  Now they are closed until Tuesday.  So please do 2 things for me:

1. Pray that i get my iPhone back.

2. Forgive me if I don’t get your call.

The Christmas Eve experiences were amazing and we saw almost 1000 people over the past two nights across three locations!  God is so good.  Many people received Christ this year and we were blown away by the families that shared their stories.  I am so thankful to be part of Aviator Church.

I am even more exited about next year.  We will not have worship on the 25th but we will start a new series on January 1st at all three locations.  We will see you in 2012!
